I hesitate to write this review. I was contacted by ATC within 5 min of my inquiry with Home Depot. Great start. I agreed to have a sales person come out the next day from 3-5pm. I took a couple of vacation hours to leave early from my job so that I could be there on time. I get a call at 2:45pm from the person being sent over to tell me that he was running late, was still in the valley, (I live in Santa Clarita) and that he would call me when he was close. I didn't get a call until almost 9pm. NOBODY FROM THE OFFICE had called me to update me. So, I'm already annoyed, but still wanting the quote, I accepted and invited him to come over. When he showed up, he was super polite, very apologetic and I relaxed. He walked through my place, took pics, and then we sat down for the quote. I chose the most expensive one. A 2 ton 19 SEER Heat Pump made by Carrier. The quote was for $16,400. It included a crane, a ten year warranty, a smart thermostat, the heat pump and the air handler. I told him that I had to talk to my wife and get back to him. So, we took a day and decided to go ahead. Hindsight, I'm not sure it was the best deal, but I was ready to get this done. The following week, I get a call from Denise while I was in traffic and could not take the call. I called back the next day. The person answering the phone said she was unavailable and took a message. I waited ALL DAY LONG before I called again to offer my payment and get things rolling. Denise was still not in...turned out she had an emergency. They could have told me that before. So, I spoke with another person who took my money and scheduled an install. I was excited. The install was scheduled for Tuesday. I took a vacation day from work to be available for the install. They wanted to send a tech to do a "quick walk thru" on Monday to make sure they had everything they needed. I left work a bit early to be there for him. I didn't hear anything all day. As I'm driving home, I get a call from ATC to tell me Paul was running late but should be there within an hour. Fine. Paul shows up. He's all smiles. He's very polite. Apologetic for the wait and I let him do the walk-thru. He asks me, "Did they schedule a time for tomorrow?" I told him no, but I hope I'm the first one (due to all the people "running late") He tells me he had a quick thermostat to install but it wouldn't take that long. My head went down. Fine. Ok. (not happy but whatever) Then I get a call from Paul to tell me he was sending his guy to start the demolition of my current system (which is working) and then schedule for the install on another day because they didn't have the unit I purchased. "Wait, what?" They had scheduled an install without securing the unit to install. At this point I wanted to talk to someone. It wasn't Paul's fault, but he was the one feeling my heat. I apologized and he was cool the whole time. Again, Paul...sorry dude. He even apologized for not having the unit. It turned out that the unit they were trying to sell me was back ordered by 6 months. SIX WHOLE MONTHS. It's a good thing I told them not to send anyone to demo my system until they had the unit. Two days later, I found out that my unit was back ordered, so I backed out of the deal and they quickly refunded my money. I am surprised that a company that is 40 years old was this bad at communicating anything. Everyone I spoke to was very professional over the phone/in person. They are all very nice, but if I'm going to spend $16,400 I think the level of care should be better than what I got. I didn't feel comfortable anymore. If you do choose to use this company, ask a lot of questions. Make sure they have the unit you are being sold. They may even do a great job installing it as they have had some happy customers posting positive reviews. read more

All Temporatures Controlled, as a Home Depot contractor, performed a ducting replacement for my central air conditioning system from 5/7 to 5/8/24. They did an outstanding job to my complete satisfaction. I give this company a strong recommendation to whoever needs such service. The good story starts with its sales advisor Craig Smith, who are honest and professional, did not give me any pressure to win the business. The service team technicians Bruno and Max also did a remarkable job. They are extremely helpful and attentive to my questions and needs. Today (6/11), the city inspector passed my Reducting project inspection and signed the certificate. Before this, a third party air conditioning pressure test also shows excellent result, indicating no leaks. The technician Kavin, who came to coordinate the city inspection is also professional and helpful. I like all of them and give them my highest praise. read more

