I enjoy AMC theaters very much however this one is by far the worst i been to in movie theaters. Not to mention how much more expensive it is then AMC's by Long Island NY. The theater was very dirty. Ordered some Food, my daughter and friend said the sliders did not taste right. thrown out. And i felt like i was being babysat. I am 45 and a grown ass man scolds me because i took out my phone to look at time. He literally stood next to our seats until i put the phone back in the purse. Mind you. I know to put the phone away and i do for most part but i dont shut it off incase someone has to reach me for emergencies. i was very disappointed and will not be returning. First and last time at this AMC. There is one by bell terrace. That one is way better for those in Queens. My go to AMC is definitely AMC Levittown with dine in service. read more

I WOULD LEAVE 0 STARS IF I COULD On Monday 6/19/23 at 10:45pm my family and I went to AMC Fresh Meadows 7 with my son to watch Transformers. My son is wheelchair-bound and has a vision impairment. He was so excited that he was finally going to be able to go to the movie theater since 2019. BUT we had a very bad experience because this place DID NOT have the AUDIO DESCRIPTION device for him to be able to enjoy the movie. This surprised me because early that same day I went in person at 2:15pm and asked the employees if the audio description device was working properly. I was told REPEATEDLY that everything was working correctly. What a DISAPPOINTMENT!!! When we arrived we were made to wait for over 15 minutes, meanwhile his cousins were getting the snacks. An employee came and SAID sorry but the device was not working for a while already. Weird, because I asked EARLIER and they didn't tell me that. Do you think that people with disabilities don't deserve the same treatment as everybody else!!!!! He was very sad and I am very angry with this place. HOPEFULLY not all the AMC theaters are like this one. read more

AMC Fresh Meadows 7 is quite a treat to be at. I am an avid movie goer at this location so I think I'm a pretty reliable source as to how this theater is. I think the pass you are able to buy giving you 3 movies a week was a brilliant idea and made me stick here. This isn't specific to the location of course but I love it. I can't say I've had any negative experience with the workers. I love the seats especially the red ones and I'll get to the IMAX theater later, but they are definitely some of the best in theaters around here. Service, however, is pretty on and off with recently I'd say a lot faster but there have been times where despite getting the food for pickup, they take forever to prepare it. I'm ending up waiting there anyways. I'd also say the IMAX theater while having good qualities has some obvious pitfalls especially when we talk about the seats. I think they should just use the red seats because I don't like they can't lean all the way back. The bathroom is also all the way at the bottom floor, so if you need to use the bathroom a lot it can be a bit kind of a break due to having to walk all the way down, even if you are upstairs. They also don't hand you the food in your seats like other AMC theaters do. I go to this location regularly but I'd say that the food is good and an overall great movie theater, I think due to some of my suggestions they can get a 4.5/5 read more

They have caramel popcorn and while their Coke machine didn't have flavored Dasani water, I can't complain about anything else. I saw a movie with a date and wasn't sure how I'd feel about it since that has a whole different association with a former guy but the movie was better than expected. We also had these incredibly comfortable seats that reclined super far back, were some of the only people in the theater and overall it was a fun experience. This isn't my neighborhood but it's easy to get to by car and you'll find parking here. I should remember it for future dates who have cars. read more

I prefer this AMC to others nearby. If I remember correctly, this location was one of the first in the area with the reclining seats. So unlike the AMC at Roosevelt Field Mall, you're not squished next to the person next you and have some personal space. The concession stand is on the lower level. They have the typical selection. I have a weird thing for movie theater popcorn, a lot of the times their popcorn is stale :( This concession stand also has self-serve ordering. Which kind of takes away the point of the "A List" line (they don't have it anymore) and you just have to wait. Paying the extra to skip the line is no longer needed here. The theaters and bathrooms are typically clean and staff are always friendly. There is one IMAX theater in the building on the lower level. read more

