An elderly family member bought some salsa here that was three weeks past expiration when sold. It was spoiled as one would expect three weeks after expiration. Seven us got violently ill. Rude awakening and a mean staff is what you will get whenever you walk in this place. Dirty floors is what you will see when you go through the aisles here. Expired milk is what you get if you even are able to locate low fat. Ants inside their bag of chips is your topping due to the fact their stock person opens up and literally tastes the chips in front of you. Cereal is stale if you decide to buy one of their expired boxes. Bad customer service is what's in store. read more

Horrible customer service! Stood at the service desk for 15 minutes while Dawn was on the phone and never acknowledged my existence. At least say you'll be with me in a few minutes. PLEASE READ! This place is scary and could care less about customer service. I am sitting outside the store right now writing this review so I'm a bit heated. I was violently sick most of the morning because of a OIKOS drink that had expired 2 weeks ago at this location. The ironic thing is that I had picked up my normal cottage cheese lucerne small curd and realized it was 15 days expired---2 of them. I wish I was making this up. Never did I think to look at the expiration on the yogurt drink. My wife Always looks at the dates. Guess what the manager did for me. Refunded my .90 cents. Wow. This Albertsons is AMAZING! They take care of all my needs and I'm a senior citizen. They don't make me wait to long (even with the COVID) . The only reason I did 4/5 is because the APP. (It used to be a lot more glitchy but now it seems they worked on it a bit and it's working better.) Tammy a Checker at Albertson's is always Helpful Courteous & Professional & Cyndi is too. Tonight I got to Albertson's about 15 minutes before closing. Cyndi went out of her way to go & get an item I wanted while I was checking out. She saw I has my Cane & it was raining out. Cyndi offered to take my basket to my Car & unload the bags. I said no thank you as I am able to do it. I thanked Cyndi & Tammy for helping me. Cyndi walked with me to the door then locked the door behind me. I opened my trunk & I see Cyndi letting Tammy out to go home. Tammy walked right over & insisted to help me in a thoughtful way. Tammy put my bags into the trunk & said to me have a good night as she walked to her Car. Tammy was already clocked out for the night & she still went out of her way to help me. Cyndi didn't have to help me go get Sprite I wanted because over the speaker we were told Albertson's is closed for the night & Cyndi still helped me. I live near this Albertsons and I love Casey and Jennifer but I am not happy with what happened the day of my daughters 2nd birthday. I ordered my daughters cake a month prior and the day we were supposed to pick it up they ran almost 2 hours late. Once they said they were rushing the order, I already knew it was going to be a disaster but I already prepaid for the cake. The cake was awful and ruined the whole dessert table. I was so mortified that I just threw it away. My mother in law picked up the cake and asked for a manager but they did not even offer a refund. Such a bad experience. read more

I was just shopping at the Albertsons off Alicia and waited almost 15 minutes at the deli counter. When I was finally served the attendant told me that she could not cut the meat I had requested and that a qualified attendant would be back in 20 minutes. When I brought this problem to the manager Reynold he told me that the attendant was late and that he had just arrived. When I returned to the counter I was third in line and expressed my displeasure with Reynold. He had nothing to say to me. No apology not willing to help and could not be bothered. I finally told him that I had been shopping there for over 30 years and that his lack of service was the worst I had ever experienced followed by me telling him that he was stupid. Overall the attitude of the employees at this location is sub par and cannot hold a candle to the enthusiasm and willingness to help customers as I have experienced at Trader Joe's. It sad to see this store go downhill after many years of happy shopping. read more

I have to give a special shout out to whoever procures the liquor here. He/She/They know their whiskeys and gins well! I bought a Talisker 10 Year and the Botanist Gin. These are two somewhat obscure liquors that you can usually only find at bevmo and Total Wine. Procurement definitely knows what they are doing when it comes to liquors. Let me start with the good - the specialty cakes in the case are amazing! The coconut cake is probably the best I've ever had! I went to order a cake for my granddaughter's birthday party. The workers at night were nice and helped me and suggested I talk to the baker, Luis, because he's fantastic. They suggested I let Luis get creative in decorating (Descendants theme) and that I won't be sorry. I did just that. I spoke to Luis in the phone, but couldn't quite have a discussion. He wasn't rude but wouldn't answer me back either. I picked up the cake yesterday. It was average in decorating and taste. It was $70. I spoke to Luis and asked him you use a little icing to cover the edges of the edible graphic that we're sticking up - it looked like a printed paper was just laying on the cake. He didn't say anything and grabbed a tube and scribbled it over the edges. I tried you compliment Luis and tell him everyone thought so highly of him. But he didn't say much and just seemed unhappy. Like always, we should consider that someone is struggling with something in their life and not take it personally. I wasn't thrilled with the decorating and wanted to go ask for another color to be added or something, but I was just not comfortable. Next time I'll buy a specialty cake and be more specific with the decorating request. read more

Great supermarket with great staff that keep the market clean and well organized.

