I have used Pacific Coast Copper Repipe over the past 10 years to repipe my home and most of our rental units. They show up on time and get the job done in one day. The drywall patching comes after the city inspection. We have mostly used copper but recently switched to plastic. The quality of the work has always been great and the price is not the cheapest, but it is in-line with other quality plumbers. Was easy to schedule an appointment for a quote, Doug was on time and answered all of my questions. Scheduling the job was easy too, Repipers were all here and ready to work at 8am. They covered everything in sheets and plastic and Repiped the entire 2900sq ft house and cleaned up and were gone by 4pm. Next day the dry wall crew was ready by 8am and again covered everything in protective sheets and plastic and closed, mudded and textured 60+ holes and were cleaned up and gone by 530. They stand by their warranty. We engaged Pacific Coast for a whole-house repipe in July 2013. It's now Sept 2025, and we found a small drip. I talked to the owner and he sent out a plumber within 2 hours and the defective pipe was replaced. I am more than impressed with their service. read more

The guys who did the plumbing part were great, completed the job in a day and cleaned up well after they finished. 5 stars for that part. Romero (yes, just one guy) came to patch and texture 65 holes. He was supposed to arrive between 8am and 8:30am but was knocking on my door by 7:30am! He was a very hard worker but it took him 2 days of working 12 or 13-hour shifts. The reason for the 3 stars is the texturing. It is awful! Nowhere did it match the existing texture--especially on the ceiling where it just looks "patched." The attached photos show the poor texture matching. read more

$39,800 complete copper re-pipe done in 2005 for an apartment building. Had it done all "K" just to be sure. After the job was done I told the foreman I will be checking under the crawlspace for proper installation (he didn't think I would actually do it and said he double and triple checked it. Went under and found at least 15 areas where there was no tape around the pipes where the steel strap pipe hangers are and other places where they touched cast iron drain pipes. Fast forward today, I hear a hissing sound under the building. My nightmare was true, one of the NEW copper pipes burst a serious leak (see picture). This was the exact reason why I re-piped the building. Constant burst pipes and clamping of them. What the true irony is that I had to now do the same thing as I hated so much. And the true crazy part is I took the clamp off an old abandon copper pipe next to where the leaking one was! Well at least I had one because I didn't have any clamps with me. I was able to clamp it after several attempts as it was in the elbow fitting. While I was down there, I looked around again and notice several pipes that I missed the first time where there was a steel strap and not tape used around the pipe. I guess I missed it when I inspected the work and found all the other issues. I also see lots of green crusty stuff which is oxidation when they don't wipe the flux off the pipe after soldering. VERY FRUSTRATING... they did give me a ten year warranty that's true. But pipes are supposed to last the lifetime of the building. After the job was done I found out that there are companies out there that actually give a lifetime warranty. Just poor workmanship all around, and although they don't do copper these days I would question any work they do. read more

I got several estimates for my Repipe and everyone promises the moon and then I got one from Douglas from Pacific Coast and could tell right away he wasn't a packer of words, but a real professional company so I went with him and his company! To do a complete Repipe in 1 day was amazing with 4 workers working like a fine tooth clock is how they do it, and the next day they had 3 workers cover and drywall the holes was amazingly done in 1 day and so well match and I have a hard to match texture! We highly recommend Pacific Coast Copper Repipe ("PCCR", Douglas Adair) for a whole house PEX re-pipe job. Subsequent to our 2nd or 3rd slab leak we knew we had to repipe the house. Douglas Adair of PCCR met or exceeded all of our expectations. The repipe job was completed in a day. The work crew, Alejandro, Alfredo & Team were experienced, did quality work and cleaned up the work area exceptionally well. After the city inspector reviewed the work, the wall patch team, came in the next day and repaired all the holes in the walls. Rigo & crew were amazing. We voluntarily decided to re-pipe our home since several of our friends experienced slab leaks in the past year and our home was built in 1979. I always get a least 4 quotes for any work done in our home. Doug at Pacific Coast Repipe was so nice and professional. He provided great information to educate me on what is entailed for a re-pipe. He had the best prices and great reviews on BBB. The day of the re-pipe a 5 man crew showed up on time, were friendly and extremely professional. They covered everything up and were done in a timely manner. It was a bit dusty which is to be expected however, they did such a great job covering up items and cleaning up it wasn't that messy. They scheduled the city permit inspection for the next business day. On the third day the drywall was completed. He was here for 12 hours and his hard worked showed. The job also included texturing the walls. We were hoping the texturing would match and it did!! He did any incredible job. I would highly recommend this company for re-piping. We had this company Repipe our home several years back. Beware, they will cut corners where possible if they feel you will never discover the poor workmanship. We are remodeling our kitchen so imagine our surprise when the kitchen was demoed and the contractor discovered that instead of properly repairing the wire mesh and stucco they removed to install new copper pipe they inserted drywall instead and applied stucco over it. Given the kitchen it's probably safe to assume all other areas accessed through stucco from the outside have similarly poor workmanship. How much did they really save cutting these corners....? Now we're left wondering where else they cut corners. I would avoid this company. Pictures below. read more

