stayed here for 1 night with my daughter. it's a fairly new hotel. it was nice and clean. the room is modern looking. the dining table and the sofa in the room is a nice touch. the tv with lots of stations to watch is good. i use tv to let me fall asleep. the only thing is the shower leaks into the bathroom floor although there is a towel to step on. breakfast was included although it was not a buffet breakfast which we were looking forward. it was by order. and then jean from front desk helped us with our breakfast and accommodated us with our questions. thanks jean for your help! such a good and nice receptionist. might come back again. just hoping that they will bring back the breakfast buffet!!! read more

Buyer beware: The hotel is nice enough but their NO refund, NO change policy is unreasonable. Right now, Northern California is experiencing torrential rains. Awhile ago, I reserved a room for friends that will be in the area. Dates may need to change based on travel conditions. At the time I booked, I didn't think much about Aloft policy. I'm going to try to work with my credit card company to change dates. I doubt it will work. If I lose money due to a date change, I'll be furious. Based on this, I'm leaving a rare negative review. It's a Saturday night and you want to go out for some drinks with your friends, but you are to old for night clubs and too classy for dive bars. And you are not feeling the whole chain restaurant vibe. Well here is your spot! Yes a hotel bar, i have been to many throughout my world travels, but have never just been to one locally until now! This place is great if you want to meet up with some other couples, play so pools, sit my the fire and grab some apps. The bar does not get to busy, they have a limited selection of local Draft beers (no Lagunitas though?). I had the Maui Wowi from Altamont, which is pretty good! The app selection is limited, I have the pork tacos, they were ok the pork was a little over cooked, but the toppings made up for it. I also had some Bacon cheese fries, boy did those hit the spot!!!!! Also the kitchen does close at (i think it was 10pm) so check with the bartender. I stay at this hotel often for business travel. I chose this hotel because of its EV chargers and proximity to many delicious restaurants. Most visits have been great and without incident. My last visit, I checked in, headed to the room they assigned me and upon entry, noticed the room was occupied. For both our sake, the guests weren't in their room at the time, but could've made for a super awkward encounter! I returned to the front desk, they reassigned my room and gave me a $20 bar credit--Thanks, but I don't drink. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I stayed in a king standard room. The room felt like a cramped college dorm. I felt extremely claustrophobic... There is a bed, 2 side tables, a small table, a small fridge and a tiny bathroom. There's barely any room to walk. The ventillation was lacking. The room is temperature controlled. Off balance. Also the walls are paper thin. You can hear every voice, every footstep and every door open and close. That made it almost impossible to sleep. The front desk agents felt cold and unwelcoming. I would definitely never go back to this hotel. If I wanted to spend my money on a hotel room as small as a shoe box, I would rather try to fit inside my Prada boots dust bag and attempt to fit inside the fancy box instead... read more

