The guy arrived within 30 minutes, was super friendly, and he unlocked my door in what had to be under 30 seconds (seriously, it was that fast). The only bummer is that it cost $100 (flat fee) for unlocking a single door. But dropping a hundred bucks is worth it to be reunited with your keys, I suppose. read more

This company lives up to it's name. AMAZING. My boyfriend's bike was locked to a pole when the old Kryptonite lock decided it would no longer allow the key to turn. After exploring options with the CFD (they've cut bike locks for me before) and the CPD (20 minutes on hold with 311 only to be told by a very curt, ignorant person that "We haven't done that for 10 years -- which is BS, I had it down twice in 2009), we had about exhausted all our options. In a last ditch effort, I Google mapped locksmiths. The two closest ones were in Dexter Lock Serivce and Amazing. Dexter said they could help us but not till next week and weren't even sure they could do it since they would need an outlet to plug in a saw. This was on the street, so of course that would be problematic at best. Next was Amazing Lock Service, who are just down the street from this other one. They answeed r the phone in two rings (Dexter rang like seven times before anyone picked up). I explained the situation to the man and he said they could be there within an hour. The guy -- our hero, Frank -- showed up on time and with the help of a dremel saw operated on a portable battery, he had that old Kryptonite lock off there in less than 20 minutes. He was extremely courteous and conscientious, showed up on time and did quick work. No hassle, no waiting around, no ridiculous wait time of seven days. Do I recommend Amazing Lock Service? Put it this way, there aren't enough stars in the sky to adequately rate the service. It cost $90 for the job -- but you can download a $10-off coupon on their website. which brought it down to $80. It seems like a lot of money, but honestly it was a lot less than we thought it would be. And when you consider that "abandonment" was climbing to the top of our options list, it was worth every penny. I cannot recommend these guys enough. If all the locksmiths are as good and prompt as Frank, then you cannot go wrong. I'm saving their number in my phone if I ever find myself in a bind like this again. read more

Needed locked-out service recently. They came out within a half hour. Picked the 2 locks in about 10 mins. Charged $90 for one lock, and $25 for a second. I've also used them for lock maintenance and repairs at my condo building where I serve on the board. They usually make service calls within the same day if parts are available. I needed lockout service twice in 48 hours. Both times, Amazing Lock showed up within the 30 minutes quoted. Bill was professional and quick to pick the lock. Other services may charge less initially, but in my experience they will often say they can't pick the lock and then charge triple to drill it. Also, other services didn't verify that I actually lived at the place they were opening. Amazing, on the other hand, took several steps to verify my address.
