Can't believe I've lived in the area for years and just now found this place. Total hidden gem. It's in a tucked away spot, which might be why it always seems empty, but the food is seriously so good. I was hooked after my first try, and it's definitely my go to Mongolian BBQ spot now. I also like that a staff member helps pack your bowl, I actually prefer that for hygienic reasons. Everyone has been friendly and attentive every time I've gone. Definitely underrated.

As other people have said, it's beats going to the mall. If you want Mongolian bbq this place will hit the spot. You pick what you want in your noodles, or rice, and you can have as many types of meats and vegetables offered. Shrimp and egg is an extra charge for some reason. The portion is generous, even for the hearty eaters. I will say that it's definitely not as large in portion as going to say the Brea Mall at that Mongolian barbecue place. That portion there is definitely larger for about the same price. The people who run the place are friendly and we enjoyed our visit. We would go back. It's about $19 for just a one trip through the bar.

I've been coming here since I was a kid with my dad. It's still just as good as I remember. I always recommend supporting local businesses, and this spot is too good. They no longer do self serve, but the staff members are always friendly and helpful when they build bowl for me. I'm always greeted with a warm welcome and the customer service is a 10/10. I highly recommend to add some of their sesame bread to your order because it is DELICIOUS. We'll fill it like a little pocket with our noodles. Will always continue to support and be back soon for more!

Very surprised. Been wanting to come here with my partner for a while. Very clean. Staff is welcoming and friendly. They have a pay it forward system which I absolutely love. The food is delicious good flavor and good quality. 10 out or 10 will recommend and coming back here.

Was in the area from out of town because I was getting a major maintenance service done at a shop close by. Saw that this place was walking distance and came to try it. Spent a total of $26 on a Mongolian plate, egg rolls and a thai tea. Food was decent over all. I did like that the server smushed down the proteins to fit more stuff in the bowl. Didn't think I was gonna get full but it's more than enough food. The inside is pretty nice for what it is.

First time trying out Mad Wolf. I've only tried Mongolian noodles from places like Genghis Khan at the mall. Mad Wolf's noodles are more flavorful and chewy, which I like more. They will portion the food out for you, but there's still enough food for me to split this into 2-3 meals. Services was fast, and this restaurant is pretty spacious. There's plenty of parking in the lot too.

I've been coming here for almost 20 years. This place has always been my come to place for Mongolian bbq. The service is pretty good everyone is friendly and considerate. The ambiance is pretty good it was remodeled a few years ago. Most people seem to get their food to go so there's generally room to sit down without a wait. If you like flavor this place has got you covered. Their sauces are really tasty. I recommend getting all the sauces except taryaki. This place is a must try. You won't regret it.

Food was great. The right amount of meat and vegetables seemed pretty fresh. They are not stingy with the portions. The manager was very pleasant and checked up on us repeatedly. The tables are a little worn but not bad. The place looked pretty clean. Overall. If you like Mongolian bbq you cannot go wrong.

It was okay. Not many Mongolian food around but over all I would go back portions are okay not much a variety of toppings. Also kind of felt like the saracha was watered down and the hot chili oil was just a lot of oil and no chills. I thought they had garlic it turned out to be garlic water if that makes any sense. Service was fine I got my food with in 10 min. The place was quite very hidden.

Food was absolutely delicious! The people working were very attentive and even stopped by to ask if everything was tasting good - the sauce they add to the bowls makes it so flavorful. We also tried the chicken wontons & chicken egg rolls, both 10/10! We appreciate the food being brought to our table + the good vibes

Love this spot! We recently found Mad Wolf and their food is definitely better than Ghengis Khan at the Mall. They are also very friendly and are always willing to accommodate whatever your preferences are. Support this local business so they can stay open for a long time and we can keep enjoying their delicious food! Make sure you go to the very corner of the right side of the shopping center as it is kind of hidden.

Their Chili Oil is amazing! Spicy with a crunchy, toasty taste. Soooo good!

