I stopped in here yesterday to have a remote key programmed for my Jeep. Unfortunately since I only had one key (and it was a clone), Amazing did not have the tools necessary to be able to program the key for me. However, instead of just sending me away, they gave me the number for another local Locksmith (that specializes in automobiles) that they knew could help me. I have to say Amazing is Amazing. Called later at night around 9pm on a Sunday night while having dinner. I locked my keys in my office i called Amazing's 24 hour number and they answered right away. Jake answered I explained to him what happened he said , yeah I can get that for you I can be there in 15 mins. Wow I said to him, I can be at the office building in 30 mins after I eat. He was there right on time, he came in was very polite he knew what he was doing, got me unlocked in mins. He gave me a hand shake asked me how my day was. Very nice guy. Wow. You want quality customer service? It doesn't get any better than the service at Amazing Lock. Over the weekend the key to my car broke in half as I was unlocking my car door. Thankfully, it didn't break off in the lock so I had both pieces. I went to Menard's and Home Depot and was told that they couldn't make a copy of a broken key. Home Depot recommended me to Amazing Lock (thanks Ed!) and they were absolutely fantastic. I came in, the made me a new key, and I was mobile again all in a few minutes for just around $5. My key jammed the front door lock. I left a message via yelp then called just in case. Ken answered the phone right away and asked me a few questions about the problem, said he could come to my house the next morning somewhere between 9-10. He asked me to email a pic of the problem. So I did. The next morning, I got a call from someone at the company following up my email. I told him Ken was already on it! Ken arrived on time, changed the lock and the charge was very reasonable! After he left, my husband reminded me that I was supposed to ask about the other two doors' locks. I called again to ask if someone could come back anytime this week. Called on a Friday to set up new lock service and they showed up on Monday. I was pleased with the quick scheduling. Nick showed up on time and he quickly installed the new locks. We had a problem with one of our doors which I think was from the door as opposed to the lock, but when I called they came in very quickly and helped us out at no charge. I had to change my locks in a hurry after a psycho dog walker refused to return my keys (and, no, I do NOT owe her money). I called Dexter, but they were booked in to the following week so I was referred to Amazing. They fit me in the very next day for a 11 to 1 time slot. I got a call about 9:30 from the technician that he could be here early if I was home. Yes, yes, yes! I wanted the locks changed ASAP. I added on some additional work for the tech. He was pleasant and competent (explained why one of my locks was not working properly-it was the key not the lock). All done in like an hour or less. Door has a great lock but suffering from old age and broke. Bill at Amazing Lock came out in 30 minutes (as their dispatcher said he would). Devised a temporary solution (which to this day is holding up well). Also had a line into a supplier who could provide replacement at reasonable cost. I have used amazing lock service 3 times since I have been in the city. 1st time was locked out of my condo. Very quick and affordable service. We just had all our locks on our condo building replaced with high security locks. They were great to deal with and did a wonderful job. They had to come back because I ordered an extra door guard and showed up the following week as promised. Would definitely recommend. These guys are the real deal. I highly recommend them. About 1 yr ago I had all of my exterior door hardware/locks replaced by another "locksmith" in the Lakeview area. It took this OTHER guy hours and hours to install the locks in the first place and he did a poor job. When I called the OTHER guy back to fix it, he was there for another few hours and made things worse. Needless to say, I didn't want to call him again regardless of the warranty.
