I have officially found the best thai food in the world. Popped in for lunch on a weekday and it was so cozy. Only a few folks in, all appeared to be regulars based on the way they were talking. You can certainly tell this is a community hot bed. The workers were awesome. Kept my water full, a smile on my face, and my food hot. Vibes are cozy, and the food is spicy. They have some crazy solid consumer friendly lunch specials.

Ordered delivery for dinner one night - Tom yum soup, Gang massaman and Pad see ew with chicken. The pad see ew was the best of the three, though it was a little salty. Overall I thought the food was solid, if nothing special. Will stick to Tuk Tuk and Entaice for delivery in my area. 3.5 stars.

I'm rarely in Greenpoint, so I took an opportunity to try a restaurant while I was there, and picked from a couple of Thai places near where I was, so that's how I ended up here. I use Pad Thai as my measuring stick for judging how much I like a Thai place, and the Pad Thai here was good - not the best, but good. The flavors could have been a little stronger but it was otherwise a nice dinner. I appreciate that the tofu was steamed/not fried and that there was a generous amount of crushed peanuts. Very friendly and attentive staff. They weren't too busy yet when I was there since I came in right after they opened in a weeknight, but they were on top of filling up my water glass, checking if I wanted a box to take home my leftovers, and when I wanted the check - al with a courteous smile.

I love revisiting favorite restaurants and Little Tiffin is one of my faves when I'm in Greenpoint. As I've stated in previous review, Little Tiffin means a light midday meal. It's impossible to have a light meal here because everything tastes and looks delicious. First, the ambience is soothing and when I walk in, I feel like I'm in the owner's house. There is a cozy rustic feel to it and the bar is a great place to sit on a rainy day. The chairs are multicolored wood alongside wooden tables. Then there is pretty pottery and plants adorning the walls. Second, the menu from 12-4pm offers Lunch Specials: entree plus appetizer, choice of broth or Thai salad. Today I ordered my usual, Pad se Ew with chicken and Thai salad, and of course, I ordered their delicious Thai iced tea. Consistently delicious! Next time I am going to try other options judging from the Yelp reviews, the dumplings are scrumptious. Lastly, today I met the owner who happened to service me. I didn't know at first and I told her how much I loved this place! Her name is Monurai Bhakdina. She is a lovely person and should be proud of her restaurant! Khob Khun Ka to the entire Little Tiffin team! ( Thank you in Thai)

Decent but not fantastic! I came here with my fiance and tried a variety of dishes. We had the papaya salad, fried calamari, morning glory, pad kee mao and Thai coffee/tea. The food was okay but nothing was fantastic. The Thai food scene has really exploded with phenomenal options in NYC, so I sadly can't see myself coming back. Additionally, my fiance had an intense stomach ache after the meal. 3/5, not bad but not great

Amazing Thai place and great service in Greenpoint, Brooklyn! Very lively it was a Friday night we walked in around 8pm. It was packed but they soon after take us to the bar counter which was even better that all the noise you can behind it and lovely bartender :) all the food was amazing, the Basil Fried Rice you must to try and feel the Thailand!

I came to this place for the first time as suggested by a friend who's Thai. I arrived first and they still sat me without my entire party which was surprising because the dinner rush was already in full swing. The ambiance is so cozy and precious, love the woodsy feel and retro yet modern vibe. The ceiling was really high too, or maybe just made it appear that way from the decor on the sides. Our server Gigi was friendly and attentive, was helpful answering any questions, we were particularly looking for her recommendations prior to us ordering. An observation I noticed was that all the staff members assist in making sure your water is filled to the tip top of your glass, everyone helps run food to the tables etc. Impressive teamwork! What we ordered: Apps: Khanom Jeeb Pak (veg dumplings) Tom Kha (soup) Entrees: Yum Pak Boong Grob (crispy morning glory salad) Kua Gling (string beans in Thai paste) I met the sweet, small and mighty owner, Moni! She's a burst of energy and so hospitable. Thanks so much, I plan to come back to try lunch!

    Khao Soi Gai

This place was such a vibe. I didn't make reservations but did a walk in for bar. I got the Khao Soi Gai. The chicken was so tender and the noodles were perfect. The soup was amazing and flavorful. With the addition of fried noodles on the side hit the spot. Also got myself a thai iced tea. Would recommend coming back here!

I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews on yelp! It is the best thai food I've had in nyc so far. I came here with my friend who recommended this place and we shared everything. I highly recommend their fried tofu, roast duck red curry and pad thai. They also have tasty cocktails.