Another job done well by PCCR. Five star rating for both Jesse (plumber team) and Rico (wall patcher team.) We had a slab leak and decided to repipe after hearing my sister's high praise and Doug's explanation over phone (Doug the owner.) Plumber team showed up at 8am and wrapped up at 2:30pm (2-storied townhome 1800sf.) Wall patcher team showed up at 7:15am and packed up at 3pm. Very quality and effective job way beyond expectation. Man, am I glad a friend referred me to this company. I had a slab leak at my house, and the first company that came to give me an estimate to re-pipe the place quoted $12K, THEN upped it to $20k. This is for the typical 3bed 2bath 1400 sq ft single story SFR in OC. Luckily, a friend told me about Pacific Coast. They quoted me "around" $5k over the phone. Then the owner came to look at my house and the final quote was just under $5k. The work got done fast, the quality of the work is very high, and the crew totally patched up and cleaned up. We just moved into our home six months ago and discovered a slab leak in our downstairs bathroom shortly after the move. We received quotes from a few different companies to re-pipe the house to avoid any future water damage since majority of the neighborhood has experienced it. Pacific Coast was not only the most cost effective, but working with Doug made things very organized, seamless and quick. This process took a total of 3 days, 1 day for them to cut holes in the walls, and 2 days to patch up the walls. UPBEWARE THIS COMPANY DOES NOT RETURN CALLS AFTER THE REPIPE. Ours repipe was done in 2015, they put in the laundry valves were put in upside down, said they would come back and fix this issue and never did. They tried to ll me because the plex came from the attic down the walls....seriously? The laundry valve broke off, upside down and I called pacific coast 3 x's and still no call back. All the water is shut off on the house and my mom is 90 years old and not to have any customer service is unacceptable.DO UPDATE: Plumber never came to fix issue. I hired an outside company and the valves they replaced from Pacific Coast Copper Repipe were of THE lowest quality. I question the rest of the house and the products they put inside. If I have to hire someone else to come out then I can only suggest you look elsewhere for your repipe. Five stars isn't even enough! After discovering our parents' home under water from a leak in the kitchen wall, we asked neighbors and friends for recommendations of a plumber or repiping company. Pacific Coast Copper Repipe was highly recommended and we couldn't be more enthusiastic about endorsing Doug Adair and this great company. Unlike other companies, which give you a window of time when someone may or may not decide to show up, Doug said he would be there by 8 a.m. and actually arrived early! He walked us through the whole home, gave us options, and most of all, spoke with us in a way that put us immediately at ease. Rather than use jargon which would make us feel as if we had no clue what the scope of the work would be or give us a vague estimate that left room for unexpected additional expenses, Doug clearly provided all the information we needed and swiftly emailed an estimate for us to look over and make our decision. His repipe crew was also very professional and efficient, arriving a little early and finishing before mid-afternoon. Barbara, in the office, was great about keeping us posted on what we needed to do for preparation and narrowing down the time the city inspector would arrive. Our only not-so-stellar review would be with the drywall re-patch crew which arrived late and seemed more interested in the view out back than in finishing up. We had a slab leak over the holiday season. It was our second one in a little over 3 years, very frustrating!!!! I called around, got a few estimates and word of mouth referrals, and in the end after meeting with Doug we decided on PCCR. Doug walked us through the process of the repipe from beginning to end. He told of our options, and we came to the decision of a whole house repipe in PEX. We set an appointment less than 7 days out that worked for his crew and my schedule. His guys were the best. They were on time, clean, made sure to cover up the necessities and kept the dust, which we were told about, to a minimum. After the initial piping work, the drywallers came out and patched textured the day after the inspector. They did an excellent job with the patchwork. It's top notch and cannot even tell where the holes were cut! Barbera in the front office was very good at communicating with myself and the foreman. NOT HAPPY WITH PACIFIC COAST REPIPE ! Hired Pacific Coast Repipe to install new copper pipe in my home. They gave a very impressive presentation. I received a quote shortly after. Their price quote was not the lowest or highest. They started work as planned and completed the job ahead of schedule. The City Inspector came and he DID NOT APPROVE THE WORK. The contractor (Pac Coast Repipe) had to return and finish the job of insulating all hot water pipes in the house and provide pictures of work performed before they would issue final city permits. I notified Pac Coast Repipe right away about the city inspector report, plus these other problems listed below. PROBLEM #1- Return to house & insulate all the house hot water pipes. PROBLEM #2- Nobody returning my call regarding questions I had about the shower pressure. PROBLEM #3- Needed pictures for the city inspector to show proof that work was completed. The Lack of pictures was holding up final city permits. PROBLEM #4- Fix the hanging vent cover from the newly installed hot water heater. PROBLEM #5- The crew left trash in driveway and inside hot water heater enclosure. They left sharp broken pieces of pipe and a faucet in flower beds. The next day a worker returned and insulated all the hot water pipes and took pictures, but was unable to answer questions regarding the other problems above because he said he did not speak English. I Called their office and again explain problems and then another guy came that understood English and fixed the vent and answered shower pressure question.   I noticed that all the old pipes were still under the house. I called Owner, Doug Adair and asked why old pipes were still there. He told me to read the contract fine print that says in part" The old existing piping removed when contractor deems necessary". That seemed unprofessional to me, but YES it was in their contract plus lots of other details that I or a lawyer should have read more carefully before I signed their contract. In summary - 14 DAYS to get completed. April 1, 2015 Work started -- April 14, 2015 Job completed, received pictures and City re-inspected with a final permit approval. read more

