My Dinner included soup, salad ( delicious small Greek salad option) I had filet of sole franchise perfect and rice pudding for dessert. Food delicious Kelly was a great waitress. All around a great experience. Someone walked by to compliment the manager how delicious the paella was. I would never order that in a diner but she was so thrilled with it maybe I would. It's our first time here since the new ownership and we wanted to give this place a try. We came here after work and were immediately seated. We got stuffed into a corner and I didn't know why because the restaurant was empty. It wasn't like there was going to be a massive crowd coming in at the last second. Daughter ordered Swedish Meatballs over noodles and liked it. She said that she would order it again. She missed Ikea and wanted a little taste of it to remind her of the place. LOL. She also got split pea for soup and thought it was pretty good, too. Hubs ordered Seafood Paella, which came with shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams and calamari with carrots and celery. It's all sautéed in a Portuguese paella sauce and tossed over rice and spinach. He thought it was pretty good for standard diner fare. He said that the paella didn't remind him of Spain, but it's seafood with rice and he liked it. Hubs got the matzoh ball soup and thought it was ok. Lastly, I had the California Cheeseburger and thought this was ok. I shared the burger with daughter. Hubs thought that my burger was the best meal of the night. Hubs thought the salad and the vegetables accompaniment for my burger were fresh, cold and crunchy. Service was friendly and relatively quick. But the restaurant was still empty by the time we were done with our dinner. No massive crowd coming in. read more

Solid New Jersey diner. We went there with the family on a Sunday morning we had the typical breakfast fare. Some eggs, bacon and pancakes. The bacon was great. I hate when it's murdered and falls apart when you take a bite. The pancakes left me missing something. Loved the texture but the flavor was missing something. May salt? Dunno. This place is so cute. Yes, it is a diner, but it is super nicely kept up and so clean on both the inside and outside. Our server was nice and quirky. Most of us had great meals - highly recommend the pork roll egg and cheese sandwich and the cheesecake. Surprisingly the prime rib special was also a hit. The quantity of food is massive. Overall quite good for a diner. I would give 5 stars if not for the "pot roast" special (picture attached). I have no words. read more

We were on our way back from a trip to Wildwood and wanted to stop at a diner, and this one happened to be the midway point of our trip. It is very easy to find, and there is a huge parking lot so no worries about parking. This place looks like a really old school diner inside and out. Even with age, everything inside was still clean and presented nicely. The menu is huge, with so many different choices. You can basically find anything. The service was pretty good, and the food average. I would say the best thing going for this place is the look of it. But if you're in the area, and don't know what to eat, you'll definitely find something for everyone her. read more

Have always liked the food but was here very recently and ordered a chicken dish.....whoever is prepping their chicken fillets is not doing a good job. Had lots of icky parts in my dish including hard cartilage & a piece of something unidentifiable. Table behind us sent back a whole dish becasue it wasnt edible. Not sure what happened to this place. This has been my go to diner for the last 20 years it was always clean and the food never disappointed. Service was ok, food was a disappointment as the burger was overcooked and really greasy. Table was dirty, menu was filthy. I'm guessing it's new owners because a lot of the ambiance was missing, like the old trinkets and collectibles that made this pace really stand out when I would walk in. First time at Americana Diner,,, 3 of us for breakfast. Delicious! Our waitress, Kelly, was great! We had the "breakfast specials" which included a small juice, unlimited coffee. 2 had omelettes, 1 had eggs & sausage. Huge portions. We love the americana diner. We've driven by it many times, but finally decided to go in and boy are we glad we did. I had a BLTA also known as bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado and it was perfect. Since moving out to NJ, I have been on the hunt for a really good diner. In NY, diners are on every corner. However, I digress - the Americana Diner is what you make of it. Both times I have dined here, there was an incredibly long wait. I don't think that you can call ahead and make a reservation. But on a Sunday morning, I feel this would be typical of any diner. We waited about a half-hour for a table for two. After sitting, we were informed that the kitchen was very backed up so it would be a while. I had nowhere to be, so I didn't mind the wait. The food is typical diner food - I got eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. You can't really mess this up. It's greasy, it's delicious, it's diner food. The coffee is pretty mediocre but it does continuously pour which was nice during the wait. Pre-pandemic diners were all the rage for me, post-pandemic I could have this experience at home. But when I am looking to get out of the house and have some diner food, I would come back. I would just prepare myself for the wait. read more

Their tableware is very Americana-like. Diners are just diners, usually Greek influenced. This diner doesn't stay open 24 hours, like most. Check times. Absolutely immaculate outside. Beautiful and clean inside. The food was mediocre (Spanish omelette). The men's room was fairly clean except for a bucket of soiled toilet paper between the stalls. How disgusting. I mentioned it when I was checking out. She asked "how was everything ". When I told her about the bucket, she simply said "ok". She wasn't surprised. Wow. The ladies room was a horrible mess. If the bathrooms are like this, I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. read more

Had a great experience at this diner, can't complain about anything. Ample space in the parking lot and the Island was even decorated for the season (autumn/Thanksgiving). We were a large party with a baby stroller and they accommodated our party over two side only side tables. We split a chicken gyro and a burger. Both can with those Diner steak fries that are my absolute favorite. The waitress was super accommodating and sweet - brought extra tzazteki, mayo, etc. Burger was cooked medium. I liked that they had TVs on, it took the edge off as we just came from a wake. I would definitely be back. read more

Ordered corned beef and cabbage; came out unseasoned with no salt or pepper or anything. Corned beef was tough to chew and the only thing actually edible was the tiny cup of split pea soup that cane with it and the boiled potatoes, left there hungry and went to another restaurant. management should make the menu smaller and focus on making a few really good dishes. My mother ordered pancakes and at least those came out fine. read more

Service is terrible and if you say something you have to be concerned with them spitting in your food. I suggest checking out four seasons around the corner.
