Brunch with my family at Alfredo's. After trying his food truck, we came back to try the Cafe and I think we found a new family favorite brunch spot! When trying a new menu, we look for classics and then order a few entrées and share. We ordered an eggs benedict, Chilaquiles combo added eggs and a Torta Niño pobre, and my son had their Mickey mouse pancake and added bacon. My son had their abuelita's hot chocolate. I had their plain coffee and that was okay. I just wish it was hot. I was told by our waitress that their Torta niño pobre used to be on their menu, but we ordered it as a special. I'll call ahead for this one, it was too good! The bread was toasted just right and all the flavors and their smokey salsa served with it was the perfect accompaniment. Please serve this torta everyday! The Chilaquiles was still crunchy. I wish their salsa verde had a little kick. I always steal a bite of pancakes from my little. They were delicious and his bacon was perfect. It's a smaller dining room with booths and tables. Everything seemed clean and I loved that the vibe was warm and inviting. We look forward to returning in the near future.

I've had my eye on Alfredo's since moving back a year ago--everyone kept talking about their breakfast burritos, and now I totally get the hype. It was busy for a Sunday morning (always a good sign), and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. My boyfriend ordered the Torta Nina Pobre and I went for the Machaca breakfast burrito. That torta? Packed with flavor. And my burrito was just as delicious. Next time, I'm definitely trying the chorizo burrito--the chorizo in that torta was chef's kiss. And as a sweet little bonus, they gave me a free Frappuccino just because they had extra from another order. Love that kind of hospitality.

This place is so good! My husband and I took my Mom here while she was in town. Service was great the food took a little long and came out in weird times but nonetheless, still delicious! It's nice and updated inside and they an outdoor seating area as well! Definitely excited to have finally found a decent place to eat breakfast out in the Valley's. Go check it out!

Got introduced to this place by the husband. I was kinda iffy because it was in Sun Valley. It looked unassuming from the outside and had ample parking space. I was pleasantly surprised that the interior is spacious and very clean, modern looking and well lit. It even has patio dining in the back. We were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess and immediately greeted by a really nice and friendly server. We were there for breakfast and husband ordered a Denver omelet with a side of pancake. I ordered the carne asada from the lunch menu and noticed that they offered a Guava Mimosa. Ok, that's unusual, and since I love mimosas, I decided to give it a try. Well, I was sure glad I did. It was delicious! Never thought guava juice would go well with champagne. When the food came out, the portions were definitely generous. My carne asada was really big, that it was cut into 3 portions-sized pieces. It was seasoned nicely without being too salty. The rice was a little bland, could have used a little bit more seasoning. The husband's omelette was also nicely plated with home fries which he polished off. We most definitely be back.

This is not fast food this is food cooked with love, there might be a little bit of a wait but if you happen to catch them when they are open stop by for a bite or some fresh juice.. their smoothies are delicious too! Best breakfast in the valley if you're gonna spend the money at Hobby's Cafe might as well try this place out. It's worth it!

***Don't sleep on Alfredo's Cafe: (their food truck after hours is pretty good too!)*** -Food review: Mocha: 5/5 Chilaquiles Combo w/eggs 5/5 First tastebud adventure of 2025 is what the kids call, a BANGER!!! Stopped by Alfredo's for a little food therapy and this Brekkie definitely fired on all cylinders. From a foamy, rich, decadent mocha, giving you enough sweetness, to coffee, you are texturally pleased by a drink that alone, would be delicious on a cold winter night, or pair amazingly with most desserts, or in this case, my meal. The layer of foam doesn't over take the drink as it's a very misleading cup... it was filled to the brim with deliciousness to get you ready for the savory goodness you'll enjoy. Karla, my waitress recommended a list of options from their menu, but said her favorite was the chilaquiles, but with red instead of green... so, as we are looking to find what Alfredo's is made of, we took the recommendation. Let me tell you.... It was pleasing in many elements. Savory, and rich from the eggy yolk infusing with the red sauce, fresh from the queso fresco and micro greens/pico that pair perfectly with the thin onions that sit on top of the chilaquiles, enough of a neutral blend form the beans, and you marry all that up to a carne asada that has Flavored of spices, slight heat, char from the grill, and tender enough to be cut with a fork... the flavor was consistent and not over powering, it was spicy to the tongue, but would be a level of spice that I would call pleasing to the tongue. It was a filling plate too! Definitely an experience I'll be introducing to other family members and friends. -Venue review: Intimate Hole in the wall 5/5 I was surprised... there wasn't anyone else in the building so it made me sad seeing such craft not being appreciated by others. It made for a nice quiet meal, which I haven't had in a while, it definitely let me appreciate the experience but I will say; conveniently on Sun Valley blvd, there's a lot to offer from this establishment. -Service review: Perfect recommendations and waitress service: 5/5 Karla did amazing, from her recommendations, I always had her asking the right questions, and she checked in on me to make sure that I had everything I needed. The cook brought out the food; and it was just exactly what I'd expect a family owned business experience to look like. It felt very warm and welcoming.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Sun Valley. Interior is very clean, bright and decorated so cute. Karla gave us the best service! We started with one of the bloody Mary's and some fresh squeezed orange juice. The orange juice was amazing and the Bloody Mary was good, but my second cocktail (michelada) was amazing! Made perfectly and so refreshing. Perfect start to my weekend! For entrees we had biscuits and gravy and verde chilaquiles. Portions are large here which is good because the food is so great you want to just keep eating! Great dining experience and worth the short drive to Sun Valley!