Ever rush out in the middle of a movie to buy a soda?  Well, don't think about doing that at AMC Fresh Meadows 7.  I ran out of Thor: Love and Thunder to buy a drink (I was the only one in line), and I asked the attendant for a large soda.  Without saying a word, she points to an ordering kiosk.  I say I'm in the middle of a movie and I'd rather just pay her, directly.  She says I have to use the kiosk; when I use the kiosk, it produces an error, to the point where she needs to insert her own card and call someone else to get it working again.  I told her to forget it, and went back to my seat. Folks, this isn't the first time I've seen the kiosks at Fresh Meadows fail.  I've seen them go down during tentpole showings, packed with people; I've seen furious customers who simply want to add/remove an item; most egregiously, I've seen seniors being forced to use the kiosk only to walk away in disbelief for the uncaring treatment and lack of customer service.  Imagine being an older person: the service person is literally standing right in front of you but won't take your order.  At first, it's confusing; then, you think you've done something wrong; then, when the order person turns their back and walks away, you know one thing for sure--they're being rude. So...why?  I mean, we don't see these same kiosks at other AMCs in the area and if there are, it's an option for the customer, not mandated.  People, this is a trial rollout to see if accuracy and revenue can be increased during the POS process.  It has nothing to do with making the movie-going experience better for you, it only has to do with making the customer service experience less taxing for AMC management.  This is a blanket rollout; meaning, it doesn't matter if you're the only one in line, or if you're 80 years old.  There is no consideration given to the circumstances or needs of the customer, just a memo from the top: all customers are to use the kiosk. What's the difference between an AMC and McDonald's kiosk?  1) McDonald's kiosks work; 2) at Mickey D's there's no movie, so there's no rush (people make a lot of mistakes when they're rushed); 3) McDonald's has no problem, whatsoever, in taking face-to-face orders, slow orders, or cash orders.  The customer is not "forced" to do anything. AMC's cattle-drive approach is annoying at best, discriminatory at worst.  We need to make them understand this approach should not be further implemented at other locations.  If they want to avoid customer-facing service then simply encourage patrons to order food from their phones while they're in the parking lot, instead of creating massively unorganized kiosk lines at the concession stand. Dear Fresh Meadows management: this has been going on for about a year, now.  Experiment over, it doesn't work.  Let's get back to making movie-goers feel at home. read more

I live around the area and this is the best theater available. The parking lot makes it super convenient, and it's around a plaza so you can get your grub on instead of being gouged for mediocre popcorn. It's cleaner than the other theaters within a 20 minute drive, has those fancy reclining chairs, and the bathrooms are clean enough. I don't have any complaints (but I do for the other ones!). If there are better theaters nearby, I'm all ears. read more

Yesterday, I went to the movie theater to see "The Fall Guy." It was an unusually warm spring day, with temperatures soaring over 75 degrees. I had ordered my tickets online, and this marked my first visit to this particular theater in ages. The last time I had been there was when there was a competing movie theater on the other side of the Long Island Expressway, which has since gone out of business. If any of you remember that, then you know it was a long time ago. Anyhow, back to the movie theater. I should have requested a refund when I walked through the front doors and noticed one glaring issue. Trust me, if you notice this upon arrival, just get a refund and go elsewhere. What caught my eye was the fact that the front doors were open. In my entire lifetime, I've never seen a movie theater with doors leading directly into the theater space wide open like that. As I stepped inside, I half-expected the theater to greet me with a blast of cool air, contrasting the warmth outside. Instead, as the trailers rolled and people settled in, I noticed that the theater was hot. One woman even got up, possibly to complain, and then returned to her seat. A few minutes later, a movie usher came in, walked around, and then left. There was a faint change in temperature, but it quickly reverted to extremely hot conditions inside the theater. I swear I saw Emily Blunt on screen looking like she could use a towel! Okay, I'm exaggerating, but it was seriously sweltering. And because of this, I have no intention of returning to this theater ever again. I can only imagine how chilly it might get inside during the winter. Furthermore, I recalled why I didn't like this movie theater in the first place and why I used to go to the competing one years ago. One of the reasons was their bathrooms, which were located only in the lower half of the theater. This meant that if you needed to go during the movie, it could take you at least 3-7 minutes to dash downstairs, do your thing, wash your hands, and return. I'm sure it's even longer for women. AMC, I understand that COVID has ravaged the movie industry, and people aren't turning out for mega blockbusters like before. But you can't keep the AC off on hot days to save money. Otherwise, moviegoers will simply choose to watch a movie in the comfort of their own homes, where they can control the temperature settings themselves. read more

