This place is perfection. I came here for my birthday brunch it was fabulous. The food was tasty. I had the Chinese chicken salad and cauliflower bites. Delicious Service was attentive and it's cute, charming and a wonderful place to go with friends .

Very pretty place to eat Saturday lunch. It is a bit hidden as it is in the middle of a garden(?) art gallery(?). We came with a group of 10 and the service was the kindest I've seen. The food was good too especially the Seafood Paella and the Shrimp tacos. I personally had the Wagyu steak and eggs which I'm not sure can say was a very good steak. The price point is definitely on the higher point considering the food. Maybe the garden vibes are worth the price.

I went here today for a small baby shower celebration, it was my first time visiting. The food and service were great, and the environment was both beautiful and relaxing. Coming here with one or two kids might work, but probably not with a whole group . I loved how calm the atmosphere was, and the garden was absolutely gorgeous. Definitely planning to come back but next time without the kids

This beauty of a restaurant is tucked away in a neighborhood and you'd definitely miss it (like I did!) if you just willy nilly drove by without paying attention. We had a reservation at 11:30a but the restaurant was empty on a week day, even for brunch. Lunch didn't start picking up until 12:30/1p and the musician was getting ready to play. What a wonderful ambiance (that we missed out on!) Service was extremely attentive, though we felt a bit awkward because all eyes were on us because we were the only ones there, BUT I might have been in over my head because staff was extremely quick to attend to us before we even needed to ask for anything. While they didn't have a kids menu, my little one enjoyed the chicken carbonara with me and the garlic bread appetizer. Who doesn't love bread and its garlicky goodness?! But back to the pasta: I enjoyed it because the meat and asparagus to pasta ratio was amazing. The pancetta was so crispy, it added nice texture. I normally don't get pasta, but theirs just blew me away and I'm glad I tried it! My husband got the short rib rigatoni and I thought the short rib was so tender and the sauce was flavorful. We ended with dessert and enjoyed the ginger creme brûlée. I personally thought it was light on ginger flavor but it was still good. My little one enjoyed the macaroons. Overall, this place feels very posh. The view of the garden is lovely exiting and entering, and the staff is extremely friendly.

We came here via reservation for my friend's birthday and what a beautiful place to be in for our lunch! It's tucked away in a quaint neighborhood with plenty of parking inside. We came on a day where there was a company outing so we actually had to park in the neighborhood. The seating area was not too large and quite peaceful, with the water fountain running in the background. Umbrellas were up on all tables to block the late morning sun. The menu was decently small and seasonal, we decided to go for: Shrimp ceviche: very tasty, shrimp was fresh and had good chunks of avocado that paired well with the crunch tortilla chips Salmon Niçoise salad: salmon was moist and not too fishy, lots of variety in this salad including some capers, dressing was not too heavy Paella: definitely one of my favorite! the rice was perfectly cooked and the flavor was all there. there were pieces of squid, large shrimps, which added some nice texture with each bite. Overall, it was a fun experience! Cafe Wisteria would be a lovely place to visit for a special day.

Such a beautiful and lightly fragrant treat to enjoy the shaded California sunshine under the Wisteria! We had the steak salad, seafood paella, and tortilla soup. Everything was served elegantly and deliciously tasty. Service was prompt and friendly.

A hidden gem and not to be missed culinary experience situated in the most gorgeous garden nestled among an historically significant cluster of shops and artist studios. I spent several hours with girlfriends of more than 35 years today, basking in the glow of our shared memories and the Fall sunshine. Our lunch was amazing, ambiance was superb and service was spectacular. Two of the four of us travelled pretty far for this experience and the two of us who were local and had been here before were delighted by the fact that they kept declaring how worth the trip the experience was. We were enchanted by how the grounds resembled our high school in Monterey, which was situated on the grounds of what was once a Hacienda style ranch. I had the pumpkin soup and paella with tropical iced tea to drink. Of course I was delighted with the pumpkin soup, a favorite of mine, but this was a hearty, tummy warming version, enhanced by the crunchy pepitas and crostini. My paella was perfect, the bomba rice studded with saffron and toothsome. Huge scallops and succulent prawns were the stars of the dish and mild- ish chorizo gave a meaty accent. Since I was pretty full from my soup, I only could eat about half of my main dish. Two of my friends raved about their crab Benedict and one of them had the beef tacos. We opened and closed the place down, lingering as they were setting up for a wedding. Afterwards we visited the florist, looked at some of the exhibits and reminisced about high school.

What a hidden gem! I had no Clive this was even here until a friend recommended it. Husband and I did a "day date" to have lunch here during the week. The setting is picturesque with it's plethora of flowers and beautifully landscaped grounds. It feels like a secret garden almost; we loved taking time after we ate to walk around and browse the artisan shops after our lunch. The cafe outdoor tables are the real show stopper in my opinion, though I'm sure eating inside is lovely too. Given it was a nice summer day, we snagged a table right by the fountain outside. I love the colored glass tumblers they use for water glasses here, such a fun detail. The food here was delightful and had good portions sizes. I had a Chinese chicken salad and husband had a the Smokey chicken carbonara pasta dish. Both were flavorful and not too heavy. I could tell the food was well prepared and high quality. Can't wait to come back again in the spring!

