Listen, I knew what I was getting into, and it was still an absolute gongshow. We got here early enough to have somewhere to park, but from that point onward, it was an insane maze of (unnecessary!) lines and tax-evasive cash-only business practices. We spend about a half of our total time here waiting in lines and running around figuring out what we had to do to actually touch snow. Things that could obviously improve the experience: 1. A sign indicating where to sign your waiver. There was an hourlong line to sign waivers when there were 15 other waiver-signature iPads with no line in a different building. Why are none of the teenaged staff directing people from a massive line into a different one? Great question! 2. A sign indicating where to buy tickets if you already signed your waiver. Hot tip: if you ignore the huge line and find an available iPad to sign your waiver, you can walk past the other suffering idiots around you and buy your tickets immediately, as long as you can find the ticket booth...FYI, it's at the base of the chairlift. 3. Sell access to the snow play area only, even for the same price! But be more rational and have designated lines so toddlers aren't losing it in the parking lot. 4. Consider using the Internet. Reserving a ticket ahead of time online and avoiding 45 minutes of toddler meltdowns and coronavirus in unnecessary lines. If you can't avoid tax fraud with credit card transactions, that might be a net win for society. Plus, you'd get some extra revenue from people who don't show up AND you can manage capacity so nobody gets run over in the parking lot. 5. For the love of all that is holy, when the parking lot is full, close the parking lot! The traffic jam we observed when leaving is a public safety hazard and truly bad neighbor-type behavior. I doubt my review will matter because people will go here anyway because it seems to be one of the towns main attractions but what a joke this place is. It is so expensive and cheesy and so poorly run. The go carts is a tiny little track that you just go around in circles in cheesy go karts. We went to the kiosk to get tickets for the water slide and then walked up all the stairs to be told we had to have waivers. This was not told to us so we went back to the kiosk and the same older lady with glasses was there that helped us before and we asked her about the waivers and she was so super rude. She said, yeah you have to go back there to the shed and fill them out. I said, "why didn't you tell us that when we got the tickets? We walked all the way up the stairs to be turned away. How are we supposed to know we have to go all the way back there?" She very rudely said, "well we get busy you know." Ok...so that means you can't tell people they need to sign a waiver? Maybe an "I'm sorry," would have been nice. After the water slides we went to coaster and the two girls had their one piece bathing suits on with a shirt and shorts and we were turned away because they didn't have a shirt on. Even though multiple people were wearing tank tops/yoga tops. I don't really understand the difference between that and a one piece swim suit? We would have spent $70. Oh well. My little family and I came here for tubing on Sunday 2/6...We have two daughters (4 year old & 10 months) and it was their first trip to see snow (man made or not). Process was simple..Figure out what you want to do, follow the signs, wait in the line to sign the form, wait in another line to buy tickets then head to the attraction. Keep in mind different attractions have different entrance areas. But the signs will tell you. We arrived around 11am, lines were long but went quick. My 4 year old had a blast! Couple things to note: *If you have a small child like we do (10month old), they will not be allowed in the tubing area. You will have to sit on the other side of the gate and watch from afar. This was truly disappointing bc I wanted to see my daughter play in the snow for the first time. It's a safety issue so disappointed or not, I understand bc some people were pretty careless. **BRING CASH! I can't tell you how many upset parents I saw stomping their way to the ATM bc they didn't read the 100 signs before the ticket booth saying CASH ONLY! *** EMPLOYEES - So many complaints here about the employees being rude. As I sat in the waiting area watching my daughter go tubing I got to overhear some of the conversations next to me. Just know if you find an employee being rude or annoyed, it's probably bc they've been asked the same damn question 90k times within the hour. Idk how many people came and asked the same question over and over again when all they had to do was read a sign. Don't be lazy. Read signs. The process is self explanatory. Every employee I saw dealing with a frustrated guest handled themselves very well, it was the guest that was throwing a fit. Shout out to one of the employees who came across a mom who had the same issue I did with not being able to go in the tubing area with her baby. She wanted her baby to play in the snow. My family and I went here for Father's Day. We wanted to enjoy the day to celebrate but we were welcomed with rude workers especially an old lady who was having a bad day. She asked me how many people in my group. I told her 2 adults and 2 children. She pointed at my daughter who was over 54 inches and she told me that she was not a child and pretty damn rude about. I let it slide because I didn't want our Father's Day celebration to be tainted by this lady's bad attitude. Next, we got on the actual coaster. There were workers yelling at us don't stop keep going! Mind you this is our first time here and we have no idea what to expect. What a fun place to go! We have a 4 and 2 year old. They absolutely loved this place. We went 3 different days and spent 1-3 hours there each of the days. The alpine slides were great. The kids loved riding down and the chair lift going up was fun for them as well. Our 4 year old was able to also do the roller coaster and he loved that. On the third day we did the snow play and had a blast riding the escalator up and figuring out how we were going to go down. Jimmy the worker was awesome he was on the top of the mountain and was super helpful. For those that complain about the process of signing in get over it, it's really not that complicated. You go to one of two places fill out the waiver and then go to the designated booth of the activities you want to do. There are 3 different areas to pay . 1 the roller coaster, 2 the alpine slides and snow play, or 3 soaring eagle, mini golf. Don't over think it and you'll have fun! read more

