This was our special NYE meal. The restaurant was cozy. It has a lot of small rooms with a few tables in each. The waiters were continually bumping the back of my chair when they were delivering food to the table next to us. Other rooms didn't look as tight. The food made up for it. Food was delicious. I ordered the pumpkin ravioli for my first course. This was delicious. however, the pumpkin amounts were not the same in every ravioli. My first ravioli had the most pumpkin in it and was so delicious. I kept expecting to have that same amount of pumpkin but the rest barely had any. My partner ordered the Steak Frites, which he enjoyed, but there were no veggies, which I always expect with a meal. I ordered the rack of lamb, with carrots, potatoes and turnips. Absolutely delicious and I had plenty of veggies to share. Last, we both ordered the apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream. Amazing meal. Trout Rilette, Chanterelle & Leek Crêpes, Duck Leg Confit, Fisherman's Stew, Cavatelli and Fruit Crisp were all delicious. Had a bottle of Pinot Blanc from Alsace and a 1/2 btl of Gigondas from the Rhone. I really love it when restaurants have a decent selection of 1/2 btls. As we were 3 and it was a week night, two bottles would have been too much. Service was spot on and it is a beautiful restaurant. Will be back! read more

A culinary delight. Came here last night and made a reservation for 6 o'clock. We found close parking nearby and the place wasn't too full. But with the separate rooms for different tables, it could get quite loud in those rooms. Service started out attentive at first, then got slower towards the end (overall, we were there about 2 hours). The menu that was online wasn't quite the same as what they had in the restaurant (no shrimp and scallop ravioli). My friend got the Caesar salad with the crunchy scallops ($10 and adding $15 for the scallops) and as we could tell from other diners nearby as well, the croutons were a little too crunchy. I ended up with the appetize size of the cavatelli (for $20 and which was plentiful) and had fava beans, mushrooms, bell peppers, and a black truffle cream sauce- delicious. The gin and tonic and house coffee were also good. We each got a dessert ($12 each) at the end- creme brulee and a chocolate pot de creme with Chantilly cream and berries- yum. Always love eating at 315 while in Santa Fe. The outdoor patio is the best during summer months. There was a band playing across the street at the pink adobe and you could hear it all the way at the 315 patio and it wasn't too loud or too faint, just perfect. Service is always impeccable. 315 has one of the best wine selections in town, but the drinks are amazing too. I had the oysters in half shell, their minionet sauce is homemade and fabulous. Their menu changes seasonally, so be prepared to have to choose from a new menu all the time. Also had the spinach salad with local morel mushrooms and also the rack of lamb. The lamb was perfection. As a side, why not a plate full of more morels, just lightly pan fried with olive oil- so good. Always a pleasure to be able to eat here. read more

Originally sat us in the back off a pantry, but we were able to move to the best table in the main dining area with just a little nudge. Started with Happy Hour appetizers $2 shrimp and oysters. Many more to choose from. One person had the stuffed squash flower appetizer with goat cheese. Wide variety of entrees chosen. Salmon with veggies and mashed looked very inviting. Enough left to take home. Basil wrapped shrimp with curry sauce modest in size but very tasty. Shrimp were lightly battered and cooked to perfection. Clean plate club. Chicken Paella was the third entree. It came on a bed of rice and corn. Portion was generous and presentation was very nice. Clean plate club. I had the Fisherman's Stew. A hearty saffron broth loaded with shrimp, mussels, fish, clams and scallops. Potatoes, corn, radishes and avocado supported the stock which was delicious. Lest I say, CPC. We ended the meal with raspberry torte and coffee, and left more than satisfied. Service was very good, ambience was inviting and intimate. Highly recommend without any reservations. Last Tuesday evening on 03/04/2025 I was in a group of seven friends who arrived at the restaurant. We were seated in a comfortable area and after a while gave our drink and food orders. My wife's and my order arrived, and we expected our friends' food would arrive momentarily. After about an hour no more food had been delivered to the table, and one friend had to leave without having eaten dinner, to play guitar for a the Ron Crowder Band's Mardi Gras gig at Cowgirl BBQ. (An amazing show!) Finally the food for others arrived. My wife and I had already long finished our meal. No apology, no explanation. Never a word from our server or management to fill us in as to why the delay. Other guests in the same area who were seated after us had their food delivered well before our friends' food arrived. The bill arrived with an error (there were 3 ravioli orders, not 4), and no explanation or apology from the server. I asked to speak with the manager, and she apologized but with no explanation as to what caused the delay, and in fact she refused to give any details even though I pointedly asked what was the reason. I'm not a grouch, I almost never complain or give negative review because I understand mistakes happen, having been a waiter at a fancy place during my college days. I am happy to go along with the flow if I'm kept in the loop. But the fact there was no communication at any point about whatever was going on, and the weak salsa lukewarm apology from the manager indicates of serious customer service issues. Was this the manager's first day on the job?Communication with your guests is key, and 315 completely dropped the ball. If this were my restaurant and this debacle had happened, my manager would have comped the entire table with a sincere apology and explanation. Then we would make lemonade out this lemon experience at the next mandatory manager/server/kitchen training session. I will not choose on my own to again visit the establishment due to the rude treatment I and my friends were afforded. Too bad, because the food was very good. read more

