We have been coming here for a couple of years. Last night for the first time we asked for omakase. They did not disappoint. It was seriously the best meal we have had in a very long time. The fish is always amazing, trying other things was the best. The staff is so amazing and always so welcoming. They have done a great job with the updates. 10/10 recommend. This is a hidden gem.

Normally I'm an AYCE girl since I would go bankrupt on ordering the salmon sushi pieces but came to lunch with my friend on her work lunch break so we had to stay close. For not being AYCE, I was satisfied. The fish was fresh and they were happy to customize my roll to match one of my favorite rolls from other locations. The music gave upscale swanky restaurant vibes, yet How To Train Your Dragon was on the TV haha. Overall, happy with branching out to a new spot.

my wife and I have been trying to find a good takeout sushi spot in the area. Picked up our order was excited. sushi rolls were already warm more than warm temp upon us already picking them up from the restaurant. Upon getting home and tasting them, we found them to be mostly bland, fish somewhat tasting fresh, but no real distinct flavors. Mexican roll 6/10. Golden tiger roll 4/10. Dragon roll 4/10. Crunch Roll 3/10, and was actually not crunchy at All. We ordered rolls that listed tempura, I included the photo showing the lack of tempura lol very disappointing.

Fave in Riverside Orangecrest area! The protein roll has no rice and it's absolutely delish! The salmon sashimi is amazing too. We've gone to other places but always come back to Amagi . Staff is super friendly always positive energy and service is top tier. Oh must have the spicy garlic edamame!

We came here because of the glowing 4-star reviews, and let me just say -- I feel completely misled. This place is NOT worth the hype. We ordered two rolls and I got the spicy cheese ramen. After one bite, I was honestly disgusted. It had zero flavor, zero spice, and tasted like absolutely nothing. I couldn't even eat it. The worst part? When I told them I couldn't eat it, they refused to take it off the bill. I was stunned. Good restaurants care when a customer is unhappy -- this one clearly doesn't. My husband and I left frustrated, disappointed, and feeling like we had just thrown money away. The reviews here must be fake because there's no way people are eating this food and giving it 4 stars. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. You'll thank me later.

What happened to Sushi Amagi? My teenagers used to love their salmon, but this time they didn't enjoy it. The rolls were mostly rice. Although Sushi Amagi is a bit pricey compared to other sushi places, I have always chosen it for its quality. My husband and l have dined in once and ordered takeout once from Sushi Asahi, and we liked it, but we both agreed that Amagi's quality is superior, despite being pricier. Unfortunately, they disappointed us greatly this time. I was saddened to see how small the salmon pieces were in their salmon roll, and I couldn't even recognize their yellowtail roll. We won't be returning. We paid almost $150 in total for our entire order, but I'd preferred cup noodles. Sadly, this will be our last time ordering from here.

I'm relatively new to the area and have only tried a handful of sushi places, but Amagi Sushi by far has been my favorite. Although not exactly a hole in the wall, its unassuming exterior in a strip mall does not match the top quality customer service and above average sushi. Our waitress was friendly and readily available, but also did not check in incessantly. Plates and trash were always cleared promptly, water cups were never empty, and our party of 5 was offered fresh wasabi, miso soup and dessert all on the house! We ordered 2 sushi boat platters which fed 3 guys and 2 girls--maybe not to the brim like at an AYCE sushi spot, but to a healthy and satisfied level of fullness. Overall I though the rolls were well made and the sashimi/nigiri were fresh and decently proportioned. Maybe it was the 5 soju bottles that kicked in by the time we were done with our meal, but even the the sushi chefs and other waitstaff were über friendly and thanked our entire party on the way out! I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Don't let it's size fool you. This cute spot is packed with flavor. The staff are always on point and flow seamlessly. The suuuuuuushi was so clean and fresh. Prices are what you expect nowadays but for something like sushi, this was definitely worth it. I loved the no rice rolls but omg the Jalapeño Bomb was so gooooooood!!!!! Ah! I want more but my tummy says no so I'll have to come back again VERY soon.

We went here for my daughter-in-law's birthday party and it's kind of a small i'm assuming place but looks are deceiving. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was fantastic but the sushi was excellent. I haven't had it this good in quite a while. Definitely check this place out. It's worth a try so eat local, spend local and shop local.

I am a big fan of shrimp tempura rolls and this place has a lot of variety of these rolls. The go tos are the Perris roll, crunch roll, and basked mussels. The service is good but can be slow at busy times. Overall a good place to try if you're not in a rush.

Upsetting that hours say 9pm I tried to call in a carry out order multiple times , since it's such a small place .. this was around 8pm on a FRIDAY NIGHT no answer , decided to drive there arrive at 8:42 just to be told by a fully staffed restaurant with open sign still fully lighted that they were closed or "kitchen closed " also I was planning to do carry out and the woman was also so rude about it looked at me up and down , and yes I will admit I looked like a bum but just a stress , no make up , in sweats pants and a hoodie tired MOM who wanted sushi , I have noticed management has changed in the last few months and it's not for the better . read more

Wonderful and glorious sushi. I can't believe I have passed by here for years and am just now trying it. The sushi and sashimi was very fresh. The waitress was very attentive. The place is small and there sushi bar is not open yet. However we felt very welcomed and enjoyed everything we ordered. This local place is a gem in Riverside. read more

We ordered take out just today. Salmon was brown and tasted funny. It did not look right nor taste right. All the Avocado was black. We called and a women just laughed and mentioned that her chefs wouldn't do that. Unfortunately, they did. We won't be coming back, especially with the customer service. read more

