BEWARE!! Single ladies do NOT come here! They will take advantage of you and cannot be trusted to only do what needs to be done! I came in for an oil change and right before I went my car was slow to start, when I got to Allstate transmissions , I told them that. I also said it only happened once. They didn't experience any problems with turning it off and on but tried to tell me I needed a new starter and quoted me $1225. I called my dealership and they quoted me $1146. When I actually took my car in, the dealership said I didn't need a new starter, my starter was fine. Instead they replace my coolant valve, which was under warranty. In addition, they almost would not honor the coupon I brought in. First they said it was old, I explained I received it a week or two ago in the mail. Then they said my car took a special kind of oil and pointed to the fine print. They tried to only take $20 off of a $125 dollar bill, the coupon was for $59.99. After having an aggressive and tense conversation with the manager regarding the fact that this should have been stated at the beginning when I showed them coupon, he begrudgingly honored it and stated this would be the fist and only time he would honor it! All State Transmissions & Auto Repair diagnosed my ABS braking system on my 2010 Mercedes and stated that I needed a new sensor bolt ONLY.I approved the repair but they were not able to resolve the ABS issue. They charged me an extreme amount of money,argued with me over the charge and returned my car dirty and with the same problem. They were unprofessional, greedy, deceptive and aggressive. This was a horrible experience that was financially and emotionally devastating. If I could give 0 stars I would. If you value your time and hard earned money do not take your vehicle here. After 4 days and $3,786 in repairs my truck was in the exact same condition I dropped it off in. I was told the truck was running "as it should" which was false. The General manager Jeff Thames lied straight to my face for about 10 min. Telling me he drove the sh** out of the truck the night before and I had nothing to worry about since I was about to get on the highway and drive 5 hours to my next job. I was also told there was no contamination in my fuel system. Another lie straight to my face. My truck didn't even make it 3 miles from their shop before I started experiencing problems. A week later and I'm still without a vehicle and looking at thousands more dollars in repairs as I had to find another shop to do the job correctly. I've reached out to them about it and haven't heard a peep. As expected. Waste of my time and money right before Christmas. Save yourself the headache and find a better shop. read more

We took our F-150 in had new tires installed with alignment about a month ago and tire pressure sensor was broken during installation. A few days after the tire pressure sensor light went on. I took the truck back and was told they needed to order the sensor. A week later received a call saying the sensor was in. I dropped the truck off last Wednesday and was told work would take a day. I called Thursday to check on progress and was told would be ready by end of day. I went in Friday morning to pick up truck and was told by receptionist the guy that was to program sensor was out. I received call today from Rich and was told they couldn't program sensor because they didn't have the right program and maybe Discount tire could do it. Why not let me know Monday instead of holding my truck hostage for over a week. My son went in to pick up the truck and asked Rich why he didn't tell us a week ago it couldn't be programmed, His response was in don't know what to tell you (not good customer service). read more

This used to be my go to place for oil changes. I came here a day before for a oil change and they told me to come back in 30 minutes. I came back and then they tell me it's another 30 minute wait. They then tell me to come back in the morning. I'm here now and the time it's taking is very below par. I've been here for almost an hour and a half. Now I'm waiting for him to get off the phone. I'm a disabled Army Veteran on fixed income. I went there to find out what my p0443 code was and they charged me for a diagnostic, told me it was a wire and charged me 300 bucks. The light and code was still on, they told me they fixed some internal wire that the mechanic wasn't able to show me. There no diagnostic printout of my problem just a paper that said fixed wire. I had to spend more money to get it diagnosed again. This place is not professional or veteran friendly. I do not recommend this place. Read other reviews! read more

I wasn't asked or told about these charges until pick up. This is a scam to get you in the door. We should have never been charged for something we did not ask for nor were we given any notification there would be additional charges. We could have went to Firestone next door that does the same AC check for less. ******* Please read all reviews above and below and these scam artists.********** I will be submitting my complaint to BBB and disputing the unauthorized charges for a free AC check which we did not get. they was not able to determine my issue. read more

