I called Amber when my regular AC guy was so busy that he told me it would be two weeks before he could even look at it. I called around and received the same from four other companies. I had a friend recommend Amber so I checked the reviews online and they were really good.I called and talked to Jenna about my problem expecting her to tell me pretty much the same as everyone else I had talked to (about two weeks). To my surprise, She told me that if the technician was not out that evening, it would be the next day. Sure enough, she called me when I was on my way home from work telling me that they had someone available and would send him right over. I arrived home to find Jose the technician already working on my AC unit. He tested and found a burnt wire and terminal from my Ac compressor. He repaired the wire and the terminal, cleaned the compressor and checked the pressure in the unit. I was up and running in less than an hour. I called Julie today for an air conditioner service. She went out of her way to fit me in today, so I would not have to pay for weekend overtime tomorrow. My technician was Mike. He was friendly, capable and great at explaining what needed to be done. Also let me know that the refrigerant used in my 20 year old air conditioner is being phased out and it may get costlier to charge the unit. Appt scheduling was easy, and I appreciate the fact that the company calls to confirm approx. 30 minutes before the tech is to arrive. The service tech, Mike Mikula, was punctual, very polite and professional. I appreciate the practice of putting booties over their shoes to avoid dirtying my floor! Jose arrived in the early part of the window they gave me and he got right to work. I honestly don't know the first thing about heating & cooling so Jose was very helpful in educating me on exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it. My furnace failed on Fri evening. I called Amber and Jose called me back. We tried a couple of things over the phone but to no avail. It was not that cold out so I said I could wait until Mon. Well Jose was having none of that. He insisted on coming out that evening because he didn't want me to be without heat the entire weekend. I had a new furnace and air conditioner installed at my home! Wow, what a difference! My ac or furnace weren't broke yet, but I knew they were VERY old and probably not that efficient. I had the new furnace and ac installed and am blown away how much better this is than my old one. I would highly recommend replacing if your furnace and ac are old! Mike Mikula is an amazing tech!!! He always explains everything about what he is doing to your HVAC system. We just had a COR smart thermostat installed.