Stopped at Alfredo's while driving through the city, and it was just fine! LOVED the prices on the drinks, $4 for a mimosa! Food was tasty, however you can find more authentic Mexican food out there. This is a fun spot, with an extensive menu. Servers were friendly, and service was good. This place was just fine for a quick bite.

We dine here as frequently as possible because this place is incredible. I always order the birria tacos since they are absolutely delicious! My family has tried various other dishes, and they've never let us down. Really great atmosphere! The prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent too!

So glad we finally tried this place!…read more Some friends of ours tried this place a few years ago, but honestly, I had never even heard of it until I recently saw a review pop up. I told my husband, "We've got to try this place!" We were going to be downtown anyway, walking along the river, so it seemed like the perfect time. I'm so glad we did! I have to say, this place is definitely hipster--and I mean that in the best possible way! It has such a cool, unique vibe. There are diner-style seats with limited space right up along the bar, outdoor seating, and even a bus that has been turned into dining space. The bus was super cute and quaint inside. Today was absolutely perfect for sitting outside, so we took advantage of the beautiful weather. Our waitress, Nicole, was absolutely adorable! She was friendly, welcoming, and made our experience even better. There was another gentleman helping serve us as well, and unfortunately I didn't catch his name, but he was also super nice and attentive. Now for the food! I ordered the Pastrami Pile Up, and boy, they weren't kidding--it was PILEDDD UP! There was a generous amount of really good pastrami, along with a 1/3 pound burger. The pastrami was delicious. For me, the burger could have used just a little more seasoning and I had asked for medium-well, but it came out more medium. I didn't want to complain, though, and overall it was still good. The tater tots were fantastic! They came out hot, crispy and perfectly cooked. Definitely the kind of tots you keep eating even when you know you've already had enough. My husband ordered the Nevadan Burger with Swiss cheese, and he said it was really good. He also got the fries, which were hot and very tasty. There was so much food that we ended up taking some of the fries and our burgers home to enjoy tomorrow. And then there were the Parmesan garlic wings. My husband said they were absolutely delicious and had just the right little bite to them. I'm not really a wings person, so I didn't try much, but he was definitely impressed! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and are so happy we finally gave this place a try. Between the fun atmosphere, unique seating options, friendly service and generous portions, there's definitely a lot to come back for. Next time, I think we're going to try something completely different--and I already have my eye on the fried Oreos with ice cream! So glad that random review popped up and convinced us to give this place a try. Sometimes you just have to follow the recommendation and go!