This is one of the locations that has had the recliner seats and full menu of food far longer than the other AMC theaters throughout the city. It's an older theater, but it has been outfitted with all the newest technology. The employees are very friendly. Do pay attention to the number of your auditorium, 1-4 is down the short staircase with the concessions (the popcorn is soooo good!) and the others are up the escalator with only a soda machine. I'm sure a can get really crowded during peak times. They have their own parking lot and you're able to get a good space especially when you're early. I'm sure we will be there again. read more

I actually found my 5 star spot, but because it's not an AMC theater I had to find another. Why....I became a Stubs member because moviepass is a hot mess and I had to replace them. So I've been here before and I remember it not being as cozy. So when I stopped in to see Glass in IMAX I was surprised by how cozy it was. The seats recline ...notnl as far back as I would like but they are comfortable. People also seemed to be respectful of the shut up and leave your phone in your pocket policy.... so that made me very happy. I'm sure I'll be here again! read more

It's bad enough that women have to wait on looonnng lines for the restroom but it's even worst when there are empty, unused stalls that appear to have been neglected allll day. What a disgust!!! I hope the kitchen is clean and I happy.I decided to eat prior to coming here. Also, the theatre seats could have been cleaner as well. I worked here when I was a teen. It changed quite a bit. It's nice that it was renovated, but there will be a few assholes that will make this place so ghetto. I got to my seat, and there was oil all over the chair. I carry purell and wipes, so I wiped it all off. I wanted to life the arm rest and that shit was already broken...and it fell off!!! I put it back lol...but this is why some people don't deserve nice things. Whatevz, I'm here for the movie anyway. ***edit*** I just left the theater and saw something really unfortunate. I'm pretty sure that the cleaning crew is supposed to clean up after a show rush. I mean, I worked there as a teen...we didn't do a very good job. But since people are more sensitive these days, management should be on top of the employees' asses. You can tell no one cleaned since I came in on an oily ass seat. Anyway, I saw a dead baby mouse. Looks like it was stomped on. Gross. I did take a pic so ya'll know that I'm not exaggerating. But yeah, this is why I rarely come out to see movies. It's either crowded or dirty. Sucks. read more

This is the greatest theater ever. If you don't mind taking a nap during the movie. Because you will, in the enormous, ridiculously comfortable, fully reclining seats. Ok, maybe not the best theater, since there are nicer ones of this kind in other states (even the Jersey one is nicer), but it is the best theater in Queens. This one is actually the best of both worlds - you get all the traditional movie theater stuff that's good (concession stand instead of that convenient yet really annoying waiter service where they come by and talk to you and bother you with the bill during the movie), and the amazingly comfortable seats. The only downside is that it's got that typical dirtiness of most AMCs in NY. Another major plus of this place is the self-serve soda machines that a couple of other theaters in NYC have. These are great and save a lot of time waiting on the concession lines. Now that I know about this place, I don't see any reason to ever go anywhere else when equipped with a car and in the vicinity of Queens. If I only have access to trains though, I'll stick to Midway on Queens Boulevard of course. read more

