I recently bought a used truck from Alexander GMC-- started working with Arvin initially and he was very professional and responsive in showing me vehicles that would interest me based on what I told him I was looking for. Even sent me a few texts of vehicles that might pique my interest and that's how I ended up scheduling to come in and check out the truck I bought. After Arvin let me test drive the vehicle, Carlos walked me through the purchase process from there mostly. Super friendly and nice family guy, and is 100% cut out for the customer service business in a great way. Makes you feel like family. Reza helped out with the nitty gritty detail-specific questions-- what a knowledgeable and confident guy-- really went the extra mile to show transparency when requested. I've owned 8 GM vehicles over the years. I first became a customer at this dealership in 2014 and have purchased 2 new trucks here since. This review is really a thafor the service department. Josue and team are doing a great job! I come in every few months for an oil change and tire rotation. I've also been in for few recalls/service bulletins. Josue is very professional, pays attention to detail, and communicates well on what's happening with the truck. I appreciate his excellent customer service and genuine interest in taking care of the truck. Having spent $80k on the truck, I'm super meticulous with it and happy they show the same care. I once took my last truck to another dealer near my work and it came back with a door ding and scratch. Lesson learned. read more

No sitting in the dealership for hours which is AWESOME. Not only do we feel we got a great deal, James personally DELIVERED the truck to us in Santa Barbara and took our trade in back. Came back to this dealership after purchasing the vehicle from here years ago. Used them a few times for repairs and knew I could come back and get good service. Truck had around 103k miles. I asked the service writer about a transmission service. The service writer stated the dealer declined to do the service because I did not perform the transmission service at 50k miles. Understandable if I indeed was late on the service. They did not want the liability of the transmission having problems after the service was done. However, I checked my GMC manufacturer service interval schedule. The service schedule for the transmission states the first service for the transmission is at 97,500 miles. Not 50,000 like the writer stated. So who is right in this situation. The service writer who states service must be performed 40,000 miles before the manufacturer states it should be serviced? Sounds like they sell services before they are due, and when you do not follow their made up service intervals, they do not want to help you. Overall, would not come to this dealer again. The service department should be helpful and stand by the manufacturer recommendations, not the service writers who think they are right no matter what. Would not recommend this dealer if I was asked for a recommendation. read more

My son just finished serving 4 years in the USMC and is expecting his first baby, with that being said we were pre-approved for a car loan so he can save a lil money on the interest rate, anything counts when your just starting out. I wasn't expecting a steal, just a fair price, but they completely low balled my trade-in and then tried to add on an additional $7k in fees to the cost of the vehicle - $5k of that was due to low inventory. Worst dealership EVER. First off this was a terrible car buying experience. The salesmen I dealt with had no knowledge of the products they sell. Which led to misinformation about the vehicle I purchased and then lame excuses to justify their lack of information. I have been a loyal GM customer for more than 20 years and I have never been treated so poorly. I spent 70,000 plus dollars on a vehicle and brought it in for service and they voided the warranty on my vehicle because of an after market part. I had not even finished the installation of the part and only had the wiring harness installed. The service writer and service manager were both laughing at me, they obviously didn't think I could see them through the glass, how professional is that? If my only recourse is to sue Alexander GMC to have the warranty block removed then that is what I'll do. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your vehicle. read more

Sadly my steering wheel volume control now does not work, and online searches indicate that the Body Control Module is to blame. After a weeks of calls between GM headquarters customer service rep "ozzy" and Alexander GM, I was first told by Alexander service manager that they can provide the proof of a bulletin that the Body Control Module will act funny upon programing it. I informed them of the new problem and asked for my original part back (as indicated on my form when I dropped off my car for service). A week went by and no call from Alexander to provide the bulletin or the part. GM headquarters called back and asked what was going on and I updated them on the new concern of our vehicle issue with the Body Control Module. I requested my full labor refunded as I was now going to have to have the vehicle checked out at another GM dealership to verify if the original part was replaced? Or if the new part was also faulty. After several more days and calls made between GM headquarters and Alexander, I was informed by GM headquarters that Alexander was refunding me my labor paid. Another week went by and I was contacted by Alexander to arrange a courier to pick up their parts, I informed them the courier can pick up the parts they left in my vehicle after I have the refund check. I was told they were waiting for an additional signature on the check and it will be mailed out to me. I was also asked by Alexander to remove my 1 star yelp review. I informed then I would update my yelp review with the facts of our outcome. Another week later I received my refund check. I made arrangements with Alexander to have their courier pick up the parts from my home. I was told they would arrive at 130pm on Friday. The courier arrived at 3pm to pick up new parts that were left in my vehicle. read more

I bought a Chevy Malibu 2020 from Team Nissan in January of 2023. We started having problems with the car which was the gauges were fluctuating and as I'm on the freeway the car would slow down and I couldn't go any faster. June 28th we went to Team Nissan but since it was a Chevy I had to take it to a Chevy dealership because of my extended warranty I purchased. I took it to Alexander in Oxnard on June 29th and got it back on July 10th. When I got the car back they stated to drive the vehicle and schedule further diagnosis. I took the car back on July 17th because the same problems were occurring. They said they replaced the transmission control module we picked our car up. Then on August 1st we had to take the car back because the same problem occurred and they had our car until Sept 8th and kept stating that they couldn't diagnose it because the check engine light wasn't on. They stated it could be the spark plugs so we took the car to get the spark plugs changed. Then a week later the same problem occurred I decided not to take my car back to Alexander's in Oxnard because they couldn't find the problem. I have it now at Santa Paula Bunnin they've only had it for two days and have found the problem. I feel like you need to train your service department on how to diagnose the vehicles that come into your shop. This has been a total nightmare. read more
