This Alo flagship store is gorgeous. Besides being well stocked with every color/style of leggings you can think of, they house a coffee shop and a rooftop yoga studio. Rooftop yoga classes are held daily at 10am! If you're tired of looking like a lululemon clone, def pay a visit to this store. Alo's style is a lot more stylish/athleisure-friendly/luxe than typical yoga brands. Their famous moto leggings ($110) are a must have. Like other reviewers have said, the people who work here lack in the customer service department. Unless you're a celeb, they'll pretend like you don't exist unless you flag one of them down. They ARE helpful when you do manage to get one's attention, though. This store is stocked with so many items that it can be a little overwhelming. My store experience was disappointing. This store has no mirrors other than in the fitting rooms which I find ridiculous as many of us don't want to go through the trouble of a fitting room when all we need is a mirror. Also, the store manager here is so rude and unpleasant. I saw her walking around the store with such a frown on her face. You can tell the sales associates walk on eggshells around her. I really didn't want to to buy a thing from her store but they were the only store with the item I wanted. When I walked past her on my way out, she didn't even say "thank you". Just wow. This review is for their online site. I placed an order online on 11/18/16 for $197.40. I emailed them almost everyday for about 1.5 weeks to get a return authorization number. I shipped off the three leggings on 12/1/16. They received and signed for the package on 12/8/16. I've been emailing and calling every couple days to see when they are going to process my refund. They told me it's already processed and credited back to my card. More than a week went by and I still didn't see a credit back to my card. I called them again and found out it was credited back to another customer's credit card. On 1/6/17, they said they fixed the problem and I should get a credit back to my credit card by next week. Still no credit so I emailed them again on 1/13/16. This is what they emailed me. Apryl Mccall replied: Hello Mimi, I am getting in touch with the warehouse to resolve this issue. I will keep you updated before the end of the day. We apologize for this delay! Best, Apryl Guess what? I didn't hear back from her by the end of day! I'm not surprise at all. Mixed review to follow: The. Good is the material quality and compression and design are like nothing else. Amazing quality In every detail. The sore itself is clean and well kept and even smells fresh. The bad would be the staff. They must have received zero training. We walked though with arms full of clothes and not one sales associate offered to carry, or to start a room, or if we needed help finding a different size, or made suggestions to other clothing. They were more interested to stay in a huddle chatting amongst themselves over a celebrity sighting. We spent close to $1000 in clothes and shoes and weren't offered water and asked two people to help check us out. It was beyond negligent customer service. It was vacuous teenage girl like behavior. We will go back for the clothes, but manage any needs to look at their training of associates. They easily could have up sold us. Instead, they get this lousy review. read more

Absolutely stunning space with high quality, gorgeous workout wear. Their goddess leggings are the BEST - the material on the bottom half of the legging is so deliciously stretchy and comfortable while the top fits well and holds its shape. Their tops are hit and miss for me because I think they're generally better for smaller chests. There is a coffee and juice bar inside the shop, the employees here are all absurdly good looking, and the rooftop deck where they offer yoga everyday at 10AM for $25 a pop is absolutely stunning. I can't wait to come back and try it. The only reason I took off one star is that their staff is really weird. Nobody offers to help. They just wander around the store looking really really good looking and looking too busy to help you. Ohkay, I have been here for there classes and I love it. Sound baths with Suzy are the best. It seriously takes you to another level. I must say the cloths does look cute but I've never really stop and look since I'm always trying to get to class for a good spot. I love their products and had a great experience when I first visited the retail store earlier this year. I purchased 6 items online when ALO had one day sale. Two of the items didn't fit right. I wanted to exchange them. When I called the customer service, I was told ALO didn't have the option to do exchange. Basically I had to return the two items and purchase at original price and the discount I received wasn't going to be honored. She did mention I can take it to their retail stores to see if they can do that at the location. I called the store in Beverly Hills because of my good experience there. Alex who answered the call at the store did tell me that I could bring the two items for exchange. I told her because I live in Irvine that it had to be a sure thing. I didn't want to go all the way for nothing. I was assured that the two items could be changed to different sizes. She was very nice on the phone helping me out, setting them aside for me to come and pick up the following day even though they could only hold it until the end of the day I called. I drove all the way to the store to find out that wasn't the case. I had to repurchase those two items at full price and the discount I received wasn't going to be honored. If so, she should have told me that in the first place so I didn't have to drive all the way for absolutely nothing. I ended up returning them. I would have appreciated much more if she told me that when I called so could save over two hour drive for nothing!!! read more

Dear Alo Yoga, thank you for making me believe that I too can be a yogi, despite the fact that my legs are shaky and my form is less than perfect. Come and celebrate being a goddess in a beautiful store full of the coziest, coolest threads. I once was basic enough to believe that Lulu was the best, until I discovered Alo. In all seriousness, everything has held up so well over series of washings (what! I get sweaty!) and I keep coming back for more. The girls at the store were so knowledgeable and helpful, I needed help figuring out the right size and fit for my activities (vinyasa but also laying on the couch). They definitely accommodated my neediness, and very sweetly so. Will continue to come back for more :) read more