Listen folks, this is as good as it gets in viewing movies in total comfort! After sitting in one of these soft, supple and luxurious electrical adjustable recliner chairs. I don't think I can experience viewing movies any other way! Talk about a perfectly designed theater, I mean you can get up out of your chair anytime to leave without disturbing the person next to you, no longer will you have to say to the stranger next to you "oh sorry, excuse me, pardon me," The seats are designed to fully recline all the way back without disturbing anybody. Now how's that for comfort! Though it might make viewing the movie a little more difficult in this position and you may get too comfortable and fall asleep. I also love the fact that you have the opportunity to select the seat of your choice, either at the box office, or via "Fandago" online with a minimum service charge. I feel like I'm entering a Broadway play as I stroll down the aisle and look at my tickets and say to my wife, "that's right honey, I got us the best seats in the house!!" The only thing missing here is a wait staff to serve you drinks. Now one of the downside to this theater are the restrooms and concession stands which are located in the lower level. My movie was playing upstairs. It was a bit of a pain to walk up and down the stairs to refresh and restock my supplies. But in the big scheme of things these are just minor inconveniences that I can overlook because the seats are AWESOME!! All movie goers should be able to lounge like you're seated in a first class cabin on a major airline, buckle up boys and girls and enjoy the movie! read more

Since the upgrade this has become my favorite movie theater. A movie date can run you anywhere from $40-$60 when you factor in ticket prices, refreshments & snacks. I don't mind paying those prices when I know that I can choose my own seat & recline back comfortably. Seating is limited which is awesome because you don't have to worry about someone being right on top of you if you choose a matinee showing. The concessions stand has greatly improved offering a variety of combos, refreshments & candy. You can refill your soda/slurpee for FREE! What, AMC? Are you serious? I LIVE for slurpees when I'm at the movie theater. It's my go to treat. Forget everything else! You have the option of purchasing tickets from the booth located outside or from the touchscreen computers in the main lobby. It's fairly easy to use. Select a movie, time & then you select a(your) seat(s). The auditorium displays on the screen & you get to see exactly how the seats are arranged, how close you'd be to the screen & what is available. read more

Movie theatre with comfy seats and reserved seating. Best to reserve ahead of time, either online, or at the desk when you want to watch a movie. I don't get how people manage to get their reserved seats wrong and still sit in seats that do not belong to them. It's funny but also embarrassing watching people who sit in someone else's seat when the ticket and rows are clearly marked. Bad thing is that the bathroom is all the way down in the sub basement, but there are elevators and everything is pretty handicap accessible. One concession stand, but soda machines on each level. Seats are leather and has a remote switch on the left side to control the recline and extension of your leg rests. It did felt a tad sticky, so for you viewers who are worried about germs and stuff, bring some wet napkins or Clorox sheets to wipe it down. read more

This Is The AMC I Go To Often To See IMAX Movies. There's Hooters Right Next To AMC. But Other Then That The Theater Is Great.

This theater is just amazing! They have reclining leather sofas, what more is there to say? I think it's an important note to take that this place gets booked really fast, so if you're planning to watch a movie last minute, this is not the place for you. You have to plan your movies days/weeks in advance in order to get a good seat. You could either get your tickets at the booth in the front of the theater or order your tickets online at fandango. But there is a convenience fee charge if you are not a AMC stubs member, which I also highly recommend if you watch movies outside all the time. The fact that your seat is reserved, you can miss majority of the credits and then come in 1-2 minutes before your movie starts. That is just phenomenal. There is no other theater to even consider, because this place just feels like home. In addition, they have a soda machine on both levels of the movie theater, which dispenses what appears to be an unlimited amount of flavors. So that's something to try. After each movie, they have diligent employees come in and they clean and sweep the whole theater down before the next show starts. I like that they keep this place looking clean and new all the time. Keep up the good work. There's no other theater to go to. read more

