I'm really happy with my rig. It looks amazing. My only complaints are that my alignment was supposed to be done and wasn't, and my tires scrape my bumper. The bumper was cut and it still scrapes when I reverse and turn. I told Alex about this and they tried to remedy it by cutting the bumper more, but it now flaps in the wind on the highway. I plan to replace the bumper with an AOE fabricated bumper, their fabrications are where it's at. I love my rock sliders, look great and feel solid. Alex also offered to fix the alignment upon my next visit so that's cool. I had heard mixed reviews about AOE and got spooked at first, but Alex assured me he would get the job done and did. I am happy I didn't pull the plug on my build, and I look forward to working with Alex on the next phases of my rig's transformation.

Alex and his team are extremely savvy in Offroading and Overlanding. My Jeep Jk project has been mod'd by AOE for over 6 years. Alex is very knowledgable and works with your budget and style. When it comes to true and solid built rigs, AOE is the shop to go to. I wheel my Jeep hard and have never broken anything major. That is something to say about this shop. Thanks Alex for the beast and solid Jeep you have built!

    4Runner 2.5" bilstein lift

Hi I took my 5gen 4Runner for some lift kit Alex help me to get the perfect suspension on the market for my budget I end up getting bilstein shock 2.5 " lift in really good price, Alex was really helpful with me and the staff is very professional they really know their things. I'm really happy with the job Alex did with my 4Runner and the price he charged me for the labor was affordable

I took my stock 07 JKU to Alex. He asked me about the type of offroad trails I was planning on doing so we built it to the proper level. I decided on lift, lockers, axles, gears, bumpers, skid plates and more. I was very happy with the outcome. When minor issues came up Alex did not hesitate to address them. I also had AOE do the suspension and build a custom bumper for my Tacoma which came out beautiful. I gave four stars because Alex could definitely improve communication and setting of expectations for deadlines. I will continue to use AOE.

See anything wrong here? Alex won't fix this poor quality work.

Wish I could give less than one star. So many stories like mine here in Yelp. Empty promises, blown deadlines and horrible quality of work. I will post pics later so you can judge for yourself. I can see the talent and potential but follow thru and attention to committed projects is worst I have seen.

Alex and the gang are fantastic. If you own any type of overland vehicle you must go here. They are very fair and can do just about anything. If your part is not made they will fabricate it for you. One stop shop! Just check out this work they did repairing my rotted out FJ60 crossmember. Looks new...

My husband spent a couple years talking with him about possibly getting our new Jeep lifted etc & going over the various options available. Then he finally took the rice and did it! Great work & fantastic quality! Definitely the best choice!

Alex was incredible to work with. We have a Lexus GX470 that we wanted to add a lift and suspension to for our off-roading adventures and hunting trips. We started working with a different business originally but after poor communication and less than ideal customer service we started looking for a new shop to work with. That is when we found AOE and Alex! We highly recommend him and will be back for more custom work on the vehicle! We have already taken it out for some test runs and off road excursions with great results.

AOE did a good job on my front bumper, rear bumper and sliders for the 80 series I had them put a triple receiver in the rear bumper for my motorcycle rack and they custom modified the Jerry can holder to work with my older gas cans I'm happy how it came out but the rear bumper did take a long time to finish.

