Cozy and comfortable little spot with good coffee and food. We came a couple of times. Had the breakfast burrito and the pastrami sandwich. Both very tasty. They also have an array of pastries and other sweets. Friendly and efficient service. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
Largest drink was 16oz. Decent prices and very creative and tasty drink options like "Coff-tails". Love the ambiance of this place, limited seating offered inside and outside. It was like a coffee bar which was really cool, they even have cold brew on tap! The server was very kind in helping us understand the menu and the drinks came out so quick!
I'm a big fan of coffee, so it was hard for me to believe I've never been here. I've had their coffee elsewhere over the years, but this cafe is a popular and nice one. It's at Ward Village so it's a convenient place to stop if you're shopping in the area. There's plenty of free parking. Outside they have a bunch of sidewalk tables; inside more including a larger one for a group. They have a full menu of coffees and smoothies, plus food for breakfast and lunch. Prices are reasonable for the area. The pastries disappear fast, so getting there early is necessary if that's what you're going for. The staff was very friendly and fast with orders. There was a constant stream of happy customers too. If you're a coffee fan, this one is worth visiting.
I came here to study and use my computer, and I wasn't just taking up space without buying anything. I ordered a sandwich that cost nearly $20, but I had barely settled in and hadn't even had a chance to use the Wi-Fi. When I asked a staff member if they had ketchup or Tabasco, An old lady said she didn't and went to the back to get Sriracha. she stayed back there for quite a while, and as soon as she returned, the Wi-Fi stopped working on my computer. The timing was extremely suspicious. It felt as though the Wi-Fi may have been intentionally disconnected because she saw me come in with my computer and assumed I would stay there to use it. When I raised the issue, she insisted that nothing was wrong, even though the internet clearly wasn't working on my computer. I was a paying customer and did not deserve to be treated this way. This was a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience.
Clean, spacious, strong, and delicious! Had their ube latte, recommended to me hot. The flavor was strong, milk wasn't too hot, and art with gorgeous. Quick service. Detailed menus previews to explain their drinks creative names. Outdoor seating available!
We stopped here just be chance early morning on a weekday and had a wonderful small little breakfast. We both had already had coffee, so we came here for a small bite to eat, which is kind of funny considering it's a coffee place. I got an acai bowl and my wife got a cinnamon toast thing. Both were really good and totally hit the spot. The cinnamon toast was somehow dry and delicious and perfect. It was like a crunch toast, that was dry and tender at the same time. The acai bowl was nice and thick, it didn't taste icy. I like my acai bowls like this. We're definitely going to come back here and next time we'll order coffee as well. The inside was nice and comfortable, there was another person there who had a cute dog that looked like a corgi/chihuahua mix, it added to the charm of the place!
Love the new location in Ala Moana Center by the Food Court. Great vibe, excellent food and super good coffee. Owners are really cool too. Love this place
The Iced Pistachio Matcha is a dream! Smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced between the earthy matcha and nutty pistachio flavor. Not too sweet, very refreshing, and beautifully presented. Definitely a must-try!
Let's start off with service. The ladies working the counter were super friendly. It was my first time here and asked for her opinion. She suggested either the queen or the prince. Super nice. Coffee: "The Prince" which has hints of caramel and sea salt. Super good. You can really taste the sea salt and caramel. I got it iced and large. Will be drinking this the whole way back to the hotel. Ambiance: Great music and has outlets next to every seat, for those needing to charge their devices. Also pet friendly as I seen a lot of people coming in to get their coffee while walking their dogs.
I love the banana coffee at Ali'i! the banana milk float is my favorite--it's a cold brew with a banana cold foam. 10/10!!!
This is probably my favorite coffee spot. Not too many tables to make it feel over hyped or crowded and not too small where you can't stick around. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. Their social media is enticing and makes you want to go. Whoever is behind their social media deserves a raise. My favorite drink to get is the pistachio matcha - it's perfectly crafted in my opinion. I haven't really gotten around to trying their food but I'm sure it's great because all their coffee choices are! I often order their banana chocolate chip bread which is super good, especially when heated.
Very cute coffee shop with festive decorations and beautiful mural. The staff were welcoming and friendly when we asked about the menu. They have a variety of coffee, food, tea, and Dave's even ice cream. We ordered the Lomi Salmon Bagel, Masala Chai, and Island Breakfast Tea. The Lomi Salmon Bagel was pretty good and I liked the smoked salmon. I recommend the Masala Chai if you like black tea!
When it comes to convenient cafes in Hotels, for some reason, I get skeptical of the quality, as sometimes, convenient cafes within proximity aren't always the best. However, Ali'i Coffee was the total opposite and SO yummy. I loved the variety of different cafe drinks they had. Whether you are into strong, bold cold brews, sweet iced lattes, or a classic hot brewed coffee, they have it here with local flavors and brews. They also have a variety of food options to choose from. I wish I had tried them! The staff here are friendly and approachable!\ The ambiance here is a vibe, and I loved the R&B music they were playing as well. It is a well-cleaned cafe as well.
Pretty wall murals and seating area with outlets. Love the iced queen and iced mocha. Taro ube latte is popular, but it's on the sweeter side so maybe can ask them to reduce the sweetness. They also have sandwiches, select pastries, and chia seed pudding. Awesome coffee shop located at Ward Centre facing Auahi St near the bus stop. Free parking at Ward Centre. Open 7am-3pm. read more

