Finally tried this spot yesterday after having it on my list for a while. First off the service was fast, super fast, we got there a few minutes after opening, there were people behind us and people ahead of us and I was surprised how quickly we got our food. Prices were average, bathroom clean. It's a small Spot right in the heart of downtown Princeton. The poutine was delicious. The burgers were good, the sauce on them was ok. Definitely the entire menu reminds me of shake shack but I prefer their cheese sauce on their burgers but I have to try the jalapeño one next time. Simple burger joint in Princeton. The burger quality itself was good! My standard burger came out to about $10 because I added cheese and onions (1$ each). The indoor dining area is cute. Nothing was visibly dirty, but the restaurant unfortunately smelled of dirty mop water when I went. Luckily the surrounding campus has plenty of outdoor seating available to enjoy a meal. Came here on a weekend night and decided to eat here... the seating area was swarmed by old French fries and garbage, which was pretty unpleasant. The burger was alright - nothing amazing for a smash burger, but I asked for extra jalapeños and got 1.5 slices. Oh, I went up to ask for more jalapeños and was denied anything more than what I receive - 0/5 on customer service (god that photo I took just looks sadder when I see it). We were excited to do some outdoor dining on a beautiful sunny day. The space is built for a quick bite, bad the menu is not very extensive. What really made the experience stand out was the incredible customer service from the gentleman on the register. He explained how the burgers were made, about the company and even some Princeton history. The burgers were solid, but if you are hungry I recommend getting a double patty. The single was satisfying, but with all the toppings, I wanted more beef. Now, the real apple of my eye were the cheese fries! They were crispy and had about a pound of cheese on them. Considering burger joints number in the tens of thousands anyone who claims omniscience on the issue is probably a shill and/or liar but surrounding my dot on the central Jersey map their Holypeno burger and Cajun fries are pretty damn good and is certainly worthy of a second visit (like tomorrow.) For ten bucks plus tax, it blows the fast food imposters away and gives me pause to question my grease-bomb burger fetish at several diners in the area. The humble burger has been around well before the last pandemic in 1919 (1900 actually, courtesy of New Haven's Louis Lassen) it's certainly nice to see some shops still pushing the envelope. One of my favorite places to eat around here - a quick, no frills burger joint that wins the hearts of this college town. Eating the SPB (siracha, peanut butter, bacon) burger always makes me wish I had ordered another one. Pair that up with some ranger or cajun fries and you have a full meal that makes you wonder why you don't come here more often. The portions they give you make the prices worth it. Came here recently and enjoyed myself! First, parking is available nearby on the street as well as in various parking garages. Inside, the restaurant has some interesting decor (basically, burgers inserted into famous paintings) and a handful of tables. Not a ton of seating, but my wife and I managed to find a spot so I can't complain. The food was pretty tasty! I got the burger with jalapenos and spicy mayo and enjoyed it. The staff was pretty solid and gave me a free side of spicy mayo for our fries (which were pretty darn delicious). So why not 5 stars? The burger was decent but it kind of spilled everywhere and was hard to eat, and I've had higher quality patties and buns elsewhere. Dropped by on a weekday afternoon with a friend. The restaurant occupied what used to be 30 Burgers, albeit with much nicer decor. The man at the register was very friendly, and our order came out in less than 10 minutes--much better service than their predecessors. The menu is pretty small. It's like we went somewhere different from everyone else. The cashier could not be bothered to look up from his phone when we ordered. They don't serve tap water. A bunch of tables were dirty. The food didn't match what we ordered (though they did swap it out when we asked about it). I was pleasantly surprised by this place! It's not hard to make an ok burger, but I really liked the smokehouse burger on a lettuce wrap. The barbecue sauce was a good mix of spicy and sweet. We got the Cajun fries which were way too spicey (like they put way too much seasoning on it), but the portion size was quite large which is nice. We also got the poutine which was tasty, though the cheese curds were more squishy than squeaky. Overall, a decent place to get a burger and some fries. I really liked that they served all of the food in compostable containers, but was a little let down by the fact they had plastic ketchup packets. Ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. It wasn't bad but can't say it was exceptional and for $9 that is to be expected. On the side, I was able to sample the Ranger Fries and Poutine with the help of a few friends. The Ranger Fries had BBQ sauce, cheese, and bacon bits, all of which go pretty well on top of fries, though I will say the BBQ sauce is a bit strong and heavy. I never had Poutine before but from here it's really good. Both fries are around $5. Customer service could use some work though (the cashier looked like he just woke up or something). All in all, I would say my experience here is good enough to recommend others to try it at least once. read more
