Theatre 14 doesn't have recliners. From what I was told the right side theaters do not. Why are they advertised?

This review comes after my most recent visit on Saturday, April 13, 2019 for the 6 pm showing of Shazam in Auditorium 15. Before I even entered the theater, I was told by the employee taking my ticket that the men's bathroom was shut down because of plumbing issues and that if I needed to use the restroom I had to go outside and walk across to the other theater. Not the biggest deal, but still an annoying inconvenience. As soon as I walked into auditorium 15, I noticed instantly that the air conditioning was off. The theater was HOT AF. When my cousin and I settled into our seats, I instantly went out to notify an employee about the temperature in the room. "We've already received multiple complaints, and we're working on resetting the AC", was what I was told. Fine. So I walked back into the auditorium and took my seat. I assumed that if multiple people had already complained and the theater employees were "working on it" the issue would be resolved fairly quickly. Fifteen minutes passed, and there was no change in the room climate. 30 minutes passed, the movie has started, and still no change in the temperature. By this point the theater had filled and the AMC servers were walking to and from, in and out of the room creating more energy and thus more heat, but not a single employee offered any bit of reassurance that the temperature issue would be resolved. Left without any relief, I was forced to use the menu on my armrest as a fan to keep my experience barely tolerable. To say that my experience was miserable is an understatement. As the movie progressed, more and more people in the room began fanning themselves with the menus on their armrests. Everyone sat and suffered through the entire movie without any relief from the unbearable heat. This experience is unacceptable because not only did AMC know about the problem and did nothing to correct it, but it made its customers believe that the problem was being resolved. Had I known ahead of time that that auditorium would have a non-functioning AC BEFORE I purchased my ticket, I would have never purchased my ticket in the first place. What's also frustrating is the fact that the servers walking in and out of the theater delivering food to all the movie watchers didn't do anything to resolve the temperature issue either. They didn't offer any cold waters or reassure the guests that the theater was doing everything it could to fix the problem. Ordinarily I'd say this experience would only merit a 1-star review and a complaint to management and/or corporate. However, the week prior, I was at this SAME theater watching Captain Marvel with my gf. We both placed orders for food and both waited more than an hour to be served. Moreover, the order my gf received was not even the correct order (she ordered a classic burger with no cheese bc she is lactose intolerant and they brought her a black bean burger (no meat)). She subsequently waited another 45 mins for the correct order to be brought out, which brought her total waiting time close to the end of the movie. Heck, the theater isn't even that comfortable. Your so called "reclining seats" don't even recline all the way--they recline a couple of inches and then stop. Why am I paying extra for an alleged service you don't fully deliver on!? I am an AMC A-listers member and these experiences have permanently ruined my impression of AMC. I pay you guys a monthly membership fee because I thought you would take care of me and give me a pleasant movie going experience. Instead you have trashed me and my money like I don't even matter. I will be cancelling my membership and taking my business elsewhere as CLEARLY this establishment doesn't seem to care much about customer service. Stay away from this theater! Went to see insidious the red door and the ac was not working . We drove all the way and booked ahead of time just to be inconvenience and leave the place . We did receive refund but I feel they need to either cancel the showings or tell us ahead of time that the ac is not working . Do they expect us to pay 36 dollars to watch a movie in a hot room ? read more

I love going to the AMC Dine-In Theatre in Fullerton, CA. They offer great deals for purchasing food and snacks for their customers. In addition, they have a reclining chair for their customer to relax while watching the movie. Although most of their ticket prices are approximately the same like Edwards, Tuesday tends to have a lower price for people to buy when going to the AMC Fullerton Theatre. But overall, the Fullerton AMC is a great place to go for movie theatre, especially with your family and friends. read more

I love this theater as the staff here all have excellent customer service! I am a regular here, and they have made noticeable positive improvements upon reopening from the pandemic closing. Examples of excellent service - I had vouchers received right before the pandemic closure, and they worked with me to switch it out for other ones due to it expiring. The staff will promptly ask me if I need anything when I approach the bar, and I see them regularly clean the theaters keeping everything well maintained. By far my biggest praise has to deal with changes in the dine in experience. I used to hate going to the dine in side (sometimes had no choice based on movie I wanted to see and the showtimes) simply because it was an awful concept to turn each seat into your own personal restaurant. The customers that would constantly use the call button throughout the movie to get food service absolutely ruins the movie going experience. One moment you're really into the movie the next you get the bright light from their iPad menu and discussions about different snacks ... awful Now, buttons are disabled and you have to go to the counter out front by concessions to order your food to be brought to you .... this is how it should have always been since you don't disturb anyone. Please keep it like this AMC and keep up the great work! read more