I've never really been too impressed with this particular store, but since the remodel last summer it's a lot nicer to shop in there. For the most part their checkers are friendly and the rest of the staff is pretty nice. Although, I must say there a few employees that need major attitude adjustments. I know maybe working at a grocery store isn't your "career dream job come true", but give me a break. As a recently laid off worker, who is by the way enjoying not working for a bit, I'd be more than happy to have a job with benefits. Enough about that. This review is about my experience today. I bought some vitamins that were on sale. The tag on the shelf said by one get one free. It wasn't really clear if you had to buy the same type of vitamins to qualify the sale. I picked up two bottles of different vitamins assuming I'd get the second one for free. I assumed wrong. I was charged for both but didn't realize it until I got to my car. I went back in and showed the manager my receipt and she said I had to buy the same type of vitamins. Dang! I expected just to walk out, but to my surprise she gave me a refund for the amount of the second bottle! I'd rate today's shopping visit 5-stars, but on average this store scores 3. read more

I specifically come here for my little brothers birthday every year to get him a cake(per his request). EVERY year I'm left disappointed. Last year I had purchased a white cake with white icing in the bakery section(not in the freezer). As I driving, I noticed the cake started melting and smearing all over the clear plastic lid. Turns out I bought an ice cream cake that was mislabeled and placed in the wrong section. I drove back to the store and they did rectify this. This year my brother requested I get the same cake, white cake with white icing. I stopped by today and went to purchase the cake. I saw someone in the deli section, and asked him if there was someone there able to write happy birthday. He started talking and kept walking away. I did not understand him, so I ended up following him to the deli. He told me no one was working in the bakery and no one was able to help me. So I ended up buying icing to write it myself. As I was checking out, I mentioned this to the older gentleman ringing me up. He had the audacity to turn it around and say it was my fault for not preordering the cake and requesting this in advance. Moral of the story, their bakery needs to get it together. Also if your customer mentions continuously having issues with a certain dept, don't turn it around on them and try to blame them. Instead you might want to look into how to improve your business. read more

The WORST!! Can't get the computer to work so it charges me for 5 asparagus and then the clerk finally figures it out. I double checked my receipt only to see that he did not charge me for all of the Diet Coke I had purchased. He then had to credit for one and charge me for five. All the while, the customer line was growing and people were becoming irritated. After he charged me for the soda it was $26.....wrong price. His response was Don't you know you need the app for the sale. Ridiculous. How many different ways do you need my info. I have your card do you have my email and phone already. Shop Stater Bros. Don't even think of bringing your recycling here to this store. I have been recycling for over ten years both plastic and aluminum cans. I always rinse out these items and I crush the cans so it's easier to count. Well, not only was I second guessed about my count, but was told there was no way I had the amount of crushed cans in my bag. The employees count the recycling items so for this manager to say that after they counted it was uncalled for! Rude! read more

Albertsons you have faulted horribly! After 8 years of going here I am compelled after today's horrible service to no longer stay quiet. I was appalled at the lack the f service and rudeness at the meat counter, I was carelessly pointed to some packaged meat which was not even a cut I wanted! Then, giving up I proceed to the check out where an older gentlemen gave me the quintessential flip off when I asked him why my pumpkins clearly marked on the basket where coming up twice as much, "I dunno" not let me check, nothing. So I told him to remove them from my bill. I got the "look". Pathetic service all the way around, and people wonder why we take our business elsewhere! It's a real shame. Covid hotspot for sure. I went there mid morning yesterday and just about every isle had somebody without a mask. Both employees and customers. The meat guy stocking fridge next to the cold case, some lady customer just yapping away on her cell up and down many isles, a supervisor looking middle aged lady and some associates stocking the frozen isle, some douche customers walking around like it's my right to not wear a mask. Folks, you don't have the right to do whatever you want. That's not how our society works. Thank God the governor announced that masks will be required again in public. I had enough and left my half full cart in the middle of an isle and just walked out. Plus, their prices are outrageous. Several dollars more than Smart and Final for blocks of Tillamook Cheese and frozen pizza. The exact same items and even on sale. This is an A or B rated store according to Albertsons Corp. and the one up on a Golden Lantern is a C store where I went next. There, everyone was wearing a mask. Have been coming to this store for awhile and it's on the smaller side but that's not why I have been disappointed. Every time I come in for groceries, they never seem to have prepared ribs. Only baked chicken. And what's with the bitchy bagger? Today was the last straw. At checkout, the nice checker greeted me then asked me how I was doing, "fine", I replied. Overhearing this, the bagger then took it upon herself to ALSO ask how I was doing. Okaaaay, you JUST heard me tell the checker I was fine so WHY are also asking me AGAIN? "Great, thanks for asking" I said. This snotty little bagger then proceeded to talk my ear off in a really condescending way, asking if "everything was to my liking" and "I hope you were helped, if you needed it" as if she were the manager or something. She was dripping with so much insincerity that she threw off the clearly horrified checker, who almost forgot to ring up one of my items! There's a weird vibe going on here. 'Don't know if there's a problem between the dark haired, twenty-ish bagger and the checker or WHAT but I do know I won't be shopping there again. If I want attitude like that, I'll go to the high school instead of this grocery store. I feel sorry for the checkers who have to deal with this girl. The manager should have a talk with staff about treating customers with genuine respect or, at least, kindness. read more