I love this property and would have rated it higher but had a very unsatisfactory experience with reporting a complaint. I was asleep and at 8:30 in the morning an access card was used to try and access our room if the security latch hadn't been on they would have walked in. I attempted to raise this to the front desk and got a well clean staff just started their shift.. why they are starting with occupied rooms that have not checked out was not explained and zero action taken no one seems to think i should be upset about being woken up on the last day of my vacation. I had 12 hour shifts for 4 days in a row for Black Friday weekend so I decided to book a room at Aloft through Expedia. I AM SO GLAD I MADE THIS DECISION!!! I arrived an hour before check-in and was promptly greeted by a gentlemen who was very nice. The check-in process was quick and fast since I pre-paid. I wish I got his name because he was so nice and welcoming. He told me about the different amenities and the BARR that is open at 5pm!!! I knew the only night I could take advantage of the bar was that night because I would be at work for the majority of my stay at the Aloft. I was stoke for the bar!!! I only used the bar the first night I was there because I had to work the other 3 nights I was staying at Aloft. I invited one of my girlfriends to come have a couple drinks with me. Our bartender was Denise and she was delightful!!! So nice and attentive. We started off with a Mojito which was not on the menu but, Denise was more than happy to make it for us. Throughout the night we took a couple of shots of tequila and Hennessy to get to that wonderful buzz place faster. We also ordered food and tried their fries and wings which were wonderful!!! So tasty!!! We got garlic wings and Korean flavored wings. We had an amazing and fun time at the Wxyz Bar!!! We loved the games even though we sucked at them and the service was great!!! Anyways, let's talk about the room..it is super cute!!! Everything you need and even a refrigerator. I don't remember the last time I staid at a hotel and they had an empty fridge so I can store my own food/drinks and not have to stare at overpriced hotel drinks in a full fridge that I never buy. So, let's go over the good first. We arrived mid evening on a Friday, and there was a very lively and raucous party going on. And loud, so loud! And when I found out we were only one room away from the party, I was not happy. However, when we got in the room and shut the door, I couldn't even tell there was a party going on at all. So well done for that! The room was small, but not horribly so. And, an absolute first, there were enough power outlets and USB ports! Awesome! And that's it for the good, I'm afraid. First thing most travelers need in their hotel room is the toilet. The toilet paper holder was saggy, and kept dropping the paper on the floor. And since the shower allowed water all over the floor, that was unpleasant. And in a new hotel. Wow. Cleaning up water off the floor brought up a black towel. Like, midnight in an unlit, long tunnel black. Nasty. The next day, we found a drawer in the two drawer unit full of garbage. Super nasty. Trying to get more coffee, we were told we couldn't, as housekeeping wasn't in yet. In all fairness, we were pointed to a self serve coffee dispenser at no charge. Ok, next best thing. The bar keeper was extremely pleasant, and my drink was reasonably strong. Extremely expensive, but that's pretty normal quite often. So, overall, the room was decent, the staff was a mixed bag, and the parking lot was well lit. But the extreme lack of decent cleaning is almost unsanitary, and certainly disgusting. Aloft, the hotel with a hip and unique atmosphere. This is the first time I've ever stayed in a place that had just opened (this Monday). If you have ever been to IKEA, it had that new furniture feel. The bathroom door features a slide feature and the living room had a semicircle like couch. The TV was abundant in size and came packed with strong speakers. Everything in the room was comfortable and clean. In the lobby downstairs, there was lots of cool couches and blocks for anyone to hang out at. There was a bar and pool table on the other side. Outside, there was a jacuzzi, pool, fireplace area, and corn hole toss. I'll be sure to include all the photos! The customer service was good too. They had a breakfast issue today regarding the kitchen staff, so they solved our problem briefly by allowing us to get stuff from the market area. Bartender was also an exciting and kind lady. Definately would recommend this place for anyone to stay at! read more

My wife and I decided to have a little getaway we met at the hotel. The room was okay very small. The next morning I went to my car in there parking lot and discovered it had been vandalized. My catalytic converter had been stolen. Apparently they have poor security at this place. Then after the police took my report I went back to my room to get the rest of my belongings. The maid was in there and my wedding ring was gone. The manager wasn't very helpful. Anyway don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. read more

This is a really cozy boutique style hotel. A friend and I only stayed for a night, due to event we had the next morning. I would definitely stay here again. We thought the robot was super cool too! The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the bar was closed when we arrived (8:30pm) on a Friday. The hotel clearly indicated that it was dead so the bartender closed earlier than normal. Additionally, upon checking in I asked if the room charges could be split with two cards (my card & my friend). She proceeded to inform me That we couldn't because the room had already been paid for, which it hadn't since check out was the next day. I knew this was something we could do, as I've done it before. She mentioned she was tired and asked if she had answered my question, which I replied "Nope but, I'll handle it in the morning." In the morning there was a different clerk working and she was able to split it and provide me with a receipt in less than two minutes. I knew it wasn't a difficult request the person before was just lazy or didn't know how to do it and didn't ask for help from another colleague. read more

Had a pleasant stay at this new Aloft. The check-in was fast and the front desk was welcoming. I asked for a shower cap and was promptly given one. Once I made it to my room I noticed it was warm, it was a hot day outside, so I figured maybe the room needed time to cool off so I lowered the temperature and proceeded to watch some TV but found no remote in the room, I informed the front desk and again, I was promptly brought one up. The room kept being warm so I called the front desk and I was moved to another room without any trouble. Luckily the new room was cooler than the other one and had a nicer view to the patio. Next time I stay here I want to check out the bar and chill in the patio for sure. The pool looked amazing too. Can't wait to come back! :) read more