They have cancelled the in seat dining... Meaning you now have to order and they will deliver it to your seat. However you can't schedule anything so you have to leave your seat to reorder and miss the movie which was the whole point of sitting in the dine in side. Guess I'm heading back down to Newport to their theaters ... so frustrating!! This was our go to theater in Anaheim hills! We would see 3 movies a month.... read more

Theater has recliner chair for their movie theater. This movie theater has the same price at most AMC does but it more worth going her because of the recliner chair where you do not need to pay extra for. I would recommend going on Tuesday because the movie ticket are at a great price and the snacks are only $5 (small popcorn and drink). read more

This is our go to dine-in theater. I do not recommend the nachos. It game out soggy and stale. The tacos and fish and chips were good. The kids menu are great, we have tried all of it. Well worth the price of $7.99. The adult beverages is the perfect touch and the prices are average. Loved the refills on sodas and the button for requesting food/drink service. read more

This is our go to theater spot and have always felt disappointed when we give another theater a shot. The AMC in Fullerton is top-notch with comfy reclining seats, full bar, and an amazing menu! In the past we've ordered the chicken fingers and biscuits. Honestly, we'd probably see a terrible movie just to munch on their deliciously expensive food. To top it off, I'd bathe in their ranch. The theater is split in half with the Fork and Dine offering reclining seats and a waitress throughout the movie for drinks and food service. The other theater has seats that recline alllllll theeee wayyy backkk and a bar in the lobby. Recently checked this place out with a friend and honestly I was surprised at how good their fries were (they were full of flavor). So you go to your seat which turns out it's a comfortable recliner not just that but each seat has a little table where you can have your meal. Press a button located next to your seat and a waiter quickly comes up and takes your order. (Not bad at all) My experience here was honestly great the service was fabulous not just from our waiter but other employees as well. They were very accommodating to my personal needs. As I had to pray while being there I asked someone if they had a little empty room or something and the employee gladly let me into an empty quiet movie theater... The down side for some might be the prizes For 2 orders of fries and 2 sodas it was $28. But then again everything in all movie theater's are pricey. I was excited to try one of these dine-in theaters, because I figured that they'd be all new and awesome. On my first visit, Christmas Eve, our movie ended up being to the left -- aka the old side. I was disappointed. All the chairs were recliners, but they were on the same level, and it looked really janky. Weirdly enough, a surprising number of patrons were huddled under blankets. I've never seen this before. I mean, it's a good idea, I guess, unless you're prone to falling asleep at movies. I've just never seen it before. Though I had low expectations, the seats were fairly comfortable, and they reclined almost all the way back. They straighten out more than any other movie seat I've experienced, and the screen seemed to be visible from all areas. All of these were pluses. On my second visit, we went to the dining side. The tickets were more expensive, and when we got inside, the seats barely reclined. I thought that was sad. I didn't want to eat, so I didn't need an upright seat. The light to my right was bothering me for a while during the show, and the railing for the steps was in my line of view. It cut through the corner of the screen from where I was sitting. Super not cool. My friend also ordered a drink, and they didn't bring him a straw. He had to ask for one, and it never came. In the end, I called over another guy and stole a straw from another person's order. Very inconvenient. read more

Review is for Dine-In side only. My wife and I have been here a few times and enjoyed our experiences. Theater is clean and well kept, screen quality is good- all the usual functions of a theater. What sets it apart is the dine-in, obviously. Cheaper than Cinépolis with a menu akin to a Chili's or something (a little something for everyone). Food is okay. My wife and I found ourselves just eating before hand and sharing a snack or something as far as food went. Not worth the price. Drinks were always good, I wish the beer list was a bit more robust and diverse, getting Stone IPA all the time felt like I was living in 2010. The servers here can be pretty bad at times. We once had a server give us (and their entire section) the bill when there was an hour left in the movie. I would have ordered another drink but I guess they were done with us. It was a bummer to see every other server come out with 20 minutes left in the movie to give everyone else their bills. read more