Wow, RODRIGO ROCKS! I came in as a last minute request from friends to make guacamole for a function that was happening within the hour. I asked a staff member Rodrigo where the Pico de Gallo was located, and he responsed by saying they were currently out! However, much to my surprise, he said he would have someone actually make a fresh batch for me! What? Really? Yes, he said, it should only take 5-10 minutes. So I continued shopping. I stopped by again, and he had already put-together a price sticker for me to go pay for the remaining items, then come back, by then the pico de gallo was ready! As others have noted, this is not a huge store, so you might not find everything but it's a good local store. I'm really impressed with the Deli - I'm not sure what changed in the past year, but it seems much more organized then it used to be. They carry Dietz & Watson meats & cheeses which give Boar's Head a run for the money. I recently purchased a couple of sandwich platters and they were just as good as the (pricer) ones I used to buy at Gelson's. A big plus about Albertson's is that I don't need to give them my "club card" or phone number to get a discount. It's nice shopping in a store that doesn't need to track my every purchase in order to give me a discount. read more

My wife and I have shopped at every grocery store in Laguna Niguel for a long time. By our professions, we are experts in customer service with over 35 years of experience. The staff and management at this store go out of their way to make your shopping experience carefree and enjoyable. Yes, it gets busy at times but the employees/management do their best to problem solve any situation that arises. By shopping here on a regular basis you get to experience the consistent customer service and get to know the staff personally. It is rare that any items on sale are out of stock, especially, on $5 Friday. The Department/Store managers are generally available unless people don't show up for work due to illness, family issues. etc. and they have to cover for them as any other place of business. Make sure you meet Gina who is one of the managers; Theresa in the Deli Dept., and Kyle one of the supervisors. Dave in the meat/seafood department will handle any need you have. Check out the new chicken pot pies when available in the Deli Department. Delicious! read more

I've been shopping at this Albertson's regularly for almost 4 years and some of the reviews about this store are really old. Anyway ... the store is very well-maintained in every section and aisle and all of the staff members are very helpful. The produce selection is pretty decent (although sometimes the fruits and veggies don't last as long as I thing as they should). The meat and seafood selection is great and the store is almost always running specials in this department. The staff will also cut and trim items for you at no extra cost. There is a very large selection of frozen food and, canned goods, pet supplies, baking items, cereal, and a great dairy section. There is an in-store bakery and deli too. The deli staff always provides samples of everything they slice for you (if they don't offer ... just ask and they'll give you a free slice no problem). They have great bolio and telero rolls and fantastic house made chips and guacamole. These items tend to run out quickly on the weekend, so if you know you're going to want them, but sure to plan accordingly. They also make cakes to order. There is a self check-out and a regular check out and most of the check-out staff will get to know you by name if you come in regularly. There's a Red Box in this store as well. The parking is plentiful and there are several access points in and out. All-in-all, this is a good every day market with a staff that is very helpful. read more

Bought pork today at your laguna niguel store to be cook for dinner. When I open the package it was so stinky and the other side of the pork is grayish green. It's really disgusting. I have the picture to prove it. So now, we don't have dinner! I need to go out again to buy dinner for my family and atfer dinner I need to drive 4 miles again to return this meat. When I went to the store I asked if I can talked to the manager of whoever is incharged. So, this guy came out of d office asked what's the problem, I told him what the problem is! He just said your money back or replace the item. I was so disappointed on his treatment to me, no "SORRY " or anything. I worked 11 yrs at Vons and we needed treat customer like this specially with complained. I have the picture and I can put his in public. Even when he gave me the money no sorry or anything. Really bad customer service. And, try to check your meat this one is not even in the clearance section and it's like this! What more those items in the clearance.
