I've been coming here since I was a kid, and it's definitely changed over the years. It used to be self-serve where you built your own bowl and they cooked it for you. Now they build the bowl for you, but it's still just as good. I came for the lunch special, which includes a bowl, a drink (Pepsi products), and an egg roll or wonton. I added a biscuit pocket too. I wish the biscuit pocket was part of the lunch special because it's one of my favorite things here. The meat is good, the veggies are fresh, and the sauces have a lot of flavor. The staff was really welcoming and brought the food out to my table once it was ready. They checked on me a few times, and it wasn't too crowded, which made for a nice lunch. My total came out to about $24, which isn't bad for how much food you get. I ate about half my bowl there and had enough left for dinner later. Definitely worth it if you're hungry. read more

As other people have said, it's beats going to the mall. If you want Mongolian bbq this place will hit the spot. You pick what you want in your noodles, or rice, and you can have as many types of meats and vegetables offered. Shrimp and egg is an extra charge for some reason. The portion is generous, even for the hearty eaters. I will say that it's definitely not as large in portion as going to say the Brea Mall at that Mongolian barbecue place. That portion there is definitely larger for about the same price. The people who run the place are friendly and we enjoyed our visit. We would go back. Spent a total of $26 on a Mongolian plate, egg rolls and a thai tea. Food was decent over all. I did like that the server smushed down the proteins to fit more stuff in the bowl. First time trying out Mad Wolf. I've only tried Mongolian noodles from places like Genghis Khan at the mall. Mad Wolf's noodles are more flavorful and chewy, which I like more. They will portion the food out for you, but there's still enough food for me to split this into 2-3 meals. Services was fast, and this restaurant is pretty spacious. I actually stumbled upon Mad Wolf Mongolian Barbecue completely by accident. I was picking up an Uber Eats order for a customer and the smell alone had me curious. After I dropped the order off, I decided to swing back on my way home and grab some dinner for myself and I'm so glad that I did. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked exactly how I like it. They give you plenty of options, the ingredients look clean and well-stocked, and the staff was cool, friendly, and quick with it. The portions were solid too and definitely worth the good price. Wow wow wow. My assistant and I were headed home from a meeting. We're not from the area and I jokingly mentioned I wonder if there's a Mongolian bbq spot around here I've been craving it. She gets on yelp and finds this place. It was closer to their closing time so it was fairly empty and we were helped right away and then checked out. I introduced her to pocket bread bc she had never had it. Food came out fresh and we were instantly hooked. What a great end to a work day. I also appreciated the service which was great. I would say 3 stars for the food and 5 stars for the service so the overall rating is a 4. We came here at the request of a family member. The plaza where Mad Wolf is located is run down, to put it mildly. So it definitely felt a little uneasy walking up to Mad Wolf. We were the first ones there for lunch, so got to pick a table by the window. This would be convenient for folks for needed a quick takeout. The concept is to select your ingredients and then they cook it for you and serve it in a to go plastic container. Service was quick and really friendly and accommodating. I got half and half beef and pork with noodles, selected toppings of tofu, bok choy, carrots, among other items and the mild spice, garlic, and ginger sauces. My noodles came out a bit too salty, in fact everything was really salty. The bowls where they fill the ingredients was a bit small, so once cooked, the carrots and bok choy were nearly undetectable in the container from shrinkage. Service on the other hand was fantastic, they were proactive in helping us move tables to accommodate our party, checked in on us, and was generally friendly and efficient. read more

This is my go-to place for comfort noodles. I ordered the Mad Wolf BBQ with chicken and extra noodles (total billable amount of $19.13). Bowls are customizable like Chipotle in which a staff member puts in the meat, noodles, vegetables, and sauces you'd like. Meat options include chicken, beef, and pork. I prefer having someone make the bowl on my behalf. Another staff member then cooks your bowl, and then the cashier serves it to you on a takeout container with a lid in case you have leftovers or would rather eat elsewhere. The great thing about the BBQ bowl is that it stays steaming hot for quite a while. The sauces soak the bowl contents and make for a meal of deliciously savory noodles from start to finish. The meat and vegetables get cut up into smaller bite-sized pieces so that you can eat a forkful of what you wanted. The cashier was also very nice. He checked up on me a few times. When the sun came out, he put down the blinds to keep protect my eyes. When the clouds covered the sun, he put the blinds back up to allow for a view of the sunset. What are bread pockets you ask? It is hot pocket style bread that you out noodles and your meat in. It is unique in its own way. I also love the noodles, it's thick, has texture, and so yummy! I got the noodles with meat and my girlfriend got the noodles only. My only complaint is that they charged the noodles only the same price as mine with meat. Shouldn't the one with noodles only be perhaps half the cost? What gives? Minus one star, I feel like noodles only should be fairer pricing because meat costs more. read more
