I was just introduced to Saint Frank Coffee, this afternoon, and I already love it. My latte was great but the warmth of Tyler and Alyssa was out of this world, especially Alyssa. They were sooo welcoming and friendly, it felt like they were old friends. I mentioned that to Alyssa and she said ALL employees at Saint Frank Coffee are like that, and I believe her. . Went here twice with two different experiences. I had their normal hot latte and that was super good. Proportions were perfect. Got their iced latte the 2nd time around and omg. That was a tall glass of milk. The light colored one is whole milk, and the darker one was with oat milk. They both didn't have a coffee taste so I was super disappointed. Goes without saying this place is just top of the line. Ambiance is great, lots of seating, fancy wood tables, and full on upscale vibe. Coffee is great and staff is always super welcoming and have attention to detail. I always stop in for a bag of freshly roasted beans and doing so gets you a free cup of drip coffee or cold brew. The only thing that is slightly inconvenient is the constantly long line to order. On the bright side once you order you get your drink right away regardless of what you order. It's a solid assembly line operation they got going. Especially in my case when I typically only get a bag of beans to-go I wonder if they could change the system to allow me to forgo the line altogether, that would be a pleasant change. Came here morning of Bay to Breakers! They have a tight ship running. Staff were so sweet and patient. Shop has a lot of open space and is pretty clean. Some little tables and one big communal table. Ice lavender matcha latte was delish! Prefect flavor. I also got the orange cake muffin (gluten free) and the carrot cake muffin with cream cheese filling (gluten free). Both were so good and moist! Saint Frank ended up being the highlight of my most recent SF trip for GDC. I had been meaning to go for years, and it lived up to it. I went to the Folsom St location and, honestly, it was one of the most accessible coffee shops I've been to, especially in SF. Very wheelchair friendly, including a clean bathroom, and the space was big enough that even once it got busy I didn't feel in the way. Also appreciated that it wasn't all high tops and tall seating. Coffee was very good. We did the flight, which was a fun way to taste how differently the same bean could show up. Pastries were good too. Love the coffee here at Saint Frank! It's probably one of my favorite coffee shops in SF and this location is always busy on a weekday or weekend. I love their original latte with their house almond macadamia milk which is delicious and their orange cream latte is a great treat if you're looking for something more unique. I love the natural wood interior as well and there are a good amount of chairs and small tables. I wouldn't say it's a great spot to work from given how busy it can get but definitely a nice location to catch up with friends! read more

I got an Orange Cream Latte with their House Almond Macadamia Milk. The drink was definitely a little pricey, but it tasted amazing! I loved the orange cream flavor that complemented the espresso very well. The milk was also super creamy. I also quite liked the ambiance; the wooden interior, big windows, and high ceilings create a cool vibe. We got a lavender latte and black sesame pastry (forgot the same) 1. Lavender Latte: Really good latte flavor. The lavender syrup tasted home made and very unique. It wasn't the best Lavender Latte I've ever had but it was really high quality and the coffee itself was perfect. 2. Black Sesame Pastry: This was incredible. A coffee lovers dream shop. On our last visit to SF we walked past Saint Frank and wondered what everyone was in line for. We looked at their list of gourmet coffee and thought next trip we need to try this place. Well today was the day. We waited about 10 minutes and tried the Orange Cream Latte, Matcha Latte, ham and cheese croissant and the black sesame Kouign-Aman. Our drinks were delicious but the black sesame Kouign-Aman stole the show. Crispy and flaky outside combined with the sweet and soft inside. The sesame was very tasty and not overly sweet. We came here twice on our vacation which is saying a lot since we usually like to explore all new places and rarely go to the same place twice in one trip. The customer service was great!! Their system works so well, you order your drink first and then you pay at the register and a few moments later or more like seconds later your drink is ready to go :) no waiting around for your drink to come out despite the long lines out the door which is super impressive. Our favorite drink we got was the mocha and our least favorite was the pine latte. DEFINITELY GET THE CHOCOLATE CROISSANT we had it both times we went cause it was that good. Everything was great expect the ham and cheese croissant. The service is excellent. The servers have a genuine interest in being there and are excellent! Great place to hang out and meet your friends but I got a mid drink for $8 and okay service. Long story short, you're only going there if you're new to the city, visiting, or working nearby and wanted to experience elevated cafes. You're not going there for the coffee, I didn't try the food so maybe that's what people are loving. Maybe I had high expectations for this place because it was a recommendation but it felt overpriced for what you get. I got an iced mocha and the house-made milk was the highlight of that drink for only $1.25 extra. Their menu is difficult to understand, they have one little wooden piece with the drinks they offer like lattes and another one that says coffees and just a list of I don't know what they were, probably different beans or brews. But if you're going to make your menus that small there should be multiple copies so we're not all waiting to figure out what we want once we get up to the register, holding up the line, because this is what happened to all 5 parties in front of and including us. So with everyone waiting to even get a glimpse of the menu, needing their questions answered, because literally no one understood this, going through the line took a minute. I also just think with tipping culture at 18% minimum as an expectation now, I'd hope to be treated a little nicer. My friend thought there were two registers going and went up to the person standing right in front of the tablet that takes orders, only for her to rudely say it wasn't open when prompted. If she just said "no, sorry there's only that line," It'd be fine but she had a bit more to add. read more

A great coffee and tea spot while visiting the Embarcadero area in SF. In particular, I love the Spices Pear Cider that is only available during the winter months. They also have a very good black sesame Queen Amon that is super yummy. My partner loves their specialty coffees which are sourced from around the globe.
