I'm not sure what's happened to Vinaigrette, but the entire experience was completely disappointing. I asked the server to bring bread with our meal and was presented with some kind of focaccia bread stick that was hard and stale. What happened to the wonderful bread that used to be served there! I ordered the Tuna Salad, and my friend ordered the Beet Salad. While there was a generous amount of tuna, it was shredded into very small pieces and the salad was dry. It was completely underwhelming and unsatisfying. My friend commented the dressing on her salad was very sweet and the pistachios were ground up into the goat cheese. I'm very surprised at the quality of the dishes as I've never had a less than great experience there prior to this experience. I hope this was an isolated incident but will think twice about returning.

The orange blossom tres leche cake was outstanding, with the cake and meringue cooked to perfection (both with great consistency), and the lowkey orange blossom flavor complimenting things very nicely. We ate at the bar, Ben the bartender was a great server. His notes on the dishes were informative and accurate, and he also recommended some places in and around Santa Fe for us to checkout... I've been hearing about Joseph's for some time, and on my most recent visit to Santa Fe finally visited for dinner. It was the meal of the trip. The restaurant itself has a charming neighborhoody feel with several rooms, wood beams, local art, and adequate spacing between tables (one of my pet peeves is the lack of privacy caused by tables too close together.) The food. Oh my. Food should not bring me this much pleasure... It's an award winner, so call ahead.

My only issue was the metal chopsticks made it very hard to grab. My partner tried the bison burger which I had a bite of and found to be really good as well. We also ordered some of the focaccia bread which I was a little bummed looked more like a regular loaf of bread then focaccia. Still was good but probably wouldn't order again. All in all great spot for anyone wanting a fresh dish or gluten free options.

The steak was cooked to perfection and, surprisingly, had very little fat. The duck fat potatoes were soft, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the meal. I had scallops with each one placed beautifully on top of of really interesting wild rice and finished with toasted coconut. The pineapple salsa and the Hoja Santa Fe Oil were placed in small rounds in the middle of the dish because they had some kick to them. What was especially impressive, is the gentleman who brought out my meal leaned over and said that the Chef wanted to let me know that the two items in the small dishes had heat to them, but I was encouraged to give them a try for the full flavor. Impressive! I was able to enjoy the pineapple salsa, but the oil was a little too spicy for me, but I'm glad I tried it. Dessert had 3-4 choices: apple pie/Taos vanilla ice cream, butternut squash pie /Taos vanilla ice cream, chocolate torte, tres leches cake. We had the apple pie and tres leches, both were fantastic. We also ordered a couple of glasses of wine and an espresso (again one of the best I had!). Top it all off with a beautiful dining room, caring and attentive staff, this was a phenomenal experience.
