I went to the AMC in Fresh Meadows -- honestly, it's pretty much the same as always. The theater has that nostalgic, homey feel since it's been around for so long, but it could really use a deep clean. The bathrooms were pretty gross, and the seats (especially the cup holders) were dirty. If you're going for the movie itself and not the experience, it gets the job done. But don't expect luxury.

This summer Deadpool & Wolverine dropped in theaters and "somebody's son" grabbed tix for us. I haven't attended this location in years and boy oh boy time has not been kind to this theater. While some of the staff was kind, the wear and tear was on full display. Many seats were inoperable, with armrest broken / leaning and barely hanging on. In addition the theater was just dirty, trash was everywhere. This could have been contributed to under staffing, however it did not make for an enjoyable experience. We went to an early evening show during the week so it wasn't busy, but yet still not clean. Just A Note: While this location may be convenient for some, there is a need for some major maintenance. A full reno wouldn't be a bad idea.

This is usually my go to place to watch movies, however this visit was a bit different, I sat in the imax theater and it was massive, the picture was clear as Crystal and overall a good experience. However I found that the sound was way too loud and they have the newer recliner chairs that's do not go back all the ways it's, also it is semi-touch so no physical buttons, and the it's a lot more difficult to push the buttons down. However it was an overall good experience

This theater is a very simple to navigate theater. The concession stand area is very clean and large. The bathrooms are also well attended. And another big perk is ample parking.

This is my new primary theater ever since Douglaston Movieworld's greedy landlord forced it to shut down. I'm old enough to remember when this place had a sister theater across the LIE with a beautiful mural painted on the facade. That building has long since been demolished, but the one on 190th St. remains. It's gone through a couple of renovations over the decades. PROS - Wonderful, comfortable (almost TOO comfortable) leather reclining seats with ample arm and leg room - Clean facilities - Online ticket and concession ordering. Chances of waiting on long lines are slim - Audience behaves themselves - They don't check bags, which is totally NOT an endorsement to smuggle in those sweet, forbidden outside snacks. Totally not. - Prime real estate. Located in a minimall with lots of alternative dining options and free parking CONS - Grossly overpriced tickets and concessions (par for the course these days, sadly) - Assigned seating (just gives them an excuse to charge extra fees and make it hard to redeem AMC Gold or Silver tickets) - New IMAX room is a joke. Screen is barely larger than the standard rooms' screen and somehow the seats are LESS comfortable. - No concession stands or bathrooms on the 2nd floor. So, yeah. Not the most glamorous theater around, but you could definitely do a lot worse.

Haven't been to this theater in years but decided to come on Sunday morning to see the new Wakanda movie. Very comfortable seats in the IMAX theater. The pretzel snacks were delicious, I was just dissatisfied they had no hot drinks. I know I am in a movie theater but they had display photo of cinnamon sticks or something with a coffee, so wouldn't you assume they served both? Anyways the theater was FREEZING!!! It was a long movie and I felt by the hour it kept getting colder. Then I go to the bathroom and there was roach on the floor and a running toilet bowel??!!! I mean I know this not any of the employees faults cause they were all so friendly but come on AMC you charge $22 per person and you can't hire a exterminator or plumber? The only reason I gave it three stars is because of the friendly concession stand guys and I believe the female manager.

This is nacho and cheese and it really good

Ask the Community - AMC Fresh Meadows 7

Are they checking for proof of vaccination when you get your tickets?

Hi John, Yes, you're required to show proof of vaccination before entry, including kids.

Do they check your bags to see if you brought in food?

They never checked mine. I don't see them check others.

Who else bought the AMC premium thing, the Stubz pass, is it worth it?

If you see two movies a month you made your money back. Definitely worth it if you are a movie junkie like me. I try to see 3-4 a month.

    Will you be accepting MoviePass?

Nope. This AMC won't honor movie passes.

Our server kept checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. The calamari and shrimp ceviche were both delicious - the calamari was well battered and the ceviche was fresh. My entree, chicken baraki, was a large portion (had to take it home) and it was delicious. The drinks looked amazing but we didn't try any this time - definitely on our next visit! We got the bottomless mimosas. They gave us two glasses and a picture of mimosas. Everything was really good. As an appetizer we ordered the focaccia grilled cheese bites. The vodka sauce dip was so amazing. Honestly, that was hands-down, the best thing. For our main, I ordered the Mediterranean Benedict. They made the Benedict. Perfect, I love the prosciutto with it. It does come on top of a focaccia bread. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the sweet potato fry squares. I'm not crazy about sweet potatoes and I didn't read the menu to see to get something else. Also, the Greek churro was so good with the feta whip. This is definitely a really cute place. Everyone who works there is so kind and polite. It is definitely worth a stop in for brunch.

They provided a delicious penne alla vodka and beef meatballs that were truly exceptional. The penne alla vodka was creamy and rich with a perfectly balanced tomato flavor. They were incredibly generous with real meat and had very little breadcrumb filler, which gave them a robust, hearty flavor and fantastic texture that our guests truly appreciated. The menu has very detailed, almost elevated descriptions that make everything sound spectacular, but in practice the flavors don't quite come through, especially the sauces, which are barely noticeable. Our server was flexible when we asked to swap the potato chips for fries on the kids' grilled cheese meal, which we appreciated. However, we were then charged $1.40 for a side of ranch for the fries. I understand they have a range of specialty sauces and dips that are clearly priced on the menu, but that still felt steep for ranch. They also offer a combo option to add fries for $5, but the portion doesn't really feel aligned with the price. The steak sandwich itself was surprisingly tender, even though it looked like it might be tough. That said, I couldn't taste the roasted red pepper sauce, and the "sweet onion jam" turned out to just be caramelized onions. My mother actually ended up picking them out because she doesn't eat onions. (she won't eat onions that she can see) The buffalo cauliflower was tasty, but could have been crispier. The "serves two" description also felt a bit generous given the small portion. I also ordered a brisket sandwich to go with fries. The coleslaw sounded great on the menu, but in reality the flavors didn't stand out, no real hint of jalapeño, just a fairly standard slaw. Overall, the food descriptions felt more impressive than the actual execution, though the to-go fries portion was more generous, which was a nice surprise. Would I go back? I'm not sure. Maybe for a casual visit with a few beers and fries with an assortment of dipping sauces...I am a sucker for those.