I'll start by saying I don't really like Thai food. I don't like the smell of fish sauce, and I usually find the noodles too thick. But my foodie wife loves this place, and another couple wanted to try it, so we met there. My wife says their soup is the best in the area, a perfect blend of sweet and sour. I'm on a diet, but the mango sticky rice looked amazing. They're getting five stars because I love the ambiance: cozy, with space for our stroller, upbeat Thai music from the 70s, and interesting photographs from Thailand on the walls. Our server even took our picture twice. So even though I don't like Thai food, this was a very pleasant experience, and if you do like Thai food, it will probably be even better.

Delicious and affordable spot in Greenpoint with friendly and efficient service! Highly recommend sharing a variety of plates with friends; my group of four shared the khanom jeeb, pad see ew with beef, massaman curry with shrimp, bamee puu, khao mok gai (chicken biryani), sticky rice with custard, and thai tea tart (+ a bottle of sake). It's hard to pick a favorite because everything was so delicious! Great service was icing on the cake. I'll be back to Little Tiffin :)

I never write reviews but this was probably the best Thai I've ever had! I got it to go but everyone there was super friendly and the inside was cute. Definitely will be dining in soon. Delicious Thai iced tea and the Gang Keaw Wan was the perfect amount of spicy

My husband and I discovered this restaurant while out bike riding one day in Greenpoint. Ever since then we love coming back. We sat twice outdoors during the summer time and once indoor during the fall. They're always busy so I recommend checking with the restaurant. The restaurant is cozy and intimate with dimmed lighting. I love tne bathroom decor.. it's filled with vintage photos and makes it enjoyable to stare at while you wash your hands. We tried several dishes on the menu but our must haves whenever we come are the Crab Fried Rice and Beef Pad See Ew. Then we usually add in 1 or 2 more appetizers to complete our me. Dishes are plentiful and always fill us up. Can't wait to dine in again!

For the main entree, my eyes caught the attention of clay pot mix-fried rice with shrimp, chicken, sweet sausage, and my partner chose shrimp pad thai. Nothing really stood out with the dishes; I found it to be a bit Americanized, having eaten in so many Thai restaurants around New York City. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here; our food came in timely fashion, and the customer service is good as well, but it's probably not your place if you are seeking a more authentic Thai-style cooking.

It was like a sprinkle of Thai on a classic tuna ceviche. Note the taro chips are a little thicker than a typical chip! The pork jowl wasn't as crispy as I expected but it was still flavorful and the portion size was huge, considering how it was an appetizer. We got pineapple lychee crispy duck, crab fried rice, and kana crispy pork over rice as our entree. ALL WERE SO GOOD! The curry for the pineapple lychee crispy duck was so creamy and flavorful, with the duck portion being huge and being the perfect texture. I loved that it was crispy and didn't get soggy fast in the curry. The crab fried rice was top tier as there were SO MANY HUGE CRAB PIECES!! You can definitely tell that it had flavors of seafood/crab.. they did not skimp out! And the kana crispy pork over rice was huge portion as well, but note that it was a big strong/saltier than the other dishes. For dessert, the pandan coconut pudding custard was SO yummy. It was warm and so flavorful and creamy!! I fell in love with Brooklyn even more after coming here. Highly recommend!!

Compared to all those fantastic meals the flavors here still stand out and I'm excited to read that they're expanding with additional locations. They have a phenomenal and lengthy beer selection, which is fun because it complements the spicy fried dishes quite well. The fried branzino and shrimp and squid in salted duck yolk were very tasty with white rice but the dish that lit up my taste buds was the Kai Jeow Pu- colossal crab omelette. The egg was deep fried in an aromatic oil and filled with fresh, large pieces of crab and served with a phenomenal zesty sauce. The place is tiny and no frills, and our server chafed at my partner for pronouncing a beer on their menu incorrectly, which just added to the experience. I loved it here!

I enjoyed the food and the event so much that I've returned and told others to go as well. What I like the most is that Chiangmai's expansive menu showcases aspects of Thai cuisine that you're probably not getting at your neighborhood spot. Many items are Northern Thai style dishes. I'd never had Khao Soi before coming here and I was blown away. The chiangmai sausage is also delicious. The roasted duck curry boasts deep flavor while also maintaining the crispiest duck skin. For appetizers, we started with the crispy salmon belly bites and the moo ping. Frying salmon is risky, but the fattiness of the belly keeps it from drying out. The moo ping is nicely grilled and served with a sweet sauce. You just can't go wrong ordering meat on a stick. As an entree, I tried the Gaeng Awm Nur, a soup-like beef dish served with a side of sticky rice. Our server had been really nice and welcoming, so I felt ok asking how I should eat my meal. She advised that I make a ball of some sticky rice with my hand, mash it a bit, and then dip it into the soup. Thai food achievement unlocked! Now I know what to do next time I'm served sticky rice. There's so much on the menu it can be hard to choose. This is encouragement to go with someone else who enjoys food so you can choose things to share! You won't be disappointed and in fact may find that your regular Thai spots could step up their game in comparison.