Mid week brunch meant a quieter atmosphere and open seating. After perusing the menu we ordered at the counter before sitting at a table after picking up utensils and water. We ordered Fambrini's Breakfast, Brie & Mushroom Omelette, Crab Omelette, and shares the Lotus Biscoff Pancakes. Everyone loved their egg platters. The eggs were perfectly light and fluffy. I generally avoid omelettes getting scrambles instead because restaurants tend to overcook the eggs. Our dishes were prepared with quality and flavor in mind. I personally had the crab omelette and left no crumbs behind. The potatoes were well seasoned and wish I had enough room in my tummy to finish them off! The drip coffee was bold and delicious not watered down at all! Finally, we shared the 2 stack biscoff pancakes for a sweet finish. The pancakes were bouncy with biscoff sauce and a mound of whipped cream. This was mouth wateringly delicious. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was so yummy. This isn't a traditional sit down service but counter staff were friendly and efficient. There is a small parking lot off to the side and there is indoor and patio seating. The dalgona coffee looks amazing but is only okay, I'd maybe try something else. It is definitely Cafe style, where you order and pay at the counter first. They usually help you find seating (which is all outdoors) and bring out the food. From there everything is self-serve, whether that's for utensils or simply getting water. While I never…read moremet the man, he has incredible taste, because Sweet Maple has the best breakfast food I've ever had in the bay area. Well worth the trip. The two of us were dubious about the Millionaire's Bacon, because it was hyped up to the point where it seemed unlikely that it could live up to the reputation. We were wrong. We ordered the Millionaire's Bacon sampler platter, which is four strips of long, thick pieces of bacon, baked with brown sugar and spices. There is the original, which is brown sugar, cayenne, red, and black pepper, which was sweet, salty, and the perfect amount of spicy. The other slices were orange, cinnamon, and rosemary. My partner enjoyed the orange best, whereas I loved the cinnamon, but we both thought the rosemary was underwhelming. The bacon itself was very thick and meaty with a minimal amount of fat, and was just clearly high quality pork. Truly worth the hype. We also got the bottomless mimosas, which not only had multiple choices of juice (we got raspberry lemonade) but were surprisingly heavy on the champagne. The waiter kept them coming without us needing to ask, to the point where I had to tell him I was done because I was a little too tipsy for breakfast. My partner got the chicken croffle, and was very impressed. I tried the fried chicken (though not the croffle) and it was very well spiced, very crunchy, and well cooked--juicy and tender. I got the big hip, which is deep fried "french toast". I wouldn't call it french toast myself, but it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and came with fresh fruit, butter, and syrup. There wasn't enough syrup for the entire dish, but I asked our waiter for more and he came back with it in less than a minute. On top of the food being as close to perfect as you can get, the service was great. Several different waiters checked in on us throughout the meal, making sure we were enjoying the food and that we didn't need anything else. The vibes of the restaurant are really enjoyable too. The décor is lovely, the sound levels are very reasonable, and everything was spotless during our visit. Overall, I can't recommend Sweet Maple enough, and I'm kind of glad it's not closer to my house because I would go bankrupt with the amount of Millionaire's Bacon I'd buy on a weekly basis.

There will be plenty of foot traffic going in and out of the restaurant. My dining companion and I settled in at the counter since the weather was a bit brisk today. Joanie's has been around long enough to wear its old-school vibe with confidence. The service is just fine. Nothing to complain about and nothing to tell write home about. It's a small enough place you are able to flag someone down if you needed something. We both ordered the "Joanie's Breakfast Medley" which includes French toast or two pancakes, two eggs any style, home fries, and your choice of protein (bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, chicken-apple sausage, or ham) for $25.95. We added two coffees, because we are functioning adults who require caffeine to make decisions. The food was fine, it was what a Sunday breakfast should be. I had a bit of a sticker shock when I asked for the bill and saw that it was OVER $75 for two people at breakfast, with tax and tip. I sat there doing the math in my head the way you do when you're hoping the numbers will somehow rearrange themselves into something more palatable. They did not. Now, to be fair, I am fully aware that the cost of ingredients and labor has gone up across the board. I was just operating on an optimistic budget of maybe $60 which I now realize is one of those "back in my day" comments to bore the Gen Zs to tears. If you want a recommendation for something sweet, go straight for the Cherries, Berries and Mascarpone French Toast. The eggs benedict is a reliable choice too, if you're feeling classic. The restaurant is easy to get to as it is located at the corner of California and Ash Street, and there's a large parking structure right next door. Would I go back? Probably, yes. But I will be prepared so that the wallet shock doesn't catch me off guard again.
