The representative sold me a bill of goods that has not fixed the problem that I allowed him into my home to discuss and you resolve. I have no knowledge about foundation work and this person outright misled me. After coming into my home and starting the work, the company admitted they could not do what the representative said they could do and what the contract I signed said they would do. They did not seal my crawl space, they did not reinforce a sag in my flooring structure, they placed a sump pump drain line outside the area that I requested, they left food and clothing items in my crawl space after they were done. They bullied me. The work is sloppy. And then I allowed them to come in again to sweet talk a workaround that wasn't done correctly either. Now, I will also admit that I am a Veteran and a Nurse and that my pride may cost me and prevent me from obtaining an attorney. Although after writing this, I still may. But until then, maybe I can speak out and save someone the embarrassment and expense. Sorry it took me so long to post. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.

My review of 58 Foundations on our basement dig-out project…read more Please be advised that 58 Foundations appears to operate in violation of home improvement regulations in the District of Columbia. Their contracts are legally deficient, as they omit both the salesperson's license number and the project commencement date. Furthermore, the District of Columbia Licensing Board (DCLP) was unable to locate a license for our specific salesperson or any other individual at the firm. It seems they don't have a licensed DC salesperson. Following a ten-month delay, the company proposed a change order that would double the initial project cost. This increase is a direct result of the original salesperson's lack of expertise and professional neglect. Additionally, the company proposed a solution that is illegal under DC regulations, and their internal communication remains highly disorganized. Under District of Columbia law, performing home improvement sales without a proper license or executing contracts without commencement dates and salesperson license numbers may entitle clients to a full refund of the contract price, regardless of work completion. I recommend that any parties engaged with this company review their legal standing regarding these practices. Please be cautious if you decide to challenge this company. Their management called and threatened us claiming that we will run out of money before they do.

After consulting with several of my neighbors I discovered that one name came up in all of the conversations when it came to Concrete and his name was Gary. Gary is the owner of Worldwide Concrete, so I gave him a call. Within three days he was at my site and gave me an estimate that was very competitive with other estimates that I have been given. His personality and keen attention to detail quickly made me sign the papers on the spot to have him in his crew do the job. He explained to me that due to Covid they were backed up on jobs because of lack of supplies and increased demand within the area for concrete work. He told me that I would be on his schedule within three weeks. Two weeks and six days later I got a phone call letting me know that my slab would be prepped on Thursday and poured on Friday and that it should be ready to be used by Monday morning. Seven in the morning or what seemed like 2 o'clock in the morning to me on Thursday morning the crew showed up to frame out the slab and to explain how things were going to go on the next day. What a professional group of guys, they did their work swiftly and quietly and at times I couldn't even tell they were out there doing their job. Friday morning we're all around and sure enuff just like Thursday they showed up early in the morning and started the concrete job. Not being a straightforward slab pour, the concrete had to be wheel borrowed in from the front yard to under the deck in the backyard in order to complete the work. Within a few hours I picked out the window and I could see the slab was almost complete. After completion on Monday morning, the slab was able to be walked on and added functionality to my backyard. I would highly recommend Gary and his team to do any concrete work. I'll plan to use him in the future to do a driveway or two.

I continued giving this company the benefit of the doubt....I wanted to like them, but.....in the…read moreend I definitely regret using them. I was presented this company through a realtor (whom I didn't trust, but out of the three options - this company seemed to be best) . I researched the reviews and thought ok, they seem to be reliable. From the beginning, I just didn't get the best feeling. So, I had the crawl space inspected and knew of several areas of concern, I went a step further and had some of the species in the crawl space sent for testing. The first red flag - when E.D. Residential came, they provided no information on the more critical issues - in my humble opinion : either they didn't have the expertise or they didn't have the availability to fix the issues (maybe the realtor had something to do with this). Either way, right then and there, I decided only to allow them to do the part they brought up. a very minimal job compared to the bigger scope of the job. The realtor would pay and I would find someone more competent to the rest. Second red flag - they kept delaying (after being paid in full). I decided, ok it can wait - BUT 30 days later and I hadn't heard from them. So, I reached out constantly for maybe 30 more days (via phone/voicemail, website contact us page, text message, email). I heard nothing at all. I left several messages. Finally, a call back with no professionalism. The owner said "oh, its just $700 anyway". Just???? $700??? A job you haven't started nor scheduled 60 days after payment. He confirmed a date but blamed his secretary for no response. BUT, the number I left messages at was his - he answered/called back on. Third red flag - they showed up to my home and didnt ring the door bell, say hello we are outside - nor did they go over the finished job with me (just left). They undressed in front of my home, took a bird bath with the water hose, and walked through my flower garden. How RUDE. All caught on my RING alarm. Reconsider hiring a company with more professionalism....