For starters, the food is decent…read more With that said, if you advertise Happy Hour prices, they should be honored. I went specifically for the Happy Hour wings, and when I received the check, the price didn't reflect the amount stated on the menu. I asked to speak with the owner, and instead of correcting it, she told me she gave me a quarter off and, with a smug smile, said, "Thank you very much." Sorry, lady, but your food isn't that great for you to be so confidently rude. In addition, this was my second visit this week. I only returned because my sister loves chicken wings, and because of the advertised "Happy Hour" price, I decided to give them another try. We also ordered a plain burger to go with just cheese, and when I got home, it was loaded with all the fixings, including sauce. I called several times to have the issue addressed, but no one answered. When I told the servers about the situation during this visit, instead of trying to make it right, they gave me a half-hearted apology. So yes, the food might be diner decent, but the owner's attitude and the poor service make the entire experience worse. I've worked in customer service for over 30 years, and not once have I treated a paying customer the way I was just treated. And if they want to respond to this review to justify their shitty service, great. Go for it. I was polite the entire time. All I asked was to be heard, for their advertised pricing to be honored, and for some basic appreciation for my business by simply making things right. Instead, the owner insultingly put two quarters on the table, as if 50 cents somehow made up for the $8-$9 difference we were being overcharged. It didn't. If anything, it made an already frustrating situation feel even more dismissive. And it really was an easy fix. If they couldn't adjust the Happy Hour pricing for whatever reason, she could have easily taken the $18 pastrami sandwich off the bill to make up for both the pricing discrepancy and the incorrect order we received during our previous visit just two days earlier. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was asking for an owner to recognize that her restaurant had made mistakes on two separate visits and make a genuine effort to correct them. In a city full of burger options, she had an opportunity to turn a negative experience into a positive one and potentially make lasting customers out of my family and me. Instead, she chose to be dismissive, smug, and rude over something that could have been resolved in a matter of minutes. That tells me everything I need to know about how she values her customers.

I had a craving for a smash burger (like Nola Sliders) and this was one of the few places open at the time. I didn't have a bad experience, it just wasn't what I hoped for. While the burger tasted fine, it was not a smash burger. I'm not sure if they used the wrong meat, but the burger patties did not have the thin, crispy, seasoned edges that you would expect. It was more along the lines of frozen burger patties that you get from Costco. While those make a great option for the cookout, it doesn't quite work for smash-style patties. The saving grace was that the fries were super crispy! The staff are friendly and the lobby is simply 4 chairs and 2 small tables to wait for your order. The ambiance doesn't really have an inviting vibe. The menu seems a bit jumbled - almost like they aim to be a jack of all trades but a master of none. It wasn't the slowest service, although, I would hate to see what would happen if they had 10 orders in the kitchen at the same time. I would advise giving this place a shot when you have some time to kill.

My husband went with the bison, barbecue burger, and a side of fries, and I had the original burger with my choice of cheeses. Everything was prepared and served hot and fresh! We were offered ranch to go with our fries. I had a house made thousands island type sauce (but way better) to go on my cheeseburger. It was delicious. (Their Classic in my photo is probably their least impressive looking burger.) I ordered medium rare like always at a high-quality joint but I accidentally got someone's medium-well, and after tasting both, I actually preferred the the medium-well as the grind on the rare part of the medium-rare was a little mushier than I'm used to. Probably because most places you order a medium-rare you actually get a medium. Not here. I'd go medium on a return visit. I like they don't overseason the burger with too much salt like a lot of other places. Eaters with palates desensitized to salt due to a lot of fast food/burger eating may find the need to add salt to satisfy their salt craving. The burger sauce is also served on the side and is a bit milder, and more homemade tasting compared to your average burger sauces. This is great because the meat is so good you really don't want to overshadow it with salty seasoning and overpowering sauces. If you're going to dump a bunch of salt and sauce on it, just go to In-n-Out. They also have sandwiches, tenders and chili. If you think about it, a butcher shop deciding to serve cooked food is taking a risk. If the food isn't that great it can affect their meat business. The shop atmosphere is very upscale with high prices to match it like the rest of Rancharra Village. Very limited indoor bar dining and some tables outside. Not sure if the really high prices for the meats and seafoods in the case are worth it, but the saying "you get what you pay for" at least applies to the burgers here. My only suggestion is take a sharpie and scribble the cook temp (medium, medium-rare, etc) on the paper in the burger basket so groups don't get their burgers mixed up. They verbally pointed it out but it's easy to forget by the time you get back to your table with 3, 4, or 6 burgers. Fry basket is a great value, easily enough for 2 people and probably some of the best thick cut fries I've ever tasted with sort of a very light seasoned crispy panko outer texture to them. Updated Reno Burger Rankings primarily on quality/taste but also value is factored in but to a lesser degree: #1 Armandos #2 Royce #3 Beefy's tied with The Parlor #4 Archies Giant #5 Juicy's
