Our group of 4 all absolutely loved our brunch experience at Alisios. The space feels beautiful, with a consistent light and fresh yet old-world aesthetic. They offer seating out front, but on a nice day, they have glass walls that open, and inside feels like sitting on a veranda somewhere in Europe. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. And the food was absolutely outstanding! A super creative menu that uses quality ingredients and achieves unique dishes I would come back for repeatedly. This includes their cocktail menu, which is well crafted and has ample zero proof options. Expect the pancakes to be a little more dense and corn mealy than standard buttermilk, which is perfectly done and in line with the cuisine. The french toast just melts with milky richness and berry brightness. And the chilaquiles were a perfect balance of flavors and textures. We will absolutely be back to try dinner items! read more

Yea, it's MP in a prime location but two amuse bouche/canapé sized apps, two tacos, one entree, a soda, and a cocktail for $180 after tip is very expensive. Because we fell in love with every single aspect of Alisios. The restaurant is stunning. You feel like you have been transported to Mexico. Our server, Lolo, was incredible. He had the best energy, was very attentive, and gave great recommendations. We never missed a beat and always showed up with things before we could even ask for them. He made us feel comfortable and genuinely seemed to care about making our experience great. Thank you! Their drinks were tasty, but not extraordinary. The food, however, was outstanding. I was extremely impressed by the presentation, the quality of ingredients, preparation, and superb flavor. We enjoyed: -HH Oysters (4/5): Fresh, plump, and perfectly shucked, their HH oysters were paired with a mignonette and hibiscus pearls. Very refreshing, especially on a hot day. -Smoked Oyster (4/5): These warm, rich, and umami-bursting beauties were quite the contrast to the HH oyster. The edible shell is not only genius, but the texture and flavor complemented the mollusk. Beware, these are very filling, so best to share. -Corn 3 Ways (4/5): The corn itself was just ok. But what made this dish stand out was the sweet corn tuile and the handmade tortillas. I usually don't care much for corn tortillas. But their blue/purple corn tortillas have made me a believer. The overall dish could benefit from some sauce, as eating the corn by itself, or even with the tortillas, got old quickly. -Octopus & Jungle (5/5): This is the dish that I was still obsessing over for days. First off, you get 2(!) large, perfectly cooked tentacles that taste very fresh. The accompanying smoky & spicy tamarind glaze paired well and tasted like nothing I ever had before. It was so good, I asked for a small to-go container. But what took this dish over the top were the charred seasonal veggies. No boring broccoli here. I'm talking pattypan squash, oxheart carrots, asparagus, and veggies I couldn't even identify. All the veggies retained their crunch and nutrition. It was beautiful. I know my vegetarian friends would LOVE these. -Beef & desert (5/5): My husband was swooning over his dish, savoring every bite with a smile on his face. -Churro & Plantain (5/5): We almost skipped the dessert, but I am so glad we didn't. Their churros were fresh, warm, and crunchy. But that plantain filling was everything. Just give me a whole bowl of that with some churros to dip in, and I will be a happy camper. We came for dinner on a summer evening and were seated outside. Drinks: - Paraiso blanco: like a tiki drink but with a Mexican twist - Pineapple margarita Starters: - Queso fundido: warm, with a fried squash blossom and tortillas - Corn 3 ways: buttered corn, popcorn cream, sweet corn tuille -Tuna puffs: was these right away before the puffs get soggy! - Guacamole with tlayudas: good texture on the tlayuda Shrimp and hamachi aguachile: refreshing More substantial dishes: - Shrimp and poblano enchilada: on the creamier side - Bird and ash: chicken breast or duck breast; we did chicken, which was tender, and it comes with lots of veggies, but I wish there were more mole Tacos: - Chicken tinga: my favorite of the bunch - Spicy shrimp: a bit saucy - Mushroom tacos Given the variety on the menu, it's fun to share things, though with the caveat that some of the tables are on the smaller side, so it was a challenge to fit all of the dishes on the table at once. Of note, they also have a kids' menu, which is nice for families! I like the more interesting menu items, and it's a beautiful setting inside (honestly, I wish we had been seated inside instead of outside since tables are larger, and service is probably more consistent). The food is off the chain fabulous! The blue corn masa, the queso, the empanada, chicken mole, chicken tinga, beans, and rice were all outstanding. Not at all your average Mexican fare. It's very elevated and reasonably priced. The margaritas are strong!! Oh and the sweet corn dessert and chocolate cake are not to be missed. After only a month open, the service is outstanding. While the restaurant was loud, outside was perfect. We will make this a regular place to eat! read more

