I'll be honest. Went to Ali's because he was just down the street from my house and open on a Sunday. Boy I'm glad I did. Very quick, honest, and reasonably priced. Knocked out an oil change in under 30 and threw in a quick inspection. I also told Ali I was due for a smog inspection and he ran codes (at no additional charge) to make sure I was good to go. Taught me about drive cycles so I could pass the inspection first time. All that to say, Ali went above and beyond what I was expecting. Will definitely be going back to him for all my auto repair needs. I'd recommend you do as well! read more

But along with that, attention to customer has been reduced little bit. I would say around 10-20 %. Earlier Ali used to explain me what is the problem in car, what it happens, what to do to take care to avoid it in future. Now, he is busy man with extensive experience and knowledge. Very HONEST. I've been coming here for over 5 years for my Honda Accord and Ali has done an excellent job of taking care of my car. Their prices are really good and they're honest about what they quote you. I was quoted twice by my older mechanic (John's Bascom) for fixing the ignition on my Accord but Ali fixed it for half the price and fixed my power window too. If you are looking for a reasonable and top service, this is the place. I went here to check my Honda Accord brake pads. When I ask them about basic dignosis charged the owner replied "Don't worry, that's free", they'll let me know the estimate after sometime and if I am want them to continue they'll fix it(for same dignosis, Hondo asked me for $160). Finally the did fixed the issue and they charge me 1/3th of what Honda could have charged me. It's been 3weeks and my car is doing great. I highly recommend this place. read more

I got new brakes pad installed with Ali. After which there was a weird sound coming every time I apply brakes. I told the car back to Ali. He drove around and said everything is fine and the sound is normal. 3 months down the line, it escalated. I can feel vibrations when I apply brakes. I took it to the showroom and they tell me the brake pads were not properly installed which caused the issue. Now I have to get both new Brake Pads and Rotors installed. More than the expenses I had to incurred, I am not happy with Ali that I took it back to him, he drove around and said that the brakes were fine. Very dishonest!!! read more

The worst experience ever. My car was trembling and brought to Ali as my previous owner recommended me. Nothing happened but got a charge of 288 dollars just for the sake of keeping the vehicle. When took the car from his place, my coolant light started blinking which he ignored and said will be resolved when i drive it which didn't. Removed check engine light and broke my coolant which is still beeping and quite annoying to drive. Cheap but would not recommend anyone. read more

I took my Camry here last year, as it was leaking coolant rapidly. Sure enough, the water pump needed replacing. I have been to many mechanics over the years. Some of them quoted me at such an outrageous price, I have asked for my car back immediately. Ali is an honest man and does solid work. Like other reviewers, Ali took care of my car not only by charging below market but also standing by his shop's work. I took my car in when it threw a CEL, and it was exactly what I suspected but was hoping it wasn't: my valves on my turbo Subaru were burnt and I needed a valve job. I also had an exhaust leak. Both of these issues had cropped up about 14-16 months prior with my last mechanic in Colorado, but now that I am here in the south bay I needed a new mechanic. Ali's shop not only fixed the issue, but he also fixed what they believed caused the issue: my timing belt tensioner had not been replaced with the timing belt. A couple days later, even though the car was running much more smoothly, the car threw another CEL with the same code. Ali and his shop spent all day fixing and diagnosing the car despite other customers were waiting. His guys went above and beyond the scope of the original repair, and he never asked me for a dime. I even asked "Isn't that more than what you originally performed? Shouldn't I be paying for a little of this?" he told me no, as if I were insulting him. I still have what I believe is a minor exhaust leak, but I feel confident that I will be taken care of at a very reasonable price. The only negatives that I can think of: he's extremely busy because the locals know he's both good and cheap, so expect to wait to be seen and to have to call him to get a status update. If he doesn't answer the phone, his voicemail had been full at times. For a big job, your car might take an extra day or two to get repaired versus an expensive shop with fewer customers, but for the price of a cheap rental car a day versus hundreds of dollars towards an expensive mechanic, I'd wait any time. These little things aren't worth dinging him for because the customer service, pricing, honesty and dedication all make up for it and then some. I'll be going back for all my auto needs. I am writing a review for the first time in my life, because I came across a great mechanic for the first time. My 2003 toyota corolla had a problem on the driver side window glass holder got broke and the glass went down and it got stuck inside the door. I had visited many repair shops in the bay area, but no mechanic is ready to open and see and everyone wants to replace the motor and the regulator and gave me the estimate for $300-400 bucks. One of my friend recommended Ali, he was the first mechanic opened the door panel and diagnosed the right problem and replaced the right part and charged me for 1/4th of whats other name sake mechanics estimated. I have been going to Ali for many years. He is one of the best mechanics in the area: He can take one look at my car and tell me exactly what needs fixing. Then, he will fix it for half the price of any other shop. He is very honest. He does not over charge or up sell. He also does not accept money until the job is done completely, and you can trust it will be a job well done. I had a 1999 Toyota Avalon that I took to Ali for all the services and stuff, and it got to 200k miles without EVER throwing a check engine light or having any issue at all.
