Visited today, loved it! Very friendly staff, great service, clean and spacious place as well! They have pizzas, burger, fries, subs, salads, appetizers. We got the large veggie pizza, cheesy bread, garlic parm and honey sriracha dipping sauces and raspberry cheese cake chimis. Everything was delicious. Great portions, would definitely recommend!

This place is a fun and great tasting local pizza joint. Their pizzas are true to NY style. The staff is friendly and work quickly to get orders sent out. Their Philly sub and fries is one of my favorites here. The place has a fun local vibe. Clean and taken care of restaurant.

Great little spot for some good pizza. Friendly staff. We went with the Philly cheese steak pizza and meat lovers. Both were great. Would definitely recommend it.

Small store, but big pizza! My family and I have been on the hunt for great LOCAL pizza since moving to the area 2 years ago. It was found at American Pizza Oven! They have pizza by the slice, whole pizza, subs, and everything in between! They even offer military discount! The pizza and garlic knots we ordered were made quickly and tasted phenomenal!

Gluten free pizza with mushrooms and 'roni. Freaking DELIRIOUS about this GF pizza!

WOW,! JUST AMAZING! So I am cursed with sticking to a gluten-free diet. And in doing so lost contact with the love of my life, pizza! Here and there you can find a gluten-free crust. A lot of times it's like eating pizza toppings on a saltine cracker. Other times it's flimsy and rubbery. And this case it was the. Best. Pizza. I have been served in a gluten-free format in 15 years! So glad they are close to home. So sad it took us so long to try it! The person at the front of house was personable, cheerful, and super helpful. I just can't say enough good things about this place! *Chef's kiss*

We have drove past this place so many times. Tonight, we made the jump to try it. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by staff and asked to sit wherever we would like. The restaurant seemed very clean and well-maintained. The wonderfully sweet waitress was very helpful with the menu and answering any questions we happened to have. She quickly returned with our drinks. Then took our food orders. I am vegetarian and ordered the calzone with mushrooms, ricotta and mozzarella cheese. My hubby ordered a cheese pizza slice and a deep fried pizza slice. My kids ordered a cheese and pepperoni slice. After a very short wait, our food came to us piping hot and made to what we asked. My calzone was huge and really tasty. My hubby's cheese pizza slice was good and his deep fries pizza slice was big. Interesting idea. The kids were very happy with their pizza slices. Overall, it was a good experience. We will be back.

I don't think I've ever had a bad beer at DCBH, which is no small feat given the wide range of styles they do. I like pale ales, particularly hazy IPAs, and they've had great ones--but they also have great wheat beers, and porters, and sours. There's usually a kumquat beer on the menu. It's great, too. Really. The interior is spacious and well-lit, and on days that the weather permits, the roll-up doors to the patio and sometimes to 7th Avenue are open. It's a great place to hang around with a beer and write, and probably a great place to hang around with a beer and actually be social, if you're the type who does that. The service is always friendly, fast, and generally above and beyond. Worth special note: DCBH has always had a restaurant counter that's a separate business, and they've on (I think) their third one, Uncle Fatty's. They're really solid, delivering not only pub staples but sometimes surprising specials; it's some of the best food I've had at any brewery. They need to be open later on Thursdays. So: it's good. Go there.

I was hoping this would be a nice local place to get a bite; unfortunately, it was not. Starting with, we stood at the door several minutes before anyone acknowledged us. There were maybe 4 occupied tables at the time (I say this because I am always looking at extenuating circumstances for a bad overall experience). Our fish sandwich and clam strips were overcooked, tasted like they were cooked in old oil. The clams were so hard they were left uneaten, by the time the server checked on us we just wanted to leave. Leaving was another issue, after 3 attempts to get the correct check (we did not ask to delete or change anything) we gave up and paid what appeared to be the closest. I think the final irk for me was there was only one server and when she got busy another person got up from hanging out at the bar and helped her only briefly then returned to their bar seat while the other server struggled. As a former restaurant person, I do not like people going from bar patron to food server; it's just bad management. If you want beer and a pool table, then it may be your place; but I would skip the food.