Nick I understand about scheduling but the concern I have is that the phone scheduler should take all of that into account. I had called ONE week prior to the tech coming out and I didn't demand they come out right away knowing how busy AC companies are these days. The same thing with the revisit. Originally he suggested Tuesday but I wanted to be sure my call was forced into a schedule that couldn't be achieved. It seems silly from a business stand point that your company would need to come out at the very least 3 times (the 1st time to not fully diagnosis the issue, 2nd time to fully diagnosis the issue and then a 3rd to replace or repair. This seems like extra work for everyone). Your techs are courteous but extra work is costing you. Secondly if you had fully read the review, I stated that I had called and asked for only 2 quotes: One to fix the compressor and 2 to replace the unit knowing there are delays in obtaining parts. It was Thursday and I wanted to be able to order things prior to the weekend. How is that so difficult to get a price on a new compressor and on a new unit? It is July and no one reached out to me via phone or email to say we are working on a quote or we are experiencing delays with supply so we don't know when we can repair it. It was as if we were forgotten about. The fact that you actually wrote a response to my review before I got a quote says a lot. I really wanted to give you my business but how long am I supposed to wait? read more

I had ATC put in a new unit on the roof. I worked with Denise and her manager.They were great! very quick response and were able to find a unit I could afford. no hassle with the install. I have to say I've had issues with the diagnostics with ATC where they replace a part and a day or two later, the unit has the same problem. They come back and tell me that another part is bad. It's happened a couple of times over the years and as recently as a month ago.I don't think they're not trustworthy, I just believe these units are complicated and hard to pinpoint a particular issue. read more

HVAC tech sent does not know how to diagnose problem with a unit.... isn't that why we call an HVAC Tech???

I'm updating my review because after my previous review, the owner of ATC reached out to me to let me know that the equipment that I contracted for was not available. However, he was nice enough to acknowledge my frustration with the lack of communication from his team and offer me a different system that is an upgrade from the one I had at no additional charge. The team that was sent out to install my new HVAC system was professional and did a good job of installing the system, even if one of the installers did accidentally puncture a hole in the bathroom ceiling. To ATC's credit, they immediately acknowledge it and sent out a professional to fix the hole so looks like it never happens. As far as the HVAC system, it is quiet, and efficient and has been working great so far. Despite the initial trouble, I would say I am happy that I stuck ATC for my system rather than going with another company. My one recommendation for ATC is for timelier communication with customers regarding any delays or problems so that they are not left waiting during the hot summer months, especially when there are many other competitors willing to do the work. read more

This company came highly recommended and I contacted them to come to my home to evaluate our broken air conditioner and advise if repairs or a total replacement of the HVAC system would be required. They sent a service technician the next day, he was extremely polite and knowledgeable. After his inspection, he discussed our options and let me know that he would do his best to get a quote to us that evening. We did indeed receive the quote that evening. We exchanged several emails, as my husband and I changed our minds a couple of times on the types and brands of systems we were interested in. The responses we received were almost immediate and we were provided with all of the information we needed to make an informed decision. From beginning to end we found the entire team at ATC to be professional, knowledgeable and friendly. 5 stars are most certainly deserved and I would happily recommend this company to my friends and family, not just yelpers! read more