Food was outstanding, service really great. It is a small place but very neat and tidy. Was seated immediately and asked what we wanted to drink while we looked at the menu. We where a bit early and I like to see what everyone else is ordering but that wasn't happening. Ordered miso soup, was late for the bento box so tried to imitate it. Everything was very tasty. Got the lobster roll, mixed tempura, green tea, etc. I had ordered take out at lunch before but this was the first dinner here. I will return. read more

Had to. Make an account just to leave a review of this place . Our waitress Jayden was wonderful , visited twice with my husband , once tonight and once a few days ago . She was our server both times and both times she was completely alone with a full busy restaurant ! That poor girl was running around everywhere , answering the phone , taking orders , getting drinks and food . Felt terrible for her . But she always kept up a kindly demeanor and smile the whole time . My husband and I were rooting for her all the way The food was amazing both times as well . Lovely small, but quaint, sushi spot off of Van Buren in the Albertsons shopping center. Very diverse menu with some familiar choices. Portions of the kitchen dishes are very hearty and price worthy. If you're doing keto or dieting, this restaurant is the only restaurant I know that offers so many different rolls with no rice. Their staff is phenomenal and give excellent customer service! A M A G I S U S H I This is by far the best sushi place in all of Riverside. Every chance we get for a date night or a lunchdate we come here. The prices are very reasonable and the all you can eat sushi is outstanding. The sushi chefs are always smiling and laughing and I love how the great my family as we walk in. The hostess/waitress is very kind and always chit chats with us about just normal life. She always makes sure our cups never go empty and every roll she has recommended us to try has been superb. We seen the sushi chef slicing up fresh salmon and as soon as we notice we placed an order. Freshest fish I've had, could of been swimming yesterday Even the staff in the back are very sweet. Is Amagi Sushi amazing? Or is it Amagimazing? One thing I noticed right off the bat is that their menu is huge. On this visit I ordered two bento lunch boxes and a sushi roll. It was all good, not extraordinary. Good is good and Amagi's is good. Good service. Good food. Great menu. What about cleanliness? This place is spotless. Trust me, it's good. It's just not broke da mouth good. Sushi by the roll. Or, they do have all you can eat. That's correct, ayce! Amagi's is GOOD. And for you? Perhaps, VERY good. read more

Overall, the food was very good. However, I do feel cheated on 2 of the items I ordered. Do not order the appetizer Calamari. There were only 8 pieces of the calamari rings for $16! I couldn't even take a picture of the dish before it was are up. I was also not happy with the Dragon roll $15. Must of the roll consist of avocado and barely any eel. Service-wise, the waitress was friendly but she disappeared from the floor after giving us our food for about 30 minutes and never checked in with us or was available when we were ready to leave.

That's reflected in the constricted lobby that isn't suitable for dining in, despite a couple tables and chairs that remain unused by the hot line display. Additionally, the limited space effectively cuts the daily selection in half compared with the much restaurant on La Sierra. Sun faded illustrations of menu items on the west-facing wall are still legible, and a few customers in the crowded entryway were ordering made-to-order noodles and entrées. I, however, just wanted a standard two-item combination of orange chicken and jalapeño chicken with fried rice. Once my turn came it went quick and smooth. Fortunately, there are a few outside tables distributed for the customers of this and adjacent restaurants. I found the orange chicken to be crispy and dry. It was towards the end of the night, but still. A bit disappointed and I didn't eat it all. Their take on jalapeño chicken is actually pretty good. Spicy and a good sauce, which the rice soaked up. Summary: The price was fair for the quantity, but I think the limited space and corresponding reduced selection keeps interesting menu choices offered elsewhere to maybe one or two items, of which one display, didn't appeal. Friendly cashier though, but if they have a prime time, it's probably mid afternoon.

The food was really good and consistent with what you'd expect from a solid Yoshinoya location. But what really moved me to write this review wasn't just the food -- it was the staff and how they handled an extremely busy situation. As I was walking in, the drive-thru line was wrapped around the building. The customer in front of me ordered over 20+ plates of food, which clearly backed up the kitchen. Despite that, the staff remained friendly, calm, and professional. You could see the stress in their eyes, but they handled it with grace. The employee at the register was very transparent, kindly explaining that the order would take a while. When it was my turn, she told me the same thing, and I let her know I understood -- because it was obvious they were doing an amazing job under pressure. What really impressed me was overhearing the teamwork in the kitchen. One of the ladies in the back told a line worker to go take their break while she caught up on orders. Everyone seemed to be working in sync, with a rhythm and sense of teamwork that you honestly don't see very often in fast food. It was incredibly well executed. Even with all the chaos, they didn't sacrifice a single ounce of customer service. They catered to every customer, communicated clearly about wait times, and kept a positive attitude throughout. I got my food, it was great, and by the time I finished eating, the drive-thru was still packed -- yet everyone in the dining room looked satisfied and was enjoying their meals. Hands down, this was an awesome operation by this staff. This visit was around 7:30 PM on February 4, 2026. I didn't catch any names, but if any of you ever see this -- please know you were absolute rockstars.

One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. I know I've left a review for Amagi before under a different account I think, but I just had to leave another one! Stopped in after work for some rolls to-go and was, as always, totally floored with their service. Had the manager ask me if I was heading into work or heading home (I was in my uniform) and I told her I was heading home after a rough day. Lo and behold, these awesome folks blessed me with 2 extra rolls (which were absolutely delicious). WOW. This place is great. I am visiting the area and a friend took me here. Much better sushi than I was expecting. And the various rolls are some of the tastiest I've had. I'm normally a straight nigiri guy, but after trying a few bites our thier sushi rolls, I can see the attraction. But the real hidden gems are the soups. The Udon and Ramen soups are incredible. I can't wait to return to explore the menu further. Do yourself a favor and give this restaurant a try before it's too crowded. Food like this doesn't come along every day. read more