Called to ask for a price point of a transmission replacement/rebuild, and was denied knowing what the cost would be for that. It's ok to want to inspect the vehicle and such, but to not be willing to discuss with a customer the total cost of a complete transmission replacement/or rebuild seems scummy and just interested in the $$. read more

My husband took his truck to have the transmission rebuilt, however, the inside dashboard was broken and the pieces placed on the backseat floorboard and the passenger seat. When brought to Bill's attention, he indicated the truck was brought to the shop like that and they had pictures to show the state of the vehicle when it arrived. When asked to produce the pictures, he indicated none are available but two technicians (JJ and Dominique) stated the dash was broken upon arrival. When asked for a manager. I was told the owner Billie was inside. When asked to speak with Billie, I was told he wasn't there. Side note, when I entered the building to speak with Bill regarding the broken dashboard, Billie was standing in the front office with his dog on a leash. When bringing this to their attention and questioning the office staff, he stated Billie was in a meeting on the phone and wasn't coming out. I find the actions of Bill, the office staff and Billie to be unprofessional. We were not asking for anything free as we just paid $5K CASH for the transmission rebuild, we just wanted the shop to take responsibility for their actions and help repair the dashboard. I took my in for a diagnostic due to the check engine light being on. I spoke to Rich and he got right on it with one of his mechanics. They fixed the wiring harness and replaced the clutch solenoid in the transmission. It has been nearly a month with no issues or warning light on. Prior to them, I went to 3 other transmission places to no avail. They each gave me the run around. Now, I will appreciate Allstate Transmission as the number 1 service for transmission repairs. Went to drop my car off today. Tried to make an appointment previously for ab oul change, tire rotation, and some other things but since I needed an issue diagnosed I was told I could not make an appointment for that so to just bring it in. Got to shop right when they were opening. The guy that helped me was pleasant enough. He took down all my info and I told him what I needed and left my keys with him. He told me that I should hear something back later that morning. Okay, cool, no problem. As the day goes by, I had not heard anything back from them so I called the shop at 1:25pm and asked on the status. I was told by the guy (not sure if it was the same one that took my car that morning) that they had it up now and was checking it out and that I should here something in a few hours. Left work at 4 and walked back to the shop. I arrived at almost 4:30 to pick up my car only to find out, that no work had been done on it even though I was told earlier that they were working on it!!! I was told that the oil change and tire rotation could be done at that moment but I declined and asked for my car back. It was there 9.5 hours and I was told that it was being worked on when I called three hours earlier and!! WTH!!!!! read more

Awful repair service took my Jeep Grand Cherokee their for them to check out my transmission. Service advisor Richard gave me the run around for 2 weeks instead of keeping me updated about my vehicle. Then when he did decide to call he stated that the transmission needed serving let them do the service and when I picked it up and drove it home antifreeze ran all out in the driveway along with transmission fluid car was trying to run hot. The technicians are not as skillful and knowledgeable as I thought sloppy workmanship leather seat on driver side had grease on it so you know I'm mad about that. I thought that Allstate Transmission was an answer from God since coming to Texas and going through multiple mechanics and service related issues with my Chevy Silverado truck and I must say initially having to redo the transmission that was done by Sunny's transmission that was horrible it was so bad that I didn't even want to go back my husband or myself and ended up subsequently finding Allstate Transmission auto repair I must say however the first three times when I raved about them I had a specific mechanic that obviously knew how to care for and work on my 2002 Chevy Silverado extended cab Vortex engine after my truck being in the shop a total of 5 * no I'm sorry six times and three or four of those times were errors on their part and my step my truck still doesn't run right I'm just too frustrated to take it back and I really hate to even leave such a horrible review for them. Local Mechanic : Hey, Rich I have a van with my customer and won't start and needs to be towed. The problem seems to be with neutral safety switch. Rich: Bring it on, If its got to do something with the transmition we can fix it. Local mechanic: Can you give me an estimate. Rich: I cant now, I need to look at it. Local Mechanic: It's the neutral safety switch, You can give me a ballpark figure? Rich: I can't. I need to look at it. I can send a tow truck it will cost $95. Local Mechanic: Okay, send the truck, my customer will bring it in. Van is dropped at the location after hours and the key left at the dropbox. May 26th 2018 Rich : I haven't looked at it. I will call you back May 27th 2018 - Sunday. May 28th 2018 - Memorial Day May 29th 2018 - Tuesday Customer: Did you look at the car. Rich : I got to look at it. Call you this afternoon. Afternoon - Incoming Call from Allstate Transmition. Rich: We looked at the car. It starts and then sometimes it wont. Customer: Yes, I know that's why we towed it to you. Did you check the transmition and the neutral safety switch about which our mechanic told you before he sent us and the car to you? Rich: Don't take it personal. We are ASE Certified and we run computer diagnostics, and don't take other mechanics say, because of the standards of which we operate. The diganostics on our part should run for 2 hours and will cost $133 an hour. Then I can give you an estimate. If you agree to the estimate, I can wave of the charges for the diagnostics. (Customer now Thinking - Now I see, what Mr.Rich meant when 'he will look at it'. Mr.Rich will take referred customers from a Non-ASE Certified local mechanics, but not their diagnosis. While I wait with uncertainty, Mr.Rich will use his computer which will decide the good fate of my car perhaps worth $2000, and the money I have, and he will also compute my future money into his computer, because they also offer payment plans. I better get out before 'he look into it' more! ) May 30 2018. - Wednesday. Customer : We would like to tow our car back. Please don't do the diagnostics with the computer. Rich : Okay, You will only be charged the towing charges. Customer : Thankyou!!!! read more

