I used to come here all the time when I was in college to get lumpia and the adobo fried rice omelette! Over 20 years later, I'm back again; this time they have a spicy version of the omelette (with cayenne and jalapeño). It's almost $17 but the portion is massive, so it was a few meals for me. You gotta get a refreshing Hawaiian drink too, of course! Parking is free, but there seems to always be construction on the main street. Very disappointed. I ordered a chicken katsu plate, drink, and musubi to go. After getting home, I discovered my mac salad was missing. When I called the restaurant, I was brushed off and told I could come back to get it. The missing item wasn't even the biggest issue it was the lack of concern and customer service. I ordered the corned beef and hash with eggs and rice plate with a spam musubi on the side via DoorDash. The white rice they serve is long grain and is not fresh and tastes longer than a day old. The horrible taste and texture is the result of rice left out for over 3 days. The texture was very dry and held no moisture like standard cooked white rice typically holds. This causes the shape of the scoops in the corned beef and hash plate to lose its shape quickly when scooped out with a utensil. Island Sushi Grill and Aloha Sunrise Cafe scooped rice does not present this problem. The same rice is used in their spam musubi, which lost shape when I bit into it and the rice with the condensation of being wrapped in tin foil was disgusting. Spam musubi's are supposed to be tightly wrapped with very little to no mess when eating them. Their musubi had a stale, horrible taste, and fell apart after one bite. I threw away the spam musubi and the rice from my plate. They need a fresh batch of rice and have unfortunately lost me as an ongoing patron. White rice isn't supposed to taste like that. I'm Hawaiian and grew up with various rice options and textures. I do not recommend this place, go to Island Sushi Grill or Aloha Sunrise Cafe. read more

We visit Vegas monthly for business. Stay away from the strip locations and look for the local favorites. Lots of new and old Hawaiian locations to choose from which makes it fun to try them all. We went to years ago when there weren't that many to choose from. Went back last week to see if they still served the best Loco Mocos, and sure enough, it was amazing. The patty is huge and cooked perfectly, loaded with flavor and would be amazing between a bun. Asked for easy over egg and that's exactly what we got. We ordered an extra side of gravy as it's just like with pancakes, you have to keep it covered as that's half the flavor. The gravy here is by far the best, not only in Vegas' but pretty much all over the west coast where I travel. One of the only ones that I don't need to doctor up and definitely no chili. It was plenty to share but we went ahead and ordered the Curry. Another huge win for them as the chicken was tender, the carrots and potatoes were cooked perfectly and fresh.