"READ THE 1-STAR REVIEWS FIRST - FATAL SAFETY FAILURE" I…read morechose Rebel Off Road because I trusted their professional image and public reputation, but what I experienced was shocking, stressful, and completely unacceptable. Throughout this situation, I tried to remain professional and respectful and expressed my willingness to resolve everything amicably. Yet, after paying nearly $4,000 for a re-gear service, I discovered a massive gear oil leak covering my driveway the very next morning due to an improperly secured axle. This left my driveway stained and reeking of gear oil--with professional cleaning estimates ranging from $400 to $600--and I spent the entire weekend in anxiety, questioning whether my truck was even safe to drive, and eventually having to return it on Monday, which disrupted my business. During this process, I was communicating with my assigned service advisor, but responses were often delayed, unclear, or evasive; messages went unanswered, questions were redirected, and clear answers were difficult to obtain. When I brought the truck back, it was described as "just a loose axle" and claimed fixed, yet no documentation was provided proving that the differential or internal gears were inspected after I had driven it for an hour while leaking. Their claim that "there is no problem" or "everything is fine" is something no reasonable person could trust. With re-gear work, any mistake or improper setup often only becomes apparent after several thousand miles of driving. This is why a formal guarantee is not just a request, but a necessity. When I requested a formal written warranty, they only gave me a $0 invoice with no actual warranty terms or duration. For days, I calmly requested two very reasonable things: a formal written warranty and a fair resolution for the driveway damage. I never demanded compensation for emotional distress or lost business time; I simply asked for accountability. After experiencing this, I looked through other reviews and realized that my experience was not an isolated incident. I strongly urge everyone to READ THE 1-STAR REVIEWS FIRST before coming here. You will see a chilling and habitual pattern: dodging responsibility, being 'afraid of standing behind their work,' and sneakily adding extra charges--then claiming they are unavoidable. In fact, I later realized the overcharge I experienced was just a small fraction compared to what others have reported. You will also notice that the owner's responses to negative reviews are always the same--robotic, defensive, and dismissive. They publicly ask customers to 'contact us' to give the appearance of being helpful, but it is nothing more than a deceptive marketing tactic. If they truly intended to resolve these issues, my driveway wouldn't still be stained, and I wouldn't be left with a useless $0 invoice instead of a real warranty. The fact that these 1-star reviews remain unchanged proves that their 'invitation to talk' is a sham and nothing ever gets resolved. They have a template for excuses but no manual for accountability. I am sharing my experience and my filing with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) so that other victims know there is a formal way to seek accountability. After seeing so many similar complaints, I strongly encourage anyone who has had similar experiences with their safety, property damage, or deceptive billing to file a formal complaint with the BAR as well. As a business owner for over 20 years, I understand mistakes happen, but I cannot accept a refusal to take responsibility. I am now filing a formal complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair and initiating a credit card dispute. A strong online presence means nothing if a company fails to protect its customers' safety and property. [UPDATE: Response to the Owner's Reply] The owner's response below is exactly what I warned about: a robotic, defensive excuse that shifts the blame. They claim a 'failed C-clip' on an aftermarket part, but as any professional knows, this is a clear sign of improper installation, not a part failure. They also claim they 'verified' no internal damage, yet they provided zero technical proof or a detailed inspection report after I drove with no oil for an hour. Mentioning a '90-day warranty' now is laughable--if that were true, why did they refuse to provide a formal written warranty when I asked for it repeatedly for days? Their response is just another marketing tactic to look responsible in public while remaining unaccountable in private. My filing with the BAR and the credit card dispute will proceed as planned.

I also explained that I already had a new amp but was concerned it may not have been properly installed by my husband, and I asked that it be assessed as part of the labor. I was told the amp would be evaluated and that, if needed, the head unit could be bypassed to address any volume limiter. The salesperson continued to recommend new speakers. I agreed to replace the speakers, but I was clear that the amp assessment not existing poor sound quality was the issue. The volume issue was not resolved. The system is not louder, which was the sole purpose of the visit. I would not be raising this concern about the cost with the new speakers if the volume had actually increased. I did not pay to improve sound quality, and the current sound quality is worse than before. I was charged for a solution that did not match the problem or the agreed scope of work, and the original issue remains unresolved.

At around 54K miles, my local mechanic noticed an intermittent ticking noise once the engine was fully warmed up. Out of caution, he suggested it could be related to the rod bearings. When I spoke with Malek, he told me the job could be completed in a single day, and his pricing was comparatively fair. He also recommended replacing the engine mounts while everything was apart. After seeing the originals, which had significant wear and visible cracks, it was an easy decision.
