Experience: This place has been around for a long time. I used to order lunches from here when I went to high school. Amazing Wok is reliable and always got us the food there on time. Fast forward 10 years later, i'm back from college! Today, I was craving egg drop soup, so I googled the nearest location and Amazing Wok came up. I forgot this place existed because I don't usually order Chinese takeout anymore. I got a lunch special because the deal was pretty good. Sesame chicken with a soup was only $6.50 if you pick up. I saw that some of the sites like seamless do not offer the lunch special if you place the order online or want it delivered. Amazing Wok is on quite a lot of online ordering sites. I ordered through beyond menu (because I was at the library and didn't want to step out to make a call) and also because beyond menu allowed me to get the lunch special deal! There isn't a ton of parking in front of Amazing Wok, but I got lucky today and found a spot. The food was ready by the time i got there, which was only 10-15 mins after I placed the order online. This order really hit the spot. I just wanted egg drop soup so badly because its chilly out. I don't recall the soup being this good in the past. Maybe because I was craving it? It was very eggy and not salty at all. The noodle crackers here are legit. Back at college, the takeout places would give you fried pieces of dough, dripping in oil and they were stale. Amazing Wok's noodle crackers look like they were bought and are the perfect size and not oily. Giving my highest praise for this soup because it really satisfied my cravings. The rice and chicken were average. I think there are some stores that give more, but for $6 this wasn't bad. Most lunch special's i've had elsewhere do give egg rolls with their lunch specials and this one did not. Service here was really pleasant though. I was helped immediately after I arrived. I like that the owner did not start speaking Chinese to me because that has happened before at other places... Recommend it?:Yes! Amazing Wok is has always been wonderful regardless of what I've ever ordered, big or small. Tonight, visions of a hot soup to accompany my Seafood dinner. Can you say this foodie couldn't help it, but heard the word dumpling out of one of the workers mouths as I was waiting to order...and suddenly the brain wanted more. Haven't had a wonderful dumpling in some time, so why not do a double serving of dumplings. That's right, Wonton soup dumplings and an order of Steamed dumplings. Then recall of some wonderful Scallion Pancakes of the past popped into mind. And that is how you go in for 1 item and walk out with 3. I totally up sold myself LoL! This place was nasty. I ordered a combination for dinner and one of the woman workers in the kitchen blew her nose and whipped her face with a napkin and threw it into the wok they where cooking the food. I told the woman in the front what I saw and she said sorry, I guess it's not the first time this happens here and I'm sure they are only sorry because they got busted doing it. I live two towns over and I'm all about convenience so really prefer to stay in my own town but no Chinese food closer compares. Foods Always really good and fresh so it's the only Chinese place I'll order from. They could improve the pork fried rice but I don't even eat it, the rest of my family does and they don't complain. First time visiting Amazing Wok on November 8,2022.I ordered chicken wings and pork fried rice with green peas. The pork fried rice taste like if the rice wasn't fully cooked or if the rice was old had no onions, scallions it just was tasteless. Chicken wings needs to be more crispy. read more

The best Chinese food around, excellent quality food, their sesame chicken and other chicken dishes are WHITE meat, not the dark meat I've encountered elsewhere, even so called fancy Chinese sit down in surrounding area couldn't match the tastiness of real Chinese cuisine, it's a family run business and if you try it once I'm sure u will b impressed, anybody I recommend now goes there, they are prompt , fairly priced and I believe they have grown so large they had to hire a few drivers, I hope this post encourages Chinese food lovers to order from there, most of east Rockaway residents that I know already do read more

The fastest preparation of my Chinese take out food anywhere by far we had like for or five items it wad ready on 8 min. The egg too young was realy good. Lo main not bad. Food was delicious. Started with Hot and Sour soup which was still hot when I got home. Then vegetable lo mein, pepper steak, General Tso and Hot and Spicy Beef. I ordered General Tso's Chicken, Boneless Spare Ribs, and a Dr. Pepper from Amazing Wok and not only did it get here in great time, but when the driver realized that the Dr. Pepper wasn't there, he drove back and got it for me. He was very apologetic, but I was very appreciative that he noticed in the first place and made a point to get that for me because I paid for it. They have free delivery, are very reasonable, and they have the best Chinese food in town. Amazing Wok is our go-to place for an affordable take-out meal and great Chinese food in the East Rockaway area. I'm Chinese and I enjoy eating there! Our favorite dishes are their steamed pork dumplings, their BBQ pork spare ribs, their singapore mai-fun, chicken lo mein, and their General Tso's chicken. Sometimes they even have Chinese veggies if you ask them (off the menu) which we enjoy very much. The people there are extremely friendly, the place is clean and the food is not very greasy (which is a huge plus). I would definitely recommend this place to locals. Went here for the first time today and I have to say this place rocked!!!! Very hard to find a clean and yummy chinese takeout place.
