I hate to be that cliche person to say I would leave zero stars if I could...but I absolutely would!! This shop is absolutely horrible, and I hope I can save some people the time and aggravation we went through. Where do I start..and I hope everyone considering this place takes the time to read my full review: I brought my car in before Christmas because the driver's window was not going down. My husband and I told Josh (employee at the desk) that we already replaced the motor and the switch. We left it and had it diagnosed and he said it was in fact the motor (on top of other items they were trying to get money for.) I thought it wasn't a big deal, maybe the one we bought was faulty. He said to pick the car up and he will order the parts. I then find out in order to use my warranty I need to wait for an inspection. So, I dropped it off on the 18th of Jan and he told me 24-48 hours. The inspector didn't show up until a week later. After a full week of waiting and me calling because Josh couldn't bother to pick up the phone, he said he needs to order parts..which didn't make sense because he said they were already ordered. So, I wait and wait some more, and he finally calls to say, "sorry. it isn't the motor" (not a shock because we already replaced that) and he will call back that night. Well, he didn't call until the next day and said it was the switch which he ordered and will arrive by Feb 2nd or 3rd. Im very annoyed at this point. I already told him we replaced both of those and it wasnt working. He then says in order to pick up my car I need to pay for the work..before it was even done!! So now my husband is pissed and on Jan 29th we drove down there. He said the tech incorrectly diagnosed the car which was frustrating because my car was sitting there for the incorrect part to come in! He said to release the car we need to pay for the full amount and then bring it back for the part to come in. Essentially, he was holding my car hostage, and I did not give him the approval to order the part! We asked to speak with the owner, who as other people left in reviews, "not in". So, I asked to call him and conventionally enough, he was out of the country. We asked for the manager and sure enough, Josh, claimed he was the manager. We finally had all we could we with this shop and said to cancel the order and we are taking the car now. So, my car was sitting at this shop for two full weeks, and the job was never completed. I hope someone finds this review useful and they think twice. Communication is horrible, I had to call to check on my vehicle, they never bothered to reach out to me, they misdiagnosed it and tried to hold my property until I paid for work that was not complete. At first great, then find out they totally screwed me, wrong fluid in transmission 2003 Mercedes e500, payed 1200 or 1300 for catalytic converter, took pieces and just slapped it on, totally rigged up, put aromatic shocks on , almost 6 grand, squeaking all the time, catalytic converter is a fucking joke, almost 10 grand to these guys, give 1 year warranty on everything, unfortunately for me I trusted them found out later how deceitful they were, do not go there read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Allied auto. Every step of the process is absolutely fluid. The customer service no matter who I speak to is patient, kind and very informative. I got multiple quotes before I took my personal vehicle there. We have brought our work vehicles there for some time and I was impressed but wanted to make sure the price point was fair when I brought my own vehicle. Not only was it the lowest quote but their steps of service are phenomenal. From the moment you drop your car off, you will get text updates with the estimate as they are inspecting the vehicle. This company is the absolute worst. Jim claims to have 40 years of experience, yet he & the other mechanics couldn't fully diagnose the issues with my car. When I pointed out that the traction control light and other warning lights were still on, he casually said, "sorry, I guess we missed that." They're a AAA-trusted company but the same day I got my car back, it had several issues. When I asked about their diagnostic process, Jim said it was just based on the issues I mentioned and a quick visual inspection. The A/C still doesn't work and the car dangerously pulls to the right when I turn left. They didn't report any of the warning lights or alignment issues, even though the steering wheel was visibly off & other visibility issues. Another mechanic told me the car wasn't safe to drive, which contradicts their claim that it was "good to go." To top it off, they tried to charge me $130 in labor just to change the battery- something AutoZone does for free! The total cost for the battery replacement came out to nearly $350, $130 of which is labor- that's absurd! read more