Was also happy to see that the shrimp pieces were large and properly cleaned. They had the crispy chili oil as a condiment on the table which was great because I love crispy chili oil and was able to use a generous amount. Overall a good solid meal. That's why this particular interaction stood out so much. One employee was incredibly rude and dismissive from the start. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable, yet I was treated as if I was an inconvenience. His tone was disrespectful, his attitude was hostile, and the entire interaction left me wondering why someone working with customers would choose to speak to people that way. What frustrated me even more was that when I calmly asked for his name, he refused to give it to me. He also wasn't wearing a name tag. If you're willing to treat customers poorly, you should at least be willing to identify yourself when asked. The other employees I've encountered here have always been courteous and professional, which makes this person's behavior even more disappointing. One employee shouldn't be able to damage the reputation that the rest of the staff works hard to build. I don't know what was going on with him that day, but there is simply no excuse for treating customers with that level of disrespect. Hopefully management takes this seriously because nobody should have to deal with that kind of behavior when they're simply trying to enjoy a meal.

Since we had a late lunch on a weekday it was not that hard finding parking and there was no wait to be seated either. As soon as I walked in I smelled goat/lamb, and noticed the pretty paintings on the walls. We ordered the namesake Mongolian Homemade Pies (an order has 3 pieces), cold dish three pieces, and spicy duck blood stewed with beef tripe. The meat pies were delicious with juicy meat, and the appetizer cold dishes were refreshing. However, the duck blood dish contained no duck blood whatsoever. The Chinese name for the dish 毛血旺 literally has blood in the name! The waitress tried to tell us the restaurant does not use pork to be halal as this dish often has pork intestine and pork blood, but I am not sure how that would affect the lack of duck blood. She felt bad so gave us some meat jerky. The bowl was a very large portion so I packed it to-go to make some adjustments at home. The complimentary lamb broth was tasty though undersalted (you can add salt to taste from the sauce bar). I also would have liked the soup to be hotter in temperature. You are also served complimentary milk tea or yogurt upon being seated, so we had one of each. The milk tea was too salty for my tastes but the yogurt was tasty. Overall the food and service were fine and I would come back to try more off of the menu.

But I keep going back especially since..Mongolian Hot Grill is a self-serve customizable to your liking. Their prices have increased since the first time I went, as expected since everything has gone up now in days. They give you your protein in a plate and you just start stacking up the veggies as high as you want. My only gripe would be have more tongs in the veggie section, doesn't feel right using one for all the vegetables. Then you get to your spice level.. there's 3 options Regular, Medium, Spicy.. I think Spicy is the only way to go honestly. It gives the food a nice little kick. The food to me is really good, you customize it how you want it.. doesn't get better than that & depending how much you were able to put on the plate, you might be able to take some back home, I personally always finish my plate. My biggest complaint is they have a "time they open" and i've gotten there.. and guess what they are not OPEN!! Now I'm stuck in Whittier (not a bad thing) but I would hope they would follow their times posted.. not open 45mins-1hr later. Service i feel is irrelevant here, they have one guy cooking everyone's plate. Sometimes when it's really busy the cashier will coming in and help him out. So be patient.. it'll get done. Just have to be a little patient. Be ready to bring some CASH, since it's cash only, & be ready to eat this in your car.. they have two tables here. Very limited sitting. After the way they treated me I won't be back here. I attempted to speak up THREE different times that my order was being prepared incorrectly. Both of the guys cooking kept gaslighting me that there was Chicken, Beef and Pork in my order. I spoke up when they first placed it on the grill, then once they were cooking it and Finally when he was packing it up I asked him point to a piece of chicken or pork in here cause I don't see anything. He couldn't because from the beginning there wasn't any other protein except for beef. His response is we'll tell the cashier and I'll take this home. I'm like and then what, wait another 45 mins because there are 15 people waiting too. He basically shrugged it off like meh not my problem. The solution would have been to get me the proteins I ordered and paid extra for that were missing. But instead I was made to feel like I didn't matter once they got my money.