Great option for a pre concert show at the Guild (which is what we did) Loved the beer flights, super reasonable 3 5 oz on tap pours for $10 and they were interesting mexican beer options, a perfect combo to our meal. We tried the queso fundido which came with fresh tortillas. would have liked a chip option too as 3 small tortillas were not enough for all that yummy cheese, the squash blossom was a nice addition. Also tried the Chicken tinga tacos and the Al Pastor. Other reviewers like the chicken, we thought the Al pastor had more flavor. The restaurant it beautiful and modern inside with outdoor seating on the side walk and some outdoor within a small iron fence. MP can be warm in the summer and it's a perfect casual spot for a drink an light meal. We didn't try any of the entrees this time, maybe next. They do tack on a service charge and tip is calculated on the entire total including tax and service. Our bill also had an someone elses drink on it and it took awhile to get it corrected. I'm a big fan of Burma Love, so I was excited when the owners opened this new Mexican restaurant at Springline. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The restaurant has only been open for about a month, so they may still be working through some kinks. Even so, based on both the food and the service, I'm hesitant to return. Overall, the food and the service were slow, and we were rarely checked on during the meal. That could've been excused, though we had a number of alarming issues. We chose a table on the patio. Our server greeted us and asked whether we wanted still or sparkling water. Both my husband and I requested still water, but, perhaps because of the constant street noise and passing trains, we were brought a bottle of sparkling water instead. We pointed out the mistake, and our server quickly replaced it with still water. For drinks, my husband and I both ordered the same margarita: one zero-proof and one with alcohol. Offering both versions on the menu is a thoughtful touch for couples with different preferences. After more than 10 years of sobriety, I took my first sip of alcohol because I was handed the wrong drink. The alcoholic and zero-proof margaritas are served in different glasses with different garnishes specifically to prevent this kind of mistake, making the mix-up especially concerning. For dinner, we ordered the duck confit flautas, the Bird & Ash with chicken, and the Octopus & Jungle. The duck flautas had a nice crunch and were topped with bright, refreshing lettuce and queso fresco, but they needed more seasoning. The chicken in the Bird & Ash was dry and similarly underseasoned with a small serving size.The Octopus & Jungle was the standout of the meal. The octopus was cooked well, the portion was generous, and the presentation was beautiful. At the end of the meal, I was handed the dreaded Toast tablet, complete with the awkward experience of choosing a tip while the server stood nearby. The payment screen didn't include an itemized bill, and the total seemed higher than expected. After reviewing the emailed receipt, I discovered we had been charged for the bottle of sparkling water and that a 20% automatic gratuity for large parties had been added despite our table of two. I asked our server to have both charges removed. The manager corrected the bill but didn't offer an apology. While the food was good enough for me to give the restaurant another chance, the service changed my mind. If you decide to visit, bring your patience, and be sure to ask for a receipt to confirm you're being charged correctly. read more

We would order a couple of appetizers and each order a couple of different tacos and often share those too. Brought a group back tonight for a taco fest and the menu option was gone! Had to order a minimum of two of the same taco, no ability to mix and match as before. Very disappointed with this management team after what they have done to their menu and their customers. What was a great customer experience is now a terrible customer experience! Will NOT recommend this restaurant to my friends and will NOT be back! The minute we walked in , we feel like we are transported to the Mexican riviera, beautiful and airy! But wait ! The food is what gets us here : the smoked oysters is the must order here , we love oysters but these unique oysters are the juiciest , freshest oysters we ever ate ! We even ate the shells too, they are edible ! The variety of tacos here tastes amazing and they are the elevated tacos we've never seen in other Mexican restaurants, it's a must try . We also had the beef and the duck breast as the main course , but by this time I was already pretty full . My husband ate 1/2 of my portion clean ! This is the newest and hottest place to go in Peninsula area , and we don't even have to travel all the way to Mexican riviera to enjoy the atmosphere and the food !!
