My husband and I honestly didn't expect much from this establishment as we drove by all the time on the way to either the Petco or Albertson's in the same plaza but finally tried it out on a whim and couldn't believe we'd been sleeping on this secret (or not so secret to the locals I suppose) gem of a spot for a year... Anyhow, everything we ordered from sushi, sashimi and the rolls were made well with a proper rice to fish ratio but the standout was the sweet shrimp sushi they offered!! With the variety of proper* Asian food let alone sushi that so sadly lacks out in the IE, I felt like I hit the lotto having a go to for sushi in our neighborhood that turned out to be such a treasure of a spot. And of course with the sweet shrimp they'll fry the head for you so that you may eat it whole as a chip! 100% recommend and will be returning with both family and friends in the future. read more

Ordered a sashimi bowl that was supposed to come with rice via doordash. Rice was missing when it was delivered. Considering it cost $24, it's incredibly annoying to get this very simple order wrong. Literally salmon sashimi and rice. That's it. I called to let them know, and the person who answered insisted it didn't come with rice. Be careful especially when ordering via Doordash since people don't care to give you what you paid for. In response to the owner: Yes you should fix your menu. It's not my responsibility to verify what your restaurant advertises on a delivery service platform. The apology did not fix the lost value for the money I spent. My lovely boyfriend Dalton insisted we had to stop here for date night. We are very much AYCE people-- so this was definitely out of our comfort zone. But I'm seriously so blown away. My favorite bites were the Toro and Escolar nigiri, attached in the photo. Management was so friendly and even let us try options that were off-menu. The sushi chefs really enjoyed hearing feedback, it's very clear this is a fun place that people enjoy working in. I don't think I've ever had sushi that's as good as this. All of the flavors are so well thought out and paired together beautifully. Also, as someone who really doesn't like uni, I gave it a try tonight thanks to some encouragement from our friendly waitress, and needless to say, I'm now obsessed. Amagi is incredible, the quality is out of this world. I tend to come here after work just to enjoy the good food and incredible staff. The Owner is beyond friendly and kind, her waitstaff are all a delight and the chefs are incredibly professional and passionate about their work. This is a little sushi shop off Van Buren located in an Albertson's parking lot. There's plenty of room to park, but I did have some difficulty finding this place because the sign is rather small (and so is the inside but that's cool). I came during a weekday afternoon to make it in time for the lunch special and was promptly greeted. Service was very attentive and friendly, although I was also the only customer there when I arrived. I decided to get the AYCE, of course, and decided to get some nigiri and a few rolls too. The food was tasty, although if I had to critique it, it was a bit much on the rice. Also, I'm not sure if it was just me, but the seaweed seemed really chewy which sort of put me off on the rolls, although the taste was fine. The sushi came out pretty quickly, although it did seem like the Cajun nigiri seemed to take longer but I really like them. Overall, fairly decent AYCE sushi option. This is a super cozy sushi spot. The first time my family ate here it was a great menu with solid specials. We often eat at other spots but since we came here we've been wanting to come back more because of the quality of the sushi here. The service is great! The waitresses are super attentive but it helps that its a pretty small spot. This place was amazing! Let's start with their exceptional customer service... Before I begin I want to give you a little back story of what happened... We originally were going to go to Sushi Station down the street but the owner or the guy at the front writing names down was super rude. They had like 10 people inside and said we had to wait 45 min for a party of 4. When we asked again he replied rudely again and at that point we were just upset with the manner in which we were treated. This is where Amagi sushi came in... We yelped for nearby sushi places and came up with Amagi. We noticed that it was 7:30pm and they were closing at 8pm. We hate being "those" people who show up near closing but we were craving sushi and just had an awful experience at the other place. We called and asked if there was a waiting list and they said no and were very pleasant over the phone. Since it was 3 minutes away we decided to shoot our shot. We were a party of 4 and the waitress/hostess was very welcoming and pleasant. The other people in the restaurant (owners probably and a sushi chef) were also very nice. We kept apologizing because we came so late but they didn't seem phased by it. I ordered 3 different orders of sashimi and a roll and a couple of side orders for my husband. The quality of the fish is exquisite! Fresh and delicious. We took our time and all of the staff there were super nice. I definitely recommend coming to this establishment if you want good quality fish and great customer service. Staff is lenient on covid precautions. Staff were all wearing masks. They were accommodating to our small group of 4. The prices are a little high if you're wondering about $$. To be honest I would continue to pay that price given the portions and the quality and freshness of the fish. Thanks Amagi Sushi for your patience and welcoming attitude. I've had sushi in LA Count & Orange County. I was skeptical that the sushi was going to be any good in Riverside County. To my surprise, this place has the sushi in the up n up. I was shocked at the quality, flavor, & service I got.
