We had a family dinner in Saturday night. I made reservations two days earlier and I'm glad I did. Amanos is a very small place...I counted 13 tables of two. Our party took up four tables. For your reservation they ask for a credit card on file and there is a $50 no-show fee. Dinner was delicious. We started with the fried calzone balls. There are three pretty good sized ones. The cheese blend was superb. I had the Chicken Parmesan which was cooked to perfection, served with spaghetti with marinera sauce. M husband had the Spicy Italian sandwich. It was huge, flavorful and delicious. Only one waitress for all the tables so one must have a bit of patience. She was wonderful and very professional. The food was delicious! It was big enough for 4 people but I decided to eat it myself over the course of the weekend I re-heated it twice and it was just as tasty. The pizza surprisingly reheated well! I would say that the service was okay but I understand considering it was one waiter to 5 different parties. What a disappointment! Crushed red pepper and salt didn't help it. The rosemary lemonade is a great concept, but it was not good, but was somewhat tolerable. The calamari was over cooked and has a gritty texture I'm unaccustomed to calamari having. The calzone part of the pizza was a lot smaller than I expected and had very little pepperoni in it; the pizza part (New Yorker) was really good, but I didn't see any sausage or pepperoni on it as described on the menu. We went to Amani's for my grandson's 17th birthday. First off it's worth the drive and the hype is real. The staff was amazing and friendly. Food and drinks came out quick and we were a large party of 12. The Fat Daddy's which are pictured are really good and come ready to carb out. We also had a couple of pizzas that were perfect. My daughter that lives 10 minutes away will now be getting there pizza from here. Some helpful things is make reservations, the place isn't big and they are busy. Hopefully they find a bigger space so more people can enjoy their great food. The Fat Daddy can and should be shared. I think I was the only one that finished mine and I came hungry. I saw this restaurant all over Tiktok and was excited to try it out! I had to wait until I found myself in that part of town (it's far from me, I'm in Henderson). Well this past weekend I found myself in this part of town and decided to stop by and it was soooo worth it! The staff up front is very nice and helpful. I had made a Yelp reservation but unexpectedly arrived an hour early and they were able to accommodate me with no problems. The restaurant is very small with a tiny seating area...but that just makes it nice and cozy :) Bridget (I believe that was her name) was our amazing server! She was so pleasant and helpful explaining the menu. We order a dozen garlic knots to start and it was a great start! It comes with homemade marinara sauce and that was finger licking good! We ordered the New Yorker and Chef's Favorite pizza, both were small because we knew that pizzza and pasta would be way to much if the pizzas were large portions. We also ordered their house spaghetti and fettuccine alfredo as pasta dishes not the Fat Baby's. They are known for their signature fat baby's but it didn't sound appealing to us. We also ordered the chicken saltimbocca. The pasta sauces were not heavy which we were shocked because we were expecting a heavy and dense sauce. I preferred the marinara over the alfredo. Half of us enjoyed the chicken saltimbocca, the other half thought it was a little salty. Prices were average. Want to come back and try their famous pizzas with the white sauces next round that look oh so good. Great place to come with family and friends, or a casual date, very child friendly and laid back.