I took my car in on Wednesday for repair for differential noise and left with paint scratches and other things. I put a lot of money in my car for me to not get it back the same way. I brought it to the attention of the staff and he couldn't figure out how it got there but it certainly wasn't there when I dropped it off. I had a six cylinder mustang rebuilt next door to Allied. $3,200. Allied removed it for Red.October 26 the engine was done and handed over to Allied. I was verbally quoted by Jim at $1,800 out and back in. December 30th I was asked to pay so they could close out the books on the year. I did not once I saw the charge was $3,800 and some extras and the job is not finished yet. Told Jim no payment till it's done. I always was the one calling. This is a 12 hour job out and back in. My truck broke down on a trip from Sedona to California. Allied Service Center worked with me to get my truck with a cab over camper in to their secure parking area right at the end of the day on a Friday. I was so disappointed with taking my car to Allied in Dec. 2024. I went to them because they are a AAA recommended garage. AAA should be embarrassed to recommend them. I understand my car is older and needs work but their charges were astronomical! The first repair they changed me $3,700+, mostly labor. I told them when I dropped it off I was on a fixed income and that was all I had. They really didn't care. Offered no discounts for seniors (I asked) and only $75 for a AAA discount. When I picked up car, they gave me another estimate for more work for another $1,200+!! I told John I already paid them every dime I had. He just smuggly looked at me and said 'I guess you'll have to save up'. I again told him 'how? I already told you I'm on a fixed income'. Their whole attitude was 'we don't care'. Took my car to another shop, they did the work for less than half the cost Allied wanted/estimated. I bought a Napa battery from them 2 yrs ago. I got an oil change at a different place a month ago and during the service they tested the battery and said it needed replaced. Knowing it was still under warranty I went back to Allied, told them about it, and they tested the battery. They said it was fine and sent me on my way. Yesterday the car wouldn't start. After a jump start from a tow truck and 2 Lyft rides later, Allied replaced the battery on warranty. Would have been less expensive and inconvienient had they just replaced the battery the first time. I won't be going back. read more

If i could give less than one star, I would. We took our 68 Camaro to get some upgraded disc brakes. After two months of working on the car, when we got it back, the wheel fell off within a mile of the shop. After getting it towed back and working on it for another month, the brakes locked up. After taking the vehicle back and having it for another three weeks, we found out that the brakes have been put on wrong. We ended up taking the car to another mechanic who told us the brake pads were the wrong size, the wheel bearings were damaged, cheap parts had been used when we had paid for the upgraded parts. we are paying more to have the damage they caused fix then if they just would've done the job correctly the first time. would highly recommend never taking any vehicle to the shop. One star for the friendly greeting that they gave me, and one star for the nice lady who gave me the courtesy ride while they looked at my car. I went in there today to get my (free estimate) for them to do some suspension work on my Audi. The free estimate ended up being a $90.00 estimate. The people in there were quite friendly and helpful, but I feel like they put the old hustle on me. As you can see on the invoice, they wrote down exactly what I asked them to do. I asked them to give me a price on doing the work on the suspension. I didn't want or need anything other than that. The man who was checking me in handed me a pen and an invoice and he asked me to sign it thereby granting them authorization to look at my car. Okay fine ! No problem ! So I thought ! But later on it did become a problem. After my having balked at the $2,500.00 price tag that they wanted to charge me to do everything that they suggested, as I did at the financing that they wanted to sell me as well, they informed me of the $90.00 charge for the "Vehicle Checkup." Which I understand is worth something to someone who needs one, but to me it was worth nothing because it told me nothing that I didn't already know, considering the fact that I had already had an inspection last week. That's how I knew about all the things that were wrong with my car. I was going to tip them anyway for the courtesy and one for the lady who drove me. The man became visibly irritated when questioned about the charge. He did explain in no uncertain terms,the difference between an estimate and an inspection. In February, we had several things on our SUV repaired at this location, including the driver door lock. We initially thought everything was great because we used the key fob to remotely open the door. But as soon as we tried to open the door with a key, the alarm goes off-- which is something that certainly never happened before the repair, and should not be happening now. When we took the SUV back to have Allied fix what they had miswired, they refused to honor their so-called NAPA lifetime warranty, and told us it wasn't covered. Instead, they offered to charge us an additional amount to inspect and fix a problem with their handiwork. It is absurd to make us pay for this. Surprisingly, a month after the repair, an employee from Allied called us and asked us how our experience was. After explaining the situation to him again, he assured us that he would check in and call us back. He never did. We are changing our review to 1 star, because we can't give Allied 0 stars on Yelp. We highly recommend that you avoid this business. If you've already had a problem with this business, consider writing a letter to NAPA AutoCare's corporate office. read more

