We recently had some work done in our bathroom and laundry room. My contractor did a great job but the plumbers he subcontracted not so much. Our new bathroom was flooding with every load of laundry! Within 24hrs the plumbing in the entire house was backed up and pouring into our backyard. We submitted a claim with our warranty company and they referred us to American Classic Plumbing. Alex came out and looked at my old water and setup a day off replacement. They came quick and setup everything promptly. Unfortunately the water heater had a manufacturer defect that you wouldn't know until it was full of water again. They quickly removed and replaced it the following day as we unfortunately finished the project late the first day. Overall it was a great experience with Alex and his team. Did not hear from them until Friday at 5 stating they'd be at my home on Saturday between 10-2. No show or call on Saturday. Until I contacted Home Warranty of America who had to reach out to them because they would not answer the phone or respond to ANY of my calls or texts. They tell Home Warranty they'll be at my house on Monday between 3-8pm and then text me they'll be at my home on Monday between 10-2. If I could select "ZERO" stars, I would!! This company was referred to us by our home owner's insurance. When the plumber arrived to diagnose our water heater issue (in the evening, in the dark), he didn't even touch it. He took a few pictures and said it'll have to be replaced. He was at my house for a few minutes and left. When our insurance contacted us they said the plumber listed numerous code violations and part replacements needed as well as a new water heater. THIS IS CALLED DOUBLE DIPPING PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!! There is NO WAY were were out of violation when our house was inspected just shy of a year ago when we bought it. Not only that but we had another plumber come out (who we trust but does not take our insurance) and he called the guy's bluff! This complement was sent by my home warranty service due to my water heater not working. First, no confirmation call, showed up when I wasn't home, which cancelled my claim, so I had to start over, still no water heater. Second claim, no confirmation, but I stayed home bc there was a generic email sent by the warranty company stating they were coming between 7 AM and 11 AM, never asking if that was a convenient time for me. 2:30 PM I called in and the gentleman (I believe the owner) called to say I'm sorry he's running late, this only after I called my warranty company. Told me he'd be there within a half hour, I told him I had to go out again, but I would have someone waiting, have him information on the exact problem, where the water heater was, etc, still no show. Tried to contact today, voicemail fill, sent a text, got a call (presumably three owners wife, phone number shows on caller id with the damned last name) "oops, sorry..." was as her response. I got mad, she hung up. I don't know the quality of their actual work, but the poor communication tells me a lot. This company is not a wise choice. read more

I was referred to this company by First National Warranty... first mistake! I had a sewer back up into my tub. I had been in my home for one month. The company came in to start the work starting 5-31-2019. I was not back into my home for five months.. delay after delay after delay. The workmanship and craftsmanship was awful. Every time I came to check on my new home there was another issue. So disappointing. They destroyed my entry closet which still does not close properly. The toilet was placed in the tub which removed the glaze ( the owner assured me that his employees would never do something like that.. I had pictures), front door dinged and chipped, banister replacement pathetic, mature tree removed and left to die, concrete work terrible and front yard not back filled properly or compacted. And all left by workers!! Will attach pictures if able. The owner had handyman come out and fix front door and banister. The cement was repaired and tub was reglazed. All that was fixed was dUe to workers damage. I spoke with Alex owner about front yard not being compacted or leveled properly and my fear of what would happen upon first rain fall. I was told by Alex it would be addressed . It never was and when the first rain came my yard had numerous pits through the area that had been dug up. I had to have someone come over to fill in. I was told on four different occasions by the receptionist the check was in the mail....never received!! Now it has rained again and I have more pits!! I was told it must be my yard.. absurd it was right where the drain plug is, which is now underground I was also told I would receive reimbursement for tree... never received. I was told by receptionist when I alerted her of my plans of writing a review that they had gone above and beyond... I was baffled by this due to the fact that everything that had to be repaired was due to their employees. As I explained to her if the company was unable to due the job properly then they should NEVER have excepted the job. They left me the homeowner with the responsibility to complete the job which is in my opinion poor business ethics. read more

Most disappointing service ever. We noticed a leak in our garage ceiling, after calling home warranty they sent out American classic plumbing. While we were very grateful that they were able to show up the same day, it made no difference since they were unable to find the leak and never returned to complete the job. Two young men showed up, cut multiple holes in the ceiling and informed us that they could not find the leak, said they would call us the next day to schedule when they could get someone else out to look for it and left. They left our garage a mess with the drywall and trash that they brought in. The next day no one called, so the day after I tried to contact them to see when they would be coming back as the leak was still actively dripping. When I called their number it was sent to a voicemail box that was full, every single time. So I called home warranty for help, this was the only way I was able to get any information from this company. They told home warranty that they were waiting on an infrared camera and then would call to schedule the appointment. They stuck with that story for 5 days and never called us. I kept calling home warranty everyday and got the same story. After a week of calling home warranty, American classic then switched their story to "there's an access issue" and they could not come back until we removed the garage door opening mechanism and the gas line from the ceiling. They never called us to tell us, only communicated that to home warranty and refused to come back. After getting a new company to come out and look at it from the home warranty, that plumber did not have any access issues, was able to find the leak quickly, and left our home clean. Now we have to fix the holes that American classic made, and now we're sure that they were just giving us the run around because they didn't know what they were doing or didn't want to do the work. Definitely would not recommend, very disappointed. read more

