Not only do these guys do locks....they do pops too! (get it....pop and lock...?) So the lock basically fell out of the front door to my condo building. I managed to jam it back in there in such a way that my hallway wouldn't be come a ho(bo)tel. So I called right as they were closing and the guy said they'd be there in an hour. I wasn't planning on such promt-ness so I told him to come the next morning instead. He said someone would be there between 7:30-9am. Sure enough, the guy showed up at 7:35! He was super friendly (sorry I don't remember your name, mr nice locksmith guy). Fixed the lock in about 10min flat. Even adjusted the door so that it'd close on it's own w/o having to slam it. You know what sucks worse than having your purse stolen? Knowing someone has your address and keys to your house. After dealing with the police I knew a locksmith would be one of the "priority" calls, but when a friend who is a cop confirmed I needed to change my locks pronto, I called Amazing Lock on my way home. Jacob was able to meet up within an hour and he was awesome - he worked quickly, and changed all my doors and even my mailbox key. I had never had anything like this done before so I have no idea what the pricing normally is, but let's be honest - I wasn't going to put a price on my safety, so I happily ponied up $240. Plus Jacob was so nice and actually fun to talk to, which helped during an incredibly stressful night. I also appreciated that he was honest that I should take my car to the dealer to get it rekeyed (because the jagoff thief got those keys too), instead of trying to do it himself. I always appreciate when a business can admit something is outside of their area of expertise. Copies of car keys = yes, rekeying a car = no. I'm so glad that I made a note of Amazing's phone number with my second lockout, because the third one came ten days later. (I think it's the ease of turning a knob and locking the door, before realizing you don't have your keys on you. Also the cheap keychains that fall apart so easily. But how can keys fall to the ground/get lost without a sound?! Boggles the mind.) Amazing told me it would be a $90 flat fee, and they'd get there within 1/2 hour. I did a quick run to CVS and they were there when I returned, merely 15 minutes later. I was in my apt. within five minutes: quick and relatively painless. We called on a Sunday at 8pm. Jake came out in less than 30 minutes! He was knowledgeable, nice and fixed our issue quickly. What was the issue? Well the door handle on the side didn't work in addition to the deadbolt getting stuck. Couldn't get out of the house! He needed to take the entire mechanism out of the door. The locks on the door to my fab new high-rise condo didn't work very well, the primary lock made this grinding sound while the secondary lock above it had a sticky from the previous owner that said "DO NOT LOCK!" so I figured it was time for a locksmith. I needed my two locks replaced and based on the various positive reviews I tried Amazing Lock. They gave me a two-hour window for my appointment and showed up with 15 minutes to go. Not a huge deal, but during their appointment they answered a call for another lockout and gave that person an estimated wait of 20 minutes. It might just be better to call and say its an emergency then setting up an appointment. The service was almost too quick. They left over a dozen tiny bits all over my table without cleaning up. They did not ask me how many keys I needed and just assumed two was enough. The two employees seemed like they wanted to get onto the next assignment as soon as possible so they could go home for the weekend (it was later afternoon on a Friday). I've purchased locks (about 20 total) from Amazing Lock twice for our 4 unit. Both times, we needed locks to be keyed various ways so that it works with some keys and not with others. The owner was extremely patient with my over the phone requests and was prompt in getting the locks keyed for us as well as giving us some extra keys. Furthermore, when we weren't sure what size cylinder for the knobs will be, he gave us both sizes and told us to bring back the unused ones (which we still need to do once we get the rest of our doors installed!) I appreciate all the advice and help the owners gave me and the locks they gave us are much better than those box stores, esp. for a residential rental unit. read more

Had a good experience with Amazing Lock during a very bad night. We came home late on a weeknight to find out that our deadbolt had been busted and our apartment had been robbed. We called Amazing Lock at 11:30 PM and the locksmith arrived within a half hour and got right to work. He installed a better deadbolt and even made some suggestions on items he could install to further secure the door. They were a little more expensive than some other locksmiths, but they accept credit cards onsite, the locksmith showed up promptly (and late at night), he was friendly and not sketchy, and he did a great job (and went above and beyond), which made us feel much safer after a very unsettling experience. Car lock outs..re keying lockc and key blanks. Parking is tight with just a few spots out front. Found staff to be helpful when I managed properties over there. Every time I've used this service I have been very satisfied. They have re-keyed my locks, re-keyed mailboxes in my complex, and replaced my latch on my door. I have a very specific patio door that has a specific lock and the service man who came out was extremely helpful in finding a lock that would work with the door and made sure to make a round trip and pick it up. They have standard pricing for their services - sometimes you win sometimes you need to pay a little more for a single service. Either way I will always use this service and always recommend them. I put off changing the locks in my new condo after moving in and ended up regretting it. Someone tried using keys to walk into my house while I was at home one night! Gah! That was terrifying. I stacked boxes full of heavy books in front of both of my doors and vowed to call a locksmith first thing the next day. I had already done some Yelp research before procrastinating, so the next morning I called Amazing to see if they could come out the same day. Thankfully they had someone available. Jake stopped by a couple of hours later and re-keyed all of my exterior door locks. He was friendly and efficient, and it only cost me $175 ($75 to come out + $25/lock). Sure, it would have been cheaper to take the knobs to a shop, but that wasn't an option, especially given the urgency of the situation. I'd read stories about other locksmiths being rude, tacking on extra unexpected charges, etc., so it was a relief to not have to deal with any shenanigans. My only advice to these folks is to up the customer service on the front end. The fellow I initially talked to on the phone was a bit brusque, and it made me wonder if the tech would be rude. Thankfully everything went smoothly, and I would recommend these folks to anyone else who needs this service in a pinch. Also, my apologies to Jake -- I was bleary-eyed after hardly getting any sleep the night before, and I forgot to tip him for his work. I'll be fixing this as soon as I have some time to walk over during a workday. He even came back after I missed him the first time -- my name is not yet on the doorbell, and my phone ringer was off when he called.