A hidden gem on Old Santa Fe Trail, next to a hotel parking lot. Easy to miss but worth the effort. We found it to be very crowded as we entered and had to wait quite a bit before a table was found. Of course, we arrived during Restaurant Week which is understandable. Fixed price menu had a few changes but we were told we could still order the soup that had been changed that day. Flexibility is always a good sign that the customers are the focus. Busy and crowded but the service was swift and accommodating. Worth going back. I hear they have oyster specials on Tuesdays. Me and my sisters family dined at 315 on July 16, we were super excited to try it out - however we were quite disappointed with the service and the food. Our server couldn't understand the drink menu too well, we asked for the gimlet and sadly my sisters arrived in a glass that had a chip on it. When I placed the order for the foi gras, I asked for a side salad. I wish the server told me that the foi gras came with salad. Food was alright. My son ordered the salmon, it was a little too buttery. It didn't settle with his tummy. However the mussels were good, my nieces and daughter ordered the same thing. There are good cocktails and there are perfect cocktails. Ours were both perfect. We both opted for the prix fixe menu because it was so tempting. The appetizers were delicious. The Bœuf Bourgogne was excellent. And the apple crisp tasted like Christmas. The wine list is excellent, so many great options at very reasonable prices. Although we have driven past 315 numerous times, it took a friend inviting us to dinner to go there To experience it .. . And wow, have we missed out! An intimate setting with white tablecloth and napkins, we had no idea what to expect, but knowing our friend, we knew it would be good. We began with the quail appetizer, and just the presentation impressed us - and we hadn't even tried it. My husband and I split it, and we both would have loved to have the whole thing for ourselves - but we had to save room for the remainder of the meal. Then I ordered the Fisherman's Stew while he had the Fried Chicken. Good thing I ordered the small bowl of stew, as it was more than enough for a meal - though its tastiness left me wanting for more. My husband said his chicken rivaled any he had ever had, and the sides were just as delicious. Our friend had the duck, and he didn't leave much on his plate either! And of course, we had to have dessert, and although all were good, I have to comment on the house-made vanilla ice cream. Rarely does a person experience vanilla ice cream with the intensity of the vanilla that I experienced. It was "lick-the-plate" fabulous! All of the servers seemed happy to be working at the restaurant (which is always a good sign), and their professional approach made dining a pleasure. It didn't taste any different from fast food fried chicken. The New York strip steak was burnt on the outside which made the inside harder to chew than usual. Stumbled on this place while walking around Santa Fe, and decided to come back for a drink in the evening. Glad we did! Cute little bistro type place, has a full menu, great bar area, outdoor heated seating and nice cozy indoor seating. We chose indoors as a little chilly outside! The daily specials menu had am amazing sounding entree on it that we ended up getting just out of curiosity because of the mushrooms and corn flan . Plus scallops are our thing. It was so interesting flavor wise and looked amazing, truffle corn flan was so rich with pieces of corn, but a creamy sauce around it, the chanterelle mushrooms were so different from anything I've eaten before. But just melt in your mouth, but still meaty. The sauce was amazing , buttery, great to swipe the bread through, well worth the price and glad we checked in on Yelp as it gave us a free dessert! We chose the apple cobbler, again wonderful rich buttery cobbler and lovely cinnamony apples, and delicious vanilla ice cream. Plus sliced strawberries. Great freebie! So went for a drink and came out pretty full! The Prosecco was delish too, 315 is a great spot for unusual dishes and a quite atmosphere. Great service too. Enjoyed every minute! read more