Worst experience. If I can give a minus 10, I would. They were assigned by First American Home Warranty. Linda, the scheduler made the appointment but the tech didnt show up. The following day at about 6pm, she called asking me if the technician could still come in the evening and I agreed but he never showed up. When he finally came out to fix the faucet in the tub that was leaking intermittently, my faucet ended up leaking hot water continuously! He told me the valve needs to be replaced. He did not come back till after 10 days, ignoring all my calls and messages, all the time water was leaking profusely. When the technician arrived, he found out he did not have the valve in his box. Because I was leaving the following day for 1 month, I allowed him to use the new kit I bought for my other tub and was promised that I was going to get reimbursed. I gave the proof of purchase and Alex the owner authorized it with the promise that my check will be mailed. The check never arrived but they told Sarah from the President's office of First Am that it was mailed. I still have to receive it. DON'T USE THEM!!! read more

Is there an option for zero stars? Seriously, avoid the headache, frustration and stress and hire ANYONE but these people. My home warranty company assigned American Classic Plumbing (I'll refer to them as ACP) to come out and fix a problem with the water heater/hot water valve in my shower. I submitted the request and after two weeks ACP never called to schedule the appointment. So I called them and they never answer the phone. So I call the warranty company, who calls ACP and they said they never got the request. The warranty company called them again and got them to come out the next day. Okay fine, two weeks without a warm shower, but at least it will finally get fixed. Wrong. They were scheduled to come out between 12-4. 4pm comes, no plumber. I call, no answer, voicemail full. 5pm comes, no plumber. I call again, no answer, voicemail full. So I call the warranty company, who gets them to call me. I speak with Brandy the receptionist who assures me they're on their way. 6:30 comes, the guy FINALLY shows up. I show him where the problem is, and he tells me "I don't know how to work on electric water heaters." He tries to take pictures on his phone to send to Alex (who I assume is the owner), but he can't figure out how to use his phone. Meanwhile, he gets a text from Brandy, which I happened to see, that said "where are you, customer is pissed!" Well yes, Brandy, I'm a little "pissed" but given the circumstances of you never answering the phone or handling appointments and the tech being almost 3 hours late without any notice, I have every right to be a bit frustrated. So the plumber continues to try to figure out his phone, and then takes a personal call while in my hallway for about 10 min before telling me he can't fix it, but Alex would call me the next day to get someone else who could. Four days later, never heard from Alex. They are still not answering their phones and the voicemail is always full. Again I call the warranty company. They get in touch with them and ACP denies the whole situation but agrees to send someone out again. Which brings me to today. They were supposed to come again between 1-4pm. No one showed up, no one answered the phone and the voicemails are still full. I called all 6 numbers I have for them and finally Brandy answered saying no one could be there until 7pm. I told her no I'm just going to find a different plumber, and all she said was OK and hung up the phone without even an apology. Unless you're looking for a company who's rude, never answers the phone, is 3 hours late to every appointment, and has incompetent staff, then do yourself a favor and hire literally ANYONE else. read more

Wow what a fantastic job. Very professional and experienced. I would recommend them for any plumbing job you have. Ryan came out and fixed our leak under a warranty. Due to the oldness of our piping we asked him for a bid to repipe the house. He did not solicit our business. They were very reasonable so we had him do the job. When we had a small leak he was out right away and took care of it. Cannot say enough about the politeness, professionalism and integrity of this young man. Do not use these crooks! First of all, any company that would do warranty work for First American Home warranty have to be dishonest as well. First American pays their plumbing contractors $45 to install a new unit. So guess what American Classic does? They use the customers miserable predicament (no hot water) to price gauge them. $1,500 to install the new unit! We are talking unhooking three connections, hot water, cold water and gas and connecting them to the new unit. They no showed for their first appointment, then sent out the bosses son at 8pm. He stands there with a stupid look on his face and informs me that he knows nothing about Tankless water heaters. He literally just stands there doing nothing. So I finally suggested that we take the cover off so he can take a look. He says not necessary, they are just going to replace the unit. He then leaves without doing anything. This cost me $75. So do yourself a favor and find another honest plumbing company because these guys are nothing more the corrupt insurance hacks.