This company is a scam. Don't do business with them Please if you don't read this whole review DO NOT COME HERE save your self a week of stress and frustration and then after that frustration and stress you will have to spend more time/ money with someone else. Our company called them after receiving a brand new beverage air freezer and the programming is off we called Monday for a appointment and we got a appointment for wed at 11 am, we were trying to get this freezer serviced since Saturday but that's not their fault just frustrating, normally companies that service things take 1-3 days MAX good companies we do business with take 24 hours and not so good ones.. As above. We call and see where they are around 11:30 they tell us they will be here at 1 latest the first appointment is taking longer than expected fine I said as long as it's before 2 as we have a event mind you this is in a food truck so we have rearrange our schedule for them. So we expect you to be on time or 2 hours late maybe? We go to our event luckly it's around the corner and we keep calling they close no one answers finally they come at 5:30 6 1/2 hours past appointment time as we were the 2nd appointment for the day right? NO they pushed us back because our job was "warranty" and they want to make more money so they take more expensive jobs even if you have a appointment you don't matter. Then he comes and he has NO IDEA HOW TO FIX THE ISSUE. After I called 1-2 days before to give them a heads up about the code issue and what it said so they could be prepared. They weren't. To top it off they couldn't reach tech support because they were closed so I ask the guy are u gonna fix its first thing tomorrow oh I don't know. So first the office lies to me all day saying he is still at his first appointment and he's not we are just not important and then the tech guy tells me it's not working because it's "iced over" and there is NO ICE and there wasn't ice because this is a brand new unit and it wasn't even plugged in when this was happening how can ice build up ? How can I know you need it to be cold for ice and you don't? This is sad.... Then we lies and leaves me with a broken freezer I go outside the truck and find he destroyed our wrap why? IDK and I call the next day and the women that answers the phone (Gail) I think is the sweetest person unfortunately she transfers me to I think ( tony) the manger of the service manager that was not in and he was sooooo rude unhelpful would not acknowledge anything that happen and screamed at me after I have been lied to be this business. Please save your self a ulcer and heart attack and money and time and don't come here unless you want to take Gail with you and give her a better job with a company with ethics and morals. After experiencing a very bad tech from a very bad air conditioning company. I was hesitant to blindly call another company. I took a chance with ATC I am so glad that I did. Christian (Chris) the tech from ATC came out the same day I called. He explained everything to me & gave us a quote $300.00 less than the previous company. He changed our filter, reattached the wiring to our thermostat that the previous company had pulled out for no reason. Just a great company all around. We called Sunday morning, and were told that a technician could come out in about 1 hour to fix it! Reckless, unsafe driving. At approximately 7:40 am on July 17, 2019, an All Temperatures Controlled truck was driving recklessly in mid city. The driver needlessly attempted to pass a car that was making an unprotected left turn from Bronson onto Venice -- by passing on the left (in the lane designated for oncoming traffic), then continuing to swerve past other cars. This driver's dangerous behavior reflects poorly on the company. read more

Buckle up Buttercup because this is a story of incompetence on EPIC levels. (Like, could have blown up a building level.) My husband and I bought a new house and needed to have Central air installed. We got a number of quotes, and while All Temp Controlled was NOT the lowest one, we really liked the technician, and they came recommended by a friend, so we felt we'd rather pay a little more for better, more reliable service. And I WILL say, their technicians, and everyone I dealt with on the phone or through email was VERY NICE. Unfortunately, nice doesn't make up for incompetence. We began to set things up, and were told the job would take 2.5 to 3 days. This was fine, because my husband and I had about 2 and a half weeks before our move in day. They worked at the house Monday-Thursday (4 days) and on Thursday they said they were almost done, just needed to hook up the heat, but would need to do it next week as they were booked on another job the next day (Friday.) We still had a week so that wasn't a problem. I assumed someone would contact us over the weekend to set up that last day. That wasn't the case. Finally Monday I reach out to them to try to get this scheduled (after all, I have other things that need to be finished that I can't do until they are done.) They offer up Friday morning, which is the day before we move in. I ask if we can move it earlier, and we do manage to get it set up Thursday morning. It's not ideal, it's cutting everything a little close with the move, but you take what you can get I guess. Thursday comes, they set up the furnace (they were also 2 hours late but if that were the ONLY problem I'd consider myself lucky,) they turn the heat on to test it. My husband mentions it smells a bit like burning, and the tech says that's just the dust burning away. This was common in my husband's old home so he didn't bother to question it. We close up the house and head home. The next morning (the day before we're supposed to move in) it REEKS of gas in the house. My first instinct is to check the thermostat, and the heat was left on. I immediately turn the heat off and call the gas company. I had to cancel the workers scheduled to come in and get the house ready for our move in. The representative had to turn off the gas to the entire house because 1) there was no separate valve shut off for just the furnace, and 2) because the leak was very dangerous. This meant not just no heat (which wasn't a big deal as it was August) but it also meant no stove and NO HOT WATER. The gas technician also mentioned that he was surprised the gas leak wasn't caught right away as it was obvious enough that he could hear the hissing from the leak without even having to use any tools. He also mentioned that the set up was not to code because there was no catwalk installed. Which is exceptionally amusing since I was PAYING All Temp Controlled to install a unit up to code and permitted, AND a catwalk was explicitly included in the estimate. It's still Friday morning, so I reach out to All Temp Controlled to tell them what's happened and ask someone to come out and fix it. Apparently they are all booked up on other jobs all day and can't possibly get anyone out to the house until Monday. I explain we are supposed to move EARLY the NEXT MORNING. That we were supposed to be living there and we already hired movers. I am then told a technician can come by afterwards, but it won't be until 5 or 6. I say that's fine, my husband and I have furniture to build so we'll do that while we wait. 7 pm comes along, and I know that the office is closed, but it's the only number I have. So I call the office. I use the emergency extension (where they guarantee you will receive a response in 15 minutes) to leave a message asking if anyone is even coming, because we had been waiting at the house for 2 hours and no one had shown. We had built all the furniture and were just wasting time we could have been using packing. No one calls back. We email at 8 pm to explain we could only assume no one was coming and that we were leaving. We received an email the next day apologizing for the inconvenience, that the technicians cell phone had died (?) and that the tech was now going to be out of town all weekend so he wouldn't be able to come until Monday Morning. At this point they also tell me that I will be compensated for my time and my trouble. I tried calling an emergency tech to come out and fix the problem, but unfortunately they were unable to do so. Because it was weekend service, that cost me 500.00. I just really wanted hot water. SO AFTER ALL THIS, HOW MUCH MONEY DID THEY GET APPROVED TO COMPENSATE ME? Well, they made me wait almost a month to get a number, so I assumed it would be a decent one. ... 150.00. Yup. Not even 3% of the total job. Not even half of what I paid for the emergency tech. It's less than the fee they charge if you pay them with a credit card! Please, for your safety, don't use them. read more