We had 3 pipe leaks in the past 2 years and decided to repipe the entire house with pex. Also, our water heater needed to be replaced. Thank Goodness our neighbor referred us Pacific Coast Copper Repipe. Other two companies quoted 13k for 4 bed 2 bath 2600 sqft home including patch and paint, but not including a water heater. Pacific Coast Copper Repipe did it for $7600 including patch and installation of a brand new water heater. They don't offer paint but not a big deal. They completed the repipe in just under 8 hours. The city inspector came next day, got a green light and their patch crew of 5 came next day to finish the job. The entire crew was very efficient, respectful and patching quality was excellent. They were able to configure the pipes without breaking any existing tile work, which was critical to us. We're very happy we hired Pacific Coast Copper Repipe. Thank you! read more

Even the building inspector commented on the quality and that he liked how they handled some of the more challenging aspects of the job. They finished the repipe and had the water back on at the end of one day as promised. The job passed inspection with no issues. The patch crew showed up the following day and did a very clean job of patching the holes. They matched the stucco amazingly well. The thought of a repipe was horrifying for me. Had 2 slab leaks in 2 years and on the second, figured it was time. I got quote from 5 companies. Doug spoke in layman's terms and pointed out several things the other firms didn't mention. They were not the lowest bid nor the highest. They showed up early, shut off water at 8, had it back on by 4. Inspector came the next day and said 'they do good work'. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! About a year ago, we spent thousands of dollars and had Pacific Coast Copper Repipe do the job. Aside from leaving a huge mess and lots of trash in our addict area, they screwed up our water pressure. Every time we turn on the water in one section of the house, we lose over 50% pressure in other areas of the house. You can not even shower, if someone is watering the trees, etc. We made several attempts to have Pacific Coast Repipe to come out and correct this problem to no avail. They took our money and refused to fix the problem. Even after posting our prior review, no one from the company attempted to contact us to make this right. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PACIFIC COAST COPPER REPIPE TO OUR ENEMIES. read more

They appeared to do a good job and price was competitive except for two things: Worst was not attaching the water lines to the master bath tub and they refused to correct it saying they didn't know how to make that connection. Think the real reason was what one of the other workers told me - the guy working that section of the house has claustrophobia. Had to hire another plumber to make the connection and somebody else to cut a hole to reach the work and repair the hole. The first time it was used it leaked through the floor into the living room below. They also didn't plug all of the holes in the wallboard. read more

Pacific Coast Copper Repipe just completed another PEX repipe for a typical 3-bedroom 2-bath rental home. As with their six previous jobs, they were very efficient and had the entire job completed in about 6 hours. It would have be wonderful if the permit inspection process were equally quick. Unfortunately, as anyone who has had to wait for building and safety inspectors knows, it can be an all day wait for them to do a 10 minute inspection. We ended up with 3 slab leaks and my plumber recommended these guys. I wasn't sure what to expect since I had never had this experience. Doug came out and gave me the estimate with options. The guys showed up to do the repipe and got it done in less than a day. The patch crew came in and made it look like no holes were ever cut into the walls. I am very impressed with the professional staff PCCP has and have already recommended them to a number of people I know. I will be very comfortable recommending them to anyone who has this need. These guys are good! We experienced a slab leak. Time was of the essence since we already had a lot of drywall opened up and it offered great access for a Pex repipe. Doug came out and spent over an hour going over each detail with my wife and explained exactly how they would perform the repipe. The tech, David, showed up the day after we agreed to the proposal with three other guys to get the job done. He suggested a better alternative for running one line. They completed the project in one day. Kudos to the entire team. Highly recommend. We manage property in West Los Angeles. A copper re-pipe was planned on behalf of a client who owns a building in Beverly Hills. We went through the process of getting several estimates, & decided on Pacific Coast. A pre-project walk through was arranged, we posted the building with our notices letting tenants know that the work was scheduled, and what we needed tenants to do to prepare for the project. It was requested if there was anything specific that the Pacific Coast needed, that they also post and communicate with the tenants directly since they would be in their homes. This was not done, the job took several days longer than was planned due to the City's lag in scheduling and a Federal Holiday, but the extent of the project exceeded what was communicated to us, or to the tenants, several items were broken at the property. The tenants personal belongings were not respected, and the apartments were left very dirty, beyond the level of cleanliness of what was communicated. The foreman didn't oversee the project, there was little to no communication from the company. The entire project cost the owner of the property far in excess of the actual re-pipe due to negligence on the part of the vendor. Dry cleaning, hotel bills, cleaning, rent abatement, etc. I will not use this company again, and warn others to look into references and so on. read more