I usually refrain from writing bad reviews unless I see gross negligence. Well, that, unfortunately has been my experience with Allstate Transmission in Desoto. I brought my car in for a transmission rebuild in Oct 2015. They repaired it in a few days and appeared to do a good job. I had some other issues with it so I brought it back to them for some belt replacements. Within 1 month of that repair, the same problems were reoccurring. I took it to another place to have the diagnostics done & they told me I needed to replace all 5 belts (the ones that had just been replaced). I told them the repairs should be under warranty at Allstate so I took it back there. Now it's the beginning of Aug 2016 & my transmission starts acting funny again. I take it to another place for the diagnostic report & they tell me what specifically is wrong & that it should be under warranty. I take it back to Allstate and they keep my car for more than TWO WEEKS and it's still not finished. Throughout the 2 weeks they have NOT ONCE called me to get plate me or give me an estimate on when they would finish, but they LIED to me each time I called saying, "He's got it up on the rack right now." On Thursday I called & was told it would be done Friday or Saturday. I asked them to call me & let me know. The weekend ended without a call. I called them Monday morning & informed them that I'd be there to pick it up & was assured it would be done. When I arrived my car was out in the lot, not in the garage. Then I find out that it's STILL not done (looks like they haven't even started). I told them I NEEDED my car by Tuesday afternoon. We shall see if it's ready. I was sent to Allstate by Discount Tire to replace a broken lug. It was late when I arrived and they were not able to repair it that day. While I was waiting, though, I was listening to everything that was going on and being said in the offices. I didn't hear anything that would make me think this business is dishonest or greedy, so I will give them a try when I need more serious work done.They gave me a ride home and called me the next morning to tell me the car was ready. This work was actually being done on behalf of Discount Tire, so I did not need to pay anything and didn't ask what they would've charged. read more

I'm here again after spending 3,200 for a transmission on 11/5/2015 today is 12/17. My whole experience has been aweful. 1st I called the shop on 10/28 was told to bring in the next morning Rich was nice but I felt a little uneasy, should have followed my 1st mind. I was told it could cost me from 1,800-2,400 on 10/29 and it would be ready 10/31. 10/30 received call it would be 2,500+ and still ready 10/31. I called on 10/31 and it wouldn't be ready until Monday 11/2. Tuesday 11/3 he called and stated it would be another 700.00 and wouldn't be ready until Wednesday 11/4. I received my car Thursday 11/5. I'm here again and he is bringing a total different issue... I need him to fix the transmission and people please don't even look at this place. FYI- while sitting here another man bringing his car back because problem not fixed. I have never reported anything negative on any company.... Please take heed will save you a lot of heartache.
