A great place to eat if visiting Alki beach. There's tons of seating with both outside and inside options. There's place looks nice, with dimmer lighting and tasteful decorations. They offer typical Vietnamese food options. I got their Banh Mi sandwich and chose pork for the meat. It was very tasteful and was nice and juicy. Here the sandwich come with fries which were very crispy which is great. The service was quick and helpful. And we never had to wait too long for anything. Overall a solid spot.

Fair prices and great food. The service was awesome. I enjoyed watching the World Cup here while I had some pho and potstickers. Nice and clean area. Would definitely come again.

We were riding our E-bikes along Alki Beach when we spotted this restaurant and decided to stop in. My wife wanted a Bahnmi sandwich but she had also been craving pho, so it seemed like the perfect place to check out and maybe add to our list of go-to spots when we're in town. The decor was clean and comfortable--nothing flashy, just a nice, welcoming setup. It's not a huge place, but there's a fair amount of seating, especially when you include the bar area. The overall vibe is kind of a mix between a sports bar and an Asian restaurant, with TVs in the bar showing different games, which is great if you like to catch some sports while you eat. They also have a full bar, so you can enjoy a drink with your meal or just relax with a cocktail while watching a game. My wife ordered the combo pho, and I went with the chicken and shrimp vermicelli bowl. The service was excellent--Jenni and the rest of the staff were friendly and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that the vermicelli bowl came with just two shrimp on a skewer. To get more, I had to order the shrimp skewers separately, which came with four skewers and two shrimp on each. That part could've been better, but the food itself was delicious--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. I also liked how close it was to our Airbnb, which made it a super convenient stop after a long day. Overall, great food, great service, and we'll definitely be back next time we're in town.

Stop by to visit my friend while she was working. I had eaten not too long ago so I just wanted wings and drinks while my friend ordered pho. I had to request if they'd do salt and pepper wings since I wasn't feeling fish sauce wings close to 9pm ahaha. Luckily, the agreed to make it. The tamarind whiskey sour is delicious, love that tartness to it and the wings were sooo good. I wasn't expecting much but they exceed my expectation. The little salad that accompanied the wings were nice to have as well. I wanted rice but I didn't want to order it. Location isn't convenient if it's busy but the space is fairly large and so cute. Will definitely come back to visit.

After completing a sunset hike, my friends and I decided to grab a meal at Alki Pho & Bar since it's close to where one of my friends live. It was surprisingly busy at Alki for parking. We luckily found parking less than a block away from the restaurant. Our group of four was seated right away. It wasn't busy inside given we arrive around 8PM. There were two other groups inside. The restaurant closes at 9PM. I ordered a small Combination Pho and we shared the Sweet Potato Fries. The fries were very HOT. They were freshly made and delicious. The pho was a great meal to have after hiking in the dark!

Great ambiance and great patio for your fur babies. Food was all great, my fav was the chow mien and salad for sure. Staff is friendly and attentive. Vy's the best!

Yellow curry (I got veggies instead of potatoes) was great but needed heat and pepper.

Decided to try this spot randomly alone. The male server who helped me seemed pretty confidant and was in tu e with my needs for hot sauce and water refills so kudos to him. He also let me modify my meal a little bit to my liking. The yellow curry was good, but lacking it flavor. I had to doctor it up quite a bit. I was happy with the veggies though. My only complaint really is they had the same kinda sad song on for like the whole 45 minutes I was here. Honestly I'm right between 3 and 4 stars. They do carry my favorite tequila so that's nice, though I wasn't drinking. I really liked the ambiance with the door open and outside seating area on this beautiful sunny day.

Came here on a Sunday around 12:00pm. Got seated quick. Balcony to see view and inside seating. Got the brisket pho. Plenty of noodles and it came out hot. Taste wise was good. Meat was thin however a lot of fatty pieces more than just the meat. Got the mango juice tasted like dole juice not freshly squeezed. Overall, for price to taste it was good for a one time try.

I've eaten pho from Alki pho since it opened but always as a takeout. We finally dined there and it didn't disappoint. The food was great as always, the oxtail pho is my favorite. Service from start to finish was so friendly and accommodating. We also ordered the beef short ribs. So delicious. We look forward to dining here again soon.

    Is this place kid friendly?

I have seen kids in here but since it's a bar I would be cognizant of when you plan on taking your kid. Also as a more adult setting maybe consider the age of your kid as well.

Does this restaurant have vegan options, specifically a hearty vegan phó?

Yes we do have vegan options and vegan pho :)

    Is this restaurant dog friendly?

It is, our friend had their dog with us.

I think the medium was the perfect spice level for me where it wasn't too little or too much and I thought this was quite filling. I was very hungry as I didn't have lunch so I finished the whole bowl but I think if you were eating normally you could have a bit to take away as well! The apps aren't bad either but it's a heaping bowl- I almost always have leftovers (pro tip is to boil more noodles at home and add them so the meal literally keeps giving for a while) Go early or be prepared to wait. The turnover is wicked fast here you literally order and get your noodles like 1 minute later, and it's majorly slurpable so I feel like you finish pretty quick! Also there's a nice fish tank to look at while you're seated.

Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once. The food here is so good, though, and prices are so reasonable, that I truly do not care that the experience is pretty bare bones otherwise.

This seems to be an ongoing theme of Japanese food places in the U.S. - the portion sizes of this place is insane. At the counter I ordered the "Tomato Niku-Tama" and poured some water from the self-serve station. The soup base was good and the udon was ok. I wish the noodles had a bit more chew and bounce to it, it felt like my noodles were slightly well done. Appreciated that if you dine in, the udon was served with a complimentary chawan-mushi, pickled cabbage, ginger, & Azuki jelly. The udon bowl was enough food but the sides were a great addition. Staff seem to hear exclamation of the size often and pleasantly giggled at our reactions and of the other patrons. Udon depending on the bowl ranges from $21-$25 each. The flavor profile is a mix of Indian and Asian so if you like that type of food, you will definitely love the different taste of food at this restaurant. The quantity was appreciable, one dish is enough for two people to share, which I really appreciate in this market as a lot of other vendors are decreasing the quantity of food. It came with cucumbers and fried peanuts, both which added another taste element to the dish. We also had the coconut curry noodles, also delicious and would be even more amazing on a rainy day. We got both with tofu and vegetarian options. However, I am confident that with chicken or prawns it would be equally if not more delicious. Service: We were seated quickly, they came to get our orders very fast, and the food came promptly as well. However, prices have almost doubled since I last visited, exacerbated by the 18% mandatory service charge, and I am never a fan of mandatory anything so I hold these restaurants to a much much higher bar. We got the nasi lemak with beef rendang and the roti jala with chicken curry. They are both delicious and well spiced, but flavors are a little more mild to better cater to the western palate. The nasi lemak is a good portion size, just not enough sambal to mix but somewhat satisfactory to have every bite be flavorful. The beef rendang is good but a bit underseasoned; it is still a good choice for those that never tried beef rendang from Malaysia. The roti jala is a crowd pleaser - I love the net structure of the dish, but I wished they were a bit more generous with the curry as the curry can run out halfway into the dish. Service is good which is a bare minimum given the mandatory service charge - this encompasses checking up on us periodically, water refills, and taking away finished dishes promptly. Given the good overall experience, I can see why this place is way less busy, primarily the not as good of an affordability.

This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles.