I really, really love this theater. I'm only knocking off a star because there's no arcade which is totally a personal issue. This theater is absolutely 5 star worthy. The theaters are clean and spacious. I can't get enough of the reclining seats. I have back problems so these seats are a total game changer for me. I can finally sit through an entire movie without fidgeting. The staff is attentive and friendly. They seem to really care about the theater which is super refreshing considering how most theater staff is. The food. Now- I wouldn't call myself a concession connoisseur. I'm easily pleased. Slather anything in cheese and I'm happy. But they really stepped up their game here. The new menu is not your typical theater fare. Bavarian pretzels, Hamburger Sliders and Flat Bread Pizza are now on the menu. But the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread Pizza was the star of the evening. Sorry Daisy Ridley. It was perfectly cooked (see my photo) and oh so delicious. I usually don't like when a buffalo chicken pizza substitutes the marinara for buffalo sauce, but it worked just perfect with this one. I also had the pretzel bites which- well you know where this is going- I slathered it in cheese. Long story short, I was a very happy camper. AMC Fresh Meadows is pretty rad. Now all they need is some arcade games. Showing up early for my movie was boring. They have benches you can sit on. But I like being able to work on my Cruis'n USA skills. read more

I've seen these sofa movie theaters in previous shows and knew it existed somewhere in NYC but never cared to make a visit. I haven't been on a movie date since who knows when - many years ago and wow was I amazed. I think you have to reserve your seats in advance since there are limited seats. It seems like the setting is made for couples. The seats are paired and reclines. The arm rest can be pulled up = you can be closer to your neighbor. I can't say I appreciate watching a movie like others do but I was quite mind blown by the experience. I also love that there was a parking lot. I've been quite spoiled in the south with free parking lots. Is it worth the price? I did not pay but I would assume it cost more than a regular theater. IT IS worth the visit/experience. I can't say I would be up for another movie date because I rather go on food dates but it was a good movie! read more

I've only been here once, so I wouldn't say my review would be an accurate representation of this theater overall. Me and my friend got here late. Like 10 mins before a handful of movies were about to begin. People buy your tickets online. It saves SO MUCH TIME. There was a group of friends in front of us. Apparently they bought the tickets online but when they were trying to present them at the counter, it wouldn't show up? This mixup wasted about 20 mins of EVERYONE'S time. No one is going to be a dick and yell "gtfo and let me buy my damn tickets" *coughs while eyeing my friend* So that was awful. By the time we got to the counter, a lot of seats were taken. We couldn't find any 2 seats next to each other. We'd have to sit apart. Why the hell would I come to the movies with a friend if I'm not sitting with them and bothering them throughout the movie? We settled on a movie neither of us wanted to watch. The reclining seats ARE REMARKABLE. After terrorizing my friend, I nearly fell asleep. Seats are that comfy. How does anyone ever get to watch a movie through entirely with seats these comfortable. I'll be back. But I'll do things differently. Buy tickets in advance. And have a shitload of coffee beforehand. This can easily be a great spot to visit over and over. read more

Best movie theater in the area ! Bit expansive then most theaters but this is AMC for ya. Chairs that moves and open to a sofa that you can lay down and relax. The seats are super comfy and they recline. The theater is super clean. One thing I must say extremely disappointed with the new system for concessions. The lines were long due to people having difficultly navigating the machine It takes way longer to order. Even I had issues with one item that wouldn't scan I had to try several times. They don't have the A list line anyone I mean isn't that one of the perks of having the membership. I'm still overall pleased and will continue to come here. read more

This AMC has been renovated so many years ago, they need to repair the seats with new insulation or whatever its called! the seats have lost their fluff and they need to get it back! The theaters are large so theres plenty of seating, parking can be annoying in their parking lot but you will find a spot. The staff at the food counters could speed up a little bit and fix their attitudes. They always ruin the experience. I would still come back but Bay terrace has the best AMC experience and is much cleaner! read more

I came here to see the legendary Aquaman movie on the premiere night. They have ample parking for the movie theatre which is a plus. It was easy to enter the theatre and the staff was nice. The chairs in this theatre are so comfortable and made me want to take a nap. Haha. I need chairs like that in my home! Only downfall is that the seats seem kind of worn out. It might be time to replace them soon. However, the movie theatre was clean and the bathrooms were tidy as well. I recommend this movie theatre for a nice night out.