Make this a must while in Waikiki - great place to grab coffee and a bite to eat for either breakfast or lunch. Location was walkable from most hotels - seating was meh, but it's not really meant for dine-in so you're kinda using the hotel lobby. Regardless - yum! read more

I was skeptical about trying the advertised "pumpkin pie latte" as I don't typically enjoy the PSL at other shops. The gals behind the counter assured me that it was different than other spots and would taste like a piece of pie. And boy were they correct! The cherry on top was when the gal said that if I didn't like it she would make me something else. Also tried the avocado toast which is more than avocado on a piece of toast. It was loaded with flavor (which is crucial bc it does cost $12)! read more

Since it's Winter Break, I've been on a mission to try different places. So today I ended up here. I got the Ube latte with an extra double shot and coconut milk, along with an avocado toast. Wait time was not too bad. Had like 3 people waiting beforehand, but I love how food was made right as you ordered, & you can see it being made. The toast was a good size. Not too small & the avo was a whole half. I love the portions they've used. & I must add, it tasted YUM!!! The latte too, was delicious. I like how it's not too sweet or too ube-y if that makes sense??? But it was good. I would def come back here!!! read more
Been meaning to check this place out. I always pass by this and see it crowded. Ordering process was quick and service was good. As for the drinks, it was decent..nothing unusual or outstanding to me. I like the location and how conveniently located it is. Maybe if they have more local Hawaiian drinks -things you couldn't get at like a Starbucks, it would attract more ?? read more
I'm back again! Did I say that I'm a huge fan of Ali'i Coffee! I stopped in today for a meeting with a colleague! ATMOSPHERE There is something different about this place. Maybe the energy that it has but it's so welcoming all around. You'll find that this is a perfect spot for just grabbing good coffee, a meeting or just some downtime. Love that each table has a convenient plug in to charge your cell phone or your computer. This is great cause you'll find yourself there for hours! SERVICE Great customer service. They offer quick service with minimum wait time. The team behind the counter is always ready to serve. FOOD Today, I ordered the pastrami sandwich along with my favorite prince drink! Typically I can only finish half of my sandwich but today I ate everything! Yes, it was that good. The bread to the pastrami was fresh. Overall, if you haven't been to Ali'i Coffee you're missing out! Take some time to check them out as you won't be disappointed! read more

