The bread is the definite winner and reason to visit here. TL:DR yes I would absolutely return but based off a first impression with the Godfather sandwich, the inter-workings of the sandwich can really go with any sub shop, it's the bread that makes this place stand out from the rest. Place is small but the parking lot is worse and street parking is, well, typical Los Angeles. Service was great and my sandwich was ready in about 5 minutes. The small or 6" size sandwich is about $12 and it's well worth the price with the size, comparable to a Jersey Mike's regular size, it will definitely fill you up. Meats are tasty and light, veggies are crunchy and fresh, of course you gotta get the works for the full experience and I chose medium peppers that still had a good kick. I would've preferred a tad bit more Italian dressing. But like I said above, the filling for the sandwich is standard. Now that bread - WOW. Some of the crispiest bread you'll find and it's so fresh and really is unique to this place. It's soft on the inside and soaks up all the juices. It's actually a light and airy bread paired so well with that amazing crust. You know it's fresh when the sandwich is warm and not because they toast it or heat up the meat - it's all about the bread! If it weren't for the bread, I'd give this a 4/5 stars since everything hit the nail on the head, but the bread is definitely the reason to come back. read more

Zero regard for the environment and when I drop north of 25$ on a sandwich and BAD potato salad they should extend that courtesy to me and the environment. Came at opening on a Saturday and found a spot in the back, which the valet lady let me stay since I was doing pick up. I got the godfather, which is a cold cut sandwich, with hot peppers and all the toppings. The bread was soft yet sturdy, cold cut combo was perfect mix, and the dressing was tasty (more mustard forward, not sure if there was mayo). Their toppings include big slices of pickles, refreshing iceberg lettuce, very thinly sliced/small amount of onion, and tomato. Next time I'm going to ask for more onion and mayo hehe The person taking my order was so friendly and happy to explain sandwiches. My goodness, their bread is heavenly! Crispy, soft, flaky, delicious, warm, and did I say heavenly?!! I absolutely love sourdough bread and if I think I have found the hidden gem here in LA!! It seriously is all about the bread!! I am super picky about my sandwiches because they have to be good, if I am going to eat calories it has to be worth it, and let me tell you, this place is worth it!! I have tried their godfather and pastrami, and both were Delicious but my favorite, absolutely favorite is their pastrami! OMG! So amazing !! My sandwich was absolutely stellar& , of course, the bread was divine! We're going to Cinespia tomorrow night and I am hoping that All About the Bread will be open late enough for us to take our sandwiches out from there. They would be perfect for picnic. My only "complaint?" My sandwich was ENORMOUS! That's what my father calls a "high quality problem." And I would be remiss if I didn't mention how absolutely lovely the staff was. You need to educate your staff on how to approach when there's a service dog. They need to ask two questions. First question is, is this a service dog second question and what service does it do for you? In my case, my service dog alerts the public when I'm having a seizure from the mass on the spinal cord in my neck. That would be the same reason why I have a handicap placard that I hang on my car. In any case this staff member proceeded to tell me he needed a license for my dog and I asked him don't you need to ask me two questions and he told me no he needs the license which means he's not educated on how to talk to people with service animals! And more importantly, I went over there to get a bunch of food for my company that surprised me by coming over to my home that I've lived in for 10 years across the street from this establishment. Not to mention I've been to this place before when it was in the building next-door to where it is now. And the staff was much nicer. He proceeded to tell me I had to leave. And that he could not serve me and that I had to leave immediately with my dog. Now I'm reporting them to the US Department of Justice. I don't suggest anyone go to this establishment, especially if you have a service animal and I'll be sure to let all my friends in the neighborhood know how I was treated. read more

We had the Pastrami Sandwich and the Albacore Tuna Sandwich, flavors were ok a bit bland to me but the bread was amazing. It was my first time eating here. I originally wanted a fresh tuna sandwich from Larchmont wine and spirits but they don't have any apps for delivery. In the past I remember going into this place after lunch to check out what they offered. I asked to try a sample of tuna. They didn't allow it . I was craving a tuna sandwich and ordered off of Uber eats app, I called and asked if I could make my own tuna sandwich and that is exactly what I did. I took all of the toppings that Larchmont offers and requested it on this sandwich. Once delivered and I tried it, this place gives Larchmont village a run for their money! I was really looking forward to AABtB, I read about the Godfather and how good it was. The 'Works' too lured me in because it included 'Chicago peppers' which is giardiniera-which brought back all the great memories of Italian deli sandwiches in Chicago with a nice layer of rich, spicy layer of pickled peppers and veggies. There was a line but there was a pretty smooth system in place despite the limited floorspace. I ordered the Godfather with 'The Works' and while I was waiting for the order-I was reading the menu and saw that unless specified the Chicago peppers would be 'mild.' MILD! I went back up to the counter and told him that I didn't mention I wanted the hot peppers, by then it was already too late but he'd thrown in a side of hot ones. Excitedly I brought it home and it was just...ok. The bread was a cross between a baguette and a croissant-lots of flakiness but none of the butteriness with that coarse texture from a baguette but none of the sturdiness. My sandwich turned into a pretty sloppy affair and it was hard to hold together. I'll try some other places before I circle back for another try. read more

Pretty good sandwich spot. I found parking easily off a side street. The restaurant was pretty nice and clean inside - marble tables, wood seating, 4 televisions inside. They have a big display case with meats, cheeses, and deli sides. They also have a decent selection of chips across from the counter. They have cold and hot sandwiches and I went with a cold one - The Godfather. Got it with the works, meaning all the topping options. No choice on bread here - you get what they got! You have two size options - 6" or 11". I was anticipating wanting leftovers so I went with the larger size. I also got a side of the potato salad, the artichoke salad, and a pickle. Loved that they had pickles, reminded me of delis on the East Coast. The sandwich was pretty good. It was massive and I definitely couldn't finish it all. It drips a lot, so just be careful when eating and make sure you have a napkin. Wouldn't say it's the best sandwich I've had but it was a solid good one. The sides were okay, would pass on those next time. The potato salad was too creamy for me. Pickle was good, but hard to screw that up unless you make it sweet. Would recommend if you're craving a sandwich. I'll definitely come back here, next time I'll try their hot pastrami.