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. THEY ARE A COMPLETE RIPOFF and have no clue what they are doing! I was referred to them by Jeff 's Automotive and Truck Repair. Here is the reader's digest version of what happened. I took my motor home in with three identified problems 1) the auto park light was on; 2) there was fluid leaking from the underside of the rig; and 3) the vehicle would intermittently not move when in reverse. THEY diagnosed the problem as a faulty auto park hydraulic pump and also said the auto park brake shoes had become saturated with brake fluid and needed to be replaced. They quoted me a price to replace. Assuming they knew what they were doing, I accepted their diagnosis and quote, paid a deposit and the parts were ordered. Once the repairs were completed, I picked my motor home up. WithIn two hours of getting it back to the campground I noticed a pool of brake fluid accumulating under the rig in the exact same place it had been leaking previously. I called Allied the next morning and spoke to Jim the Shop Manager. He acknowledged that this was unacceptable and suggested I bring the motor home back in for inspection. As I was leaving the camp ground, the rig once again would not move when placed in gear. After driving about two miles, smoke began pouring out from under the motor home, and there was a strong burning smell. I called Jim and let him know what was going on and asked if it was safe to continue the additional 5-6 miles to get to Allied. He said he would send out a technician, which he did. The technician said I'd need to bring the rig to the shop, as it wasn't something he could fix in the field. This is where it gets interesting. I spoke with Jim the Shop Manager and asked if Allied would assist me in getting the rig to the shop. He said it was not Allied's responsibility. Despite my appeals that the reason for the tow was Allied's failure to perform the repairs correctly, he refused to budge citing their past practice of not paying for tows. He said he was the shop manager and there was no one else to whom I could appeal. With no other options, I had the rig towed. The next day, Daniel advised me that upon review, they an additional part needed to be replaced. It would cost an additional $300, but they would not charge me for labor to install it. He said it would take a week for it to arrive. With no other options, I booked additional nights in a hotel. On the day the part was to arrive Daniel advised me that the vehicle was "fixed." He said they had discovered the part wasn't the problem after all and instead it was a short in the wire connecting to the auto park system. It would have been nice if they had discovered this when I took the vehicle to the shop originally (or before they mistakenly re-diagnosed the problem as a faulty solenoid that we wasted a week waiting for). When I picked the rig up, I asked him what kind of consideration I might receive for my troubles (literally thousands that I paid them in labor charges, the cost of a tow to their facility, and more than a week of hotel expenses). With a straight face, he informed me that they had "skin in the game too." He said that a technician had been working on my rig to try to resolve the problems and they had to eat the $53 an hour in wages they would have paid him (although they were charging me $250 an hour). He said that the brakes seizing to the drum was unrelated to the original problems I had brought the vehicle in for - although they had JUST worked on the very SAME components. Instead, he chalked it up to the age of my rig. I got the rig home and guess what? You guessed it. There are still drops of brake fluid leaking from the exact same spot (and the Auto Park light is still on. So essentially, I am out literally thousands in repair costs, hotel expenses, tows that were the direct result of Allied's incompetence and I have nothing to show for it, nor did they take ANY responsibility. I'm sure they'll offer a rebuttal, but pay attention to the growing number of one star reviews. read more

Before I left the shop with my car, Jim Robbins signed a statement confirming they would refund my money and promised to call me the next day to do that because the crooked owner Mike was not around to "enter the code". Of course they never called me. I called twice, was given the same crap both times - "Mike is not in and he will call you when he does get in". No call of course. I called this morning, spoke with the crook Jim Robbins who now says that they will not refund my money because they offered to fix the car. When I explained that I would not trust these incompetents to work on my skate board, Jim got nasty and said they would not refund my money. Fortunately I paid with a credit card and can stop the payment that way. Also filing complaint with the DMV and the AAA. STAY AWAY FROM THESE RIP OFF ARTISTS - THEY NEED TO BE OUT OF BUSINESS!!!! So the owner finally comes out of hiding with a bunch of double speak. I have a signed statement saying my money will be refunded. Instead, Mike wants me to bring the car back to they can make it worse. Refund my money and you will be done with me. And by the way, you never told me the fan clutch is bad, that is a lie. read more

I used to really like this place for my car services until today. I don't know who the guy at the counter was but not only was he rude, he tried to charge me $500 for a service my car didn't even need. Because I am a female? My dad is also an auto mechanic and I know I didn't need all these "services" he was talking about because I also called Mercedes and they said my car did not need anything else other than a regular service A( oil change) Also, with this whole covid-19 they claim they can pick up your vehicle and drop it off for you. Didn't offer when I called to make an appointment. When I asked about the service he was hesitant and said if needed they can arrange someone to "pick you up" mind you the sign says they can have the vehicle delivered. When they called for vehicle to be picked up, I asked about the service and they said they would send Somebody to come and get me. Sweet girl picked me up and that's that. When I arrived the same guy was on the phone so I courteous to take a seat and wait, but then another customer walks in and help him first. At this point I'm irritated and ask to pay and leave. Bottom line is they have lost a customer. Today my oil change might have only been $75 and not the $500 you wanted out of me, but I have done my usual services of $300 and I will no longer be coming back. read more

First off, I'm a first time car owner so I don't know exactly everything that comes with getting a car fixed but I've always heard about how annoying it is to deal with mechanics who screw you over. Fortunately i didn't get any of that from allied service. i went to Meineke over some problems with my battery on a 09' Jeep Wrangler; and it somehow ended up being over 250+ just for them to change the battery out and replace some wires that caused my headlights to short. I felt like that just didn't make sense. my dad recommended me to go here and after an half an hour they came back with what was really going on and how to fix it. After all the work and labor it was way less, took much less time, and they actually didn't make me feel bad for not knowing every little thing about cars. They were really kind to me and i don't think i even expected that from a garage. all i know is that they will treat you right and fair. for me that's all i can ask for and i know i'll be coming back incase i need anything else done. read more

