I'm very disappointed to be giving 1 star to what would have been a 3 star review to All About Poke but the reason, I feel, is very fitting given the exchange between the employees there. I'lll start from the beginning. Set-up: Pretty much the same as most of the other Poke places that have popped up lately. Chipotle style line of rice, fish, toppings, and sauce. Food: The fish was fresh (I think.. stay tuned), but the sauces could use some work. It was a little bland. I got the yuzu ponzu and spicy mayo (not spicy). The rice was cooked nicely though. Service: I THOUGHT they were friendly, but I was listening to the exchange between the two female coworkers as one was refilling the avocado container while the other was prepping my bowl. The employee that was refilling the avocado, picked up an avocado that was brown and almost rotting and asked her coworker what she should do with that piece. The coworker said "we should save that piece for a SPECIAL customer". Now, I really hope they were joking, but either way, not the type of joke you make at an establishment that serves food to people. Comments like that make me skeptical on the cleanliness and integrity of the business. I also have a degree in Environmental and Occupational Health which includes Public Health and I can tell you now that if someone from the Health Department overheard that conversation, not a lot of good things would have happened. I sincerely hope that there is a retraining on these employees on food safety. I highly doubt I will be coming back here just because I wouldn't trust the employees handling my food. YELP 100 REVIEW CHALLENGE 2016 --- 43/100 DELICIOUS! My family and I were definitely excited when we drove pass by. Finally a poke place close to our place. Decided to give it a shot and it did not disappoint. The place is quite small and can get packed during busy hours. They have a small parking at the back if you're just there for take out. Just like all poke places they do things in sections. The base, the sides, the main seafood selection, and the toppings. So far I've only gotten the Spicy tuna, Tuna cubes, and the scallops. All were delicious. Top it off with some spicy mayo. Addicted to this place so you'll be seeing me around. Great staff and food. Kudos! **LITTLE YELPERS** For families that have strollers, this is quite a tight spot but no worries there is a little wiggle space. Although, I wish they added outdoor seating. read more

I love All About Pokè! But what I didn't like is how different it is from my regular All About Pokè location in La Cañada. The seaweed and crab are complimentary as long as you choose between those, edamame, and another choice that isn't something I'd normally choose, so I forgot the name. You can pick two of the four choices. La Cañada allows you to have seaweed, crab, and edamame, with no issues. The toppings were very little. Where are the carrots? They have corn, cucumber, white and green onion, whole grape tomatoes (I'd really like those cut up), fresh ginger, and I think a couple of others. I got a small bowl with half brown rice and half salad. The kid that loses my bowl did it very sparingly. Salmon and scallops were my toppings, they were very good and very fresh. Crab, edamame, cucumber, green onion, lots of ginger, and ponzu sauce on top. They have their own loyalty card, so if you normally go to a different location they won't stamp that card, which makes sense, just a heads up. Parking is street parking only, you may be able to find a parking lot in the area. Had I never gone to the La Cañada location I would have loved this place. Maybe they spoil, but I thought the fact that I had to choose between seaweed salad and the edamame was really sad. I always have to have the crab though. The intersection of Hollywood Way and Magnolia Bl forever changed because of Porto's so of course the stores around it had to step their game up. All About Poke is a welcome addition to the block. I honestly think the place should change their marketing materials since the poke pics they have are pretty outdated and not very Instagram friendly. This is one instance where the marketing doesn't do the actual food justice because they give you LOTS of it and it's very good! You know the deal. Pick your base (salad, white/brown rice, no noodles here), pick your protein, sauce and toppings. Two things unique about this place are 1) on top of your protein, you get to pick two out of seaweed salad, crab, edamame or sweet egg for FREE and 2) the avocado while an additional cost, is actually a giant amount of serving. For me that's what makes this place a 5 star joint. I've tried all protein options including tofu, shrimp, salmon, tuna, spicy tuna and octopus except the yellowtail. I'm a poke eater and I'm a little unsure but the yellowtail does look on the "black-ish" side of raw fish. I'm a little sketched out by it so I just avoid that option. What happened to this place? I've been going here since they opened more or less 3 years now and the service was always wonderful. Tonight I was met with a surprise. I realized they messed up my order when I got home. I drove back to get it fixed. The least I expected was an apology, instead it was insinuated that IIIIII may have likely made the mistake. Lol, you're kidding me right? I played nice. I didn't want to embarrass the girl in front of her coworkers... But LOL!!!!! Customer service here = a joke!!! We ordered 6 poke bowls for dinner (11/23/20 roughly 6pm) and we were being helped by a nice lady for our first two bowls, she was fine. But the second girl (white girl with the blue/green hair) is the one that helped us with the last 4 bowls which we filled out on paper. She got 2 out of those 4 bowls wrong. I simply don't know how you expect someone to eat raw fish alone with no sauce at all. Nothing. I got home, started to distribute everyone's bowls, and find that TWO were dry. I flipped over the two poke bowls onto plates and found a brown creamy dressing at the bottom of the bowls which didn't taste like any of the sauces I ordered (anyone would be able to tell what spicy mayo looks like-orange, or even ponzu-color of soy sauce). And the weird part is that this mystery sauce wasn't on any of the tuna or zucchini and other toppings. IT WAS ALL DRY. No sauce on it at all. I even tried pieces of zucchini and fish to see if it soaked in ANY kind of sauce. Nope. No sauce. No flavor. Nothing. The same girl that screwed up our order kept saying the sauce goes to the bottom sometimes. Yes, I found the rice and the salad SOAKED in a creamy colored sauce, but the fish and the zucchini were DRY. And I pointed that out to her. She couldn't accept that it was made incorrectly. She couldn't admit fault or just apologize for making a mistake and being an inconvenience to a LOYAL CUSTOMER. Instead she really tried to make it seem like it was possible that I had made a mistake. You can't get around me. I've been eating poke all my life. I'm an islander. My dad is a fisherman. They all have the same offerings, same set up, and really is up to you the "consumer" to decide. So, I am going to leave an unsolicited review of All About Poke. The staff in this place is phenomenal, incredibly nice, and have always treated me with both excellent service and food. The freshness of the product, the amazing sauces, and incredible balance of the food is always top notch. I highly recommend you make a trip to experience it. Ask for a punch card, although I think I have lost all 5 of mine at this point, but I don't mind not getting a free bowl, when I think they deserve each dollar I spend. read more

I am actually disturbed by what I witnessed as I was standing in line. I live and work in Burbank so this is usually my go to spot for poke. I work in customer service so I feel very strongly about providing great quality customer service. As I was in line I noticed the manager harassing a handicapped person just because he entered from the back door. The customer kindly explained that he used that door because it was right in front of the handicapped space. The manager called him a liar, continued to cuss him out, and said "I hope you die on your way home". That is not just disrespectful to that customer but also to everyone who visits this place and all those people that were in line. I am shocked and baffled. Lately been craving poke and have been trying many different places. This one is in my hometown so I wanted to support it as well. Service: small place, not busy at all when I went right after the gym. Cool peeps working there. No issues at all. Food: got double scoops of tuna and salmon. Again, kept it healthy by getting brown rice, seaweed, cucumbers and avocado. I checked in and my avocado was free. So all the sides were good. My one issue was again the dressing had to be mixed in separately with soy sauce and sesame oil. I'm not a fan because when this happens they squirt both from tubes and it's not always amount so you get more or less of one. Otherwise, food itself was good. Fish was fresh. Of all the many poke places I tried I still so far prefer the poke salad bar in Pasadena on Colorado blvd because they simply have ponzu sauce ready made so I like that mix better. This place is a little bit pricey especially when you add additional items like avocado for an extra dollar. My go-to for a quick and healthy lunch that feels like a treat but doesn't derail my clean eating plans. They've got a great variety of options for bases (either brown or white rice, mixed greens, or soba noodles, which I thought was pretty great) proteins, toppings and sauces (so many good sauce options I had to taste a few, and generally do a blend because they're too tasty.) Prices are really reasonable for such generous amounts or good seafood-- the large, which is four scoops of fish, clocks in at around $13, and is so much food even at my hungriest I could barely eat all of it. (And I can eat.) Every bowl comes with two sides, or as I think of them, secondary premium topping options-- edamame, seaweed salad, crab salad, egg, etc. I always get the crab and seaweed salad which definitely leaves me full and happy-- most places would definitely charge at least an extra dollar for those, so I really appreciate that they're included. The mustard shoyu's a nice simple way to go, but now that I've tried the honey miso I get the two of those together every time, and sometimes some spicy mayo on the side to be indulgent. I'm a huge salmon fan, and this definitely gets me my fix-- though I've also tried the spicy tuna which is very tasty, too-- and very hot, so don't underestimate the spicy part! Top it all off with some crispy garlic and furikake and you'll be in poke heaven. Or, you know, whatever you want, since you decide entirely... that's the beauty of the place! read more