Stopped by a quick coffee and breakfast just in the neighborhood, and this place hit the spot. I normally just drink iced coffee or cold brew, but their lattes sounded intriguing. So I tried the taro ube latte and it was delicious and not overwhelmingly sweet. Also got avocado toast, which was really delicious with the cheese and pickled red onion. Only con is that it's kind of freezing inside, so I suggest a long sleeve if you are to enjoy food and drinks inside. I got to see come cute dogs while dining inside and will be back to get some work done or to try some delicious coffee. read more

What a cute coffee shop! I got the ube mochi waffles (amazinggggg) and an ube latte. Both were absolutely delicious!! It's pretty crowded so expect to wait a little but it was worth it in my opinion! There's some indoor and outdoor seating but it does get crowded on the weekend!! read more
Greenery and woodsy with a splash of beachy. Decor that is very fitting for a Hawaii coffee shop! Been eyeing this cafe since setting my sights on their ube drink on the net. Visited on a Sunday morning, and there was barely a wait. However, the tables were all pretty much full, as space is limited. Knew what I came and flocked for, but as first timers, we were otherwise clueless about the rest of the menu. Wish the cashier gave me her recommendations, or bare minimum, an overview of the options. But she just oddly opted to stare at me instead. Awkward! Iced taro ube latte, added a hot taro ube latte as well, along with the banana milk float. Each were overall delicious. And loved how our hot drink arrived with a cute little latte art. The banana milk float has more of a bold flavor but the banana beautifully complemented the cold brew. The real winner was the iced taro ube latte. Smooth subtle creamy ube paired perfectly with espresso! read more
The cashier was very nice. She asked me if I wanted to sign up for their rewards and helped me with the process. I ordered their well-known Taro Ube Latte w/ soy. The drink itself was pretty strong but also had lots of flavor. The drinks are made quickly despite how busy they can get. I like that they have lots of outlets, and room to study, but the a/c is the cherry on top! The next time I come here I'm definitely gonna try their Almond Roca! read more

I love Ali'i coffee. Good coffee & great atmosphere. I always get The Queen from here. Although I think they could improve in their food menu hence the 1 star knockdown. But overall as a coffee shop, I would say it's a good place to be. read more

Best salmon bagel sandwich I've ever had. The fried garlic adds a nice touch and elevates the sandwich. Vegetables were fresh and the bagel toasted perfectly. Got the prince which I'll probably add an extra shot next time. Definitely be back! read more

GREAT UBE LATTE. It's just a little pricey but it's GOOOOD. I to kinda really sweet but that's perfect cause I got a sweet tooth. I also love how it's so purple. The service is great, just so friendly. I really appreciate the patience the workers have when I ask questions about the coffee. It's a very welcoming environment, all the staff are knowledgeable. read more
Heard a lot of good things from friends so came to check it out, and now I have a new favorite coffee spot in the Ward area! Coffee was excellent. My friend got the Queen latte with hazelnut and toasted coconut ($6.95) - said it was delicious and not too sweet, and I got the small cold brew ($4.75) which was great. Nice place to sit and have a chat - we sat for a long time just catching up and drinking our coffee and staff was very nice about it. The whole menu looks good - we'll try some of the pour overs or the nitro cold brew next time! read more

First time trying Alii Coffee. The flatbread tasted good but the avo turkey sando's sauce/dressing was really weird & unpleasant. I would go back for the flatbread but would not get the sandwich again. My little one also preferred the flatbread over the sando as he requested for more "pizza". read more

There's a new Ali'i Coffee Company in town! Right in Ward Village! This will really wake up Kakaako with all it's new development, luxury condominiums, HART Station, and the economy recovering slowly but surely. Had to grab a cup of Joe before heading out to the gym. Learned of thier opening when I last ate at Maile's Thai Bistro the other weekend because they're right next door to them. What a perfect stop as they are just near my neighborhood. There was lots of action this morning as I see it was there grand opening, media people, and I actually ran into 2 friends from work who are regulars at their Waikiki location. Love supporting local businesses and we all should these days! read more