Soooo comfy! I wasn't here before the renovations but I can tell you my theater going expectations has forever been changed. With its comfy, spacious leather reclining seats, their bar and kitchen offerings, and all at a very reasonable ticket entry. The only thing truly missing that would make this a top notch theater is an IMAX screen. There are two sides to this theater. One side with only the reclining seats and where you have to order food and drinks at the counter and wait to pick it up. The other side has the same reclining seats but includes a table top and servers who takes as well as deliver your order. It also has a very dim light between the high backs to help you see your food. Seating is very limited on this side and about two dollars more expensive. Depending on your preference, the reserved seating can be a drawback but I welcome being able to choose my own seats ahead of time. What blows my mind is that I pay the same non matinee ticket price near home that doesn't even offer this kind of luxury. No longer will you be paying 20 dollars for the far and between "Luxury" Cinemas. read more

This place was great a few years ago. The thing that bothers me most and the reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is the cleanliness. It's always so dirty at the theater. I know they had that issue with the mouse (a part of me thinks it was staged though), but several times I've been there, trash was left either on my seat or on the ground next to my seat. I'm constantly being hit up for cash. This makes me sad. I feel bad for the less fortunate. Sometimes I question the safety of this place. The food is over priced, so my friend and I don't normally buy food in the dine-in area. The staff has always been friendly. That's a positive. read more

I was contacted by corporate who stated the following "Cinema Suites(r) is available to guests 21 and over, while our Fork & Screen(r) experience admits guests 18 or over, OR those accompanied by a parent or guardian 21 years of age or older. " this message was sent to me by Rick Reavey. Yet was told by a on site manager and another employee that everyone must be 18. I am 28 and I was accompanied by a 14 year old who I am guardian of and a pregnant 23 year old. They should have known to ask what our ages were or ask if I was the guardian instead of quickly declining us entry since all clearly were not 18. the movie we purchased tickets for was rated pg13 ( A monster calls 4:15 pm Saturday January 14) Although I do understand employees were not completely at fault they were just attempting to follow the rules. they should be better informed and know for future reference that if a guardian is present it is permitted. Yesterday was the first time I have been to a dine-in movie theatre, and I won't be going anywhere else now to see a movie. Reclining seats, lots of room without bumping elbows and the food was very good. You push a button for service, menu's are already there next to your seat, including bar menu. The waitress bringing the food and drinks did not cause any interruption at all. She was quick and friendly. There are not nearly as many seats as a regular movie theatre so it is a good idea to reserve your seat ahead of time. If you can reserve a couple of days ahead than even better. Not sure what snacks they offer because I stopped at Dollar Tree on the way and brought my own. If you do not use a flashlight app on your cell phone, I do suggest bringing a small flashlight with you. Once the movie starts it is a little dark and can be difficult to read the menu. read more

My girlfriend and myself just joined the AMC A list pass where we can go 3 times a week. We decided to go to the dine in Fullerton and we weren't disappointed. All the food was delicious, hot and so fast. What I was most surprised about was how fast the food came out and the quality. I went to see a 7:15 showing last night for Friday date night. It was a very odd experience -- the staff in the kitchen was right next to our auditorium-- and the kitchen was completely open for guests to see and hear all of their conversations. We & another couple were there about 35(?) minutes earlier. I'll admit, it was unusually early for us, but the rationale behind that is we assumed that we would have to order dinner (since it's a dine in), and thought we may hang around and take some time to order food or perhaps get a drink at the bar. The problem was another movie was still playing in our auditorium, and we ordered food already (the other couple did the same thing). That meant the people who were still in the movie would get our food! We (and the other couple!) gave our concern to one of the staff members (who was older, rather than the teens in the kitchen), who then told the staff. One girl who was sweeping stated really loudly, "WHY ARE YOU HERE? GO HOMEE!!!" which felt very unprofessional considering guests were able to hear all of their complaints. I understand that there are times in your job that it gets frustrating, and like I said, I concede that we were unusually early, but still -- kind of rude considering we were very polite about it. Also, after the previous movie, they maybe did 10(?) minutes of cleaning, which is low key gross. The movie experience though was fine -- run of the mill food & it was comfortable enough. As an AMC Premiere member, the benefits are really nice but this may be the first and last time that I go to this particular location. read more

