In doing so I have dealt with every kind of repair shop / service out there, the good, the bad and the ugly. Jonathan Weis at Jonathan's Automotive Repair is without a doubt and by far the best of the best. Jonathan's concern for the safety of travelers is evident and Oriental North Carolina is most fortunate to have access to this level of service and professionalism in automotive care. My wife and I were visiting Oriental when a mechanical issue developed with my truck. Fortunately for us we were only a block away from Jonathan's. I brought my truck to him and rode along with Jonathan on the drive to diagnose the issue. Jonathan was able to quickly and accurately diagnose the problem as being the front left wheel bearing / hub assembly. I requested that both the left and right assemblies be replaced to keep them in common service states, Jonathan was able to accommodate that request. In tearing down the front end hub assemblies it was observed that there were issues with the front brakes that should also be addressed. Jonathan provided photos and recommendations as to the proper repairs. I requested that the brake repairs be completed along with pinion seals in the front and rear differentials that had developed leaks. Jonathan was able to complete all requested repairs in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. The communication, workmanship and cost of service were top notch. I live over ten hours from Oriental, however when future repairs are needed for my or my wife's vehicles, if possible, I will certainly come back to enjoy Oriental's unique atmosphere and Jonathan's excellent automotive repair services.