A very modern vibe in a locally owned shop. All beans are roasted locally at their other location and light roasted to bring out the flavors. Their coff-tails are like mocktails but with cold brew and wonderful syrups. (I usually get the mint chip. Chocolate, mint, and cold brew ) Tons of seating with plenty of outlets, I definitely plan to come back and remote work from here. The windows make the space feel huge and give a lovely peek into the Ward area. They also have Nitro, a tea, and cold brew on tap. Takes me less than a minute or two to grab a drink and go. I've been to other Ali'i locations and was pleased to learn that this one had recently opened and was closer to me. The location is conveniently near Ala Moana within the Ward shopping center and accessible from the street. My experience here was similar - same menu with more space for seating inside. I tried the taro latte iced - so refreshing and so purple! This was definitely sweeter than I prefer my lattes but I liked the flavor. I also was given a large size when I ordered a small so that was a happy accident. Just be warned, this drink WILL stain your mouth purple so I'd recommend you order this only if you're not planning to be out and about after! read more
I was around the area and wanted coffee, so I decided to try Ali'i Coffee, for the first time. This location is easy to find. The parking structure is right behind it. I just got an iced caramel latte and Ali'i Waffle. I'm not sure if this is the size large iced latte because it's a 12oz to-go cup... anyway, the waffles were good; if I remember correctly , it's a mochi waffle, so it wasn't not dry at all. It also had taste, which isn't a common thing because we put syrup on it anyway. The taro (or ube) sauce had a starchy texture (not really a fan of.) Friendly and courteous staff! It took a little over 10 minutes for it because the staff said that they burned the first one. I didn't mind it at all, but she asked me if I wanted refund for waiting long which I respectfully declined. Overall a great experience. read more

I believe their other location on Oahu is downtown. Always heard good things about this place but getting downtown during their business hours was tough. I'm so happy they have this ward location. It's a small shop but was still able to find a table even though it was leak lunch time. It's clean inside, good air condition, and although a bit loud, a very nice coffee shop experience. I tried the Prince latte and really enjoyed it. Glad I got it half sweet because full pumps of the caramel syrup would be nuts. The avocado toast was delicious! I seriously thought it was whole wheat bread but oops it was sourdough which probably wasn't the smartest healthy decision that day but it was worth it because it was so so yummy! I enjoyed the toast very much. Prices are pretty typical for this kind of establishment these days and I would definitely return again and try their other drinks. My friend enjoyed her matcha latte and Turkey pesto sandwich. The chips the sandwich came with looked good too! I wonder if it's homemade. Give this place a try, you won't regret it. read more

I was checking out coffee shops near Ward and I decided to try Ali'i Coffee with their signature drink . YES! Indeed!! taste good as it looks! Full flavor, not too sweet, just the way I like it!!! Most of other places Latte tastes too sweet for me but Ali'i is different. Easy parking at ward village, FREE WIFI and there are also seats available outside. read more

I know my last review said I won't be back but I guess I wanna give them a try for the Ube Latte (since saw so many posts and rave about them). But my rating remains the same, but I was right about not coming back! I walked in and no one ahead of me, only the male worker acknowledged me and the two other female workers are busy making food and have their back turn to the cashier register. I look at the menu and ready to order, stand there not sure if I should interrupt them as they seem busy (I felt like they are understaff since only 3 employees, one is making coffee, one is making food and one is doing order/phone call.) but this can be a busy location. So I waited a bit before one of the female worker ready to take my order. Placed my order and wait a bit and funny thing is the cashier didn't even ask me for a name on the drink. (Which unusual to me because any coffee shop would ask for a name even you're a regular!) but they do have some regulars come in while I wait for my drink. On to the drink, since is a cloudy/rainy day, I wanted a hot latte. But I was sad when I saw the latte art (pic attached) is so different from others (probably you are an influencer or the barista feels happy and not so busy, they will take time to do a pretty latte art) I asked for less syrup and with low fat milk (other alternative milk choice is $1 charge). The latte itself does not have a strong coffee taste but more toward the sweet side and no strong ube taste either. I am pretty sure I won't be back as I tried both their food and latte. And service wise (to me), is not very welcoming. read more