So today 7/10 we decided to visit alpine waterslide just to cool off a bit but that didn't go as planned. When we got in line to buy our tickets, we're hit with CASH ONLY sign, luckily we had cash. We then were sent to a completely different booth yo fill out waivers. Once we completed that- we proceeded to the waterslide line. (If safety is their main concern- maybe they should worry about the safety of their stairs.) Once we got to the top- my 6 year old was afraid to go alone so then his uncle JON tried going with him- but he was told by one of the lifeguards (Christian) that he wasn't allowed go do so. So then I (mom) and uncle encouraged my baby to go alone, which he did 16-20 seconds afterwards JON went, he wasn't told to stop by either lifeguard. So when we all (family) rode the waterslide, we went back up for second ride and was told by Christian that the rest of the family could ride except uncle because he didn't own the rules. So I proceeded to ask Christian to speak to his manager or someone in a higher position and I was told the following: I am busy I am the manager here I can't leave this unattended Which I reply to: please guide me to where your boss is at and I'll be happy to go He then replied to go the ticket booth, which I did I asked to speak to the manager for the waterslide- then Mark came up to me; I explained the entire situation to him and he said let me get back to you. 10 mins passed by and went back looking for Mark but this time I came across Kevin who claimed to be the manager of manager I will assume he meant supervisor! So he proceeded to say: I don't know what your waiting for, I already spoke to my employee and he said "uncle" didn't follow the rules and right now it's just him banned but if you continue this the whole family will be banned. He then proceeded to say that I (mom) don't care about my child's safety. The fact he say I don't care about my child safety- really infuriated me. So I asked him to his higher management and he said he was the highest manager available and gave me a brochure and said that I could make a complaint to the address there if I wanted to. The key to a successful trip here is to **READ THE SIGNS. There are waivers you need to sign PRIOR to purchasing tickets for EACH ACTIVITY. So if you get in the WRONG LINE because you failed to sign the waiver first.. it will suck!! ALSO, you can sign the waiver **ONLINE on their website just to alleviate some pain. The only bad thing about the whole experience is the line for everything (line for waiver, line to get tickets, line to get on the ride). I came with my family, which included teens and little kids (5 & 3). It is 36" to ride the rides. My 3 y/o was only good for tubing, which worked out since we doubled with him going down. We decided to do two activities: Snow Play and the Coaster. Snow play consisted of tubing down a manmade snow hill. Pay attention to the belt going UP the mountain. It is SLIPPERY before and after. Also, the conveyer belt is not designed to hold so much weight.. and a lot of people will try to get on at the same time, so random stoppage is inevitable. Please pay attention and keep walking, maintain your balance because you could easily definitely get hurt on that thing. The workers running the belt pay no attention really and just let everyone cram in. The snowhill is good, but the tubes kind of suck. I have been tubing multiple times before (lived in ALASKA 3 years) and the tubes I have seen were grand! These are tiny and your BUTT will almost ALWAYS drag on the ice going all the way down. LOL. So once again.. pay attention to that too. I really enjoyed the coaster, which was the main highlight of this experience! Very fun! read more

We only did the mineshaft coaster and that was fun. As a guy who has been to every ride in LA six flags, I would recommend this ride for anyone. You can actually control the speed of the ride which is pretty cool and I think it is the only ride in LA that offers that feature. Another cool part is that the ride is not short, it has breaks in between so it lasts quite long unlike six flag rides that get over in split second. The breaks also make it less scary for people who are scared of rides. Lastly the price! The rides are cheap and you don't have any entry fee to the amusement station, just pay for the rides that you want to go on. I would come back here for sure :) read more