My favorite theater of all time! They're always so nice here. It's always clean from the restrooms to the theater rooms. The dine in servers are always on top of their game. I've never felt like I was waiting a long time for my food or beverage orders. I also love AMC overall because I am a stubs member, & we always get perks to go. I high recommend the dry rub wings they are really good. The taco trio was what I had this visit, they were good too. The barbecue taco was the one I liked least. Also I feel like you should ask for salsa bc I just had chips with nothing lol. Also my favorite drink is the cucumber lemonade delicious. read more

*Caveat* This review is from an old fart that goes for $6 Movie Tuesdays. My first foray into fancy movie theatre-going, watching Star Wars:The Force Awakens, AMC Fullerton 20 inhabits 2 buildings - Auditoriums 1-10 on the left & 11-20 (premium seating) on the right. Big fan of reserved seating! I reserved seat E5 a few days prior, which comes with a convenience fee, and I pulled up awaiting Disney's & JJ Abrams' interpretation of the Star Wars universe. The lobby greets customers w/ MacGuffins Bar & Lounge for a pre-movie tipple and/or snack. The bartender was friendly and let me have a courtesy cup of soda water w/lime. Perusing the menu, I spied a varied selection that differs from the typical burgers, nachos & fries, although those types of food are available, as well. I was a little confused with online ordering, as I wanted a reclining seat but not waiter service. My usual movie-going experience is sans food & drink. Well, at least sans food & drink I didn't smuggle in ;p But, my seat was Fork & Screen seating w/o reclining. The seat was padded & comfy, save for the non-reclining part, which I would've liked. Even if it reclined just a little bit. The table was great to lay my sunglasses on and the dining accoutrement of utensils, ketchup, salt, pepper etc. are easily within reach. A button signals the waitstaff when needed. One thing on my mind prior to seeing a movie here was if, while totally engaged in the movie, would the staff coming in & out, taking & giving out orders, totally take me out of the movie & be a buzzkill? And, I can honestly say it wasn't that bad. The subwoofers kick ass, with the pulsing vibrations going right through my body. Parking is in a private lot, by Costco & other businesses. Well, color me impressed! AMC Fullerton 20 was an overall great entertainment experience for a first timer such as I. Reserved seating is quite convenient, as I can jaunt in w/o having to worry about grabbing a good seat. The waitstaff seemed to be quick with people's food & didn't bother me too much during the movie. I know next time to choose the 18 & over reclining seat theatres when I come back. Which will definitely be Captain America:Civil War. And, maybe Batman v. Superman:Dawn of Justice. Maybe..............yup, a definite maybe. Highly recommend! read more

I've been spoiled, I could no longer go see a movie without recliner seats in theatre. I just could not place my feet on the ground in a sitting up position for over a 1.5 hour movie. And it is about time to change up the movie watching experience. Especially in this generation of where digital imagery and movie are so accessible all over the internet and with the blooming of netflix, I am very glad to see movie theatre adapting to the changes and made it a better experience for viewers. To begin, I have never been here before it was remodelled, so there isn't a point of reference for me. However, in comparison to other amc dine in theatres. I like how this place has a lot of movie houses with lots of time slot avaliable. The movie screenings are divided into 2 sections - to your left, it is the regular theater ( with or without dine in option) and the right is the cinema suite with bigger lounging recliner seat and side service plus dine in option. There are only 5 rows in the cinema suite, with very much limited seating. But they all have the power recliner seats. But the dine in theatre with the regular screening has a limited recline for the chair and felt a lot less space between you and the dining table. So if I am not really in mood for meals there, I would choose the without dining service screening house instead. Another thing I love about this place is that it's all reserved seatings. So we don't have to come super early trying to get a better seats. Now with the amc Tuesday $5 tickets and the atoms app specials. It became very affordable to watch movies in the theatre. It is still a fun date night activity, to be in a real theatre, other then just netflix at my own couch. So cheers to the movie screening revolutions! read more