We haven't been to 315 in years and years; that was a mistake! I had dinner with a group of 14 (part of the Santa Fe Foodies). Everything everyone ordered was top-notch, and everyone in the group was extremely happy with all aspects of the food and service. My wife and I ordered off the "Fish House Menu" because we know 315 gets all its fish from the local Fishmonger here in Santa Fe (Above Sea Level), and the quality is as good as anywhere in the US. So, you out-of-towners, don't worry that you're in the high desert; if you want great fish, this is the place. We started with Sauteed Soft Shell Crab, a favorite of mine that I always order when I see it on a menu (it is a rarity). It was outstanding in every way. The green curry sauce was to die for. Then we had the Crispy Scallops. Good, but more like deep-fried baby scallops, which, while tasty, are not on par with the crab. Still enjoyable. For mains, we split a half order of Black Mussels and the Grilled Branzino. Both were superb. The sauce with the mussels was outstanding. One person at our table had the Rack of Lamb and raved about it; another tried the French Fried Chicken and was equally enthralled with this meal. The service was just outstanding in every respect, and Chef Moskow runs a very tight ship here. Benjamin was our main server, but he was assisted by a team of at least five others, and everyone was super attentive and professional. It is clear why 315 Bistro has been around for decades. Got Steak Frites and a fresh organic greens salad. $16 for a handful of greens, a couple of radish slices and 4 halves of everyday cherry tomatoes. I don't mind paying for quality but this wasn't a premium salad. Steak arrived, I'd asked for Au Poivre. Nope, just grilled with an off tasting butter sauce on the side. Cooked fine, middle was somewhat tender (not near steakhouse quality tho) and tasty. About 3" from the "toe", meat got tough and had an off taste. Lots of nice crisp frites tho. Whoopee. We had a lovely dinner for 4 on the patio on a warm busy evening. The service was attentive and any questions about the menu items were easily answered by the staff. We all enjoyed our food and drinks. the menu had something for everyone from seafood to vegetarian to steaks. We would definitely return. Would not recommend- at least on a Friday night. We had reservations and were celebrating a friend's birthday. Our server was nice but was really not attentive and we waited a very long time to get drinks or place any orders. The worst part was a problem with one of the entrees and how the manager responded. Our guest ordered fried chicken and the chicken breast was bloody and bloodied the plate when cut into. This was brought to the attention of the server who at least notified management. The manager came over and told the guest, " it happens sometimes" dismissively and rubbed her back. She leaned away from him and asked him not to touch her. He didn't apologize or offer any solutions/ explanations. He walked off and never checked on the table again. Having worked in the food service industry I understand that undercooked food can happen in a rush. I think the experience could have been recoverable if we were treated differently. I was embarrassed to have brought our friend here for her birthday. If you are going to spend a decent amount on an evening out, I would recommend checking out the 4 Seasons or El Nido instead. Arrived on time to be shown to a bad table in the back of restaurant right by the service door and would not be able to have heat lamps because of a overhang above the table. The host was very huffy about moving us. The two of our party of 6 had the steak frites. Both reported substandard steaks that were quite thin for the price and the poivre sauce was watery and tasteless. Apple crisp was good with the tiniest scoop of ice cream Ive ever seen for $3 extra. The good parts? Our server was excellent (and did her best to fix what was unfixable) as were the cocktails. But when it came to entrees, this was truly one of the worst meals I have had in as long as I can remember. My friend and I each had the prixe fixe dinner. The choices seemed interesting although not necessarily paired well. The appetizers a mushroom flatbread and pate were decent and we had high hopes. The entrees were inedible (in fact most went home with us for the dog). The sauce on pork schnitzel was overpowering with a sweet ginger flavor that did not go well at all. I should have complained but scraped it off instead. Still the dish was inedible. The branzino was dry and overcooked. I did complain on this. Our server apologized and explained that the baked version we had is different than how they usually make it on the menu version which is pan seared (I understood the tasting menu portions to be smaller versions of the menu items, but apparently not so). She was nice, took it back and brought the menu version which was cooked better. However, the fish itself was very fishy tasting and did not seem fresh. We did not eat much of it and we both left with stomach aches that made me rethink giving the food to the dog after all. The desserts, a berry vanilla panna cotta and chocolate pots du crème were decent. But the entrees were both so terrible it tainted the entire experience. My advice is skip this one, there are far better places in Santa Fe to eat. read more

First off, getting a table can be a challenge. Even an off season Tuesday night requires a reservation along with a 20 minute wait in the bar. Not a problem as long as we know going in. Second, this is a full evening dining experience. Plan for 2-3 hours. Third, the food and experience make it totally worthwhile! Great wines...check! Great cocktails...check! I made a reservation using OpenTable for 7:00 this evening. I arrived at the restaurant and could see my reservation on their computer, but I was told they did not accept reservations after 6:30 and that my reservation would not be honored. I can't believe as restaurants are starting back up, that's the hospitality I'd receive. I ended up walking back to my hotel in the snow and ordering pizza to be delivered. I hope the same total lack of hospitality is visited on this establishment by the community. Shame on them for turning people away who made reservations in good faith. I am also contacting OpenTable about my terrible experience. I've had nothing but wonderful service and hospitality everywhere else in Santa Fe, so my advice is go ANYWHERE else! read more
