I searched everywhere for a Eyebrow and Lip waxing place, and many places charged around $20 for eyebrow and $18 for a lip.. like are you serious!? Im from Vallejo, about an hour away from sacramento and I always got my eyebrows done for $15 back home and I found this place that charges the same amount and is also right next to my new house! I came here around 9:30 on a Monday, and they weren't busy or anything.. which was to be expected because it was Monday morning. I asked to get my eyebrow and lip wax, and they told me to sign in on the clipboard. An asian lady took me to the back of the shop to a private room, which was pretty cool because who wants everyone to see you get waxed and whatever. You could tell that they were very sanitary because everything in the room was organized and the waxing beds were covered with new paper, and after she was done waxing me up she changed the paper on the beds for the next customer. When I laid on the waxing bed, I warned her that I tear a lot. (Before I started waxing I used to get my brows threaded for about 5 years, and every threading appt. I would tear up. Then decided I wanted to get my brow and lips waxed because it was much faster unlike threading.. and even when I had my brows and lip waxed I still teared up.. I learned that the reason why I tear up so much is because my hair is very thick.) And I'll tell you right now that my tearing was to a minimum because she was VERY gentle!! Her wax was not too hot, I noticed that other shops wax are very hot and sometimes burn, and she was very gentle. I don't know how many times I want to mention that she was very gentle.. haha. But after she was done waxing I thought she had put lotion on her hands but it was oil, she then gave me the best forehead/temple massage that I didn't even ask her for.. At first when I realized it was oil she was massaging my head with, I was kind of mad because I have combination kind but more on the oily side. But I realized that it made the massage much better and it calmed my skin from all the waxing. It was relaxing and it made me love the places even more! She then held the mirror up to my face and i loved how she did my eyebrows! I forgot what her name was but she is a skinny asian lady with short hair. My eyebrow and lip waxing experience was 5-star! I would recommend it to anyone from first timers to eyebrow waxing to someone who is looking for a good/cheapest shop in town. read more

My experience was great, nice staff, no wait, clean environment. But unfortunately, my nails were not so lucky. I had a younger girl, maybe in her teens. I had gel done, her edges were clean but the color, that started out as a plum purple, started having green streaks through them within 2 hrs of leaving. I don't know if the nail polish had gone bad, they choose cheap polish, or they were the sun changing ones that only changed half way but they looked terrible. The salon wasn't close to where I live, so two days later, I went to a place closer to my house and had them redone. Horrible! Thought I'd give it a try,since I was near the area & had so many good reviews. When I arrived I asked for a fill,was seated immediately.Next thing, I had 3 nail techs by my side.Apparently my nails were to shinny & had a lot going on lol, seemed like they didn't know where to Start( you notice when they all start talking in their language but are looking at you lol). I had to tell her to grab her mandrel & just start filling the Swarovski Crystals I had on. Later she broke my thumb nail off & said it would be $3 more. I didn't mind. Then she took off my two ring finger nails, because she said it had to many crystals & she wasn't going to be able to fill that,but not to worry she would not charge me for that!!!! Okayyyy... I asked if she could just fill them & polish with shellac gel, to keep it simple. She said she could but she didn't have the color I chose at first, so was trying to convince me to just get regular nail polish. I really wanted gel so I picked a different color. She re -did both my middle fingers 3x,because it was so bubbly & color looked like it was smeared everywhere. (which makes sense why she wanted me to get polish) Then one of my thumb fingers had 2 tiny black hairs,from her brush & was trying to blame me,saying it was my hair! Lmao... Too much.. She was trying to go for my middle fingers for the 4th time, until I had to stop her & tell her to just leave it & finish what she could. Prior to this I asked if she did airbrush, lady stated "no, not anymore but you can go to south sac after here & everyone does it over there " hahaha why the **** would I go all the way over there & 2 different nails places. Then I asked if she could do a design, & said she would have to ask someone else if they did that. She never got back to me, so I assumed no designs lol.It took her 2 hours for a gel fill,that will need to be fixed as soon as yesterday. HORRIBLE ACRYLICS! I went for a fill with a friend, and I had a nail break literally in the parking lot of the salon. I would have gone back for repair, if we didn't already have lunch plans. Since then I have had 5 nails break. And the Polish is coming off of most nails. All my nails are lifting at the tip. They are constantly getting caught in my hair and on my clothes. Thumbnail was butchered! My last experience here was a nightmare. I recently had a gel manicure (from a different salon), but it was time to be redone. Before they began removing the gel from my thumb, I advised that I had smashed my thumb and that there was a bruise under the nail. While removing the gel from my thumb with the rotary tool, they were neglectful of my bruised nail and actually ground a hole into my fingernail right into the bruise. It began to bleed, and I had to tell them that that wasn't normal. She said sorry and continued along. I had to ask if the gel manicure was still safe to get on my thumb which now had an open wound. The younger lady (I don't know her name) who wasn't even doing my nails came and seemed to be the only one who advised not to put anything over my thumb since it was actively bleeding. Maybe it was my fault because this woman didn't know a lick of English and needed the older woman with the tinted teeth to translate for her. I usually get my nails done by that older lady or the younger one who speaks more English and they usually do a great job. The woman who did my nails tonight literally drilled a hole in my finger!! I still got the gel manicure for my other 9 nails, since Valentine's Day is just around the corner. They did great on those 9 fingers...but what they've done to my thumb was downright neglectful. Had they treated me with respect and kindness after all this, I may not have felt the need to write a review, but this older woman (with the tinted teeth) had the audacity to tell me that my nail was already that way when I came in!! It definitely was not- I took a picture of my nail one hour before she butchered it, and i also had a gel manicure on with no problem when I came in tonight. Now, I will have to grow my fingernail until the end of summer-thanks for that. Not only did she charge me for a full $25 (no discount for one less finger?) but she seemed unsatisfied with my $1 tip.
