I would rate zero stars, if I could. They have change the quality of the meat on their fajitas and charge more for it. It was like eating the ass end of a cow, that was over cooked and tasted like beef jerky. Many customers have been complaining of quality but the owner has not changed it back. Ground beef nachos- cold, soggy, tasted like feet Cheese enchilada- dry, bland, no salt or seasoning Rice- over cooked, under seasoned Queso- bland, boring, no chili Salsa- bland, no heat, tasted of tomato and little else. Let me tell you... The food and service was very good. My waiter was on point. I did not have to wait for anyting. I was so hungry when going in there, I thought I could eat three courses easy. They are a tad pricey for each item....it was worth it. I ordered chicken and shrimp quesadillas as an appetizer. It was full of Chicken shrimp and cheese. With all the goodies on the side. I only made it halfway through the appetizer before I was stuffed. And the flavor was so fresh and amazing. As a foodie myself, that is important to me more than the price. I would recommend anybody wanting some good Mexican food that gives you a good amount for your money to head over to Alicia's Mexican Grill. Food is great and the service is wonderful!! Food was good but our waiter was rude. I don t remember his name but He was an older Mexican man. He never smiled. Looked like he was mad. He ignored me when I told him that my daughters plate was wrong. He never checked on us. Never offered to refill our waters. We asked him for Togo plates when finished, you'd think by us doing that he would know we were done eating. We sat there for about 15 mins waiting for him to bring the check. I found this restaurant on Facebook. They had an advertisement for BOGO meals. I had never been to this location before. I ordered two different fajitas meals and a large Don Julio margarita. I must say.... The food and drink was exceptionally good but the charro beans was ice cold but good. So good, I was telling my husband that we would be back until it was time to check out. I followed the directions on my coupon. When I check out, I show my waiter my coupon. He goes and talk with someone and comes back to tell us the coupon is new and it was suppose to read on for a value up to $21. No where on the coupon does it say your meal must be under $21(see attached). I would have ordered accordingly just to try the place out. My husband was like we will just pay the bill. I was like no I want them to honor the coupon they sent me. They took off only $21 from our bill and I still left a $20 tip because that is what Jesus would have done. This is a pleasant place to enjoy a family meal. The servers are very attentive and the atmosphere is quiet. The food always looks appetizing and the taste matches up. I had the Alicia Citrus Salad with beef fajita today, and I enjoyed every bite. The beef was perfectly done, and the salad included jicama, strawberries, oranges, and mangoes. It came with a slightly sweet raspberry dressing on the side. My guys enjoyed the blackened tilapia and the chicken Alicia. If the prices were a little lower, I would come much more often. read more

This location is superb. I went for a Yelp offer, which was a small queso. He let me have it even though you have to dine in to unlock it! I went in their Take-Out area. I ended up getting a taco, flauta, and chicken enchilada, which comes with beans & rice. Build your own dinner. It was fresh, hot, and delicious! I could not eat it all at just $9.95, I even took some home to my husband. The chicken flauta was stuffed with yummy white chicken. Everything was really good! I highly recommend this restaurant. Seems like they have made some changes for the better since a few years ago. I had their mixed fajitas most recently and their beef fajitas are super tender and delicious. Love their homemade tortillas. Glad u live right around the corner from this place. read more

Maybe because it was within 'happy hour' so it was so loud and we couldn't talk/hear each other unless we had a shouting match. All we could hear: shrieking lady from across the room among all the chatters/laughter...we could hear others talking most of the time. And since it's happy hour (maybe?) we didn't get drinks menu, just the food menu. One cannot assume we only want the happy hour deal (right?) and so it took a while to get our drinks which made us decide not to get more drinks and any appetizers due to the waiting time. Our waiter was good but since he got slammed, he was flying around among his tables which some were tables of 6 so it took time for him to catch up especially for smaller tables like ours (table of 2) didn't know if there's any 'special of the day' or anything so we just ordered something easy and normal for dinner so we can eat and be done with it. read more

We were a group of eight sitting by the bar area, though still at a table, and I became embarrassed I suggested Alicia's for our get together. Thirty-one years ago this week, Hurricane Alicia appeared almost out of nowhere and hit the Texas Gulf Coast as a category 3 storm. It caught Galveston and Houston by surprise; it wasn't a welcome storm and it caused quite a bit of damage, but for some reason many people don't remember it. Thankfully, it did pass through our area quickly. I, however, remember it vividly, for what it did and for what I had to do without in the days following its landfall. Today I breezed into Alicia's Mexican Grille. It sort of appeared out of nowhere, tucked behind a few other restaurants as a few coworkers and I were searching for a place to eat a quick lunch in between a day packed of meetings. This Alicia came in as a category 2; it didn't cause any damage locally, but I'm certain that after a while I really won't remember it. Food was truly mediocre: it packed a gusty punch to fill you up, but it lacked flavor and depth. Lunch menu prices hit a little hard in the wallet, as I ordered the least expensive lunch item and an iced tea and incurred $10 worth of damages. Service was quick and easy, as our waiter made it to our table rapidly and delivered swiftly - so Alicia (the restaurant, and ironically the storm) was quite a speedy event. I looked for our waiter during our meal, for I yearned for some Cholula Sauce or habanero sauce, but sadly, neither was to be found and I had to do without. Such is life in the aftermath of Alicia, I suppose. Without adequate warning at a time when the Houston Gulf Coast region was not as populated as it is now, Hurricane Alicia was a happening that could have been avoided. With so many other eateries now from which to choose, Alicia's Mexican Grille has raised the appropriate flags to warn residents: you may want to move to higher ground. Remember Alicia (the storm of '83), but personally, I'd forget the restaurant. read more

After ordering from Alicia's several times, I've finally got them figured out. They stuff their lobster enchiladas with mainly imitation crab meat and then a couple of small pieces of actual lobster. The Camarones Alicia, they stuff their shrimp with chicken, making them appear bigger. All the while charging you top dollar for a plate. So whomever was cooking the night of 5/28/2021 you definitely got the time down on the beef, DO NOT CHANGE IT. I got some shrimp tacos and they were also very good. The service is fine if you order just what they want to serve to you. I had the salmon with vegies; I asked to have the spinach raw, not boiled. They told me that they do not have it; ...and the sauce was too salty but the salmon was ok. I asked for hot tea; they brought a Styrofoam cup with heated tea from the cold tea! I didn't use any! I cannot believe a restaurant cannot have hot tea, with tea bags in regular glass/ceramic cups! read more
