All the R/O filters were always included in the $44 monthly contract in the past...today one filter out of the four is $250 plus the $528 we are paying annually. I know many recent reviews since All About Water was purchased by Collins have been poor but I'm here to say we had Collins out today and are very pleased. We inherited our EcoWater RO and water softener when we purchased our house. I purchased filters from AAW for 2 or 3 years but this year our softener had an issue. Seeing the recent negative reviews had me wondering if we should just get a new, non proprietary system from someone else, but we decided to have Collins out to see about repair. Our service tech, Saul, was very knowledgeable, approachable and knew what the problem was right away. He also installed new filters in our RO, which we knew we needed and wanted. It really was a good experience. I asked about perhaps buying additional filters for next year so we don't have to have someone out, which he said we could do, but also that if we want to wait we can just call them and they will ship them out (for a fee), rather than insisting a tech come out. That is good to know! For now we're definitely good with our 6 year old EcoWater systems. read more

They charge $115 service call which is fine but then if you decide to get the work done , they charge you for the work AND for another service fee to come out. Most places will put the service fee towards the work. Not this shop. Nickel and dime you to death. $115 for being there for 15 minutes. They sold me an RO system that uses only their filters which are very expensive. They charge a trip fee and parts and labor for the three filters. Expect to pay about $300 every 6 months. They overcharge for their work. read more

We have been customers of All About Water, through Costco, for a number of years and feel they have done a great job for us. Unfortunately, they have gone down hill since they were purchased by Collins Comfort Masters. The service techs now come every visit with some sort upsell attempt and most recently saying that after 9 years I need a new system for a total cost of $9K. I have the $32 monthly service contract and they continue to tell me that the sedative and gravel at the bottom is not covered and needed to be replaced at a cost of $976 to keep the system going. I called to complain after reading through the service contact again and specifically asked for a manager to contact me rather than the service tech, but they had the service tech call me back later that day to try and explain again. They can never give you a straight answer and really feel they don't know what they are talking about. Needless to say I will not be using them should I need to replace the unit down the road. Costco should get rid of this company after reading all the reviews that are listed on Yelp. read more

Service call for water softener repair 1st question can we test water? Yes 2nd question what are you doing for drinking water? ( RO system upsell ) No I drink bottled Tech then heads into the garage where I see him vaping/smoking. Diagnosis: valve that is under warranty is fine but accessories that connect to valve aren't and require service. Accessories fail due to design of unit and type of salt used. Cost to replace accessories is same price as replacing valve but if I buy replacement valve, accessories are included. So 10 year warranty at Costco only covers only select components and Costco will not accept return or provide assistance since it was purchased through EcoWater. Repair cost $850+ read more

I tried to post this previously and not sure what happened. This company came out to service my 81 year old mother's water softener. SImple, normal upkeep. By the end, they had told her the charges added up to over $700. Great work with an elderly widow. THEN, on her credit card statement, she has now been charged almost $1300 on the same day between 2 charges. If I was the only one stating that honesty is an issue with this company, I could accept that there is a miscommunication. But check it out, this is not only happening to my mother. We have contested the charge and I hope not to have to call the attorney general but don't trust this company with your credit card Thank you for your nice reply. I also received a voice mail and wanted to follow up. I spoke to my mother at length about this issue. She said that what was represented to her was that the 2nd visit would not incur extra charges. First of all, this business goes by several names including Collins Comfort, Ecowater, and All About Water. I made the fatal mistake of not checking yelp reviews, I'm so ashamed as an elite to have done this. SMH.I was going by the sticker from the installer of a fairly new system in the place that I'm currently living. Anyhow, I let a friend of mine baby sit my house doing the visit and a $200 filter change quickly turned into a several hundred dollar repair in the same system, which I feel should have been included in the cost of the filter change, but whatever. Also, the service person stated that my five year old hot water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced at an estimate of nearly $3000. As I said, I didn't read the yelp reviews. It seems that that's what they do. Now I'm all about up selling, and about trying to find more things to make the service call worth a trip.However, this filter change would've cost me almost $5000 if I hadn't put the brakes on all the recommendations. I can only imagine if it was my mother that had the same visit from the same guy. So, this will be my last interaction with this business. And I wish it hadn't been my first. Thank you for listening and don't leave your mother home alone with these people. This company is a Scam! Do not trust them ever! We moved to a new home last year and received a postcard from All About Water. We thought we would give them a try and it was the worst decision ever. If I could give their customer service a -1 I would. We got an RO System and water softener and were told that they had Wi Fi so they could monitor when the filter needed changing or when salt was needed. We noticed that the RO sensor changed from green to amber so we called the company. Not only are they not monitoring anything, but they wanted to charge $115 to come out and change the filters. It was going to cost us $250 overall! The sales rep that came out to sell us the systems lied to us and tried to upsell their crappy equipment. We will never use this company again and dont recommend that anyone else uses it. read more

