Its a reasonable stop, but nothing that stands out. They really should remove "craft beer" from their namings. They have a limited offering of high quality beer with little rotation. They ultimately have 3-4 local "ok" beers and the rest are big distribution. Food was ok. read more

the atmosphere at night is very dimly lit where you can't see anything even with a candle. i felt like thomas jefferson trying to find the QR code menu and my utensils. the night vibes is great! a lot of huddle and busses. things are always moving and there is a nice rustic cocktail vibe with christmas lights around the ceiling. it is very dim which i mentioned earlier but must emphasize so go earlier in the day and catch the nice happy hour. expresso martini, craft brews, and signature cocktails are all a hit. this place really knows their drinks. but that's it. they only know their drinks and i do not recommend the food it is not quality at all. just stick to their cocktails long enough so you don't care about ordering bumass $15 truffle fries drenched in oil. i got the cheeseboard to share which was mediocre and assembled as a 3rd grade science project. i'm not disappointed, i should know that there is a place for drinks and a place for food and this place is a place for drinks . the place gets really busy and the staff are always busy mingling with one another in the corner so expect a wait time to order. if you are around hell's kitchen and stumble into here, try out the cocktails or draft brews. all 10/10 read more

Where to begin?? I might have an addiction to truffle fries and Alfie's, by far, has the best in NYC. They were perfectly cooked and very well seasoned, crispy yet soft in the inside. They paired wonderfully with the large juicy turkey burger. The aioli for the burger was a great dipping sauce, so yummy! The artichoke dip and chips are a great appetizer to share with multiple friends and did not disappoint. It came with a crisp thick layer of delicious cheese baked on top. Their menu is rather impressive and makes everything sound delicious. It includes almost anything you could want in one restaurant. We all left full and very satisfied. Largely portioned servings and reasonably priced. Service was great from the beginning to the end of the experience. Additionally, the restaurant is very clean both indoors and outdoors. read more

This place is great for happy hour! I went with a friend for Friday after work drinks and was pleased at their happy hour offering- an old fashioned, a margarita, beers, and wine for under $10! This runs 12-7 weekdays, so you're not going to break the bank. Their food is nice too! We got the tuna appetizer and some fries, which were both perfect. Service is wonderful as well. We regularly had someone asking if we would like another beverage or some more water. The interior is really cute and the decor is very springy. They had a big open front of the restaurant so even if you were inside there was lots of air circulation. Staff wore masks, there was sanitizer at every table and the tables were spaced out to avoid crowding. I'd definitely recommend this place for drinks, brunch or any kind of festive outing! read more

This seems like a decent place to grab food and adult beverages. Alfie's totally has a neighborhood bar/local watering hole vibe to it. I have walked past the place a million times, but this was my first time at the restaurant/bar. Probably many of the patrons are folks who either work or live nearby. I was a little disappointed with a couple of my cocktails, so I would recommend that you stick to the basics - beer, spirits on the rocks (which I eventually started to drink), or wine. Unfortunately, my martini was not up to par - way too much vermouth and olive juice. Also, the martini was served with an even number of olives. Aren't martinis supposed to be served with an odd number of olives (no biggie for me)? At least, Alfie's has a pretty good selection of beer . . . I cannot speak about the selection of wine. We came to Alfie's today for brunch. William, the manager was very professional and polite as we did not have reservations. Our server was Morgan and she was amazing. Our glasses were never empty. Their brunch menu is pretty expansive, with options ranging from your usual brunch items like eggs benny to lunch items like burgers. So def a good spot for a group with different tastes. Croque Madame: came with a small side of salad and home fries. The croque madame itself was HUGE and oozing out with a boatload if gruyere cheese. Personally, I wasn't able to finish it (my excuse is the Schmackery cookie I ate right before killed my appetite). Bf got the burger and with a side of fries (you can also opt for sweet potato fries). Unfortunately, was not able to steal a bite of burger but fries were pretty bomb. read more

This has been my go to corner bar since I have lived here. It is a great neighborhood bar with excellent cocktails, a good happy hour and very good bar food. The menu is unique to most standard bar fair. Music is a good mix of popular alternative mix covering the 90's- 2023. Service is friendly and William the manager is just excellent. overall this is my favorite spot in NYC to feel at home in the neighborhood without pretentious attitude amoung the staff and patrons, why ? It seems people that come here are just themselves. Turkey burger is the best Turkey burger i have ecver had, Pototao fries are crisp and cook through but not overcooked, salmon which is on and off teh menu is excellent and all other food on the menu is solid. I really like the food and vibe of this place, but their wait staff can be a bit careless with the bill and items. First, I know it's incredibly hard in the service industry now, and I'm not trying to say that folks here aren't kind and under stress. However, I've now had two instances where the staff messed up orders, or just didn't provide the relevant service. It's super important here to check your receipt before you leave and dispute in person if any item didn't come out. I tried to correct an order issue (and even under priced it) in a credit card dispute for a Beet and Goat Cheese dish that was never served. The note from the store owner accused me of trying to take the $16 tip back for the $17 dish that wasn't delivered, and said I was trying to get something for free... On a big group bill it was easy to miss until I did the itemization at home. Great spot, but they're a bit relaxed and hostile if you try to get a fair outcome due to missing dishes, or drinks that don't come. It's a shame. I really like the food, and maybe I've just had bad luck. read more

Came here in the summer for cocktails and their truffle fries. It was really relaxing to sit outside, people watch and have good food. Because I had such a great experience the first time, I really wanted to go back for their truffle fries. On a Sunday evening, I ordered the lamb burger ($17) and truffle fries to go. This was a mistake. The lamb burger was not flavorful and the truffle fries were soft and soggy. They were able to switch out the normal fries and give me truffle fries for an extra $2. I recommend going to the restaurant instead of getting take out. read more

Great experience dining outside in the late summer skies. Lots of clear partitions, BBQ short ribs on fluffy buns was kinda filling in and of itself as a meal. Burrata was layered on a savory sweet tomato sauce that naturally paired with some crusty sourdough. A summer special features a scallop salad with avocado and vinegrette. Scallops look few in relation to the big plate but we're quite large plump and fresh. Truffle fries were fun. Obviously not real truffles but had the scent and parmesan going on. Solid place for a good quick brunch! Located in Hell's Kitchen. We walked in well ahead of our brunch reservation and were seated quickly. The place is super casual, definitely a bar feel, as it is a real bar, with typical NYC brick walls and woods, but suprisingly bright and with an open feel inside. it was a beautiful day in the city, so doors and window were open which gave it a wonderful al fresco feel. Service was friendly and quick all around. Craft beer menu on tap was decent, they were out of the the west coast IPA i wanted to try (I forget the name, but from Montauk NY), so I had the sloop juice (unfiltered) ipa which was ok. cocktail menu looked awesome.