This company did an excellent job installing a mini-split system for our IT closet in our office. They were flexible with our business hours and came in on budget. Also, the follow-up after the installation to make sure everything was working perfectly was outstanding. I would highly recommend them for both residential and commercial projects. ATC had great customer service. From their technicians to the people I spoke to over the phone. The job did take a few days longer than expected, but they were able to resolve the issue and offered a discount for it taking longer than anticipated. It seemed like it was out of their control with a certain part in my system needing to be reordered as the one they placed first malfunctioned. My calls were answered and returned in a timely manner, and Roger even contacted me through his personal phone to give me text updates on the details. Have used this company for years but I'm done. They installed a compressor unit that lasted 4 years. They failed to mention that it needed more ventilation so it wouldn't over heat. When they came and fixed the fan they over tightened the screws and stripped them. Now they gave me a 2,100 estimate to replace the 670 compressor. That's a lot work hours to swap one out. And if you don't live in Chattsworth you are paying a 100 an hour to drive to your location. Don't have a women make the call or be their to show the problem, they seem to see that as a way to increase the bill. Will never use them again. By the way I found 2 other companies who's estimates were right around 1000. read more

This company is terrible and a sham. They didn't repair my AC and tried to gouge me on the price because of the recent heatwave. The tech was young and inexperienced. I was quoted 125.00 for a diagnostic service. The tech could not figure out the problem, he was there for 40 minutes, and then wanted 285.00. I told him I would only pay 125.00, which was too much, but that's the price I agreed to. The owner, a lying thief said, his company was very busy and time is money. He first tried to say his tech was there for an hour and a half. LIE number one! Then he said he replaced the fuses, I replaced the fuses two days before his tech came over. LIE number two! Then he said my fuses were bad! LIE number three. I took them back to Home Depot and they tested them for me. They were fine! Companies like this are a total disgrace, ripping off people when they are desperate. Please, please do not use this company. If you do, you will regret it big time! read more

With the ac on the fritz, it climbing well past 90 outside and a stale 89 inside, my wife, the cat and I sat in the running car in the garage (door open of course) just to cool down. I searched for an hvac repair company and found All Temperature Control to see if they could help. It was Sunday and I didn't hold out too much hope that I could get someone out same day, but I was very pleasantly surprised that they had someone out to me in 2 hours. Another 2 hours later and it's already dropped 10 degrees and still falling! Pablo was so nice to come out on a Sunday, he did great and through work, and I would most definitely be calling All Temperature Control again if we ever have any more problems.
