Was meh. Coming from a family with Vietnamese roots the food was subpar. Got the bo luc lac and it was pretty salty. Family member got the bun bo hue the soup felt like a regular stock broth and just added a slight bun bo hue coloring and flavor. Westfield needs to step their Vietnamese cuisine up. read more

Delicious!! The Pad Thai is perfect. The summer rolls are always delicious. My niece had a vegetarian pho bowl that she said was excellent. Another favorite is the chicken skewers. They come with little fried onions straws on them-best I've ever had! Really nice wait staff too. read more

What great food. My favorites are the Vietnamese crepe and the shrimp fried rice (which is misleading named as there is no fried component in this dish) this rice dish is refreshing and so flavorful! My friends and I go when we want a yummy, filling and very reasonable meal. The owners are so lovely and work so hard to keep this a great place. read more

I've had pho from here 3 times and each time it's been excellent! I lived in the Boston area for a year and there are tons of great Vietnamese restaurants out there that I loved. This place comparatively met the mark. I'm so glad we have a place like this in Westfield. I am a bit upset they don't deliver BUT I do make the trip to get take-out whenever I'm craving it. I finally got around to trying this restaurant, and was excited based on such positive reviews. I ordered #35 (3 meat and vermicelli) and it was really delicious. The pork was slightly saltier than I would prefer, but nothing too catastrophic. Food seemed fresh, but wait time was longer than expected. I also got the black milk tea for $3.65. Unfortunately, it wasn't as great; there were very few pearls, and they were hard and not chewy, as if they were in the fridge for some time. The milk tea was a white color, which surprised me because usually it is a brown hue. The milk tea itself was decent, not too sweet and more milky than tea flavored, although I doubt it's authentic because the color gave it away. Overall, I would come back for the food but not the bubble tea. read more

Having moved to the Pioneer Valley recently we were anxious to find some good Vietnamese food. Tonight we found it and it wasn't just good, it was fantastic! Between the pork Bun and the beef crispy noodles, we were in heaven. Such deep, complex flavors, bright crispy vegetables, the meat tender and delicious. The menu has a great variety of dishes, even the crepe that you don't always see. Service was delightful and perfectly timed. Free iced tea was light but with the smokey vanilla taste of Thai iced tea. We can't wait to go back and bring our friends. You should do the same. read more

Came here driving through and very surprised at how good the food we ordered tasted at this simple place. Would habe given it 5 stars but it is not the cleanest place (a good clean especially the restroom) and a paint job would make the world of difference! Living in Boston and love Vietnamese food, the Brisket Pho was one of the best I have had. The broth was simply perfect and did not leave me thirsty all night from 'MSG'. We also ordered shrimps Bun/vermicelli, also very tasty. The pork bun for appetiser was too dry, probably from being in the microwave too long. Our server, a very pleasant young lady was very good. I love this place, I love the quality of the food. But the service sucks. The owner is so grumpy and not kids friendly at all. I went in on a Sunday with the kids and she looked at the kids and said oh we're close, but then people were still walking in ordering. She didn't even let us in from the door! Finally got to try this place and it was pretty good. Their fried egg rolls were to die for. I also got the crispy noodles stir fry. It didn't have much vegetables in it that I liked and the noodles were definitely crispy. I'll go for regular lo mein type of noodles next time I go there. The decor inside is definitely lacking and I had a fruit fly in my iced tea. Thankfully I don't drink iced tea so that wasn't really an issue for me. Had the #20. It was excellent. They give you plenty of extras (bamboo shoots, basil, jalapeños, lime). Even give you more when you take it to go (I'd be shocked if you could finish the entire bowl in one sitting!). Also lots of meat, not just a couple slices. Hubby had the #17. Also delish. Wow. Complete let down. Probably some of the crappiest food I've ever had. I go to Westfield state and have always been waiting to go to the only Vietnamese place around. Got very excited while looking over the menu, some things seemed a little pricy but of course I had to give it a try. Place was just a hole in the wall, drastically in need of an update. Ordered the steamed barbecue pork bun, something I always get in Boston's China town, and the chicken Pad Thai. Brought both back to my dorm which was a poor decision on my part, should've eaten there, but still it had no effect on the food quality. The bun was nothing like they advertised. I love the steamed pork barbecue like the menu showed but upon biting into it I found it was filled with an egg, questionable pieces of plain pork, unidentifiable vegetables, and probably the worst, a piece of a hot dog. Hopefully the Pad Thai was going to redeem them but nope. Insanely greasy, little tiny slivers of chicken, no peanut flavor. Felt disgusting after eating this. Maybe o should've just stuck to the pho which seems to be their thing. Maybe I'll go back for that to try but for sure not the other food. read more

We were excited when we saw a Vietnamese restaurant opened up in Westfield, and Alo Siagon didn't disappoint. I had the steamed vermicelli with pork, which was kind of a rice wrap you assemble at the table yourself. My wife had chicken noodle soup. Both were excellent, even our toddler liked them. The food was authentic and very good, as good as any of the Vietnamese restaurants in Springfield. Finally another takeout choice other than pizza or bad Chinese in Westfield. read more