First time staying at an Aloft. The entertainment is pretty nice. There's a pool table, connect 4 and Jenga in the lobby as well as chess and other board games. There is also a bar. Outside there's a hot tub (pretty good size) and a pool (a bit small if alot of people) we got lucky and only a few people/kids went at a time. They also had out door games, Cornhole and bocce. TV outside with a fire pit. Gym is average size and had 4 treadmills 2 ellipticals and a stationary bike. Free weights and a machine with weights. There is a tablet in the room and you can text the front desk for questions and you can have a robot bring you things to your room. I gave 3 stars due to the room design. The toilet and shower are in the same room with a sliding door that doesn't seem to be completely closed and a glass shower door. The sink is right behind the beds separated by a thin wall that has frosted windows. So when you turn on the bathroom light switch the whole room is lighted up and wakes everyone up. The light switches are all by the front door. Walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors TV on. Location seems pretty good with a few places to eat at walking distance just across the parking lot. New development in the area so everything looks new. read more

Well, this is supposed to be the new "woke" hotel chain for Marriott. They are still very sensitive to the whole mask scene, and that's ok, but the odd looks from other patrons we could do without. Rooms are interesting and the robot "Butler" only brings you towels if you plan on taking a shower I guess. Hotel policy? Front desk gal was excellent and a very hard worker, the bartender was excellent as well. Staff all worked hard to provide a great environment. We are Platinum Marriott patrons and so we received free breakfast bowls, they were excellent and hand prepared by the same front desk gal that had to do everything else. As I said, a hard worker and great asset to Marriott. Free coffee that was pretty good as well. Well, we tried the new Marriott chain of woke hotels and we will pass in the future. Frequent business traveler in Bay Area- this hotel has become my absolute favorite for a multitude of reasons! First- if it's your first stay at an Aloft, you will feel a bit odd- this hotel style is a bit hipsterish and caters to the do it yourself traveler. Once you get used to the minimalist style however, you'll fall in love with it, Staff here is absolutely fantastic- from check in to check out, if you have bad experience something is really wrong! Highly recommend a stop at the bar to meet Julio the bartender- top notch conversationalist and damn good bartender. Breakfast bowls in the morning are great and present very healthy alternatives to traditional breakfast. Ordering process in touch screen monitor is cool, but often prone to malfunction (I usually ask the folks at check in to assist me). On my second or third visit here, I was surprised to find a handwritten note and gift bag on the bed thanking me for being a repeat customer! With thoughtfulness like that, hard for me to complain about anything at this hotel. My only gripe (and not really a gripe at this hotel) is the wild swings in daily room prices- I'm used to swings in downtown locations but most of the hotels in this area just seem to have wild up and downs in rack rate pricing. read more

This will be the first and last time I stay at Aloft Dublin. I was having my bathroom worked on at my home and needed a room for the night. I'm a Gold Elite SPG member and have stayed at Aloft as well as Westin hotels in the past and this by far is the worst. Let me start off by saying the staff that work the front desk are very unprofessional. Upon checkin I asked for a higher floor and was denied, the young girl that was checking me in didn't even bother accommodating my request or checking if there was anything available. If you want a good night sleep this is not the hotel for you. The walls and floors are paper thin, I heard kids running around all night above my room and the people that were next door to us were so loud it sounded like they were in our room. Not to mention they had their Tv turned up so loud until 2 am. The next day I called the front desk at 8am for a late check out and was told that there's no more late check outs available. I find that hard to believe. So do yourself a favor and stay in Pleasanton at the Hilton DoubleTree, it's a far better hotel. The Hotel is very peaceful and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. If you're a Gold or Diamond member you will also receive a free breakfast buffet every day of your stay. read more