I can't speak highly enough about the staff of this location, and particularly the manager Minny. I have never had a more seemless shopping experience, with staff members and particularly Minny going above and beyond to be helpful, giving genuine opinions, and providing service more swiftly than I've ever seen. She somehow always knows exactly what I need and has it in front of me before I even ask! I am beyond impressed by her and the other staff members' characters.... and the fact that the store has amazing clothes definitely helps! I've attended workshops at the Beverly Hills location and I fall in love each time. They have very knowledgable people that come and teach different classes. It is amazing. Sometimes you get a snippet of the instructors story which makes it a lot more inspiring and you're more willing to learn about what they are going to teach. Never been to the store. I own one pair of pants that I used my hard earned money on (it was even from their 'sale' section) and it was still ridiculously expensive. Colors started to fade after a few washes. Not to mention could never tell which one was front or back since the one 'ALO' tag at the bottom faded so fast. Lastly, the company just generally suck for suing a 24 years old yoga teacher for speaking up against their unethical business practices. Like the location, love the staff, very sweet and helpful, the look of the store is beautiful and the clothes look great! The reason I gave it 3 stars are the fitting rooms: for the love of everything that is holy, please change those mirrors or at least change that lighting in there. The recessed lights are horrible and make everything you try on look bad, including your skin. Do the owners not know that the most important thing in a store are the mirrors and lighting in the fitting rooms? Let us feel good, I don't need every flaw pointed out by your harsh lighting. The one around the mirror is more warm but it can't compete with that recessed light on the ceiling that makes you look like you're in a horror film. read more

I own many pairs of Alo leggings. The style is beautiful but in some cases the leggings have not held up. They pill. Also a bunch of them - including the black and white moto - are somewhat see-through from the back. This is not acceptable for such expensive leggings. Further, I disagree with this company's lack of diverse representation in its ambassadors - see Athleta for a good counterpoint. Beyond Yoga and Athleta will get my yoga dollars from now on. read more

And it's double parking in the back so my car was stuck today. And we couldn't figure out who was parked behind me and yet the staff went above and beyond to look for the driver. So sweet of them. The store is close to parking which is incredibly cheaper then any parking garage in Chicago. Kyle was exceptional at service from when I walked in up to when I was checked out. Very attentive when I needed different sizes in the fitting room. She didn't over sell anything to me which I despise when sales reps do that. All of the clothes are stylish beautifully merchandised. The sales women on the floor are lovely and helpful, but be warned!!! This is now the 3rd time I've had a horrible customer service experience upon checking out. The service check out staff, who are obviously in- experienced with customer service, are rude and completely clueless. I purchased over $500 of merchandise and the young man who looked like he just woke up out of bed, literally rolled up my items and shoved them into a bag. That was just the most recent experience. There have been numerous times where the check out guy who also doubles as a barista could hardly use the register, he barely knew the difference between a debit card and a credit card never-mind size small vs xs. Its a shame for such a beautiful store in the heart of Beverly Hills you would think that the customer service would be stellar. This review is for their online store front. I place an order on 12/20 for $123.98 as a present. After Christmas, we decided to return the order. I returned the item after Christmas and they received it on 1/5. After numerous emails and phone calls to their customer service. I finally received the partial refund of $118.98 on 2/7. I do not know why a company like this takes over a month the process a return. Also, I have not received a email as to why received $5 less than what I paid. They received the item purchased, unworn and wrapped back in the original package. If you are expecting any customer service from this company, or expect to receive your refund within a reasonable time, I would look elsewhere. read more

The website was displaying an item at a certain price, and when in my cart, it would display a different price. I called the customer service line to get the price adjusted. Instead of applying basic customer service skills, and the law, they managed to say that the price in the cart was the right one: "too bad so sad." I told the lady it was illegal to display a price, refuse the sale at the price advertised. She said she would bring it to management's attention and said goodbye. I asked her why she was not taking my number, and said she will not do anything about the price... ok so bye bye Alo, good luck staying in business with this kind of attitude, and poor business practices. read more

Just got done taking my very first yoga class here. The instructor was amazing. Her name is Koya and helped me along the way throughout the class. The classes are all yoga levels. I was a bit intimidated when I signed up but once I started the class that feeling went away. The store is located in Beverly Hills right where all the Rodeo shopping is. There is parking spots behind the building that is free and also street parking in front of the store that was vacant when I went. The store is also very chic and clean. I will not only be back for another class but also to buy some yoga pants as I continue on my fitness journey. read more

The store is laid out very nicely and pieces are curated on the racks so you can put together a cute outfit with ease. There is also a juice bar serving up healthy eats. Although there seem to be a lot of staff in store the customer service is so so compared to lulu where everyone seems very enthusiastic. To recap, I emailed for over a week to get an RMA number with no response, called and waiting through their excessively long hold times to get someone to send it to me, sent my package back promptly only to have it sit in their possession for one week (and counting!) before calling and waiting on hold AGAIN to follow up. They told me that a return takes 14 business days to process and first, tried to tell me that it was because of my credit card but when we really got down to it, it is actually because "we are a small company of less than 100 employees and don't have staff to open the boxes for returns". They feel that "the return processing time is comparable to other companies" and I was informed that "Calvin Klein can take up to 21 days". Since when is that a comparable company (they are huge and don't even manufacture the same type of clothing)!! Lululemon, Athleta, Sweaty Betty, Koral etc would have been much better examples but clearly Alo doesn't stack up against it's competitors. read more

I love this store and have found all the sales associates to be really helpful. Whenever I needed help with anything or a size that wasn't on the floor they were able to locate it for me right then and there. I love the Alo brand and I love that there is a store within walking distance from my office. I also love that they open early so I can go browse in peace. read more

I LOVE this store, I first started coming in as I work in the neighborhood, I don't look like what might be the typical "yoga girl" and still every employee in the store was more than helpful! It gets better, when you walk through you will notice there's a coffee bar in the back--and they serve the best coffee in this hood! I walk in every day, sometimes twice a day and am always happy to do so. The people who work here are fantastic and easy to talk to.