I love my filtration system! Love the way the water tastes, for sure my favorite water by far, straight from my sink and fridge. I am so got my filter system through Costco and I wasn't harrassed and the rep was very sweet. Dana was the sales rep/tech that came to my home from EcoWater and he was amazing. Super detailed, very informed and made sure we were satisfied before leaving. He made sure we understood how to care for our system to ensure the best water. We've had the filter for 1 year and just got the light to change the pre and post filter. I called and ordered them from EcoWater and of course the rep on the phone was really quick and very nice as well. She made it so simple and said she would just ship it them to me. To me this is 1000 times better than having to haul bottles of water or 5 gallon jugs around and fish for coins. Best home purchase ever. You won't regret it. read more

My regular service was scheduled for my water softener and filters. When the service man arrived he convinced me to have my tankless water heaters flushed. I agreed at the cost of $165 per heater. I arrived home at 6:15. No hot water. Called at 6:22. Alvin said it would be elevated and taken care of tonight. At 8 pm Charmaine said the same thing. At 10:20 pm Mary said the same thing. Originally I got talked into getting a water softener for my old home and I did because my newborn daughter had skin issues. I don't exactly remember, but I paid around $4K for the water softener and an R.O. system for my kitchen. Every 6 months I would replace the filters for the R.O. system and getting it from All About Water. At that time, they were very customer service oriented and a very small business. But, their business began to expand but the customer service went south. The prices of the filters became outrageously expensive and I complained to them about it. They didn't really care because they had gotten quite big and maybe us little customers didn't mean much. I don't know. Anyway, I had conflicts with the company and they treated me very poorly, including refunding me money. Anyway, I now see the EcoWater Systems at Costco, but because of my experience with All About Water and how negative it was, I would never get this system and would rather pay more somewhere else to get something different for our needs. They are not a company that truly cares about their customers and making them happy. And, i can see that other people from other parts of the valley have shared similar dissatisfaction with them, so I am not alone. Oh, I forgot to add, I was having some issues with the R.O. System and asked them to help me out as I was having issues with my R.O. system. They were totally unhelpful and said they needed to come out and charge me some big fee, which I don't remember what that was. I can't remember exactly what the issue was or if I had them come out or not now, but it never got resolved and I was unable to use my R.O. system after that. I'm pretty sure I expressed to them my dissatisfaction, but they didn't really care. I remember the office staff being incredibly rude. It doesn't matter if you have great products, if your customer service is awful, this will steer customers away. read more

All About Water installed our RO system a few years ago and has been maintaining it ever since. They came out in June and replaced the filters. (There are now four filters on the system due to a problem they blamed on the Gilbert Water Department.) The RO faucet had been flashing yellow (meaning replace filters) for about two months prior to their visit. Those "old" filters were still pulling 93% TDS out of the water, so we hadn't been in a hurry to replace them. After they installed the new filters, the reading on their monitoring equipment dropped to 92% TDS removal and has been falling ever since. It is now down to 84%. But according to that same monitoring equipment we still have 220 days left before we need to replace the filters. The RO water even has a taste now, which we never had before. I called them today and got absolutely nowhere. The guy I spoke with was polite, but didn't know anything about water filtration systems, so he put me on hold and spoke to someone else. When he returned, I was told they would have to charge me for a service call ($115) PLUS parts if any were needed. I assume by "parts" they mean filters. I don't know how you can tell if filters are bad except by looking at the percent of TDS they remove AND how much time they have left. In other words, I'm going to get charged full price again for filters that appear to be failing very quickly, even though I have 220 days left according to their own equipment! I would absolutely not recommend this company since they do not stand behind their service or their products. One possibly relevant fact is that they were training someone new when they were here in June, and they had to come back later that day because they "forgot" to do something. They didn't tell us what it was. read more

My husband and I just purchased a house 4 months ago. We had Summer come out and educate us on there product. We are from Chicago and know the results of having hard water throughout the house. We decided to invest in ours home and go through with having this product installed. It's been about 2 month and I am still happy with my decision. My curly hair feels soft, my body is less itchy after the shower, clothes come out cleaner when washed, and water taste great. We got rid of purchasing any water bottles. These guys installed our eco-water softener in 2015. Their plumber did a terrible job installing the connection to our water main and had to return to straighten it out. It still looks terrible but it works, so I guess there's that. I've had service on the unit every year up to and including yesterday. I was away from home when the service guy arrived. By the time I got home he'd finished up with the water softener and was in the process of flushing out our water heater. I was a bit surprised to see him doing something other than the water softener but at the time I was happy to see it. None of the other yearly services had done any work in anything other than the softener. However, all that changed when he handed me the bill. In the previous visits our largest bill had been $232.00. This one topped $600.00. When I looked into it, they charged $144.00 for a simple zinc anode, the most expensive one I could find was $40.00. Also he replaced the water heater drain valve with a 1" bronze valve and charged almost $100.00 for that. The same valve, Home Depot price, is $32.00. These are screw-out, screw-in items. None of this was pre-authorized. They claim my wife gave him the go-ahead, she says she didn't. There was no pre authorization signature for the work. I signed an authorization after I got home but that was after he'd already fine the work. I complained to their manager and was told that they price their work much they same as car mechanics do, from some mystical pricing "book." We all know how that ends up. If you're going to use these guys, get an idea of what it's going to cost ahead of the time. Otherwise it's going to end up a lot more money than you thought. read more

The receptionist explained costs beforehand, and asked many questions so as to be better able to serve our needs.