Overall 4.5 stars (updates on Nov. 8th, 2014) [ New building(left) ] This side has the NEW seats!! Really wide and separate arm rest from others. You get to LEAN BACK and have your LEGS UP!! Really comfortable! I really hated the old cloth chairs! Seemed dirty and smelled bad! You now choose certain seats to watch the movie when buying your ticket instead of sitting wherever you want. [ New features ] The MacGuffins(bar & lounge) will open Nov. 21st, 2014 on the left building. Near this side of the entrance they also have those electronic machines where you can get your tickets with credit/debit card or if you bought your ticket online to come straight over to the machine without waiting in the long line. After their new seats and great new movies has been released the line got pretty long! [ Old building(right) ] Half of this side is under renovation and will open in January 2015!! This side will have the dine-in theatre! You can order at your seat! They say the ticket price will be about 50¢ more than the regular theatre. So excited!!! Can't wait!!! If you need to go to the men's room, go to the right building or the ones outside. They currently don't have the men's room available on the left building. Reclining chairs for the win! These theaters are so hip nowadays. A few theaters are popping up with reclining chairs, but not too many offer you the luxury of ordering food from your seat. I've been to iPic in Pasadena, which also has reclined chairs, reserved seating, and food delivery to your seat, but the prices there are pretty steep. In comparison to Fullerton's AMC, I'd say both are reasonable in terms of price. Pros: 1. Reserved Seating - No fuss in having to get there early to find good seats. 2. Reclined Chairs - Comfort in front of a large screen. 3. Food Delivery - Unique experience in a theater. This is princess status. 4. Prices - Can't be beat. Cons: 1. Reserved Seating - Seats aren't spaced out well. iPic offers a more intimate movie going experience with only two or four seats per aisle, separated by a path for servers to deliver food discreetly. 2. Food Delivery - Servers kind of get in the way of enjoying the movie when other people around you are ordering food. Overall, this is a fairly decent dine-in movie theater and if those cons don't bother you, you're golden! read more

This was my first experience at a dine-in theater. I enjoyed it very much! The seats don't recline, they do adjust for comfort though, and are very comfortable. Ordering of all concession items, plus foods like appetizers, burgers, fries and milkshakes, is done directly from your seat. The items you order are delivered to you, and you can order throughout the movie! The two things I would have liked to make this a 5 star rating: for my plate to be taken away. I ordered the house fries (so damn good) and when I finished, the garlic smell was distracting. Also, the light behind me next to the seat so you can more easily read your menu and see your meal doesn't dim or allow you to turn it off. It was a bit distracting for me, as it reflected in my 3-D glasses. If there were a way to turn it off, that would be perfect! read more

My niece convinced the family to go see Sing 2 today. Whenever I go to the movies, I get nachos. Not today though. Why? This theater has no nacho cheese and no hot dogs. Most people buy tickets online so surely they knew what type of crowd would be there today. It was 4 o'clock. How could you not have these items available????!!!!! On top of that, they were giving us short paper straws with our large icees. Like seriously, how the fvck were we supposed to drink our icees if the straw is way shorter than the cup???!!! What an upgrade! I was pleasantly surprised on how they changed this theater experience and that the renovations are still in progress with more fun to come. 1) Not only did they add those super fancy hi-tech soda machines, they now offer a full bar with a variety of beers and cocktails. Yes, the drinks are at movie theater prices, but I like the addition of this amenity and that you can take your beverage into any of the flicks you're seeing. 2) Reclining seats! Not only can you sit back in these plush seats, you can adjust how far you want to go up or down. I don't think I've ever been so comfy in a cinema. There is ample legroom and even if someone needs to get by, they have plenty of room to maneuver around you without disrupting your film watching experience. 3) Great surround sound. Came here to watch the new Hunger Games and felt the vibrations with every explosion on screen. 4) Super clean! I hope it stays this way. I didn't experience it, but the person working the ticket booth told me that they were adding dinner service to the right side of the theater for an even more unique movie watching experience. But when I asked for a refill I asked for sprite and was charged for a different drink. I'm just curious how that work. We got some brisket fries and they were amazing.
