You ever wake up on a Sunday and just want some delicious food and bottomless mimosas... we'll i have and that's how i stumbled upon ales kitchen. Man was i not dissapounted. Showed up and asked for bottomless, while they don't do that they do offer a flight of champagne with upwards of 8 juice choices and your own bottle of champagne to keep that glass full. We sat at the bar and had great service from start to finish along with great recommendations for food. I had the fried chicken Benedict and highly recommend it. The chicken was cooked to perfection and so was the biscuit and Benedict was nice and poached. I plan on going back here very soon and getting another bottle of champagne. Took my mom here for Mother's Day, one of the people I was with actually worked here when it was Philly cheese steak place. I got a Burger and my mom got a chicken fried steak. The food came fast and the service was very good. I really liked the burger one of the better diner burgers I've had. I tried some of the chicken fried steak and it was really good. Food portions were sizable to say the least. Our waitress was attentive as was all the other workers ensuring our needs were met. Although the atmosphere is contemporary you still get a good vibe from it. Besides the traffic in and out of this restaurant was constant. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. That's. My opinion. I can't wait to have lunch next time I'm in Midlothian Tx. I forgot to mention that they serve beverages of all kinds, they have an open bar. Family meal Fried pickles were good, everyone liked 4 stars for French toast with bananas and Nutella 2 stars for kids cheeseburger 4 stars for banana foster pancakes with eggs, sausage, and hash browns 4 stars for chicken Cobb salad - there were no blue cheese crumbles (she wanted, but she didn't ask for it), blue cheese dressing on the side was mild I ordered chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and fried okra. Fried okra was ok. Mashed potatoes were good, regular cream gravy and I added pepper. The steak was ok - a little chewy, and needed a knife to cut, and unfortunately my knife came with the handle touching the gravy :(. First time in today around lunch. I work near Midlo and always am looking for a new place to try. Ale's is just south of all the hustle and bustle but worth finding!! Really cool interior and good menu for all tastes. I like that they're open past 2 and looked like the hours said till 9 so a good stop any time of day. First time in I was really craving a burger and it was delicious! Crispy bacon, nice lightly toasted bun. Cant wait to bring family here for breakfast sometime. Service was very friendly, they were busy at the end of lunch rush so a bit slow getting started but I wasn't in a rush and was taking time to look over all the options. We've been looking to try this place for awhile. So glad we did. We came in for breakfast (served all day) and I got the French Connection- French toast with eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Tasted good but maybe next time I'll get the hash browns instead. We ordered the chorizo biscuits- those were good but 4 come on a plate and 1 is enough. Eat them while they're hot because once they get cool they aren't as tasty. We will definitely be coming back especially since they have an awesome drink menu that we will be trying soon. Goodness this place was hopping the Saturday before Father's Day. Our family of three sat at the counter/bar and we were in for a treat. Unlike other places where the bartenders served drinks and also food, the two gentlemen gave us their full attention while a million mimosas flowed. These guys hustled. I think the next time we go, we'll request counter seats. Drinks were great and good size. I had a Bloody Mary and a Michelada and both were excellent. We had the Chorizo Biscuits as a starter. Great breakfast spot. I ordered the french toast with hash browns, eggs and bacon and my husband ordered the bananas foster pancakes with sausage, eggs and grits with a side of their home style potatoes. The pancakes were amazing. I'm not a fan of cooked banana so I didn't try those but the cakes themselves were delicious. The grits were tasty and the home style potatoes are a must! The bacon is almost inedible it was so hard. I brought it home to give to my dog. I was excited when I saw the bacon because it was thick cut, but it's borderline jerky. The coffee was decent and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be coming here again. read more

Just moved to Midlothian 3 weeks ago and finally made it to Ale's. Went in around noon and got a table right away, even though they were pretty busy. We had the patty melt and Cobb salad. Place was packed on a Monday at 10am. I like eggs benedict, so had to try it. I prefer English muffin to biscuits, but it was tasty with fresh spinach and sprinkled feta cheese. With my husbands skillet breakfast, he said he would have liked more bacon and cheese, but overall it was good. They have a full bar, but didn't partake. Well we read the reviews which were awesome so decided to stop in for Sunday breakfast with our out of town guests. We arrived at about 0845 and were seated right away. Rachel was our server and she was very nice. We ordered coffee and one of us got tea (which was returned because of taste and being lukewarm). We visited for a bit then ordered breakfast. Disappointed for sure. Rachel brought out 3 of the meals. Hash browns were overdone and an order of white toast was brought out to go with the omelet that I ordered. Rachel came out and apologized that my omelet was being remade since the order was incorrect. Fifteen minutes later I had my omelet to go with my cold toast. Others were done eating by then. Overall not a good experience and meal so we will not return. We did not have time to wait and get things corrected as our guests had to continue on their trip. read more

Everything from chicken and waffles and chicken fried steak to bananas foster waffles. There is a full bar and the bloody Mary's are excellent. I am picky especially about my chicken fried steak, and this was tender enough to cut with a cake knife with just the right crispness of breading that clung to the meat rather than a hard shell that over cooked meat slides out of easily...seen more often than not at many establishments.
