I had scheduled a two hour window to meet with an inspector so I could get an estimate. I was stood up! When I called the office I was told there was a scheduling mix up and was asked to schedule for another day. I had to take time away from work to meet with their inspector, who did not show up. I don't have the time or the patience to reschedule for a company that can't even call ahead to let me know there is a scheduling problem. 5 stars always seems unattainable. I am a hard grader and to get 5 stars I need to be simply awed. However, there is no other possible rating to give here. I bought a house in December 2019 and the inspector failed to notice at least 250 bats living in the attic. To be fair, it's a complex house and he did notify me of rodent droppings in the attic. I saw the pictures and assumed mice - an easy fix with a cat or two. He did not look in the actual attic though so we inherited a nice colony of little brown bats. After catching them in my house near nightly, I decided to find a professional. It is damn near impossible to find anyone to even come out to look let alone show up when scheduled. I tried "Town and Country Pest Control", a local company first. The owner forgot that he was supposed to show up the first day. The next day, the manager showed up and came up with a plan. Apparently the plan was to never show back up or call again. So don't even try them. Stop supporting unreliability and they will starve themselves out. So I called AEPI. From the start, Tara was extremely helpful in setting up a visit from Daniel. Daniel was there 2 days later. The bid was as reasonable as can be expected - it was bats you know. It took 2 days to seal up all access points for the bats and exclude them with one way cones. After the second day, Daniel walked the attic and crawl spaces and found zero bats. I figured maybe he missed one or two but there's a one year warranty so I figured at least we had a good start. Seriously, waking up at all hours of the night to catch bats was getting old. But all the bats were gone! Even after the first day and they weren't even finished yet! It's now been three weeks and no bats. We even had a restoration company (Hi-Pro, another 5 star review believe it or not) come yesterday and remove all the guano and dead bats from the attic and crawl spaces. No more bats. I cannot believe it. And they returned for a third time to inspect and seal off a decommissioned chimney with mesh screen. These guys are great. Prompt service, they pick up the phone when you call, they are there when they say they will be there; you know - good old fashioned customer service and good business. In this day and age, these types of places are disappearing. I will only do business with companies like this. It's a family owned business of hardworking people. You will get your money's worth for sure. I cannot recommend them enough. Good luck if you go somewhere else - I will stick with AEPI, Tara, Daniel, Larry and Kayla (I hope I got that one right!) as I was simply awed. read more

We have been using this company for 15 years, and love doing business with them. Their staff is reliable, professional, and courteous. I initially tried to manage pest issues on my own, and have discovered that their services are effective and well worth the money. I'm really not a fan of leaving bad reviews for companies, as a manager of a medium-size business I know how hard it can be to keep customers in the service industry satisfied. First off it helps if you return phone calls and see what you're going to do which is one thing American extermination fails to do. Between my wife and I we called a total of 13 times trying to reach either the owner or general manager or sales manager. We would get told by the office staff they were either in a meeting or out of the office. I actually called one day while sitting in their driveway and watching three gentleman walk in the front door. Two of the gentleman are on their website as being managers or owners. We have been with that company for many many years and have always paid our bills on time. The technicians are great in my opinion it's the only reason this company is still in business because of the technicians in the field. When the original owner retired and the business was taken over by who I would assume his son that is where the communication fell off, they wanted to change the way we build from yearly to quarterly which reduce the service and increased the price. I asked to simply speak to somebody concerning this and never once received a phone call back. I see them as a money hungry company who puts all the pressure on the technicians and the fat corporate monsters sit in their office and do nothing. Currently can't even take five minutes and return the phone call. The office staff have their hands tied she told me many times without stating names that she was told to do this and did not have an option she said she did not like her job But did not have a choice. We have gone to their competitor we are actually paying more than we were before and we are extremely happy. Good luck to the technicians I hope they find other jobs elsewhere. read more

I had decided to use American Extermination Plus last year after coming home from a winter trip to Arizona and discovering carpenter ants in our home. I had choose a one year program for an initial treatment and treatment to continue for one year. I asked if I would have the option to continue service at the end of the year or not and was told I would have the option. When the technician came to the home I again asked him before signing the contract if I would have the option to continue service or would it be automatic, he said someone would ask if I wanted to continue. Imagine my surprise when my house sitter called and said I had a invoice for $115.00 for treatment while we were away. When I called I was told it is written on the back of the contract that service is automatically renewed and I would need to pay for the service and I would have to send an email to have the service cancelled! BE VERY CAREFUL if you do business with these people! read more

Terrible what a nightmare and I feel like I was robbed $1000 this company is unwilling to even work with me to solve the issues. I hired them I was led to believe that was $900 would cover a year of spray plus $50 to fix a tiny screen I feel like this is overpriced but I went ahead and did it to save the trouble of finding somebody else technician said I could make three payments initial payment I paid more than was agreed-upon he did his initial service I just trusted he was spraying my entire home and spraying for all of the insects that was listed in my contract come to find out he only sprayed for ants because I mentioned I had previously had an issue also they told me to call back in 30 days for a follow up I had shoulder surgery so it was after the 30 days that I had called maybe a week or two because I was recovering when I finally did call could not reach anybody nobody returned my messages I was already out $400 so I continued to call finally reached this woman who was beyond rude calling me telling me I didn't pay and that they were not going to come back out unless I paid the full amount I told her no problem but I didn't know how she expected me to pay before services were done why would she make such a fuss when they haven't even completed the job anyhow she sent the technician back out to do the 30 day follow up told him I was having issues with spiders and other insects that's when he told me they didn't spray for spiders initially I was confused I thought they were spraying for all the insects that I had paid for I paid the remaining balance and I had to ask him to do certain areas I thought they cover my entire home but I guess that's only if you request it anyhow he said to call if I have issues otherwise they come quarterly about a month later he shows up again with no notice no phone call nothing saying he's there to do the quarterly I was shocked what if I wasn't home anyhow again I had to ask him to spray certain areas and why wouldn't they spray for all the insects then he had an attitude when he was done he handed me a bill for $116 I said what is that for I said I thought I paid the entire contract for a year he said that was for the start up and that it's $116 for each quarter spray I was shocked not only was he rude and insisted I read my contract but when I called the office because he said he didn't handle the issues like that although he's the manager the office was extremely rude and unwilling to solve any issues so I wrote a letter no response I just feel like I was robbed for almost $1000 none of my issues were taken care of I still have the bugs I still have the mice droppings and I'm out a thousand dollars I highly recommend you go to a different company save yourself. We've been using this service for several years. Their technician, Greg, is tops - friendly, efficient, and knowledgable. They've dealt with carpenter ants, mice, yellow jackets, bald face hornets, etc. and always done a thorough job. Just recently they took care of a yellow jacket nest in the ground near our barn that had caused our neighbor to get stung. These guys are great! Quarterly service at a fair price. read more

I have had these folks for pest control at my house for nearly 20 years, and their service has been outstanding. On the rare occasion when something maybe was not done up to par, they quickly came back out and corrected it. Plus, the service techs LOVE my dog, Molly! What's not to like? read more
