The price was extremely reasonable; we had intended to get three estimates but my mom and I both lined Kris so much we decided to go with him right away. I chose a day for installation when Kris was going to be out of town on vacation so he let me decide if we wait to wait until he got back or if we wanted him to send his right hand man Daniel. We went with Daniel who showed up right on time on a cold morning. I thought removing the old badly cracked panes of glass would be very difficult. I was right but they got the old ones out quickly and the new ones in so fast and they finished about 30 minutes before their estimate. They only removed one window at a time and our house never got cold on a 33 degree day This was one of the best customer experiences for a project I have ever had. I chose EV Windows after asking CharGBT to find me a great window company with very good reviews and I'm so glad I did. I do not have one negative thing to say. I had a little bit of sticker shock from the first quote so decided this would be worth getting multiple quotes on. And Home Build was one of them due to their stellar Yelp reviews. I called them and they were able to send Oscar out right away. They told me to save 60 -90 min for the consultation, which seemed like a lot of time considering every other company just needed 5-10 min of my time. However, i was willing to invest the time for the right doors and right price. Oscar and i met for over an hour. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about all my door options. He brought along a presentation (via his ipad), as well as materials so we got it all done within that hour. The other companies took a lot less, but resulted in a few trips to my house and lots of back and forth via email. I honestly probably prefer the latter since less time all at once. In the end I went with a different company due to price, but thought this company offered a good product at competitive pricing so would be worth looking into them.

I contacted "American Thermal Window Products" and wanted to get this house project rolling before 2022 came. Unfortunately, due to labor and material shortages, I was informed the door installation would be at least a three-month wait. Hey, that wasn't the company's fault and I always received a good service and prompt responses from the office. Nick was assigned to get in touch with me for an estimate. Nick and everyone else in the office were very friendly. Nick explained everything about the estimate (free in-person estimate) and answered any questions we had. He emphasized that everyone involving with the installation process worked for the company. With that being said, there would be no third party contractors hired off the street! I understood the virtue of using the company employees. I have been part of the gig economy for some times. I wouldn't say the contractors wouldn't do a job, yet there could be a lack of accountability on their part of work certainly. In late February 2022, I received a voicemail from Linda and immediately called the office. She scheduled the installation date for me and provided an arrival window. The crew came in prepared within the window and was ready to work! The installation was rather quick. The cleaning was thorough. Everything was painless. The crew leader told us that adjustment could be made if there was a need. That door...let me tell ya...was a godsent. It helped conserve the heat. It did have an energy-star icon, for those who are into the energy-efficient appliances. It is also esthetically pleasing. Overall, I'm very satisfied. I'm going to inspect the windows for the rest of the house and to see if I can get "American Thermal Window Products" involved again.

Then they promptly sent me a quote later that day. The price was great and everything comes with a lifetime warranty, including labor! I replaced all of the windows at my home in Lincolnwood. It took about 3 weeks to be custom made and 1 day to install. The installers did an amazing job! So fast, helpful, moved my furniture and installed all of the windows, put foam insulation around the frames and capped everything on the outside in aluminum. I can already notice the difference in temperature in my house. It looks beautiful. I had a question about how to work one of the windows a few weeks later and called Semko, and they came right out to show me how to use it the same day! After selecting the quote for the windows we wanted to get done, a down payment was made and the windows were ordered. They came in a few weeks later and two of their team members came out to install them in the morning. Everything was done quickly and professionally with care. After the install, I had a question about one of the windows since it looked like there was a small crack at the top corner and they sent someone out to look at it right away. It turned out it was just some glue residue that was attached on the inside of the window that made it look like a crack and was easly scraped off with a razor blade. Dave responded quickly to evaluate the project, he was attentive to my concerns and what I needed, and he presented me with a range of quality and price options. Based on my research and competing quotes, the cost for my chosen option was reasonable. I wanted better windows and I knew they would take a while longer to manufacture. Unfortunately, we were up against a deadline with winter coming and weren't able to sneak the job in before the weather turned consistently bad. It was definitely worth waiting for though.