Save your money. The two rides we got on were cool but not worth the $20 a person per ride. None of the workers were very friendly and one just totally ruined the night. It was a very old b*ish working the kiosk by the eagle ride. I'm all about keeping my son in check but he did nothing wrong and she started yelling at him for no reason. It was close to closing time so you can tell she wanted to leave. She made any excuse to try and yell at him. On the way out, she was waving and smiling at us from the kiosk mocking us. We told one of the other employee there, but I didn't really seem like she cared either. This place is fun any season you visit. Embrace the experience and appreciate what they have to offer. I feel that the pricing is fair considering the upkeep and safety precautions, insurance, and services that this place offers. Offered year round: Buy 5 for $25 tickets to go up on the chair lift (only two people on each chair) and kids under 6 don't need a ticket. Then ride down on the cement track on a hand break operated manual go-cart. You can ride the go-cart age 6 and up on your own or put your younger child (age 2 -5) on a parent's lap to ride down the hill. So much fun!! They also have motorized go-carts out front to ride around a small track. $8 per ride price. In the winter, they blow snow to make snow tubing happen. You have to buy a wristband for they whole day to do tubing. $30 per wristband for unlimited rides all day. They have a magic carpet people mover to get you and your tube (they provide tubes of course) up the hill. They allow smaller kids under 6 to ride down with a parent. Kids 6 and up and ride a tube on their own. Again, you won't have to buy a wristband for the kids under 6. In the summer they have the waterslide open. You can either buy individual tickets in a pack of 10 tickets for $10, or for $2 each, or buy a day wristband for I think $15. It is totally worth it to get the wristband because your kids will go on the slide over and over. They cannot swim in the water but they get drenched on the fun slides and seem very satisfied. Every time we have visited the employees are very safety conscious and are on top of the rules. They make sure the kids don't slide down the water slide too soon and help them out of the water if necessary. The slide drops them into a 3 foot pool very forcefully and they go under but if they struggle in any way the life guard is right there. They also have an indoor arcade and snack bar. The bathrooms have showers (for summer). The place is a bit worn around the edges but still well kept and a great place to take the kids or adults who are kids at heart. The nice thing about this place is that everyone in the family from ages 2 and up can participate in all the activities. Finally do these activities at your own risk, the snow tubing and cement track go carting are dangerous if you are reckless and accidents can happen but we have been very lucky to never have any mishaps any time we have visited over the years. They have lockers, an ATM, and ample free parking. If the lines get long, just wait it out because they move quickly. People tend to get into the ticket line in groups so it seems bad but they clear out quickly. read more

The mine coaster is an absolute blast!!!! The fact you can actually control your speed really stands out and makes the thrill that more exhilarating. Getting a video makes the entire experience a bit more fun to look back on. Just wish it had audio. The soaring eagle was quite disappointing, however. Signs here are very misleading. We were lead to believe that you pay $35 for all of the attractions. We get up to the Tubing ticket booth and we ask if this is for everything and the ticket lady said not the lift. So we paid, thinking it was for the other attractions... NOPE. $35 ONLY for the tubing and "snow play" area... $20 for the coaster... etc. I requested to speak with a manager regarding the misleading information we were provided with. Kevin was extremely understanding and offered us a FULL refund even though we went once. I was willing to pay the $7 fee for going down once... on top of this, the moving walkway wasnt working when we went up so we had to drag ourselves up. Sooo essentially we paid for a tube... So overpriced. Save yourself some money and buy a sled or tube and go to Aspen Glen Picnic Park. It's right next to this overpriced place. My issue/confusion with this is that they start the waiver signing line, which leads directly to the Tube ticket line. So first my children loved this place. They had a great time and that's why I'm giving a generous review. Now from a parents POV it's not the greatest. it took 45 mins to get in because waivers had to be completed and there was no online form. If you wanted to complete prior you had to find somewhere to print the form ‍. There is no kind of covid Protocols being followed. They are operating at full capacity, some people are wearing masks some are not. Nothing is being cleaned. No social distancing and they only accept cash. Due to the pandemic I find that odd. I love the alpine slide! As a grown lady, I like the occasional safe but slightly thrilling random adventure, and the alpine slide hits that craving perfectly. For $6 (bargain!) you get to ride the ski lift up the mountain then go careening down on a wheeled sled and pretend you a member of the Jamaican Bobsled Team (keeping that movie relevant for the kids). It's easy and I find it thoroughly enjoyable. One ride is all I need when I visit Big Bear. I went about half an hour before closing on a Monday and the line was short and quick. All of the staff I encountered were pleasant and even took some photos for me at the top of the hill. The parking is ample and free! The reason I left off that fifth star is because the inside of the building that you walk through to get to the ticketing area is pure chaos and feels so grimey, due in part to all the sludge and mud folks track through and wild children. The Alpine Coaster was very fun! However, the line was very disorganized. People weren't standing on the social distancing markers and team members weren't managing that. When you get to the place, it is very disorganized because you can't tell which line was which. The coaster broke down while I was in line for about 20 minutes but didn't tell us anything. Overall, the coaster has very long ride time and can be pretty thrilling if you go full speed. read more