I came here for a staycation during the week with my children for a few days. The ambience of the hotel is great. I stopped and got food at the bar, the bartender was very sweet and the food was good! When I got to the room I did notice there were a few ants in the shower but didn't think anything of it so I killed them. When I woke up in the morning I notice the ants were back in the shower and there were two ants on the bed so I immediately called the front desk and switched rooms which was done in 15 minutes. After I switched rooms, the next day I woke up only to realize the AC was blowing out warm air, I called the front desk and within 5 to 10 minutes the maintenance man came out and swapped out the AC and I didn't have any issues moving forward. I'll definitely comeback here soon! I would have gave 5 stars but due to the ants and AC issue 4 stars is fair enough. read more

As a traveller for work, I stay in different hotels every week. The location is perfect for working throughout the Bay Area and very close to a Target and restaurants. The hotel gym is great and everything I need for a quick workout. Love the Internet TV option to watch Netflix too. I have started hosting some work meetings at this hotel and have been very happy with the results! The food options have been reasonable in price and love working with the hotel sales manager Michele! She has been very helpful and accommodating. I have been using this as my primary business meeting location and will continue to! I recommend this hotel to all my business contacts who also travel for work in the Bay Area! read more

If you've ever been to any Aloft, you'll know how all their hotels have this laid back, exciting, updated look to them. We spend the day here while in town and loved it! Welcoming front desk. Easy self parking. Pool is outdoor and a bit cold but they have a nice jacuzzi! They even have a play yard next to the pool area with games. And just on the other side of the pool is the indoor gym. Their gym is well maintained and guest are courteous of one another. Beautiful fire pit with seating just outside of the pool area. I'd probably sit there to enjoy my drink during happy hour or morning coffee. Inside the lobby is well maintained. The rooms are beautiful! Stand up shower, sink inside your room but is covered by a privacy wall. You'd think you're staying in a loft somewhere in the San Francisco with how modern art and the room is styled. For room service, don't expect a human. They have cool robots deliver things to you! So cool! Definitely need to become a gold member with them or something! read more

The service is not very good, the ladies that "helped" us at the front were not very pleasant and had a bit of an attitude when we asked questions. The room itself was wonderful. Nicely remodeled and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked great, which was needed on a 100+ degree weekend. I would recommend, just don't expect exceptional service. read more

We are Gold Elite members and I am trying to be rational on this but this was BAD. There was NO MASK enforcement. Signs indicting must be worn on property. We entered lobby to check in and there was a couple playing pool and another group of 4 to 5 men. None with masks on. I asked the man checking us in whether or not they require and he said yes. I asked him to look around and he started to indicate the men were eating (?) . They did have discarded fast food items but were done. Then when he looked at the couple playing pool he just shrugged and said nothing. I said I realize his position is difficult that this was BS. He said nothing. I had to return to car 20 minutes later and all these people were still unmasked lounging in lobby. They were all there again for at least another 30 minutes later when I left again to store. I am very frustrated and disappointed in Marriott. We stayed at another property last month and they did not mess around and would escort anyone off or hand a mask to them. If In door dining is not allowed why are you allowing guests to lounge in lobby to eat and drink, play pool and chat for hours? Less of an issue Is the room only had one roll of TP with about a centimeter of paper left on it but we did to meet the robot which was was super cool if you didn't have to take it's survey and keep touching buttons. The rooms look ok but only practical If you are traveling alone. You cannot use bathroom if anyone is asleep without illuminating the entire room. Luckily the flashlight on the iPhone allowed a shower and use of the facilities. It was tricky and makes no sense. Please speak to your staff and train them!!! This was upsetting and unsettling. I will not stay here or recommend and will be contacting management and corporate. read more

The Aloft in Pleasanton, Ca is my first stay at the chain. This gorgeous, new, modern hotel is the BEST place I have ever stayed! I practically live out of hotels and it's has been the best experience In YEARS! From the entire hotel staff (Jessica is amazing!) that even has a little robot to bring you towels to your room!! Every employee has a smile on their faces (sincere smiles!) the room has every modern gadget from Alexa to brilliant power and lights, to the shades and the design style. Don't think about it, when you need to go to hotel do yourself a favor and stay there! You will not be disappointed!!