In January, we took our beloved 1996 4Runner into them for radiator change. They suggested to also do the head gaskets. We didn't want to at the time, but thought "we should do this right", and our $600 dollar repair job became a $3,400 job. They called us at the end of the week to inform us that the head gaskets could not be repaired, and that we now needed an engine rebuild. We were shocked that the cost of the engine rebuild was $9,000. We asked if they could just put the truck back together and we will come get it. They said that we could come grab the truck, but the engine could not be put back together, and it was not driveable. So, we could pay for the work they had done, and now have a truck that is in worse shape, or we could pay $9,000 for it to be repaired. Being upset, we contacted Mile Dahl, the owner of Allied, and told him how upset we were. He said to give him a few days to see what he could do. Long story short-ish, he found a "new" engine in New York that came from Japan with 60,000 miles. With everything said and done it would cost us $5,400 to have it sent here and for them to put it in. We agreed even though our $600 job was now $5,400. On February 21, 2020, they called us to say the truck was ready. My husband got called into work, and my son was on a date, so I took the shuttle they offered and picked it up myself. I went in, paid and asked how the engine looked. "It was the prettiest, cleanest, engine I'd ever seen." That's what Ryan said. I asked if I need to worry about the transmission next. They said no. I got into the truck and drove straight up to DI and Lindell. While waiting for the turn signal, the truck stalled. I restarted and completed the turn. I drove another 100 yards, and it stalled again. It didn't restart. I called Allied, and they told me not to worry, they would come get me and drive me home, and tow the truck back to the shop. I removed the key, pressed the hazard lights and sat in the truck to wait. While waiting, I noticed people weren't going around me. I thought that maybe the lights weren't on. I opened the door to get out, and when I stepped down, I saw white smoke curling up from the engine and fire dripping from the bottom. I ran to the side of the road, and the engine compartment quickly became engulfed in flames. Ryan from allied showed up, ran to the engine and ran back to move his car out of the way. At this point the fire was huge. Still white smoke. Ryan called the fire department and they arrived in time for the engine to explode. I walked the rest of the way home. Mike called me that night to check on me. I was shaken but all in all blessed that I got out of the truck. I asked what happened, he said he didn't know. I was contacted by his insurance company later in the week and have been dealing with them since February. They were calling it a "property" claim only and offered $4,800 for it. We've put in thousands of dollars in king coil overs, new gears, bumpers, racks not to mention the $5,400 for the engine. We declined their offer. They came up to $5,200, and I finally decided to let our attorney handle it. The engine rebuild back in January would have been $9,000, so their client (Allied) has already told us the value was higher. Anywho, I thought that Mike was being a stand up guy and I had great things to say about this whole horrible experience. That is until I obtained counsel, and three days later they IMPOUNDED the truck, and a week later I received a certified letter saying that our accumulating costs were over $600. To say we are unhappy is a great understatement. We contacted a certified Toyota mechanic, and he said that the Allied mechanic who put the engine in didn't put the fuel line properly, and while they probably did "run" the truck for a couple of hours, they probably didn't test drive it and then put it back on the rack. If they did, they would have noticed the fuel leak (remember the white smoke, I have videos of this) and I wouldn't have driven it just a mile and a half up the road before it caught fire. Pure negligence, and then the icing on the cake of them towing the truck to an impound lot without even letting us know. We had to pick it up, pay hundreds in fees and tow it home because Allied told them that we abandoned the vehicle. We did not. We couldn't move it during the insurance investigation. They had the keys, they towed it back to their shop, and then they had it impounded without a call or email. I'm disappointed in their service. I'm disappointed in their lack of integrity. And I'm beyond disappointed in the loss of our truck. The engine we used was recommended by you, Mike, and installed in your shop. Regardless, due diligence wouldn't have had it blow up 1 1/2 miles from your shop. Also, no communication from you with regards to moving the truck. I had my 2008 Ford Escape towed here because Firestone failed to do their job, they found out what was wrong with my car within a day or two and the customer service is awesome, I will be recommending them to everyone read more

WARNING:They don't stand behind their work or the products they use!!! Had my whole air conditioning system replaced 2 years ago, almost 2k worth of work and two years later the compressor goes bad. I'm 19 days and 7k miles out of the warranty; regardless it shouldn't have gone bad if the repairs were quality work and the parts had no defects. They also charged me $44 ("visual inspections" and hooking it up to a PSI machine) to tell me that the previous work they completed was incompetent. I'll be reaching out to napa autoparts since I have a business relationship with them since and let them know how their products are being represented.
