While under, he noticed some water and after testing, concluded that it was probably from the flood the night before. He also advised us on a few other issues and offered us to text with questions. He then showed us how to check our water pressure(which was high and likely contributed to the flood). He gave an estimate to install a regulator, which we accepted. While doing that job, he graciously helped with another item we were trying to fix inside and wound up saving us a lot of hassle and money (it turns out we don't need the parts purchased, so those will be going back). Nant again advised on a few other items we can probably repair ourselves, but it looks like we've found our go-to plumber for the future!

Ultimately, we had the house repiped and I didn't need the service. Ron was super communicative up until the day before the appointment. Unfortunately, amidst all the chaos of a plumbing repipe, I cancelled the appointment late and understandably so, Ron seemed a bit upset. I don't blame him, and understand his position. Although I called before his business opened, he called me back instantly. I explained the issue I was having with my tankless hot water heater. He asked me to send him a picture with the model # and serial # so he could call the company to see what would be cover under warranty. He showed up right on time. He explained to me problems that could arise and what was and wasn't covered with the current warranty. After speaking with him and weighing my options, it seemed like it was in my best interest to replace the unit. He gave me the option of purchasing it myself or getting it through him and broke down the prices. He also suggested I add a water filtration system. The one he recommended, was the exact one I had installed and then removed a couple years ago because I was having problems with it. I was a little overwhelmed with the cost but felt it was reasonable if I had to replace the whole unit which I had not planned on. He told me to think about it and get back to him with my decision. As Caesar was leaving, I asked him if he could remove the canister for my water filtration system, on the opposite side of the house so I could change the filter. I told him all my pipes were rattling when I flushed the toilet and I thought it was from the filter needing to be replaced. Unfortunately he wasn't able to get the canister off. He suggested I replace the water filtration system as well, replace the regulator valve and move the water heater expansion tank. Now I was completely overwhelmed. As he was standing there explaining things to me, he noticed a yellow handle in the off position. He said it was the gas shut off lever and asked if I had turned off the gas. I told him may have moved the lever a couple days ago when I tried to take off the canister. He turned the lever to the on position and said to check if I now had hot water. I did. He spent well over an hour at my house and never asked for a dime. I think at the very least, anyone else would have charged at least a service charge. Even though he made several recommendations of things I needed to have done, that were not going to be cheap to fix, I feel confident that he is trustworthy. I think I will need to do some of the work he recommended, but now I can do it in my time frame and it will give me a chance to save for the repairs.
