The sweet and spicy/chili wings here are good; hot, crispy and well coated. Def recommend. The pizza on the other hand is not bad but okay. This is by far one of, if not the best pizzeria in Westchester County. They serve a wide variety of items including one of the best chef salads you could ever wish for. As a Doc at St Joe's around the corner, I discovered Alfonso's and became a regular there. Dad and 2 sons run the place and they do a stellar job. I'm in my 60s and have had lots of pizza. This reminds me of the pizza I grew up eating in Jackson Heights. These guys work hard and run a clean shop. A regular slice with extra cheese will keep you satisfied for the better part of a day. Have 2 and you might regret it. The eggplant parm sub is to die for and pretty much whatever you get there is excellent ++. Decent pizza, but horrible service. I order half extra cheese half regular pie and they took over an hour to deliver. When it actually arrives, most of the cheese is completely off of the pie. I call to report the half destroyed pie they sent the delivery guy to come get the pizza before even bringing a replacement pie. They took the ruined pie back to the and then delivered a new pie. So this place has been around for quite a while, yet I only found it recently. They deliver to my building, to my door! Honestly, that makes me quite happy. I've had a few things from here so far. The buffalo wings are probably the best delivery wings I've ever had. I'm not saying the best ever, but the best delivery ones. The are cooked up nice and crispy, with a good sauce on the side. They remind me of bar wings. The chicken, bacon, ranch pie is amazing. I'm normally a 3 slice guy, but this is way filling at 2. Good amount of topping and the taste is wonderful. I had ordered it on a lark and ended up having dinner for 2 extra days. The heroes (wedges, subs, hoagies.....whatever) are also really good. They have a pretty good cheesesteak and the meatball is amazing. The dinners are also quite good. I had a really good lasagna a few weeks ago. I grew up in the same block as Alfonso's Pizza, so I was a regular here for 20+ years. Really good pizza...thick, beautiful crusts, excellent quality cheese and a nice tomatoe-y sauce. Delicious (and huge) calzones and huge entree dishes. Service is fast too! Only complaint about the place is the dodgy location and the fact that there are always some droopy-pants douchenozzles hangin' around the restaurant. Not only you basically have to step above them to get into the place, but they often start their fair share of trouble. My family has since left Yonkers, but we still have fond memories of Alfonso's. My mother even tries to come back for a slice or two whenever she is visiting. Four stars. The food is excellent, even if the 'hood sucks. read more

I was pleasantly surprised. The extra large was definitely extra large, and it was fresh & hot upon delivery. My only gripe is the price - it was too high for my liking, hence the 4-star rating. I would order from here religiously but the prices seem to have sky rocketed. The burgers can be good but they're pretty pricey depending on what fries you get. The pizza is also good. I'm assuming the original owner has passed down the pizza shop to someone else, my father and the original owner were long time friends, friends not by the restaurant or because my father would buy his pizza, but actual friends that knew each other for years, they had also worked side by side together, I hadn't gone to an actual pizza shop in years, it's been dominoes and little caesars this whole time, I was starting to get sick of the processed pizzas so I decided to go back to my regular spot, I always got my pizza from Alfonsos all the time, 1 I felt discriminated against and 2 the pizza just didn't taste the same and 3 the new owner barely put any toppings on it....for $4 per topping I would assume that he would have the decency of putting a good amount of toppings on it but no, it's like he threw 2 pinches of toppings on my pie....this was my first time bringing home an Alfonsos pie to my girlfriend in years and even she said she didn't like it anymore neither, and once I told her what happened at the store she thought that the place was no longer a respectful establishment, as did I, because when I ordered my pie, I wasn't allowed to Just place my order and wait, I was forced to pay upfront first as if I was some type of goon or trouble maker, at first i thought nothing of it, so I paid, but when I saw a bunch of Italians go in to order wings, slices, pies or other things, not one of them had to pay upfront, they got to place their order, sit down, wait, get their food and then pay, so that's when I finally understood that this was done to me because I was the only person of color, this has never happened to me in any other pizza shop, this didn't ever happen to me with the original owner, and I can't begin to describe how this made me feel, I felt so belittled....anyways...i regretted coming back...now i know better and I am never returning here again read more

Customer service is everything. I loved this place because they had amazing potato skins. Key word is loved. I ordered a extra large pie that was half pepperoni and bacon and half plain. What I got was a large pie that was half bacon and half pepperoni. I wasn't the first to see the pizza. The kids saw it first. And they just dug in because they were hungry. When I looked at the pie it was wrong so I called and complained. When I called the guy said he could exchange the pizza and I told him that they already started eating it. He then proceeded to scold me and argue with me that I shouldn't have eaten it if it was wrong. He didn't care what I had to say. He said all he would do for me was refund me $1.25 for the topping. But really, half the people not getting to eat because they don't eat meat is worth $1.25. He shouldn't have given me attitude for their mistake. He just lost a bunch of following and I suggest you guy do the same. It isn't worth it. Other places have better food with better customer service. Oh and DO NOT order the cheesecake. Hands down THE BEST WINGS I've had delivered. If you like crispy, well-cooked wings with delicious sauce on the side to dip your wings in so they don't get soggy - this is the place. The restaurant is ok my fries were cold and not how I ordered them. The cheeseburger was good though. The only thing that sucks is the delivery charges and tax. They charged me $18 along with a small salad that I was expecting to look better. I would say this food was worth $12 and delivery should've been free because I was less than a mile away.
